Hammer and Nails absolutely nails it! My new go to for father and son grooming. I felt at home from the second we walked through the door. Cutting edge, edgy and unlike anything else in Ptown!

Im sitting here, 45 min (and counting) waiting for my hair cut. Last time I came I sat here for 25 min. I was offered a 50% today, so that’s nice but still not good. 1 hour of my time wasted is not good. I have a membership here, and Im considering stoping. I have 5 credits so I need to use them

This place is amazing! Its so clean and relaxing. Its a great place to decompress. And the $64 membership makes it incredibly affordable.

Have been getting my haircuts here since theyve opened and havent got anywhere since.Easy going and well skilled staff, plus its super easy to book online/through their app.It also doesnt hurt that they have extra services to keep your nails and feet in check so its definitely a one stop shop thats centrally located by downtown.Definitely worth stopping by and checking them out.

This is the best idea for men to come about in years. Women can come too! Being pampered in plushness is whats up. I came and got the Signature Pedi from Angela and I left feeling awesome. Strong hands for the reflexology, drinks are served and if you want you can watch sports on the big screens overhead. Love this!

Surprised my Guy with the Big Daddy treatment for Father’s Day... We loved it! The atmosphere is dope, the nail techs were friendly, efficient, and professional! The nail room is a man cave for real which is pretty awesome especially for the men that don’t appreciate the typical nail shop chatter! Very satisfied with the services provided!

Came across this Hammer Nails in search of a highly rated place to get my hair cut. I was downtown running errands so I thought I’d check this place out. As soon as I walked in I was instantly greeted with amazing customer service and smiling faces. Once it was my turn I got Brendan, and I honestly can say this, Great conversations, super funny, not to mention and awesome haircut. Definitely a hidden gem if you’re wanting excellent service, rustic atmosphere, and an awesome new haircut! Definitely will be getting their membership 👍🏻

2-12-19 Update (changed to 3-Stars):Yesterday I emailed the story below of my experience to their corporate office, so they could provide appropriate coaching to their employees, and requesting my membership be canceled. The local owner, Keenan, called me this evening and apologized for my experience. He didnt have a manager call, he called. He stated that my experience was not what anybody should ever have, as is not what they built their business on. He asked me to return for a service on him. In his words, even if you choose to not continue your membership, I want you to have experienced the service we are proud of offering. In football, youre only as good as your last kick.I will return and revise this, now 3-Star, review accordingly.Original 1-Star Review: Arrived for my haircut appointment and realized I could add a pedicure. Receptionist said it was not a problem and sent me back for my pedicure first. It was great. Then proceed to get the haircut. Cut went fine. Then I was sent away. No styling, no hot towel, no shampoo...all the things advertised that were to make this experience unique. I was sent out with no product in my hair, not even combed, and with cut bits falling everywhere. I know it was late in the day, but that should never make a difference in the customers experience or lessen the advertised service they are supposed to receive.

We moved to PDX about 6 months ago and I stumbled upon this place while looking for a good barber in town. It is only a couple blocks away from work so it is super convenient. I got lucky on my first visit and got Chris, who gave me THE ABSOLUTE BEST fade I’ve ever seen. The extra treatment with the signature cut (hot towel, straight razored edges, scalp massage, etc.) was wonderful too. I ended up buying the membership and have been getting my cut here ever since. I’ve also had my haircut by Brendan twice when I had to go out of town for work and Chris was not there. He did a very good job as well. Overall, I love Hammer and Nails!

I drive by this place on the way home from work, so I decided to give it a shot. Was able to make a same-day appointment online, and they called to confirm. Cool atmosphere, owner was there and introduced himself, staff was great. Quality haircut from Brendan. I didnt have time to check out their other services, but Ill definitely be back.

Have been going to this place since it opened. Awesome, friendly atmosphere. If you want a really great haircut and great conversation I highly recommend Ashley. She’s a skilled stylist and will hook you up with a rad cut!

Bad picture but my experience was great! I really liked it there and my hands feel great. No judgement on your condition going in, you walk out feeling amazing and awesome! I had a 15 dollar manicure probily worth 60 anywhere else!

I love going here, it is a great value with great service. The front desk is very professional and accommodating, Tre is great with clippers, and Keenan, the owner, is very hands-on and very personable. Overall, it is a great atmosphere and I really enjoy going there.
