Overall, quite pleased with responsiveness, knowledgeable tech, quality of repair and overall customer service. A step above all the others in the area. However, there are only a couple of points a new customer should know that they dont necessarily explain. One, they require a full service on your system prior to performing any repair. This is to protect them from unforeseen problems after they leave, which is understandable. But, the cost is quite high and will add a significant amount to what you thought would be a basic repair bill. Two, their list price for any repair is about the same, no matter what it is. A small repair costs as much as a larger repair. So, dont expect there to be much of a price difference. This is fairly typical in the industry, but not necessarily fair to the customer. And, I have provided this same feedback to their company as well. As an engineer with over 35 years in this industry, I know what repairs should cost. And, I believe in passing along savings to customers in order to build stronger relationships and ensure future business. Overall, I was very pleased with 6&Fix and believe they currently have good staff in place for all aspects of their business. They will be quite successful if they remain so. I would recommend them, just know your cost may be higher than expected for smaller repairs.
Called Nick S from 6 & fix at 9am with an ac unit that wasn’t blowing cold air. He was able to get a technician out pretty quick. Jason our technician was professional, respectful, told us what the issue was and how he can fix it. Very reasonable for what needed to be done. Now we have cold air blowing and the unit has never worked this effectively before. Hands down my go to company for heating and cooling and would recommend to anyone! Great company, exceptional customer service and trustworthy results.
Our AC went out in 95 degree heat. I called at 5:15pm asking for same day service due to health issues in our home and unable to stay in the heat for any period of time. They gave me a 6-10pm window. Our tech arrived around 8:30pm. He was kind and very professional. By 10:30pm he had diagnosed the problem and replaced the part! The bill was also very affordable! We were so thankful to be able to go to bed at a decent hour with a decent temperature in our home! Thank you Jacob and 6 and Fix!
Be aware rip off. 2016 My unit was overpriced. 10,000. 3yrs later they claim my fluid was low. How does your fluid run low on a brand new unit?..thats not even five yrs old . Now 1100 had to pay!!! Please buyer be aware
We switched to them when our previous HVAC company proved to be absolutely awful. Im pleased to say that 6&Fix has been the exact opposite. Theyre professional, competent, and clear. Theyre prompt and communicative. When they cant fix something immediately they explain why, provide a clear time estimate, and stick to it. Theyre not the cheapest out there but our experience has been absolutely phenomenal. They have done crawlspace sealing, vent and duct replacement and sealing, HVAC installation - pretty much everything end to end that we might need. Every technician theyve sent out has been exceptional. I highly recommend their services, especially if what you need is fixing some other companys complete and unmitigated disaster (like we needed).
Originally I left a review too soon.. so I deleted it to write this review..By the time they arrived it was around 85 degrees inside. They came and diagnosed a leak in my system and told me it would work until they came back to fix the next week. But this visit had a separate bill from when they were supposed to come back. I was charged a significant amount for what they did that day and long story short the AC system never blew any cold air and I had to have someone else come behind them. It has been 5 days and management will not call me back about refunding my money.This company does not practice good business practices. I recommend you use someone else. They wont even refund you when they screw up.

I used 6&Fix for new install of heat pump/AC. The process was seamless with fair prices and fast service. They are always friendly. I also used them this week for warranty work (manufacturer defect in a circuit board). They arrived within hours of my call. Parts needed to be ordered and I received a courtesy call letting me know when theyd arrive. Then I was blown away. They noted upcoming low temps and offered to have someone deliver two space heaters to borrow while my unit is down. I recommend them to anyone.
Horrible business practices coming from management. Corporations like this dont care about normal people. They just want your money so make sure the repair is truly a repair before paying them. They wont return a call after you ask for a refund.There are numerous better HVAC companies to use.
Jay C got my system up and running so that I could sleep at night. He gave me a detailedreport, with lots of explanation and answers to my questions. That included photos (eek!). Upshot: This was a temporary fix until I could make up my mind about options for a permanent fix. No pressure to make decisions. Just a cool house!Follow-up: New HVAC system installed. Mine was a difficult install because of the prior system, but the crews worked diligently until it was all up and running.Working with 6 & Fix is a breeze. Everyone you deal with is focused on getting any issues fixed, and making sure everything is working like it should. I am very happy and pleased that 6 & Fix is my HVAC company.

