Im sure they are great, Ive never been there or had any contact with them.
Although the repair personnel were very competent and professional, the appointment process needs significant improvement. My simple repair on a relatively new (18 month) oven, took three appointments - thats three workdays. The repairmen should be empowered to fix the repair in one, or at most, two visits. And, the 2 hour repair window is a nice feature if it works. For the first appointment, we ended up waiting 5 hours because the window kept advancing.
The Sears Master Protection Plan has served us well over the years. Whenever an appliance has failed, they have fixed it or replaced the appliance with an equivalent store credit so we could purchase a new one of our choice. We love the peace of mind it brings. The technicians they send have always been knowledgeable and courteous. Well continue with the plan as long as it is available to us because it is well worth the money. Unless you want to buy cheap appliances and replace them each time they break, and have just a few of them, or you know how to fix appliances yourself and are willing to do the diagnostics and repairs, then a maintenance plan makes sense, and Sears has a fantastic plan.
Excellent communication on when the repair person would arrive. I really like the messages, texting and phone call options. That way I knew what was going on. Repair person work slippers over his work shoes. Nice touch! Excellent repair. He stayed until it was fixed and he tripled checked everything. 100% pleased.
Young men were very nice; however they did not fix a thing. The same thing is still happening plus the ding when the washer is done is not there anymore. The first time I washed a load the same thing happened. I have had company and that is why I have not contacted anyone. If you can reschedule it would be appreciated.
Techncian No Show! Lack of Respect for Customer’s Time! Discourteous Technicians! We had an appointment today for a refrigerator repair (appointment made through Sears) - we stayed home all day and the technician neither called nor showed up! I called Sears this morning and were told we were third on the technician’s route. Later in the day, I called Sears again, was told the technician was still out on service calls, and was also told a message was being sent asking the technician to call to let us know when he would be arriving. No call and no technician. And, as if that wasn’t bad enough, today’s service (on Monday) was an emergency call back of service on Friday. On Friday, the technician was incredibly rude and discourteous to my husband and walked off the job saying he had better things to do. Our refrigerator, which was working at the time of the technician’s visit, but needed a repair, was left in an inoperable condition - we had to take our frozen foods to our neighbor’s and are using ice chests for our fresh foods. If you have a Kenmore appliance, A and E is the service company Sears uses for repairs - if you use anyone else, your warranty will be voided, so we’re trapped into using this terrible company. I know I won’t be buying any Kenmore appliances in the future!
Horrible service! We first called Sears about our 5 year old refrigerator that we bought from them (a Ken,ore Elite) over a month ago! Our 5 year old refrigerator completely stopped working. We waited 5 days for someone to be able to come out. Then, once they did, we had to wait another 2 weeks for them to come out and put the compressor in (even though it arrived at our house several days earlier). They out the compressor in, and then the refrigerator was still not cooling properly. We had to wait another week for someone to come out again. Then they said we needed a new freon thing, and that they would have to order it and they couldnt even give us a repair date. Even though we paid Sears (A&E) over $300 for the compressor work, and it still didnt fix the problem, they said we would have to pay for the new repair. And they couldnt even tell us when that would be. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Sears to just GET AN APPOINTMENT for this since the A&E REPAIRMAN COULD NOT!! After spending 2 hours, they said they would let us know. I just got an email that said they will be out in another 6 DAYS!!! This is the most horrible service on anything that I have ever received. I will NEVER shop at Sears again!!!!!
Awful! It took Sears repair 13 days to come see what the problem was even though I said I had a burning electrical smell when the oven was turned on. So the whole stove was unplugged and unusable. Of course a new circuit board needed to be ordered. Another 2 weeks before they could come to repair it even though the tech said it should be here in a couple of days. When I said that was unacceptable, he called his supervisor. That gentleman said to let him know when the part got here and he would get it scheduled sooner. This was after he found out we had been trying to get a lawn tractor fixed for 3 months. It took the part 1 week to get here and after calling the supervisor, he was able to get the repairman here the same day. The only bright spot in this story. The lack of repair people and the decline in Sears store quality has made us stop shopping there. Coincidentally the supervisor was also able to get the other repair person here the same day to finally repair the lawn tractor.
