I got a great haircut here - number one thing I noticed was how convenient the parking situation was Im not even kidding I parked in a garage, walked three steps and I was there - were this not the pandemic they would have offered me free beer while I waited. I believe this because there was a fridge full of beer. The wait was only a few seconds, I sat down, had a good convo, stood back up, walked three steps back to my car, and the whole affair was complete for a more than reasonable fee what else can I say.

This is kind of a non-review because I didn’t get the chance to enjoy the services. I was in Raleigh for work and was in desperate need of a haircut on a Saturday. Tried calling multiple times in order to make an appointment but the phone was not answered. To be fair it was a Saturday and not much was open. I walked in and was told there were no appointments available and apparently the idea of walk-ins was foreign to the ladies that run the shop. I waited for a few minutes as stylist finished with cuts, swept the floor, and stood around for minutes “waiting” on there next appointments. The women repeatedly tried to dismiss me and I kept insisting I would wait. At some point a girl asked me if she could take my number and they would call me. Again, dismissing me. They wanted me out of there hair, pun intended. I got the not to subtle hint and walked across to the random barbershop across the street that had a “unsanitary” rating. I was helped immediately in and out within 30 minutes and my barber was wonderful and gave a wonderful cut and at a great price and I tipped him generously. I would have Loved to have written a glowing review about how amazing Arrow was, but my experience was very unsettling as I have NEVER been turned away from a barbershop. Perhaps schedule gaps or having reserve stylist would help. They made a big mistake, Big! HUGE!

Just moved to the area from DC and am super picky about who cuts my hair so I was nervous about finding a good barber. I walked past arrow and decided I would book an appointment and give them a shot. My appointment was with Topanga and she did a fantastic job. The quality of the cut was great, she made some good recommendations, and was very personable to talk to while I was there. All around a great experience and I will definitely be going back.

Finally found a barber I loved in Raleigh, professional, nice, great suggestions for my hair. The whole package, then you decide to move her from the shop she was working at to a new location 25 minutes out of the way and you expect me to now book appointments there and go out of my way,? HA! You have taken my customer experience of feeling comfortable and confident that I can book an appointment and be back to work in less than an hour. You have now changed everything to the point where my entire haircut experience will be spent mostly driving. I will have now spent more time driving to that location, than actually in the chair getting a haircut.Yea, you lost my business for good, making customers bend to your will? That’s not a smart business model. Just feel bad she has to suffer and lose money out of her pocket because you moved her away from her customers. Real smart. Maybe I can just text her and set something up outside of Arrow and pay her double for her trouble. Money isn’t the issue, it’s the principal.

9 months back I was visiting Raleigh and had some time to kill so decided to get a hair cut at Arrow, turned out to be perfect and ever since I make a trip every 4-6 weeks from Greenville, NC where I live to get a hair cut. Clean and professional. Leigh Anne is my favorite. Well done.

My cut was so clean and sharp and my shave was wonderful my barber made me feel happy to be in her chair. I was loving the product she put on my face it felt like I had a great facial thanks so much cant wait to do it again wish I could remember witch one they all are beautiful.

I finally had my first haircut in 5 months, and made an appointment online for early Sunday morning with Timmy. I was a little nervous as black hair can be hard to cut. The check in process was smooth, the checked my temperature. I was nervous about how the mask would work but Timmy took it off when he needed to cut, and it was very simple and easy.All in all I am very happy with the experience and will definitely be back for Timmy to give me a trim!

I took my son for his first haircut, which I dreaded, but Tapainga treated him and I with the upmost respect. She didnt push it on him and allowed me to hold him in the waiting area as she cut. He ended up laying on the floor where he felt comfortable and she continued to follow his lead while being as sweet and professional. The bus statio is outside, so it also helped keep his attention elsewhere. Thank you so much for making this experience an enjoyable memory as I have with my daughter at this same location. ❤

I had a fantastic experience. I recently moved to Raleigh and have to say that, even as a walk-in, I was dealt with quickly and politely. I left with the utmost satisfaction after having to leave my barber of 2+ years (the longest possible before my previous move). Sofia, in particular, was fantastic and I will no return to this location (presumably forever) and am making an account as we speak. I do recommend an appointment as I could tell I was lucky to be dealt with so quickly. To put things in perspective, I live above a salon and will choose to walk the 5 blocks in 95 degree Raleigh heat. Also, delicious beer.

