He is incredibly knowledgeable and will not just try to sell you something if he doesn’t believe whole heartedly that it will improve your skin and give you more confidence. I’ve had several treatments, his peels are incredible and I most recently had plasma fibroblast on my upper lids and I’m blown away by the results!

After reading excellent reviews, I decided to book with Harley despite him being more than 90 minutes from my home.I enquired about booking and the response was short but to the point. It felt like the tone was off but I chalked it up to text.The morning of my appointment, I got a text from Harley saying he’d lost his wallet and needed to reschedule. I had already driven over an hour because I live near Astoria and the text was sent 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. He did not offer dates to reschedule, nor would he arrange the day to fit me in.When I asked for a refund, he made a point to mention my appointment “was just a consultation” as if that made me less of a customer and said he had apologized, as if that buys back my 90 minutes of drive time or the morning now wasted. Originally, I booked a full appointment, but Hartley cancelled it and told me I needed a consultation first. He asked me to provide the transaction information for my refund and time I booked my appointment because he didnt want to look it up.I’m sure his work is great, but I’ll never know because his customer service is non existent.*Edited to add his response to my review.

I am now fully healed from my peel with Harley True and I am so blow away by the results!! Way better than I ever dreamed of. Not only is almost 100% of my crazy hyperpigmentation gone, but my skin is so much smoother and some of my fine lines have disappeared. I would (and already have) recommend this to anyone, and besides the results- Harley is kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I am convinced Harley True is not just an esthetician, but rather a clear skin wizard! My experience with Harley was beyond what I had imagined!! He is so personable, professional, and knowledgable. I decided to visit Harley during my vacation in Portland. My plans were to spend the first 3 days exploring around town and the remaining 4 days venturing out by car into nature. I booked my appointment 3 days in advance and received the confirmation email (with all Harleys rules & charges for no shows, cancellations, etc). The day I land I receive a phone call from Harley at 4pm while Im standing in the airport trying to orient myself. Breaking his own cancellation policy of 24 hrs notice, he tells me hes unavailable at my confirmed appt time and has some evening options for Thur & Fri. I told him I had just landed and was disoriented, could he email me those options for me to confirm later? (he conducts his sketchy business by phone only, as not to leave a clean paper trail) Without any apology or empathy he agrees to text me. The latest time he offers is 4pm - late afternoon, not evening. Since I would be out exploring on those days I needed an evening time. I text him that these times wont work, no reply. I go to cancel my appt on his website but cannot cancel since he still has me booked for the original time, which is now less than 24 hrs away. (his cancellation policy that he broke with me the day prior) I state in my email that the times wont work as they arent evening, as he had originally stated on the phone, please cancel. He claims he was unaware, stating, I just sent you some times that should work (although Id just stated that they didnt) Completely ignoring my request. 3 emails later of me asking to cancel, Im having trouble replying, my email is not going through. I was standing in the same spot all along. Emails were going through to others. Hed blocked my address. So I emailed from my 2nd address, with no reply. After 3 cancellation requests he texts me with evening times available and is acting as if the email convo never occurred. He is completely unprofessional with many tricks up his sleeve. I had a skin consultation and facial with Harley about a week ago for my persistent acne. He went into GREAT detail about what might be causing my acne and discussed options with me. He addressed my concerns and made recommendations for switching up my skin care routine. Just a week later my skin is already looking better. Harley has been helping me through my skin journey for years now and I cannot recommend him enough. If you’re struggling with acne, scars, redness, etc., he’ll give you honest advice and treatment recommendations that work. I originally wandered into Harley’s clinic helpless on how to deal with my acne and I’m now in a place where I love my skin and no longer feel the need to wear foundation (never thought I’d be here). Now that my acne’s under control and I’ve less scarring, I still visit for routine microderms to keep things fresh :) Harley is always kind and professional and I’m always thrilled with the results after every visit.

Harley did an AMAZING job explaining the different options available to help resolve my current poor skin condition. Very professional and extremely patient with me.Other dermatologist and esthaticians I have seen in the past did not help me to feel as taken care of. Just by looking at my skin and talking with me, Harley was able to make suggestions and give me products that have helped me tremendously. For the first time in years my skin is manageable...and the products he uses are AMAZING. Ive had problem skin my entire teenage/adult life and Ive looked high and low, read every article, and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on washes, lotions, and serums trying to combat my issues. On my first visit, he gave me kind, helpful advice and sent me home with tons of samples to figure out what would work best...I saw him a few days later to buy some full size bottles and now go to him for recommendations and help with my skin. This stuff seriously works, and Harley is kind, helpful, and knowledgable. Highly recommend.