My washer repair was flawless once the new part arrived. Repairman was efficient and courteous. Job well done.
The service technicians are great. The problem with sears is their terrible system. Ive been waiting over a year for a transmission replacement. They have sent 6 transmissions to my house, the last one the only one that wasnt leaking oil in the box. Their expert technician on the phone said they could just add oil after installing transmission. I had to inform the expert that you cant add oil to a closed unit.Everybody always says theyre sorry for the inconvenience, the sincerity lacking at every turn. 6 transmissions! Did they fire the quality control guys? Customer service/satisfaction has taken a back seat .
Sears has replaced the Transmission in my lawn tractor 5 times. Out of those five times Ive had to miss work three times in order to meet the technician. So I have to say that the technicians do a great job are very friendly and professional. However, the equipment that Sears is selling nowadays is not worth the money youre paying. The fact that no ones contacted me from Sears to offer an apology or different product is reprehensible.
My experience was a good one but my experience with a&e home service was less than stellar. The day after the gentleman came and performed maintenance on the garage door opener, it stopped working. I called a&E and asked since the repairman was coming in a few days to do maintenance on a riding lawnmower can he look at the garage door opener we were told No! Of course I explained he was already here so giving me a date of 12/23/16 would only put my repair to be completed into the new New Year. We were then contacted by a&E that they moved our day up to the 16th. ......
The serviceman came on the same day and was very professional and polite. The fridge had froze up and we were told that he could replace a part that would prevent this from happening again. He put in the part and left. This did not fix the problem and when we tried to get another serviceman out it took over a week only to find out that the serviceman called in sick and that we would have to wait another 2 weeks to get it looked at. This is a joke. I cannot use my freezer because it will not get cold and it will be a month that it hasnt worked.
This place does not exist anymore
The technician charged me $300 for the service and it didnt fix the problem. The problem was something else, we had to call AGAIN and another technician came who CORRECTLY diagnosed the issue. Cheaper to buy a new one than fix the old one.
Daryl Reineke, tech ID 506733, was very professional and efficient. He provided us with quick service and we were very pleased with him.
The servicemen did a good job, they were polite and accommodating. However, the attempt at getting scheduled was a nightmare, hence the 3 stars. I was on the phone for nearly an hour, I was disconnected as I needed to talk to someone special for my Kenmore Elite appliance. I tried the chat feature online, which didnt work. I also attempted to schedule my appt online..didnt work. When I FINALLY talked to a human being and was told I would be transferred, I specifically asked if I could have that direct # in case I was disconnected...she said she couldnt give that out and not to worry, the call wouldnt be disconnected. Guess what? I was disconnected. It was disgraceful.
The service man did a fantastic job, was a real nice man and did his work quick and fixed the machine. Thats why I buy Sears products, you service what you sell. I have a contract with 8 or 9 appliances. Thank you for your service. I rate you the highest.
Sears overall service is outstanding! When we purchase appliances it will only be from Sears due to the great customer service and warranty plan on their appliance products.
It took a couple of weeks to get an appointment arranged since Sears had the wrong washing machine in their records for us. Service was excellent once we got a tech on site. He had to order a replacement circuit board which took about a week to recieve. The machine works very well now.
Service man was great! He get 5 stars +Took Sears forever to get him here for the repair
Called. Waited n hold for over 20 minutes. I finally got a live person just as my son was getting picked up for sports practice. I asked the service representative to please standby for 30 seconds, and they hung up. I didnt call back. So disappointed that a local number is listed, but when called it goes to a national call center.
Have had 4 visits by Sears, none of which resulted in a repaired Bosch microwave. Bosch approved a second opinion by another vendor. Parts have been ordered, and I believe it will be repaired soon. It has been over two months since Sears first came by.
I was able to get an earlier appointment upon request. Technician was professional, efficient, & friendly. Icemaker is working fine now.
I had a pleasant experience when Daryl came to repair my dryer...He was prompt..friendly...worked quickly and explained everything along the way..just to the point of informing NOT details that I wouldnt understand...I was very pleased I give it a 5 star rating!!
Very competent tech. Did good work. Everything works now.
Our service Tech was Ed. He did a good job, explained everything to me. Answered my questions that I had about our washer and dryer. The tech performed the annual inspection on both.