6&Fix solved a problem in just one visit that no other HVAC service could solve over the past 4 years. They worked until 10:15 pm on Friday holiday evening to solve the problem. When the technician left, our AC was working beautifully again.
I was shocked to find mold in my vents/ducts. I call 6&Fix and they rushed out and took care of that mess. They had special tools to clean and sanitize all of my ducts. they even got that dryer vent thingy cleaned out. the best part was the anti-microbial spray they put in the ducts/vents. I feel so much better and am breathing easier after calling the indoor air quality experts at 6&Fix!!!

Ive had them out here 5 times in a week, $2,000 later my AC is still not fixed. Not one call from the service manager or anyone next level to find out whats wrong. Obviously my problem is the fact that the first 3 techs never identified the problem, and now after last night there are more issues? I’m sure you can appreciate and understand how frustrating this is as a customer to have to take 3 tries (now 4) to identify the problem and then finding out again that there may be more issues? I gladly spent the 2K on the repair because I want my AC fixed. This issue is not about money it’s about competence. You guys have been very responsive and your techs are actually quite personable but my AC still isn’t fixed. I would have liked to have been warned about the $379 cleaning fee that I was charged after it was performed already. I had to pay for the cleaning after it was already performed rather than being asked if I want a cleaning performed, given permission to the technician, then only after given permission, perform the cleaning. Apparently this is a standard cleaning that is required by technicians by the company to perform. On the phone I was told there was only a $95 diagnostic fee, however this sounds like I should have been told there was both a $95 diagnostic fee AND a $379 cleaning fee since Im a new customer.Other than that though it was good quality work and I was given pictures of before and after repairs to prove that they needed to be done. I appreciated this because I wasnt able to watch the technician as they worked so I had no way of knowing if I was being charged for unnecessary work.So, 3/5 stars. 2 star removed due to the issue above since I have a feeling that I wasnt told about the cleaning fee on purpose to trick me. I dont like feeling like Ive been tricked. Overall Im happy with the physical labor that was performed as well as the technicians courtesy. He was a great guy and was only doing what he was paid to do. So 5 stars to the technician!UPDATE:6 & Fix called me back and told me that it is NOT their company policy to perform services before consulting with the customer and that this situation should not have happened. They really valued my business as a customer and refunded the cleaning that I felt tricked about. I have a lot of respect for this company now!
Technician and Sales person were amazing. Both observed COVID safety throughout entire process. I was able to get a tech same day and ended up needing a new unit which was installed the NEXT morning!! Most important part is I am an essential worker so I had to work. Crew had full access to my home with no problem at all and even watched for my dog when going in and out!! This company definitely went above and beyond!!!! Scenario: AC failed during a run of dangerous 100+ heat factor days in July in NC, and have pets wearing permanent fur coats. In other words, while I might have been able to wait 2 days for another service tech, I went ahead and chose the same-day emergency service from 6 & Fix.That said, the tech was on time in the window provided, very polite, knowledgeable, and remarkably good attitude given the heat he was working in both inside and outside. He did a thorough diagnostic and got me up & running in a limping capacity....at which time I was given the choice whether to have them do the full fix or not. The cost for the full capacitor replacement and cleaning was extremely high -- about 25% more than if I could have waited and shopped around. However -- back to my scenario -- I knew this going in. Overall, if you are in an emergency situation and understand that you are going to pay a premium for that...then definitely recommended!!

