Great response from Progressive Plumbing today. I called them because we did not have hot water. They set up an appointment for today. Damien showed up early. He reviewed our situation with me then checked our system. What a great guy, friendly, knowledgeable and more than willing to explain what he was doing.During his checking out why we didn’t have hot water he discovered that our pressure relief valve was corroded and in need of replacement. He determined that our hot water tank was working properly but our recirculating pump was not functioning properly. During his time with us he explained the options for how to repair or replace our hot water heater. He made a number of phone calls to his office to help diagnose our problem.Progressive plumbing will be scheduling a return appointment to fix the recirculating pump but in the meantime we have hot water, and a new pressure relief valve.Really a great first time experience with Progressive Plumbing. I will be recommending them to my friends.

Daymon arrived at our home at 8:15 pm on a Sunday evening. He was very thorough and professional in searching and testing for a faucet leak. Patrick was very professional, thorough and helpful. He did a great job and went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything he was doing and we were set up with everything we needed. There were no hidden fees or surprises with Patrick and he represented the Progressive company very well. I feel comfortable referring my friends and family to Progressive because if Patrick is the kind of person they hire it shows they truly do care about their customers.

I have no complaint with the work done. The person was quick, friendly, and did the job well. However, I have a problem with the pricing. They had bought out the solar company I used for my solar-assisted water heater. I assumed the pricing would be reasonable. It was twice what I expected for removing an air bubble from the line. The company told me when I questioned the bill that they told what it would cost up front. This was either disingenuous ( a lie) or an oversight by the person I spoke to. If it cost as much as they charged, I would not have used them as the solar assisted heater would not save that much money in a year.

James and Kevin were fantastic. They took the time to explain everything and James went above and beyond in discussions with the insurance company. His 20+ years of experience shows and he was great about sharing that knowledge and helping the customer out where he could. If all their services are this good then I’ll be using them more often.

Yeah I called and told the lady Meredith exactly what I needed. When Noah showed up he didnt come up with any tools and looked at what I had. He then told me it would be a 5 to 6 hour job. And he was going to cap the pipes off since it was already 9pm. Then I said what was the point of even coming if you werent gonna get my shower running. Then he said it would be 750 to do the job. Well I paid 138$ to get him to cap off two pipes and he was here a total of 20 mins. Well then had the Bossman call me of the department and pretty much fed me with excuses as well. Long story short I got it fixed with another company for 200 and it included parts and labor. And it only took 42 mins. I timed it with my watch from start to finish. Would recommend calling around before I went with progressive. Waste of time and money to be honest. 1 out of 10 in my eyes. Will never use again and I would recommend someone else any day

James and Kevin found and fixed a small leak we had in our shower today and were amazing! They were so professional and kind and took the time to explain to us what was happening and how they were fixing the leak. We had a great experience from start to finish with Progressive and plan to use them in the future for all our plumbing needs!

We are installing a new sink in our house. Progressive Plumbing, Marcus and Timothy, were polite and professional. Kind of difficult to review this experience. It started by a very condescending receptionist moving to a “senior” plumber which came and treated to double the price of a previously quoted job; leaving it half done under the promise to continue “next Monday” coincidentally he requested days off couple days beginning of the week; I said coincidentally because he mentioned more than couple times how hard that concrete slab was to break and leaving behind a bag of trash on my babies playground made of synthetic grass. The following week around midweek a different plumber came and finished the job in a professional way. So; not sure how to review them since it’s 50% poor delivery and 50%good. There is no pattern just 2 extreme different experiences.

Marcus was quick, efficient and very knowledgeable. He showed me the processes when I inquired and even expressed concern over other issues with my bath tub that he saw. Marcus was very personable and I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Marcus!