Came in as a walk-in today. Tapainga was kind enough to squeeze me in. I got an excellent haircut and beard trim. This is my first time growing a beard. She explained everything she did in exact detail and gave me some tricks to keep it in shape between cuts. I will definitely be back! Thank you!

This place was awesome! I needed a cut really badly, and I showed up hoping to squeeze in. The receptionist told me that they were booked fully and that I could wait for a half hour to see if theres any no-shows. I decided to wait and the offered me FREE beer (yes, free) while I waited. 10 minutes later I was called up as someone got done early, and I was able to fit in before their 6:30 pm appointments. Overall it was a really solid experience and I would highly recommend :)

Always love getting my haircut here, people here really know their stuff and are super professional. Free beer with your cut is a great plus too. You can walk in for a cut but its pretty unlikely that youll get in the chair that way, its consistently busy. Id strongly recommend making an appointment using their site.

I was referred here by a friend as Im new to the area. I am extraordinarily particular about my hair. Mick is my barber and nails it every single time. My hair and beard always look A1 when I leave. He takes the time to ask you what you want and figure it out if you dont know yourself. He is a great conversationalist and extremely personable. The work from the other barbers I see is good as well. Free beer while you wait is always a plus. I enjoy my experience every time I come, I will continue to be a bi weekly customer until I go bald.

Hard to beat for the price! Dont expect the care and style of a salon, but you will get a damn good modern haircut with prompt service. Make sure to make an appointment a few days ahead as they get booked up fairly consistently. They accept walk ins but you are not guaranteed to be served

Arrow was recommended through a friend and I am not disappointed in the slightest. The online appointments are super convenient and easy. Free beer is a nice touch, although not necessary it makes waiting more enjoyable. The vibe and music is to my tastes and the staff is friendly and experienced. I cut my hair short so it isnt too difficult but all the times I have gone I leave extremely satisfied with the level of quality. Tapainga is by far the best barber! I came in as a walk-in and she took amazing care of me and gave me the cleanest fade I’ve ever had. I found out she does book up fast and walkins are not a guaranteed cut. I cannot praise her enough for the wonderful experience!!!

They always do a great job cutting my husbands hair. The location is super convenient if you live downtown. They give you beer while you wait, even if you arent the one getting your hair cut. You can also bring a record if you feel so inclined and they will play it for you. Sometimes they have some cool local swag for sale.

Finally found a barber shop I can trust in Raleigh. The atmosphere is always energetic and the staff is very welcoming. Annie is my go-to, very personable and friendly. Would recommend making an appointment as they get incredibly busy. Decently priced, and cold beer included. Cant go wrong here.

Made an appointment online which was super easy and convenient. Showed up 15 minutes early. Was offered a beer immediately when I walked I. (Cant ask for more than that!!) Haircut started on time. Mick was professional and a good conversationalist. Haircut wa surest and efficient. Prices are incredibly reasonable. Place had a good vibe. Everyone was in a good mood and all the barbers seemed to know everyone who walked in the door. Will definitely be returning to this location from now on.

Great location & great atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you are warmly welcomed by the staff and offered a beer. Every employee is very friendly and they have music playing (Not too loud, not a distraction). This was my first trip to Arrow and Kris was fantastic. She took the time to discuss options and make sure I was happy with the cut I was getting. I will surely be back for my next cut.Note to management - If youre going to offer straight razor cleanup, look into having a hot towel service, please. The haircut was great, but the straight razor cleanup felt rushed.

Arrow is the place to go for haircuts. The staff is always very friendly and its a very clean shop. You can make reservations online and even choose your stylist. Parking a little tough but its not their fault. If you can find a spot in the garage, its a short walk down the street. I have yet to have a bad cut so if you need one, definitely check them out.