I rarely write reviews of local service companies, as they usually leave a lot to be desired. These guys are terrific. Responsive, on top of it, just easy to work with and honest. (Gave me a quote for a repair, then called back and said they figured out a better way to do it at 1/2 the cost.) We have the annual maintenance plan which is well worth it. I would say like most local service companies, there is no online scheduling and contracts are PDFd back and forth. They do alert you on technician arrivals by text (no spam) and give you a vehicle tracker to see where they are.Used several different folks, just use them, youll be happy you did.
The communication leading up to the arrival of the tech was awesome from a call when there was one hour left in my time window to a link to track the tech when he was on his way. He was super professional and very nice, did a great job and maintained all proper social distancing. I will definitely call them again.
A service call was scheduled within a few hours of my call. Once it was determined I needed a new system, another individual came to my house the same day. The installation was scheduled two days later. Some things had to be addressed later. This was done in a professional manner. I am pleased.
We contacted 6 and Fix after having our AC breakdown in the middle of July with a week old newborn. Their technician came within an hour or so, was very inclusive in his diagnosis and explained it to me, and worked professionally with us to give us both short term and long term options, considering our unit is around 20 years old and approaching obsolescence. He got us up and running within a couple hours, and the project management team was very timely and professional the next day in assessing the system for a full replacement. Not the “cheapest” option in the world - but in the middle of July in North Carolina they kept my family cool. Would use again.
I called at 4 am when I woke up cause it was near 80 in my home. The answering person picked up, very friendly, took down my info and said someone would call at 8. Someone called at 8 gave me the window from 10-2. I got a notification that the tech was in route around 930. Tech showed up, very friendly, jumped right to work inspecting the whole system. After about a little over an hour he went to his truck for about 35 minutes to write up his report.He comes back in and says he wants to sit down and discuss. He walked me through my system letting me know the ins and outs of my system and any upcoming issue I need to watch for. He goes through all the details, this guy is legit. After about 20 minutes we finally get to the critical issues and get it lined out. Got a quote on a new system cause Im sure its coming. Overall great experience.
Great service! We had them out to fix a gas leak, and they were great at communicating and scheduling with us. They had to order a special part, but they rush ordered it and had our gas fixed asap. They stand by their work, and though they couldnt fully test their repair since the gas was turned off, they sent someone out promptly the same day we called when we smelled gas again, and fixed it at no additional charge.All the service techs have been polite and knowledgeable, and the people on the phone have also been great. I like that you can easily track your service tech as they are on their way, so you know when they will show up.
6andFix came out and took a look at our standalone HVAC system as soon as we noticed there was a problem. They were on time, very professional and really appreciated their customer service!!Jenna and Emily were able to schedule for us, the problem was diagnosed, parts ordered, and installed, all in a timely manner! We will definitely be using them for future maintenance and repairs.
Weve used 6 and Fix for the installation of our two heat pumps and also for HVAC maintenance/repair. Initially, they massively screwed up the installation of one heat pump, but really made up for it by (1) eventually getting it right and offering a discount on that install and (2) doing a great job on the second installation and the subsequent maintenance/repair work. Despite the initial error (which seems like an anomaly based on the rest of their work), they seem genuinely interested in customer satisfaction and the quality of their work. In particular, one of their sales reps, Kyle Brunelle, and the sales manager, Greg Hughes, are awesome to work with and true professionals in case you cross paths with them.

This is during COVID19 times. Scheduled dryer vent cleaning service and ensured that technicians will wear face masks. Received an automatic reminder email just before an appointment that we need to follow face mask/social distancing guidelines from the company. Was happy to follow that. Technicians arrived - not wearing any face masks. On further questioning apparently they did not have any face masks (or was not provided one). Had to cancel the appointment. So much for following their own policies. Waste of everyones time.
They created a gas leak when installing my new unit that lasted 28 days in my home and were nice enough to come back to attempt to fix multiple times. It was finally fixed after nearly a month of nausia and panic. I had to have the fire department come out and they told me to evacuate because the gas levels were so high. I would NEVER do recommend them. The manager didnt mind one bit that his company created such a fiasco for a single mom of three and that I was out almost 7,000 dollars.

