Went in for a pedicure and a fill. Pedicure was great minus the fact that they charge you $5 to remove gel polish (only if you aren’t putting gel polish back on your feet), which was odd to me. But let’s talk about my nails… boy do they look rough. So I’m a simple person, didn’t request any extravagant shape. I asked for tapered square, which is literally traditional square nails w/ some sharpness to it (more narrow)… my nails look like blobs, you can’t see the shape because she filed incorrectly then applied a sh’t ton of polish so now my nails all look like different shapes due to the inconsistent polishing. I did say something before leaving and all she did was add more polish… I got frustrated and left. Yeah, it’s a nice place (looks wise). But they don’t listen to their customers and think they know what’s best.

This is my first time coming to this salon (I’m from Michigan) and I absolutely loved it! I got a gel manicure with Vee and she was very kind and did a great job. She was very gentle but thorough in the trimming/filing process and she took the extra 10 seconds needed to double check each nail before curing the gel under the lamp. Everyone else at the salon seemed very welcoming and friendly as well. The place was very well organized with plenty of colors to choose from, it was very clean, and the manicure supplies come fresh out of a sterilized package! Next time I’m in the area, this is the place to go!

I went in for a fill but was told I needed new set, I was ok with that. I showed the lady the size & shape I wanted (small almond). She made them too short and pointy. Some of them were also crooked, slanting towards one side. When I pointed it out she continued to file down the crooked side. I had shown her the design I wanted & was told she could do it. When she finished adding the polish she called someone else over to do the design but it came out smudge so I had her remove it. They both just walked away & left me sitting there, didn’t brush off the excess powder nor add the cuticle oil. Terrible service for the excess fees they charged.

Horrible!!! Will never ever return!! I had a 5pm appt. for my daughter to get a simple manicure. We were early and were waiting patiently as they were busy. A woman came in late for her 5:15 while we were still waiting and they sat her immediately to get her started. The lady stated her appointment was scheduled at 5:15 when she enetered the salon. We were sitting at the front waiting so we heard the entire conversation. So unprofessional!! Do not recommend!!!

Walked in and walked right back out. The lady at the front was very rude. A large group of ladies, probably 8 or so jumped in front of my daughter and I, my daughter just wanted to get her nails done, and these ladies I guess had an appt or something.. which is fine, but we were trying to get in the door and they literally just jumped in front of us. One of the ladies was asking why you have to wear a mask and the lady working there was arguing with her about it. Just rude and unprofessional from the get go. I was like nope. Too much going on in there and too much chaos. We will just go somewhere else.

I always ask for Lil Nail Shop for a manicure or pedicure. She is so kind and careful and does a beautiful job, including little stamp designs. The place is friendly and relaxing and they have a good selection of colors.

They talked about customers in their own language that I was able to translate. Made me very uncomfortable. Talked bad about a customer who would not wear a mask due to health reasons. I wont go back. Speak English

I’ve been here 3 times and thought this would be my new nail place. My nails were perfect on the first visit but the second was rushed and now after a whole week my gel polish is chipping away. The pedicures I’ve had done twice and they were both times very mediocre.. my feet are dry, peeling and just a waste of time and money. I’ve spent a good bit of money hear but unfortunately I might only return for the nails

I have have always been a huge advocate for Lil Nail Shop and have been going there for over a year. I actually travel to go there! But lately, I have been pretty disappointed with my services. That being said, the quality of work 100% depends on who does your nails. The majority of the women who work there do a great job, but the past couple of times Ive been, my manicure has been sloppy. The cleanliness of the salon has gone down hill significantly. They dont really clean up in between clients and there is always dust (which is ground up fingernail particles of everyone who goes in there) all over everything. Finger nails are body parts and carry a lot of bacteria. This would totally be unacceptable at a dental office or medical office.. I mean, if I went to the dentist and saw ground up teeth particles all over the place, Id be horrified.At my most recent service, the nail tech pulled some instruments out of her desk that werent in a sterile pouch, which makes me think she could have used them on someone right before me. In fact, I know thats what happened because when she was finished with me, she wiped them off with cotton and stuck them back into her desk. 😰I asked for my nails to be rounded, but they came out more like a rounded square. Im just disappointed with how my service went. The cellphone usage and talking amongst each other and not much to the clients has increased significantly. Its just really different than how it used to be when I first started coming. I might look into trying a new salon now. 😔Jenny, her sister, Monica, Flo, and Ashley have always done great work though! Monica and Flo in particular pay really close attention to detail and are super friendly.

Have gotten pedicures for last 20+ years. Worst I have ever experienced. The person was more interested in talking to fellow employee than doing their job. Poor trimming, poor filling and mediocre massage of feet and legs.

We came here for a mani, and a mani pedi. my nails turned out amazing! my mothers however, were thick, clumpy, and never dried, it was most likely expired polish. my mothers nails slid off in the car, and looked absolutely horrid. my nail tech had long hair and piercings in both of her ears, i recommend her. my mothers nail tech was rushing and of poor quality

I went to this place awhile ago and it was horrible. do not recommend if you want acrylics. i asked for a light purple color acrylic and got a very very dark blue and it was not clean. they cut up my cuticles very badly, they were burning and it got infected.

