I have been living here for about 3 months now. The managers are very friendly and helpful during the move in process! Neighbors are friendly. Apartments are a good size. We live on the top floor and have awesome vaulted ceilings that really brighten and open up the space. Pros for it being a pet friendly community, as it is hard to find rentals that accept pets. I love that our parking stall is covered, but wish there was guest parking available. The gym is small but sufficient for me. The pool is enjoyed by many of the residents. Our apartment had some damage upon move in, nothing out if the ordinary for a rental unit. The traffic noise is constant and it has had a big impact on my sleep. Some days our neighbors downstairs are watching tv very loud well past midnight or their kids are screaming sometimes until 3am, something we can hear through our walls/floors. If you are a light sleeper or have a hard time getting to sleep when noises are present, I probably wouldn’t recommend this complex. The biggest issue I have is that my neighbors smoke in their unit and on their balcony, meaning my apartment always smells like secondhand smoke and I am concerned for the health of myself and my pets. I cant even open the windows when it gets dreadfully hot because even more smoke will waft in. In the future, I will look for a smoke free complex.

Ive been here for 2 years and was thinking of renewing my lease just out of convenience, but the truth is the place is built in a gully by a sewer right next to the highway. Not only does the place stink of weed all of the time but also of sewage. Traffic noise is constant and the entire place is surrounded by cottonwood trees. I normally dont complain but these guys just try to nickle and dime people out of money and dont do very much for it. Ive never met any of the people who have written reviews about this place and Ive lived here 2 years. There are no events, unless you consider the mail and food trucks an event, and a lot of the food trucks cancel. Madison, the manager, can care less if people stay or not. She just draws a check for facilitating traffic. I have the emails to show it, and video to show just how fast mold grows down here in Soggy Bottom. I give the place 5 stars so people will get the chance to read an honest review.“I can’t answer the question about whether or not you should stay, that is your choice. I am here to help you with your renewal if you need it or if you need to put in a notice to vacate in.”—Madison Jaquez, Leasing Agent at Bridge Property Management

I moved to chestnut hills apartments in August, and so far, I am loving my stay here. For moving into an apartment unseen, I was a bit nervous, but the apartment was clean and updated. The staff are so attentive and easy to get in touch with, if I have any problems. They get back to you within 10 min of sending an email. It’s crazy! Madison, primarily, has been a huge help while living here. She has really changed the way I view leasing staff! So thank you Madison! The leasing office also throws super cute events for their residents including a pasta night dinner, hot chocolate night and a few others. They even individually delivered some of these items to my apartment when I was unable to attend in person. Wow! Love living here, and would highly recommend.

I have absolutely enjoyed my time here at Chesnut Hills. Madison and Amberlynn have done an AMAZING job. Two of the best people to be running a place like this. Attentive, caring and always on top of your concerns. Shout out to the maintenance staff as well for the constant keep up of the grounds and being very timely with fixes and concerns around the apartment. Highly recommend this place if youre looking. Ive lived here for several months and have been really happy with the experience. The property is well maintained and everything is kept orderly. There have been no issues with any neighbors. I have found everyone I have dealt with to be unusually polite, friendly, and accommodating. Any concern or question is taken seriously and gets a quick response. The management knows me by name and and which apartment Im in. They are always very friendly and accommodating. I have found Leslie to be especially helpful and really great at handling any need that might arise. I cant think of anything I could complain about.

Moving out tomorrow after a one year stay in their 3 bedroom. I travel full time, so primary reason to rent a larger apartment was for my last kid that was still living with me (very young adult), for her to gain a credit history and help her till she could get her very first place. We wanted the extra room for guests and when my other children came to visit. And we moved from a large home in the country in Orting after my divorce and I sold my home to downsize. All our needs were met, we had a good year here. Mostly quiet and well behaved children and pets reside here. The highway traffic never bothered me on my side. Nice people (those whom I met) My favorites were Haley (now promoted and working with a sister complex) whom took most my calls and was always pleasant. Now Kayla seems to have answered all my questions preparing for my move. She is off to a great start with CH. My other long time favorite is our lead maintenance man! Always quick to respond and took care of everything 2 single girls needed. Im terrible at filling out online forms, so he came anyways when I called. The few times I got to enjoy some pool time this summer....made me wish I could stay and do that some more! I should have spent more time in their recreational facilities when I was home from my trips. Anyways...hope the good service continues for all others. Was a great experience for my daughter and myself. Last one out of the nest, now time for me to live on the road full time as I have been working towards!~Maureen Peltier*from a very nice upgraded N202 3 bedroom!

If I could give more than 5 stars I totally would! We just began our leasing process a few days ago and already today we are signing move-in documents. The process could not have been any quicker or any easier. Amberlynn helped us the whole way through and was absolutely AMAZING. She kept in touch with us via email and phone every single day of our process. We are out of state and moving in a few weeks, so we were really nervous about not seeing the unit or the area. But Amberlynn and her team were so awesome that I have no doubts it will be the perfect fit. Cant wait to be there! Thank you Amberlynn!!!

Leslie was friendly, straightforward, and very accommodating when asked questions. Our circumstances changed, and we didnt ended up leasing with Chestnut Hills. The carpet was not new when I moved in. I lived there 8 years and even though I asked, the carpet was never replaced. A roof leak in 2012 caused mold to grow and maintenance would wipe off the mold and paint over it. I’m still not certain we haven’t experienced health effects. Maintenance was ineffective because they would rationalize old appliance failures. (Appliances were 30 years old) The property managers rented two bedroom apartments to a family of 6 (4 children and two adults). Management refused a final walk through because they want to renovate the unit. And even though I left the place clean and ready for Reno, I’m certain management will find a way to retain my deposit to offset renovation costs even after 8 years of rent payments.