Extremely timely return of my after hours call. Technician was at my house at 8am the next morning, completed a thorough diagnostics of an AC problem I had been having that 2 other AC companies did not diagnose and fix. These folks were fantastic. We lost A/C when our backyard was struck by lightning and a repair technician was able to see us for a diagnostic visit only hours after being called. After that, a very friendly sales technician named Greg sat with us and thoroughly, patiently explained our options -- even the ones that involved less money being spent! It was over EIGHTY DEGREES at our kitchen table, but Greg never made us feel as though he were in a hurry to leave.We took a few moments alone to think it all over, and then told Greg that wed be choosing his primary recommendation. He worked us into the repair schedule as early as possible, and in the meantime, let us borrow THREE portable A/C units to help us make it through the heat.When they came to replace our system, they were prompt, polite, and professional. They kept to their promises regarding cleanliness and completion deadlines. Also, the units that they brought us are beautiful! (At least as far as HVAC equipment goes ;-)The people at 6 & Fix are truly dedicated to exceptional customer service. They go above and beyond to live up to that standard. I was a loyal customer of Green Country HVAC for years with great service. Green Country was bought or merged or changed names and became 6 and Fix a few years ago. I continued using them with immediate differences to service, from trouble scheduling maintenance to the more serious issues I mention below. My real problems started last summer when a 6 and Fix technician came to perform semi-yearly maintenance. He spent hours at the house (longer than any other maintenance) and told me before he left that I needed some capacitors (one on each of my 4 units). I was emailed a service plan with cost to replace them. I then had to call multiple times to get scheduled for the work. Each time I was told they would get back to me to schedule it, but would never return my call. When I finally got the service scheduled and the technician showed up, he told me his work order was for only 2 of the 4 capacitors and he didnt have the other 2 in his van, so I would have to schedule another time (very frustrating). I resolved then to change companies for my next maintenance and have that company replace the capacitors. Fast forward a year, my A/C goes out and I call another HVAC company to investigate. I was told that the capacitor that was last placed had been wired incorrectly, causing the fan to be incorrectly torqued and metal shavings to fill the unit and eventually kill the fan. I then spent over $500 fixing the issue. I emailed 6 and Fix asking for a refund due to the issue. After a week or two the President (Nick Scarnecchia) responded to my request and said he would send a check and asked to speak on the phone. We set up a day and time for him to call me. I waited for the call that never came. He called later in the day and left a message for me to call him back any time that afternoon. When I returned his call he didnt answer. I have sent him two more emails trying to reschedule and again requesting the check to be sent, since I never received it. He has not responded now in almost a month. I am beyond disappointed in this company. I dont see any concern for their customers, from difficulty in communication and scheduling, to outright poor workmanship and finally lack of responsibility and accountability at the highest level. Companies are a reflection of their leadership and the culture created by them. It is clear what Mr. Scarnecchia has created.

The 2 contractors were very politeness and friendly. They came in, covered the floors so they wouldnt leave a mess and then right to work. Had the most professional and comprehensive assessment and repair of the HVAC in the office I have ever experienced in my seventy years. The technician, Mr Bowen, was very capable, well trained, followed a logical problem solving process, collaborated with other technical resources and documented every step of the process with notes of the results and pictures. Before he left the site, he presented findings, his conclusions and exactly what he did to correct the problem. I highly recommend this company for future HVAC service.
TLDR; 6&Fix is one of the best companies, regardless of industry, I have ever had the pleasure to work with. They epitomize quality and customer care.I have worked w 6&Fix for over 3 years. Our first experience, we had a 3 month old and our AC gave out in July. The company we first worked w was unresponsive and non-committal to a solution. We called 6&Fix because we heard them on the radio. They were out there that night, diagnosed the problem (in the dark outside) and had a temporary solution in place so our daughter could sleep in relative comfort. We worked w Nick, the owner, who gave us a roadmap for what we should expect out of our 3rd rate system that the builders put in to make a quick buck. His analysis came true, and while we had issues each summer, his team was quick to help us out and at a reasonable price, all while keeping our home comfortable for our growing family. Last summer, we made the choice to replace our entire system. There were some issues with the process, and some frustration. Once we got everything back up and running, I spoke w Nick about the process. Not only did he make things right w what we originally expected, but he gave us a size-able discount. More importantly to me, he gave me the time of day. I have personally worked w him on service calls and spoken with him on the phone. He put one of their best, Alex, on our case, who got immediate results w fixing some of the issues we were having w the new unit. All the while, he was taking time out of his day to make sure my family and I were taken care of. This kind of care and quality is sorely lacking in our day and age, and it is so comforting to know that 6&Fix is around and local to help in times of need. I recently bought a home and replaced both the HVAC and Hot Water Heater. They did an excellent job installing and now Managing routine maintenance appointments.Recently there was an issue with my unit and the team acted fast and corrected the unit and gave me a full report surrounding the diagnostic.
I was given two estimates for a repair. The minimum estimate to get my system working was $1947 including tax. It was $579 to clean the coils, $911 to replace the fan motor, and $321 for up to 2 pounds of refrigerant. The full estimate to repair was $6519 with tax. It included the coil cleaning, fan motor, $549 to replace the drain pan, $3647 to replace the evaporator coil, $125 for a safety switch, and $252 for the contactor. I had coil cleaner in my garage, bought the motor from Grainger for $130 including tax and installed it myself. That got my system working again. Then I paid another company to come out and check the refrigerant and was told it is not low. I cant recommend that anyone call this company, the costs from them for a repair were ridiculous.
This team did a 5 star performance for our new HVAC install. Our old system failed on a Monday, they inspected it Tuesday, gave me fair fix and replace estimates and they installed the new system on Thursday. The on-site team of Jeremy, James and Brandon were fantastic. Greg did a great job explaining the new system quote with alternatives and had super post install follow up. The field supervisor came by and worked with the team, everything was done professionally and on-time at a competitive price.
Just had HVAC installed by 6 & Fix Heating and Cooling. We are so impressed by this company, Greg and his team. The crawl space has been transformed and I am no longer terrified to venture into that once creepy place. All of the old dated equipment was removed and everything was replaced. They put the air handler in the crawl space instead of the garage where the old one was. Makes sense! The team always left our home looking better at the end of the day. They always informed me when they were going to lunch or what time they expected to be back the next day. They were always responsible. Most importantly, we are comfortable. Our master bedroom used to be stuffy and hot. Now it’s comfortable and cool. It’s supposed to be chilly tonight, we anticipate being comfortable and cozy. We are very pleased with 6 & Fix. Thank you!