Harley is the best. I have been to so many different dermatologist, doctors, herbalists, nutritionists, you name it, I went. I suffer with sensitive skin and a combo of acne and yeast like pimples. I had no redness or irritation and everything is looking great with my peel I got from Harley. If I take certain medications or do certain treatments for acne it can be harmful for the yeast but not Harley’s treatments. He’s one of a kind. It’s been a wild journey finding out what works for my skin. Recently I got a flare up, And of course went to a dermatologist and herbalist. Three months later very little progress. I researched esthetician’s in Portland and Harley’s yelp came up. I was so happy. The first visit was welcoming. He has a passion and so much knowledge on skin. He has a kindred sprit because he genuinely wants to make my skin and everyone’s skin look beautiful. He truly cares. You see it in your first consultation. I did a food intolerance test too with Harley, not one nutritionist or doctor has ever recommended this to me. I have done allergic tests but those are different and never show what I actually need to avoid. and I got a facial and a VI peel. Thats another thing, I have melanated skin, and Harley has worked and has knowledge on my skin too. What a major plus especially living in the PNW- so happy to find someone that works on brown skin. I get hyperpigmentation so easily. I am healing now from my facial and peel. But just one day I see a huge difference. I don’t have any more pimples !! Yeah! He got every pimple with the extraction process. Like WOW. Thats dedication. I cant rev enough, how smart, kind, funny and most of all professional Harley True is.

Harley True is heaven sent. I did a lot of research with many Esthetician businesses in Portland. Harley is the most affordable, the easiest to talk to and has Lots of options for looking your best. I had 2 micro needling sessions and I recommend it for more youthful looking skin. I like the package he has, buy 3, get 1 free. Plus he does a consultation with you. I felt so comfortable and the office is super clean and warm. I am really glad I found him.

After the enzyme facial and facial peel I had with him, he knows exactly what is good for my type of skin (dry, sensitive, prone to redness) both the services have really boosted my self confidence and gotten rid of the patchiness and textured areas that were my biggest insecurities. Hes professional, sweet, and loves what he does. He also has never ending patience for all my questions. He really caters to all skin types by offering diverse services and I really appreciate that. I honestly dont think Ill go anywhere else!

I had a consultation. I was given samples of Image brand skin care. The products have a very strong perfume smell. The esthetician acted like these products are miracle & trying to push to buy these. After using these products for 3 days my skin has gotten a lot worse. I have bumps on my forehead, they don’t look like normal breakouts (more like an allergic reaction to “miracle products”). I didn’t get any useful information or products suggestions to make my skin better. Yet I spent $50 for him to promote some brand they carry and make money by selling it. The esthetician was not caring nor helpful.Update : the unprofessional response from this person says it all. I was not expecting “free service”. I was willing to purchase all the products & get treatment. I find this behavior not acceptable & passive aggressive. Good luck with your business. Also I’m glad I’m not working with you. Don’t be fooled by all good reviews on here. The way this person responds is unprofessional, and uneducated. Otherwise you he should start off by saying “sorry for your experience”... also he doesn’t have the experience and the education of a dermatologist.

If I could rate this person a 0/5 stars, trust me I would. Harley is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever met which is shocking considering the reviews made it seem like Harley was kind, understanding, and professional. It started when he led me to believe that his shop is still open, then told me that I would have to come to his house for the treatments 17 hours (not even a whole DAY!!) before my appointment. I told him I was uncomfortable with coming to his house as I feel like this type of treatment should be done in a work setting aka a nice, clean, professional shop. He retaliated by telling me he doesn’t understand why I’m uncomfortable and tried to force me to come to his house time and time again. Very unsafe and disrespectful. I told him I don’t feel safe coming to his house in the middle of a pandemic and he told me that it wasn’t a big deal. How does that make any sense? And time and time again he would avoid my questions and concmerns and kept asking me to come to his house. Seems like he has different motives if you ask me... Not to mention, my friends appointment is scheduled 2 hours after mine on the same day and my friend received the same amount of harsh treatment as I did. We were shocked and displeased. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from Harley.