They do not stand behind their work. Never never again will I go there! I paid $50 for gel dip nails and a “manicure” and within two days the clear coat was peeling off. Then a nail came completely off. The earliest I could go in for the repair was 7 days from the initial visit. Then they charged for the repair. I asked if they normally charge to repair and she said yes because the person that did my nails on the first visit wasn’t there that day... what? Why wouldn’t she tell me that upfront? So I wouldn’t have had to pay if the girl that did my nails was there when I went back? So that’s why I say they don’t stand behind their work as a salon. Oh, and she couldn’t match the color either.

This is the only nail salon I’ll go to in town. Personally, I aways see Monica or Mrs. Lisa, if she’s available. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I always get the SNS and a pedicure whenever I go. I have no complaints!

I would NOT recommend this nail salon. My nails were not done very well, and they started chipping in less than 24 hours. I was very disappointed. This was the first time I had my nails done and years.

Our first visit, took my nieces, one 14 and one 7 to have their nails done, first time ever for the 7 year old. Lil Nail Shop did amazing with both of them. The wait wasn’t very long and they were busy, they did amazing at doing just what the girls asked for. Helped them decide what was going to look best and age appropriate, matching colors perfectly and kept the 7 year old from her nails getting damaged while they dried. Also had the oldest get her eyebrows done and they did an amazing job and I will definitely be returning.

The girls were so polite and very informative! They helped me create a girls day for me and my daughters while saving money. I will go back and say that if any woman wants to be pampered, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! They are a little pricy but its worth it!!! Loved it!!

Kim is wonderful and always has a bright smile and a caring ear. The shop is always clean and bright and the music is the best. I went in to get a pedicure with my 5 year old and, have my nails done.I felt like our pedicures were rushed through and, my daughter didn’t get to start her pedicure until like 10 minutes after me because the lady was talking.The ladies who did our pedicures were nice though. The salon wasn’t very clean.At least not what I am use to. The staff talked more to each other than they did me which is fine because I had a hard time understanding them but, it made my daughter uncomfortable.The woman doing my nails didn’t get all my polish off.She pulled her tools out of a drawer but, I’m not so sure they were sterile.She rushed through my nails.My gel polish wasn’t all the way cured and was sticky.I didn’t notice until the morning but, the polish job is dodgy on some fingers as well.While not my nail tech, the one beside me got on her phone several times while doing a young ladies nails.It was very unprofessional. I have paid $40 for a better pedicure and manicure together.I was looking forward to the experience in the shop but, I was disappointed and, ready to get out of the hot building.It was okay for a last minute trip but, we will not return.

This was honestly the best nail shop I had found in RH. I always had my nails done the way I asked, no dirty tools were used, a brand new bag was brought out every time for my pedis. I usually got gel nails that lasted for at least 2 weeks. No ridiculous prices either!!

I was told it would be a 15-20 minute wait and it was an hour! Then the girl cut my nails way to short so I couldn’t do French tip like I wanted to. I also don’t like when they speak in their own language makes me feel like there talking about me! I’m sure they would feel uncomfortable if I went in there and started speaking in Spanish to my friend. Especially when I know they all understand English!

Never back at this place. Waiting for one hour to do regular manicure. And I baby girl can do better.The color is everywhere in my nails

I’m the past this place would have rated 3 or 4 stars for the wait/service. I have never waited an hour to get my nails done. The workers did not seem in a hurry and did not have enough staff for more than 3 people. They did not greet me when I came in either. I was so excited about a pedicure and ended up having to get a polish change. As a working mom of two babies this was precious time to me. Very disappointed and won’t be back.

I have been here a few times. Today I give it 2 stars because the young man who assisted me is obviously new to the industry. I was cut on my pinky toe with his cuticle scissor and then he put the callus remover on top which stung like a $##%!! I tried to wipe the stuff off the nail bed as the other woman next to him was trying to explain what was happening in their native foreign tongue. He then grabs the spray bottle with rubbing alcohol to cleanse my wound. F$%#@! Yes, it hurt!! Painfully so!. Needless to say, i did not ask him to put nail polish on my toes. I left the nails bare. Secondly, He never remembered to cut the other foots nails back so I did ask him to do so. Again, the gentleman to the other side of him had to relay the information by translating. Bottom line. The price still had to be paid and tip was expected. So here is my tip. Go to someplace that is educated and skilled and speaks English. Today the service here was below par. I will need to check around for other nail salons in the area.

I guess you have to be a customer of the place for them to acknowledge you when you walk in or they only do appointments. Very impersonal employees. This is my second time walking in there, you know just giving them the benefit of a doubt, still the same. There will not be a third time for sure.

I gave this place a 2 because the staff is friendly. However, the skill set wasnt the greatest. I visited on my birthday (a week ago) with the expectation my nails would look stellar. I had polish all over the tips of my fingers. I had to ask for nail polish remover. They removed it, but my nails hadnt been inspected for her to even discover this on her own in the first place. As I was drying my nails, I saw the stains. They are super friendly, but I probably wouldnt go back.