Today has been a long day, but man was it productive. Jason and Brandon were coming to install our new unit.Being without air conditioning for 1 solid week, I was pissed, irritated, just OVER the heat.These boys were so polite as I asked to be present during the install. Yes, we joked. But mainly I heard from a man that loves his family, especially his three daughters, to another that seems like hes on a very long path with 6 and fix as a company. Great customer service and speedy!! Our AC went out on a Monday morning in the heat of July. Another company said it would be 2 days before they could come. 6 and fix came that afternoon and thought they fixed the problem. Turns out, the AC went out again the following Sunday right before my son’s First birthday party with 25 people coming over! 6 and fix came out that Sunday afternoon and fixed the problem promptly! Very impressed and will recommend them to anyone!

We had problems with a new system, had people that installed it come out to repair it and they just made it worse. 4 days later, 90+ degrees out and could get no one to come out.6 & Fix came out same day, just an hour after we called and had us up and running. Very grateful to them for their quick response time and amazing service!!!!
Could not have been any better of an experience. Extremely knowledgeable company with the whole insurance process. They took their time out of their day to be the main point of contact with my insurance company so I didn’t have to. Greg was on top of it in the entire time to help get my house cooled ASAP. From Riley in service, to Greg in sales, to the install team, not one negative thing to say. Highly recommend their services.
Ben was very nice. He explained everything to us and fixed our frozen heater pipe outside in the freezing cold in a quickly manner. I definitely will be using them again and will be requesting that Ben come back to our house

Not transparent about charges and labor. Asked for itemized bill and was told that’s not how they do their invoices. There is no way of knowing how much we were charged for the part and how much was for labor leading us to believe that we were overcharged for the part and the labor. Technician was at our home replacing part for about 30 mins and was charged almost $740 (with an apparent discount). Wouldn’t trust a company who didn’t explain how they come up with pricing.
Great company! Was having issues with my AC and thermostat. They came out same day and got everything back up and running. Prompt, knowledgeable, and super professional. Highly recommend!

6 & Fix came out to my house today in the snow after I woke up and realized that I did not have heat. Service was very quick and the technician took the time to explain to me the issues. Being a first time home owner, I appreciate the explanations and advice on how to better take care of my house.
They were very attentive, we had a problem getting parts which wasn’t their fault! When we were stranded for days without heat during the snowstorm they were nice enough to provide space heaters. We went a week without heat, but only one day without hearing from them, so we were never left guessing. Tommy and the team were friendly and knowledgeable, as well as helpful and caring.
I am so pleased with the service that 6and fix offers. They are super thorough in explaining the issues, they are able to offer bigger rebates in the products they install because they follow all the guidelines requested by the manufacturers and send them picture proof after the install. Always knowledgeable, always friendly and I am so glad I called them 😊
Turned out to not have an issue but reached out via text through the website at 7:30PM and had response within a minute! Pretty solid first experience with great customer service on a Friday night. Will reach out again if I have an actual issue!