I went to Harley for a consultation a few months ago after seeing all the positive reviews on google and after viewing his instagram posts. I’m now looking forward to my third appointment with him. Harley is so patient he always answers all of my questions and he makes me feel secure as he talks you through the entire process while he’s doing it. I got a Jessner peel done with him the last time I went and I absolutely fell in LOVE with the results!!! It made a significant difference in my dark acne marks that I’ve had for years, it reduced my redness and to my surprise it even helped my skin texture. Being uncomfortable in your own skin is a huge problem a lot of people tend to deal with. Hence, why I decided to see Harley for my acne breakouts and Rosacea. I have never felt so comfortable with my face as Harley was explaining different treatment types and ultimately deducing what was causing my breakouts. Ive been struggling with acne scars for a while and went to Harley for a microderm. My skin cleared up so much and went for a second treatment and its the most clear it has been in years. Harley is extremely friendly and patient. I recently went to get a chemical peel done on my collar bone area due to some scars I got from a sequined dress. I was nervous about the treatment but Harley patiently explained the process and answer my many questions during the session and after while the skin heeled. So lets start from the booking process. I always look around to make sure I got to the best place possible, as he had good reviews I decided to book online. I received 1 email that was from the booking site that just had a time and date. As it was a new adventure and I did not want to go in alone, I got my sister to come with me. When we get there we dont know how to get in, we tried to call up no answer we tried again still no answer. We panicked as we thought you should always be 15 minutes early. When we finally get up stairs we reach the door and it was cracked open. HARLEY was waiting in the hallway. He was very rude and right away was like you did not follow instructions (I NEVER RECEIVED INSTRUCTIONS) he then was like well I got a confirmation that you received them, which I dont know how because clearly if I knew I was not allowed up until the exact time I would not have showed up early. Then he said I was not able to have my sister in the room and I was worried because he was already being very rude and I did not want to be left in a room with him. He then said we should have followed instructions because someone with autism could have came in the hallway and attacked me. I no longer feel safe at all, so I inform him I am leaving. He then said I must pay him for a service I NEVER received. Once I explained I will not force my sister to wait 90 minutes down stairs by her self and in an area she has never been and I no longer feel safe at this establishment I went to leave he then said he will be calling the cops for theft of service, and had signed an agreement to service, (I never signed anything when making an appointment) once again I never received a service because he was incredibly rude!!!! I will not be going back, and as there was two of us there we both did not agree with the way he talks to people we both wanted to voice our opinion of how we felt. He may try flipping the story but I am the one who walked out before any receiving ANY service which was due to his rude comments and attitude towards me, his guest. I did however stay calm the entire conversation with him and was not rude back at all. It was so uncomfortable, I just know I will not be returning.

Before seeing him, I had an unfortunately unhelpful experience with a local dermatologist where I felt rushed through the appointment, without guidance on how to improve what I went in for.With Harley, it was a completely different experience. I recently had a peel done by Harley to help combat my adult acne and post hyperpigmentation. I could not be happier with my results!!! I cannot wait to go back for my next peel. My acne has decreased SIGNIFICANTLY and my hyperpigmentation is SO much lighter. I have a few old acne scars and very large pores that are unattractive. My 2nd treatment which was the chemical peel also went very well. The peel is probably the strongest treatment I’ve had done. Harley explained everything very thoroughly. Step by step he made sure I was comfortable. He has continued to check in with me throughout the process which I appreciate, I think it shows a level of concern and professionalism. He also had a great touch. I would recommend Harley True to anyone. He did a great job!!

Harley is amazing! I got a microdermabrasion from him a little over a month ago and it made a huge improvement in the texture of my skin, and it still looks great. It also really improved the appearance of my pores, especially on my nose. He even did some extractions at the end for me. Harley is magic.....truly magic. I went through multiple consultations with other estheticians and meds spas. I found Harley online after doing hours of research, and being brand new to Portland, I didnt know what to expect. The appointment process was simple and quick via text, and he even threw out some options for me before my appt just to give me an idea of what he was thinking! His texts were nice and to the point- exactly what I wanted. He booked me as his last client at 7:30Pm on a Saturday. Now this is a man who truly cares about his practice; I dont know many people who will schedule appointments during that time.Harley was immediately polite, upbeat, and so friendly. He is one of those people who has an infectious personality in the way that he speaks, and he is absolutely hilarious! We laughed and chatted throughout my visit. I was given the most extensive, thorough run down of all my treatment options- there was absolutely no intent to try to sell me the most expensive option. He is perfectly honest about what will give the best results, and he custom tailors that for each guest. I told him what I was looking to get, and we came up with a plan that would fit best right now with my social calendar in mind.I probably asked over 100 questions, and he happily answered every single one. Beyond that, he truly wanted to make sure I understood every detail and he showed me photos and such to put my mind at ease. He is the easiest person to talk to, and he has the perfect balance of professionalism mixed with friendliness- he truly wants to get to know his guests inside and out.The part that really blew me away was the amount of raw knowledge he has! He knows every detail about every product, peel, lotion, ingredient, and the list goes on. He was so engaging and intelligent that I even told him that his ability to explain the science of his techniques was incredibly impressive. I went in for a diamond chemical facial (microdermabrasion and a chemical peel). It was hands down the best one Ive ever had. Harley spent so much timing making sure my face was even and perfect. I had a couple blemishes, and now a few days later, you cant even see the discoloration and they are all gone.Ive gotten so many compliments the past few days on my complexion and one woman joked when she carded me it was because my baby face. And then she was surprised when I was older than her! I am only in my mid 20s, but my skin is baby soft and perfect now. Harley was able to fix the little dry areas and discolored ones from acne I used to have.I would recommend Harley to anyone looking to feel more beautiful and confident with their skin.