Had a nice pedicure but it was very fast. I had closed toe shoes (lack of planning) and the woman convinced me to get gel polish on my toes. My $35 pedicure ended up being $55! I would suggesting telling your customer when there is a huge mark up like that! The woman who did my friends pedicure was constantly talking to us and talking bad about her sister! Not as relaxing as other places.

Maybe I just caught them at the wrong time or maybe they work by appointment? I arrived at opening to get a fillin, there was one person in front of me. They had me take a seat and then proceeded to take 2 other customers in front of me for toes and then started another ones nails. I dont understand why all these people went in front of me and no one said anything to me until I was walking out the door feeling like I had been skipped over. Got my nails done here before and was pleased but this visit was not enjoyable.

Would not recommend this nail shop! Extremely unprofessional and over priced especially for the quality of service. I’m sure there’s other great nail shops around Richmond Hill so don’t even waste your time + money on these guys.

Wonderful experience.!!!! My skin is dry and Monica did the botanical treatment for me on my legs, and the are still smooth. ( over two weeks). I used a cream from the Doctor that has not worked as well. My mani and pedi are still great.

Customer service is not what is use to be since the last owner left (lisa) and nails break and pop easily. Plus I went in there to get my eyebrows done and she totally made one thinner than the other. They need to get the older one back, because whoever doing eyebrow now need more practice and it’s not going to be on me. But other than that it’s a nice place to look at on the inside. 😗. But I just don’t like the workers attitude, like they don’t want to do nails or something, they skill set not that high oh and they lied to, me telling me it’s going to be a long wait, just so I’ll leave. Trust me you won’t see me come there anymore. I just didn’t want to drive all the way to savannah but it seems like I’m going to have to do that to get good costumer service. Lisa I miss you come back where ever you went. And I’ve been going here since hey first opened and I defiantly see a change. I went just last week for a mani, pedi and eyebrow wax. I upgraded to gel pedicure. The woman told me I needed a style update and that my last layer should be a layer of this chrome powder for a shiny look so I said ok. Then she suggested they add it to my hands so I said OK to that too. I go to check out and what is usually $90-$95 worth of services was $145!! The charged me $20 extra for just gel polish on my pedicure instead of regular, then $10 for the chrome powder--thats $30 extra added to my pedicure! She did the same thing with my SNS manicure and another $10 for that stupid chrome powder she pushed on me. At no time did she mention these huge upcharges. She was kind of sassy but I tried to just deal with it, but realized this lady is a con artist---I mean on my pedicure, thats ridiculous...she implied she was just swapping the last light pink layer for a layer of something shiny instead...I mean I couldve bought multiple full size bottles of gel polish for that. She was speaking to her coworker (who kept complaining about her horrible mother and looked like she just rolled out of bed...dirty rumpled scraggly shirt, messy hair) and when I asked what they were talking about (they were speaking a different language, which was fine, but they were giggling so I wanted in on the joke) and she was saying that she doesnt understand why they finish all the cleanup for fill-ins...when I asked why wouldnt they, she said that it takes extra time and she charges extra for that...to basically finish tidying up a job she is being paid for, she charges extra. Let me tell you when I got to the register I understood that this lady is just a clever upseller and she tags lots of little fees onto her services to make herself more money. Then she has the poor brand new guy who doesnt know whats going on do the ringing up---probably the only way to get away with basically stealing money from clients. I mean 50% more than regular services? Thats ridiculous. Furthermore, I got my nails done a week tomorrow and the SNS dip is already chipping (she does extremely thin layers, its clear shes very cheap about her product) and the supposed gel polish I was charged a $30 upcharge for my toes started peeling literally two days later at my family function on Saturday that I got it done for. One week after $150 in services and Im headed back again today b/c my polish is so chipped it would look unprofessional at my interview tomorrow. Not cool. The lady that did mine and runs up peoples bills also passed me off to two different people for parts she didnt want to do, like the actual pedicure part. She just did the polishing and the upcharging.

They push to upselling like crazy. I went in for a simple manicure. They tried to talk me into a French tip which I finally agreed to. Then I had to argue with them about not wanting gel or sns. The girl told me she didn’t want to do a regular manicure on me because it was not going to last. I explained I didn’t care, I only needed it to last for the one evening and I would remove it the next day. Finally I gave into gel. She pushed SNS then and I asked the difference between the two. She never told me there was a a huge price difference. I asked after she had started to find out there was a huge difference. Especially when I came in for a basic manicure now I am up to $50. She told me not to get the manicure. Umm my cuticles looked terrible I needed it. I told her to stop I because she didn’t tell me the price difference and she said “You didn’t ask”. I asked the difference between gel and SNS and she should have told me because that was a difference. Needless to say she didn’t completely take the SNS off and handed me over to someone else to do my basic mani. Now I am having to take the layer of SNS off at home that I didn’t want in the first place. Not to mention my cuticles are still a mess and because they did polish over a half SNS job my mani looked terrible. I do not recommend this place at all.

This Salon is very dishonest with their practices. I had a botch eyebrow job done and they refused to refund my money, they blamed the TEXTURE of my eyebrows for their lack of cosmetology skills. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.