A service tech showed up for a plumbing emergency on a holiday weekend in less than 1 hour and was professional and did excellent work. We could not be happier.
I hate to leave negative reviews, but a “heads up” is in order regarding 6 and Fix HVAC out of Durham for old fashion deceptive business practices. I purchased a new gas pack from this outfit in November 2018, primarily on the perceived strength of the warranty: 10 year parts and labor. It’s a Coleman unit (which I also can’t recommend given that I’ve had a major failure
We installed a new system several months ago and are really happy with it and the warranty and maintenance. We just had our maintenance service check up and we are really impressed with the technician who came out and went over every detail with us. We struggled for years with HVAC maintenance and repairs and are so happy we have now gone with 6 & Fix!
Wonderful, incredibly professional company. My heat went out in the midst of a cold snap and it turned out I needed to get my heater replaced. I’m hard of hearing and one of the company’s I had come to give me a quote to replace my heater refused to provide service for me due to my hearing loss and said no to taking the job because of an inability to talk to me. They provided no literature, nothing, just wanted to verbally explain the heater replacement and for me to tell them which replacement I wanted. Fortunately about 20 minutes later six and fix showed up (on time and as scheduled) to give me an estimate and when I mentioned I was hard of hearing the technician immediately made sure to speak in an elevated time and enunciate. He arrived with visuals and literature to describe the work that needed to be done. He frequently checked in with me to make sure he was speaking clear so I could hear him, asked if I’m understanding him and also checked in to see if I have any questions. They were flexible enough to communicate via text instead of exclusively relying relying on telephone communications. They even left me with a space heater so I could have heat in my home until they were scheduled to come in and replace the heater. I’ve dealt with a lot of service professionals and this technician was definitely one of the best I’ve interacted with and incredibly professional. I would highly recommend six and fix to everyone and I’m very happy that I now have a ‘go-to’ company for heating and air to call that I know I can rely on.