(Dishwasher Installation)I typically do not write negative reviews, but this experience left an impression on me. We have been in bad need of a dishwasher for months. It finally arrived and then when Progressive Service (contracted by Home Depot in WF) came to my home for the installation, they were there less than 5 minutes before telling me the new dishwasher wouldn’t fit. I insisted that the measurements were less than that of the unit already installed, but the installer was unwilling to consider it. What bothered me so much is that not once did they measure the dishwasher. Nor did they even confirm the model, they glanced at it for 10 seconds from the side. Once he heard that it was a Whirlpool unit, his mind was made up. I believe they didn’t want to deal with the installation and rather than making sure the customer (me) understood the specifics and was satisfied with the reasoning - they just simply said ‘they know it won’t fit’ and ‘they’ve done hundreds’. After I told them I guess I had no choice but to cancel the install they left quickly and rudely did not acknowledge my wife and son on their way out that said hi. This was also very upsetting. It was very unprofessional. I was then left in an awful predicament.I luckily found a another installer later that day that came out the following afternoon and performed the work that Progressive said was ‘impossible’ within 92 minutes with no complaints. I will never use Progressive nor order appliances through Home Depot again due to the poor customer experience.

Needed to have my sewer pumped. First time using Progressive Service and if their other services are done like today I will stay with them. The guys went above and beyond and it was very much appreciated. The price was very reasonable.

Fissured water pipe was located in lobby of house after cutting thru dry wall in 3 areas.Pipe was replaced. Satisfied with work done, but found the cost very excessive, at $1800 for a 3 hours operation that included time to pick up replacement part.I authorized the work, so it is my fault, but I cant equate that cost to any plumbing work I ever done in my house, ( dry wall repair will have to be added to that cost)Pressure of having family visiting and not being able to use water made me overlook all recommendation on how to select a plumbing company, but I trusted Progressive, so pretty disappointed. I was incredibly impressed with the timeliness, professionalism, and consideration shown by Progressive. I had my A/C system replaced, which was on its last leg but still functional.After a rather unfortunate experience with another company, lets call them Seven and Repair, I called Progressive and I spoke with a representative on the phone who was helpful and polite. Someone was scheduled to assess my system the following business day. Darryl arrived promptly and was appropriately communicative throughout the assessment. He collected the necessary information about my systems and emailed me two detailed proposals a few hours later, and he addressed any of my follow-up questions quickly and thoroughly. Most importantly, I never felt pressured to make a decision; Darryl gave me the info and then gave me the time to think it over. When I was ready, he got me on the schedule for a few days later. Mitch and John were the installation technicians. They were very respectful of my property, worked quickly, and they cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done. After, I could not tell anyone had been there, aside, of course, from my shiny and quiet new A/C system, and one that can actually heat and cool my home efficiently.

Workmanship was excellent. Professionalism was nonexistent. Trash from another job left in the yard, and when contacting management, there was nothing they could do but let it sit int the front yard overnight, and acted like it happened all the time. Mistakes happen, but most companies take ownership and want to correct them. It this one.

Progressive plumbing is an Unethical and incompetent company. Buyer beware. I had them in to find a leak. They misdiagnosed the cause of the leak. Charged over $1,000 for the repair, but the leak continued eventually causing more than $10K worth of damage. Progressive has refused to refund the fee they charged me. After consultation with an attorney, it would cost more in legal fees to recoup the cost and Progressive knows this. Do yourself a favor. Stay away.

Winston-Salem. This is a good company. Had 3 toilets installed from Home Depot purchase. Team was prompt, professional and very polite. They did a great job.

Marcus was calm and professional, explained everything, and I wasconfident about the repairs. It was a holiday weekend. I also called a couple of other “emergency repair plumbers” who did not even call me back.

The team we had showed up late, sauntered through their work, lacked work ethic, ghosted us the one day which wasted our entire day as we waited for them to come during their appointment time, didnt call to let us know they would be delayed, and upon completion and payment we later found they didnt connect the washer drain line so it would have flooded had we not noticed. I would not recommend this team of technicians to even someone I didnt like!;) (I will not disclose their names on this public post, if Progressive contacts me to directly and asks for our team of technicians names then I will tell them. If I were Progressive, I would want to know how I was being represented by my employees.)