Our clothes washer quit in the middle of a rinse cycle and would not go on to spin. We were having remodeling done and the heavy electrical use caused an overload which blew the washing machine power. The button on the top of the lid had to be replaced and the machine re-set, but, the repairman did it to our satisfaction. We were more disappointed in the time it took to wait for the repair, over a week, and had to hand wring the clothes and let the water set that long. That part was a mess, not the repair itself.
Technician was friendly and did the job. However, it took over a month to repair the issue (more than a month of waiting for scheduling an appointment . . . the part was quick and easy) . .. this would be reason for OK Service. Sears Appliance Repair is about their process and time, not the consumer time.
Dejuan repaired our clothes washer to like new condition. He was prompt, courteous, and explained what part needed to be replaced. Dejuan had the part on hand so it was promptly repaired.
Had my washer and dryer serviced. Had to call 3 weeks later as the dryer drum was not spinning. Next tech came out, took dryer apart and to find out the first tech didnt inspect the dryer in the beginning. Wondering if he even touched the washer. Still waiting on the part for the dryer. We were told Thursday or Friday and its still not here!!
It was very expensive. Two little parts and one call to diagnose the problem, one to install them, $350.Great personnel .
Repair service person was thoughtful in call ahead and very complete. Exceptional work.
The technician did a great job! Very professional and efficient.
The tech arrived at appointed time, was pleasant and efficient. He gave me a couple pointers. Thank you.
Very pleasant and knowledgeable, arrived on time and did a very in depth inspection and maintenance.
The service was great but the timeliness could have been improved. The necessary part was shipped by April 19th. The first serviceman said he would be back April 24th and a time was scheduled so I could be home from work.April 24th came and went. I looked at the receipt to see that May 10th was the service date on the slip, not the verbal April 24th I heard.Randy the second repairman who did the service on May 10th was awesome. He let me know that if the part has been received to call Sears and see if the job can be completed earlier.
Super services!! Fast and to the point!!
My latest experience was not as positive as I had come to expect. It took too long for the type of product it is. Not being able to mow our lawn for over a month is embarrassing. Then there was no repair only a quick fix that lasted about ten minutes into the first attempt at mowing. Yes, they reschedule without a fuss but, again it is weeks off.
The servicemen are always good. Scheduling requires too long a wait for service.
Repair took over a month and a half to replace the carb on my weed whacker. I had to call several different times for an update with several different answers. finally when the repair was complete I was not even notified. I had to call again and found out it was waiting for me to pickup. Not very happy about any of this. I would have bought a carb online for 20.00 if I knew it would be this long.
Steve was the technician who completed the inspection on our kitchen range. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and offered helpful tips on all of our appliances.
We were very disappointed this time with the service. Took the blower in last fall---supposed to have it fixed in Dec--called in Dec and they needed to order a part---didnt hear from them again in 3 months so called again--couldnt find the blower. They called back and found the blower but no one had worked on it yet---on and on. FINALLY got it back after having been there for about 6 months---we have had service agreeements for years with our products with Sears and this was by far our worst experience.
We were very happy with the job done!
On time, a very professional and knowledgeable Service Repair man!
They are not doing repairs on most appliances very poor customer service.
I have now been 10 days without a fridge and tomorrow will be a week since they expedited the order for a part. American Home Sheild is a rip off and Sears doesnt care about customer service.
After 2 service calls a month apart my lawn tractor is still not working. To schedule is a nightmare. Today gas leaked all over and to request an appointment to have this repaired again was over a month before a technician could arrive. Apologies do not substitute for guaranteed service. Never again will I use or shop at Sears
Your service tech did a very good job. Thanks,Al
Very friendly and knowledge service tech!
Very knowledgeable and courteous service technicians!
Serviceman was knowledgeable and courteous.Getting someone to look at the freezer took a long time.
Very efficient and prompt service!
Terrible experience! The tech was suppose to be here with part and he didnt have it. He wal6in the house with boots on across our carpet sat in chair in kitchen said he did not have the right part. This part and repair is now 4 weeks late and counting ..what a mess bought the Master Warranty and now we get treated like this from Sears!!!
Repair completed by competent and courteous repairman.
If I ever need another repair, I will calling Sears Repair first.