We needed a company to come assess our problem urgently and were offered several available times someone could come out although it was a holiday weekend. We were pleased by that and the assessment was thorough.
Lol at these guys, what a bunch of clowns. My AC wasnt cooling the house and was also leaking. They told me they would be there between 12 and 6, you know, an entire work day that I took off and didnt leave my house for... showed up at 6:20. Then they charged me 100 dollars for a diagnostic. After 15 minutes they hit me with a few pictures and an appointment for a salesman to come out and set me up to have a new 4300 dollar unit installed because mine was outdated and busted beyond repair. They threw a bunch of industry words at me I didnt understand. Called a mom and pop shop to come give a second opinion and they told me it just needed to be cleaned ( the coil) and serviced where the previous owners neglected it for so long. My house was a few degrees cooler before the other guys technician had his tools back in the truck. What a bunch of crooks.
I had to have my HVAC system including ductwork replaced recently in an older home. Quite the challenge. Thankfully Greg and his team with 6 & Fix were there to take on the challenge. They did an amazing job. They were there when promised and finished within their proposed schedule. Answered all my questions as we moved forward and left my home clean every day. I would highly recommend this company for any of your HVAC needs. Great job.
Gave me a great price on a new system, provided temporary air conditioning-greatly needed in July 2015-and a payment plan I could live with. I signed onto their yearly well check contract and they come to fine tune and check my system regularly. They are knowledgeable courteous and always wear little booties when they come inside.
I am selling my house and my buyers contacted this company to do an inspection on my HVAC. Per that inspection the gas to my home was shut off because of a hole that was found in the HVAC unit. I was told by Jenna that other issues were also found but because the buyers had not yet paid for the inspection those items could not be disclosed yet. At that time I asked for a quote to get the issues fixed. I was told that it would cost more to fix and I should replace it.I arranged to have someone here for the install on Thursday of last week. I noticed that the invoice had included a smart thermostat from Honeywell but I already have a smart thermostat from NEST. When I asked to have that taken off it was handled. I was however questioning why that even happened in the first place since it was obvious that I didnt need one nor did I ask for one. I also noticed the aroma of gas in my home after the HVAC install. On Saturday it had not gone away and I was feeling light headed. I called the company and was told someone would be here between 2 and 6. The tech showed up closer to 6:30 and was here for almost two hours. He was able to fix one gas leak and said someone else would have to come back tomorrow to fix the rest. The next day a different tech came out and was here for over three hours fixing gas leaks. He left around 2:00 approx. and said that all was fixed. I was feeling light headed still and my kids were also so we left the house. At 8 pm we retuned to the house and noticed a heavy gas smell again. None of the detectors that the company installed in my walls gave any alerts. My neighbor brought over her gas/CM detector and it read a reading of 232 GAS. We were all alarmed and terrified to say the least. We left the house immediately and I called the fire department. They cut of the gas and found another leak. We were not able to stay in the home so we evacuated for the night. The fire department told me that I should look into a different HVAC company since this work has been such a safety issue.Today I took off work so that Dominion could come to check and also to have the 6 and Fix company back out. Dominion said all is well from the meter to the street and that I needed to check with HVAC company. 6 and Fix sent someone out at 10 am and he fixed the leak. He was gone by 12:30 ish. I am now waiting to be sure the smell of gas does not return.Everyone I have spoken to at the company has been extremely nice and Im thankful for that, minus some mansplaining from John where he made the analogy of taking a car to a mechanic and said HVAC is similar...other things can happen and its not their fault. I am very displeased with the quality of living my kids and I have had since this company came to my address. I had no prior issues with gas in my home. I also now understand that not all of the issues that 6 and Fix found in the buyers inspection (apparently there was something with the upstairs unit- but not gas related) were addressed and not fixed even though I had inquired wanting it all fixed.I have paid close to $7,000 for this service. I was quoted over $1000 less from others but chose this company because it was my buyers realtor was good friends with the owner of this company. My kids and I were displaced, I have taken time off of work and we have been breathing in gas for days. As you know, gas is a dangerous and scary thing to have to deal with. I am a single mom of three and my anxiety level has been through the roof since through all this. The safety of my kids and my home is my top priority.Apparently John said the owner would contact me but he never did.Bottom line, this is a shady company who I can not recommend. I feel there was tampering that occurred in either their inspection and/or the install. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
We came home from work to a house with no heat on the first floor, dropping just below 60 degrees. Called and left a message for the emergency line and within minutes got a call back saying they could have someone out within the hour. The tech was right on time, very friendly and knowledgeable. Was able to find and fix the problem fast, and got our heat back on within about 20 minutes. Couldnt be happier with the service, theyve earned a customer for life!!
Our family has used 6 & Fix for over 8 years. This company has not only provided our maintenance but has also advised us in creating multiple zones. Eventually, they helped us select a new system. When that new system was struck by lightning, top management became involved and supported us through the whole claim process. They stand behind their work. We have never felt abandoned. Over time, they have helped us cut our electric bill in half. Every room in our home is consistently comfortable. Nothing is more important than knowing your system will work, and there is a guarantee to support their service.
They were very efficient and thorough. I called them at 3:30pm and they had a great technician here by 5 pm. I highly recommend them!
Recently lost my heat on a very cold evening. We called 6 & Fix around 9:30, ON A SATURDAY, and they were there by 12 noon. How crazy is that? Wed already had another company out with an outrageous price quote and as it turned out, an incorrect diagnosis of the problem. Our great technician, Travis, quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem and fixed it for $500 less than the previous company. Cant recommend 6 & Fix enough and ask for Travis, he was polite and honest. Great job by 6 & Fix!
6 and fix were able to come out to my house the same day I called them and within 24 hours they had identified the issues and fixed my hot water heater and replaced my HVAC. They were very communicative and have a great 10 year parts and labor warranty. I was very happy with their service.

This company recently put new ducts in for us.So when our thermostatdecided ALL we needed was heat All the time we knew who to call.Max was awesome.He was thorough,took pictures of all of our future problems,explained it and checked everything top to bottom..He upselled a new unit but wasnt obnoxious about it.Max should be your trainer for future employees..He is a great ambassador for your company.