Routine HVAC Tune-Up. The technician, Patrick, was extremely thorough and helpful, explaining the tests ran on the refrigerant and why 1 Pound needed to be added. He also attached several photos to our email invoice to make it much easier in future appointments to make sure all levels are in the correct range. Highly recommend and will use again.

I had my water heater replaced in Dec. 2019 by this company. They charged a great deal of money to do it on a weekend ($3000) and 15 months later the pilot light would not stay lit. The install of this new expensive water heater had water lines that the technician did not properly insulate, did not insulate the back up tank at the top, the exhaust pipe was not at slanted up like it is supposed to be, and I did not have the correct length of pipe coming out that is supposed to be only a few inches off the ground. I called them to come fix the pilot light in March 2021. They charged me about $250 for labor and the only thing the plumber did was replace a thermal couple lead. This new lead did NOT fix the problem. The plumber guessed that it was the controller and did not have this part. I had to call RUDD (water heater manufacturer) to order the part which was going to take 2-4 days to arrive. I was then going to have to pay another ~ $300 if not more, for labor to install this new controller a few days later and take time off of work. There was not a guarantee this controller was the issue and would fix the pilot light problem. Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY for water heater work. They install water heaters they do not carry parts for and although it is under warranty they will charge you out the wazoo for labor changing things that may not even fix the problem. I found out using another company to fix my water heater, which I actually ended up replacing, that RUDD water heaters are known for gas valve issues. The plumber / technician from Progressive did not mention one thing about a gas valve issue. He also had no diagnostic tool to determine if in fact what he replaced and then suggested replacing would correct the problem. I say again DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Electrician did an excellent job replacing a bathroom fan that was 40+ years old with one of a different size. Not an easy job but done successfully.

He quickly installed our new garbage disposal, made sure we understood how to use and reset. This is the second time I have used Progressive, and I am pleased with the service. My only complaint this time was the lateness of the rep. The arrival time given was between 1-3pm. I got a a text at 3:08pm stating the rep was in route to my home, but didnt show up until after 5pm. I will not let one bad experience turn me away from Progressive. I will be calling them again for service when necessary.

Rivers was very courteous, and completed the work in a timely manner. He explained what was wrong, and fixed it. Although this was a small job today, I was treated with the same courtesy as when we needed a lot more help during an emergency. Thank you.

Dont know what happened tonight. Ive always used Progressive for most of our maintenance needs. Tonight, however, we had an emergency at one of our units where sewage and water was coming out of every drain and called at 2 AM. I called back 40 minutes later to get an update, the lady said the other lady her neighbor was on the phone with the technician and would call you right back in just a few minutes. I then called back 15 minutes later to follow up and the lady on the line (a different one) said she couldnt give me any updates besides that shed send a message out in hopes to have someone get back with me.Finally, I called back to cancel the servicer at 3:25 AM as it had already been 1.5 hrs of waiting in a Is-someone-coming-or-not? state.Then, as of 4:15 AM, 2 hours and 15 minutes after my call a technician called me to set up a time to come out and look at the property and hadnt been informed I cancelled at 3:20.Very disappointed as Ive used and referred them often. Hopefully its a one-time problem but definitely will make me think twice about calling them next time, especially in an urgent situation.

I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance for the installation of a new water heater from Home Depot. I received a call that they were on their way to install the unit, but the scheduled time was incorrect. I received another call about 3 hours after the scheduled time that they were going to have to reschedule the install. I took time off work to be available and they arrive late. I told them if the unit was not going to be installed on the scheduled date to return it back to Home Depot. When they arrived the installer asked to get paid before they started the installation. I was told by the company to pay when the installation was completed. When I paid by check and credit card he asked me why wasnt I going to pay the entire bill with my credit card? Because its my money and I pay however I want to pay for the service. I dont think I will use this company to install any other products.