We really enjoy the community here. The staff is incredible. Leslie and Madison are always quick to greet you, by name, anytime they see you! I really appreciate that. Theyre also quick to respond to any needs, concerns or requests. Another thing I really appreciate. They also strive to create a very inclusive community, which is great. Before covid they hosted monthly gatherings at the community room and during lockdown they invited food trucks out for our community, it was awesome. They really care about their tenants and that really makes it nice. Our little one has made some great friendships here. We really like our apartment as well. Were bottom unit and dont hear our neighbors more than youd anticipate in an apartment. All of our neighbors are great. Ed and Kim are the maintenance team and theyre awesome. Always quick to take care of maintenance requests and are super friendly. They really take great care of the community. The location is convenient! We were able to walk to the fair last year and we used to always walk down to the park and library, which I loved! The train station is less than 1 1/2 miles, Bradley lake is only 1 mile away as well.

We look forward to utilizing the amenities when they become open again. UPDATE: we complained about the marijuana smell and now its worse than ever. We smell it in our apartment now when initially we only smelled it outside and nothing has been done about it. We are getting woken up at 3am every morning by our neighbors dog running laps through the apartment and the neighbor themselves dropping heavy items on the floor.Just moved in less than two weeks ago and we already regret it. They dont inform you of hidden fees. They claimed to give money off of our move-in fee for touring and signing so quickly and then turn around and tell us we owe $300+ more because we moved in 5 days earlier than expected. The best of all is even though the lease agreement says their first step is to notify in person, we open our front door to see they have shoved the notice in our door with ZERO attempt to contact either occupant, NOT OKAY. There is a horrible marijuana smell throughout our building even though, again, it specifically states in the lease agreement smoking and drug use of any kind is illegal in the apartments. The floors and walls are paper thin so you will hear EVERYTHING. People around you coughing, watching tv, using the washer/dryer. It is AWFUL. We have broken drawers and a light switch that doesnt work plus spider issues galore. Not worth the price of rent in any way, shape, or form. Not even a month in and we cant wait to be out.

Lived here for almost 4 years. The staff may be courteous, but when it comes down to it they will treat you like dollars in an account and that is all. Be careful on move-out, they will nickel and dime you on everything! Paid over $40,000 in rent over nearly four years and yet they will come after you for a fee to paint the apartment ($250+)...thats called basic apartment maintenance. They are part of a corporation, so when they tell people to drop in their office or we will see what we can do in the review responses below, all they do is run it up to their corporate, who does nothing, and then tell you were sorry, corporate has reviewed and we cant... blah blah blah. Read the contract you sign, they have multiple ways to screw tenants and they are not at all flexible when it comes to early move out, or any other normal items. The maintenance staff is rude and acts like you the tenants are the problem...no, we pay your wages, have some courtesy and respect. The apartments are outdated (early 90s). If you live in the west side apartments it is LOUD with 512 right outside your window (semis coming down the hill with exhaust brakes all night). Highly recommend steering clear of this place! Also - I dont want to be contacted by anyone from Chestnut Hills about this review, you lost your opportunity to win someone back when I called to discuss my $2000+ final bill, and they called my wife back to discuss it, not me (and didnt do anything to rectify)...shady.

Then, their manager, Paige Jaeger, will cover for them by insisting the poorly trained office staff would never do that. Her less than ethical behavior is disturbing in person who is supposed to be a manager. This has happened to more than just me. I’ve had great experiences there since 2010 when I moved to Washington, Tovah, would call me everyday to see how my trip was going, that’s what sold me on this place, Kimberly always had answers to our questions. And now I feel like when I call the staff has an attitude like they don’t want to be there. I loved that place in 2010 and when I moved back in 2016. Now I just want to find another place and leave. Also I wish the office was open until at least 7. Some people don’t get home on time to pick up their packages especially now during Christmas. Minor issues. So it turns out to be all about the money, I made a mistake and and thought I had put the whole payment in the Drop box, come to find out the following day that one of the money orders had fallen between the seats of the car and I called to let them know, and rudely they replied, “sorry but if you don’t have the payment in before we close we will charge you 100$ penalty, in two years I have lived here I have not missed a payment... time to pack up and go.

Not exactly impressed by staff. I didnt even get the chance to actually meet the management team or look at an apartment. My daughter and I came in looking for the rental people. There was an old man sitting on the couch and was extremely short with us. He asked what did we want and I snapped back saying that Im looking to rent an apartment, is that ok with you?. Still he was short and said the no one in the leasing office was available and that she walked over to the Hamptons and would be back. I asked him if he was management and he snapped back and claimed he was the main management. I was too upset to even try to look around. The next day I called and no one answered so I dropped by to complain about the man. Again no one was there and two women that lived there asked if I wanted to look at an apartment. So I said yes and one of them handed me a brochure and explained a few things about the property. Kinda sad that the residents have to do that. I ripped up the brochure and walked out. No point in trying to rent there it seems rather pointless. Spend your money elsewhere.

Then they went to a debt collector to contact us when they had our emails and phone numbers the entire time. Just a very bad experience.