So, one wonders in todays world that customer loyalty is rewarded but people here are oblivious to the concept and may be living under a rock. The stipulated timings that they put for the appointments is a word on rock as far as their time goes but the umpteen times that you have to wait there not for 5 or 10 minutes but more than half an hour goes unnoticed to the arrogance they carry around there.Highly unprofessional behavior from staff both in person and over phone.

I just had my first haircut in Raleigh (from Sabrina) since moving from Nashville a few months ago.For an INTJ with a bit of social anxiety, one of the worst parts about moving to a new city is the process of finding new places for common routines.As soon as I walked into Arrow, I felt welcomed. Sabrina immediately greeted me with a smile, shook my hand, and directed me towards her chair.She did a phenomenal job, and Ill definitely be back.

Worst customer service ever....Called and said walk in was fine, arrived and sat for over 1.5 hours and two chairs were open for more than 30 minutes one belonging to the girl that signed me in. Appears to be fine if you have an appointment but they wasted my time. Free beer was a plus but never got a hair cut. Make an appointment or dont show up and do not take their word for it....extremely unprofessional

This place has the best stylist! I was a walk in and had to wait, however I am very picky and saw 3 perfectly done cuts! Sarah Cane actually fixed my cut that another barber somewhere else messed up. I have found a home!

I get that some customers might nitpick a barbers work and you might go over your time. I also had to be somewhere and didnt have much time to sit around but 30 minutes is just too much.

Had my hair cut here exclusively for 2 years now. Negative 1 star because my favorite barbers keep leaving. They seem to have a hard time holding on to talent.

All barbers doesnt represent the shop. However, almost all the staff here were friendly and polite. Barber i had was patient and understood everything i asked for. Haircut came out great, Im a client for life. So why not 5 stars...? Well the bathroom itself needs a fixer upper, AC can be helpful, if they serve beer, at least serve good beer. Front desk gal can be friendlier or atleast greet a person or crack a smile.

New to the area and heard the place was great but was unaware that they prefer appointments. Walked in and was offered a free beer which was nice and informed by a staff member that they did accept walk-ins. Got a brief rundown on their policies and was told that their appointments come first but if a client was over 10 minutes late that they would still cut my hair. So I sat down and enjoyed the beer and waited patiently....for over an hour. For 45 minutes of that time not a single customer walked in and none of the staff offered to put me in a chair. I sat patiently as they walked around making jokes amongst each other and played on their phones. Even though I was new and told them I was looking for a barber shop that was halfway decent they neglected to even acknowledge my presence. The shop is small but really nice and has four chairs, three of which were empty for over 45 minutes. In that time any one of the three staff members that were free could have cut my hair and I would have gladly paid and tipped for the service despite having to wait. I ended up wasting over an hour of my time and got the impression that they did not care that I was a potential new customer. I left when one of the appointments came in and all three of the free employees jumped to serve him even though I was sitting there forever. I likely will not go back despite the nice atmosphere of the place. There is no doubt I would have received a good haircut, if Id been acknowledged. The free beer is nice but its going to take more than that for me to forget how poor of an experience this was overall. Sitting there I got the feeling that they were just waiting for me to leave the whole time. Dont waste your time like I did if you dont have an appointment. Because they could care less how long you sit there

I decided to give it a try after I saw the good reviews but to my disappointment, I had a very bad experience here and I would never go back again. The lady that cut my hair didnt really know how to cut my hair. I wont recommend this place at all.

Kris cut my hair and did a wonderful job. She also trimmed my beard like a champ, and I dont normally let ANYONE touch my beard.

This was my first time here.Great service, friendly people, its like a old school barber shop. Zero wait the haircut took about 10-20 minutes, easy in and out with a sharp cut.Natalie cut my hair and I definetly recommend her. You can tell she knows what she is doing. She has a lot of tattoos and cool blue hair.i will definetly be coming back for a long time.

I always get a good haircut here, also they give you beer. The atmosphere is a little hipsterish, but the stylists are really good and Im always happy with my haircut. Also there are discounts for students monday and tuesday, and military and spouses everyday.