I am the maintenance director at an assisted living with 18 buildings to maintain. We use Progressive on a regular basis and would highly recommend them. They are very responsive and their technicians are professional, competent, and personable.

The team was requested to assess an improper wall oven installation & come up with a plan to remedy the situation. They worked quickly to find the problem, came up with a few options to resolve the situation, settled on one & implemented it promptly.

I actually didnt contact with Progressive. This was part of a Home Depot flooring project and Home Depot contracted with them. But when I had to reach someone about a change in the project, it was a nightmare to get ahold of the right person. I would get transferred, put on hold for long periods of time, then disconnected. I would NEVER do business directly with this company. Beware.

The repair person clearly explained the problem and what needed to be done to repair the electrical system and the cost prior to repair... The job was well done and effective ...... I was happy to get someone that provided immediate response.

Needed to have faucet in kitchen replaced as well as the hot water valve replace. The tech told me that due to the top shelf under the sink he was not able to reach in to remove old faucet. He told me to contact a handyman to have the shelf remove and he would return, then charged me $70:00 for coming out to tell me to tear out a shelf under my sink. I called another company and not only was he able to replace the faucet and the valve, he replaced some of the piping that was no longer good. The tech from Progressive even got under the sink and did not mention that I may need to replace some of the pipes, only tear up the shelving. Will never contact this business again!

I had an appointment yesterday for a quotation for water heater replacement. Called the phone number in the text message twice to confirm the appointment. The lady confirmed the appointment with the tech. Twice. My appointment window was from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. No one from Progressive Plumbing arrived. No follow up phone call. No follow up text. Nothing. Extremely unprofessional and very disappointed Home Depot associates with this company. Progressive Plumbing reflects poorly on Home Depot. Avoid this company.

We had a septic disaster last year and called Progressive (they were the only folks who would come out on a holiday weekend, which was great). They pumped our septic and then scheduled a follow up to have someone come out to give us a quote on fixing the system. We got the quote, felt it was reasonable given our own research, and took out a loan to cover the costs. Turns out, just the electrical portion used up 90% of the money we were told it would take to repair the entire system.So now we are left with a busted system, in the same position as we were before we shelled out thousands of dollars trying to figure out how we are going to get the money to actually fix this.I wish we had never encountered Progressive in the first place.

Progressive Service Company installed our new gas range and they did an excellent job. Emily was prompt in contacting me to schedule a time and they were very flexible. The morning of the install I was contacted by the install team and they informed me that they were going to inspect the new range at Lowes and would call me if there were any issues. There were no issues. They installed the new range and took away the old one. They also turned on the new range to burn off factory oils and then gave us a tip to not cook our favorite meals until after we had backed some bread to absorb the remaining residue and not give our meals a strange taste. A great tip that I would not have thought of.

We went through Costco to attempt to purchase a Lennox system for an HVAC replacement ($7-12K). Costco referred us to Progressive. At the beginning, they responded to our emails and the salesman came out and gave me a quote which he revised a few times for us. However, once we started to ask more questions, he simply stopped responding. We were trying to negotiate the best possible price and determine which system was within our budget. We were told by other companies that they were extremely high priced. We were getting a rebate back from Costco and it seemed like Progressive simply raised their prices since we were getting a rebate through Costco. The salesman never responded to our last phone calls or emails. We were ready to purchase and had financing approved through a lender that worked with them. We simply had more questions to help us make a decision. We ended up going with another company and transferred the financing because they simply stopped responding. Very unprofessional and they missed a sale.

We had Progressive install a new kitchen sink, disposal, and faucet in our home. Our plumber, Michael P., was polite, professional, and very knowledgeable. I cannot recommend Michael enough -- he was extremely kind and answered all our questions about our installation as well as offered advice about the disposal we had purchased. Thanks again, Michael!

