Awesome experience once again at Throne. What a class act establishment. I saw Nathan today for the first time and he did a stellar job and he turned me into a stud today. Turns out we went to the same high school. What a great team and marvelous interior. Shout out to Sang the owner, Nathan who cut me today and the gentleman at Williams who picked up the phone to schedule the appointment to another location based on my needs. What an experience.

Ive gotten the best haircut of my life multiple times here. I highly recommend Sean! He listens, cares and really pays attention to detail. And if youre lucky you might get an awesome sticker!

I was really excited to come here, great reviews, good location. When you walk in it’s very nice and clean and has that modern/industrial vibe to it. The guy who greeted me was very nice, and my barber Sean was a really cool dude with great conversation. My haircut however is one of the worst I’ve had in awhile, I just feel like I wasn’t listened too. I asked for a low bald fade, with a noticeable taper and some more texture on top with sort of a messy look. This is not at all what I got. Instead I got a 0 at best on side burns, certainly not bald whatsoever, with a uneven fade all around. Certain parts you can tell are longer and it just looks splotchy. On top, there was only shears used with no texturing technique, and the left side of the top is dramatically longer than the right side, almost like he was going for a hard part without a hard part, when I wanted it blended. Again cool spot, and I’m sure there are good barbers/stylists here. Maybe I didn’t communicate well enough, but I feel I did and Sean could have done a much better job.

Was super excited to check out this neighborhood grill for Sunday Brunch. Great pictures of the food. Unfortunately the hype did not meet up to the actual meal. Drinks, Bloody Mary and Mimosa were good, their version of Huevos Rancheros was in a word, horrible. No flavor, no freshness of the Pico, too salty of the carnitas, cold stringy cheese and scrambled eggs. Go for the drinks, stay for the games, leave the food alone

Love this place!!!! Dylan gave me a fresh to death cut and I had an awesome experience. The guys there all help each other out and have a really good chemistry. It was cool to see the owner giving his tips and tricks, and really helping out and making sure I had an amazing experience. You guys have my business until my hair falls out!

No words! This is the best shop in Portland. I have used the Throne for 5+ years and am more than satisfied with the barbers I have used. Nathan, Marcos and Sean have been nothing but professional and attention detailed. Sean worked with me most recently and asked questions, made sure I was comfortable but most importantly... he cared! A genuinely good man who ended up making my day! This is more than a barbershop! 💈

I used to come here before I moved for work and was so happy to see theyre still around when I moved back. Best haircut in Portland, hands down. Professional, friendly and they really know what theyre doing. The vibe is always on point. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Made an appointment with a specific barber but when I got there it was someone different. It was a decent cut but not from who I wanted.

Great staff all around, I always get what Im asking for and it looks even better than expected.If you want to have some fun conversation while getting your hair did, they can do that.If you want to just sit there, theyre fine with that too.

I love Throne. I used to go to their Pearl location, but switched to this one because its closer to home. The barbers are friendly, talented and well-trained. Plus, you get a shot of booze, beer or soft drink with your haircut which is never a bad thing. Even at 10am.

I loved the atmosphere, space, and how the staff maintained a feeling of class while keeping the space clean and orderly. Sean always does a great, thorough job and doesnt miss any details. Enthusiastically recommend!

DJ is my fav. I wouldn’t see anyone else only because he’s my go to. Followed him from another shop so stayin true to him. The new shop/ second shop, is cute. Very intimate. It’s difficult to find parking so give yourself time. It’s fantastic to have a beer while getting your look on.

If you are tired of going to barbershops that you schedule appointments at and still have to wait 30 - 60 minutes when you get there, then you need to schedule a haircut at Throne! These guys are always punctual, friendly, and give great haircuts. Sang Nguyen did an excellent fade for me. I highly recommend this barbershop!

Great haircut and beard trim. DJ was thorough and professional. The price was higher than I am used to paying, typically I expect a haircut to be $20 to $30 and this time was $36. I was thinking of giving four stars just for that, but on the other hand, quality is quality so I will go ahead and give five stars.

I originally started coming here because Sperry, a barber at Thrones other location in NW, moved here when it opened. As I repeat this, I feel like it sounds a little crazy because normally youd think a guy can just go in anywhere and get a haircut and just...whatever, but it takes real skill to trim and shape a beard and mustache. My beard comes in all shades of blonde, brown and red, and Sperry is literally the first guy Ive found to not make me look like I tried to do it myself without a mirror. A visit or two ago, though, their online appointment site wouldnt let me book in with him. I called them up and was told he was sticking closer to his home on the west side, but they recommended I try booking with Sang.I was worried. Ive heard that Sang is one of the founders of Throne, so yeah sure hes got to be good but Ive found that cutting hair is a skill that doesnt necessarily translate to being good at doing anything with facial hair. But I was looking rough, so I had to take the chance.Im glad I did. Sang makes my beard look like something that came out of a magazine!Aside from the insane levels of skill these barbers bring to the shop, the place overall has this fantastically relaxed atmosphere. They have booze and whatnot to partake in while youre waiting your turn, and everyone is really easy going.Why havent you come here yet?

I went for a beard trim and shape. I specified that I only wanted to trim the wild hairs, wanted to keep the length as close to the same as possible. My biggest disappointment is that the barber used a straight edge to take almost 1.5 down from my cheek line. 1.5! Thats a lot. I dont know why he did that. At the time, its very difficult to notice thats happening until its too late. I would not go here again, nor would I reccomend it to anyone I know. The only thing I appreciated a little bit, was the hot towel wrap on my face prior to the straight edge shave. On top of my disappointing visit, it still cost me about $60. That hurts.

Ive never had an experience like this before, but after living for 3 weeks on a construction jobsite at the beach I figured I needed some extra help getting cleaned up. Im glad I did. The guys made me feel totally comfortable, and without a doubt I got the best cut Ive ever had. Very attentive and highly skilled barber who is obviously extremely passionate about his work. For my lifestyle, this would be too much money for regular visits, but for special occasions I will definitely go back again.

As Dylan Cruz took my scruffy boyfriend and turned him into a daper gent again for a family wedding, I spent a few minutes watching the talented crew here transform everyone that sat in their chairs.