I have used progressive for both plumbing and HVAC. everyone was professional and you can be sure they are skilled. However, not everyone is vaccinated and the company does not require. Nor did they seem i te rested in this when I called. II will not let un-Vaxed ppl inside, So I could not continue with the HVAC service and found service where all are vaccinated.

I had also called them for an electrical issue I had, and Danny F. looked beyond the obvious and found the cause of the problem and fixed it on the spot. I did not have the necessary equipment to complete the installation of the faucet and these young men left and came back after my mother went to the store and purchased the equipment needed to finish the job. Progressive sent a nice and professional gentleman to my house to repair a leaking gas water heater that I though would have to be replaced. Upon inspection he found the problem and repaired it.The price was reasonable around 350.00 dollars. To replace this water heater he said would have been about 2500.00 dollars. Poor communication. Make sure you check with them when booking your appointment what day they ACTUALLY PLAN to do an installation. Home Depot set me up with this plumbing company to replace a hot water heater that went out in my home. My appointment was made for two days later on a Tuesday and when the technicians came to my home they quoted me a completely different price and said that an installation wouldn’t be till the FOLLOWING WEEK. Completely different from what I was told on the phone. Who goes a whole week with no hot water in a house? I was handed a magnet with their phone number and they swiftly left my home within 10 mins. I called progressive back and after explaining to them that this was not acceptable they did agree to come the following day but I would have to get the heater from Home Depot myself so they could do the installation because they were able to “fit me in.” At that point I lined up another local plumber who was local to my area and WAY cheaper than what progressive quoted me. Home Depot says on their website and in the store same day installation if before noon not 7 days later like progressive wanted me to do. If your getting something installed through Home Depot partnered with progressive service company make sure they actually are going to install what you need.

(Jacksonville, Florida) I called late yesterday afternoon to see if someone could come fix a toilet with a deep clog. They answered after hours, clearly explained the process and fees. Chad arrived promptly between 8-8:30am and afternoon thoroughly explaining the steps to resolve the issue, he finally found a toy ketchup bottle deep in the pipes. If you have to have someone tell you your kid flushed a toy, I would recommend it be progressive service co. We will absolutely be using this company on the future... but not for flushed toys.

Progressive Service Co sent a plumber out to fix my backed up plumbing line right away on a Saturday. John Mayo was knowledgeable, skilled and very professional. He did a great job diagnosing the problem. So glad I called them!

Friendly service. I was in another room when CJ said leak was fixed and he ran the water and all was good. He left and I then checked for myself and ran the water and there was still a leak. Luckily I caught him before he drove away and he came back in and fixed the leak. Checked myself before he left again. Not sure Ill call this company again. Was expensive for 15 minutes of work.

I made an appointment and signed a contract w Progressive Service Company, Raleigh, NC, 2 weeks prior to yesterday for them to come disconnect/reconnect a kitchen sink so the ripout of a sink/countertop and a template could be made today to facillitate the cutting and install of a granite counter top and stainless steel sink, and faucet assembly. They gave me a window to arrive for today from 8am to 1pm. They phoned me at 12:45pm yesterday and left a phone message that, their plumber had an emergency to deal with, and needed to, cancel the appointment. Progressive disrupted my plans for this plumbing disconnect with a last minute message about their problem. They had no contingency plan. No other plumber was available (as big a company as Progressive is). They did not honor their part of their own contract? COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE AND DISRUPTIVE!!! I will never use or refer them to anyone. I finally gathered the impression they didnt want to hear the complaint when I called them back after receiving their 12:45pm cancelletion. Dysfunctional bunch... AArrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Kevin was absolutely amazing to work with. He was professional, polite, and very helpful in making sure that we get the best possible outcome with the installation of our dishwasher. I would highly recommend Kevin and his company to anyone who needs this type of work done in their home.
