Got all my pandemic hair cut off and this was one of the best experiences Ive had with a hair cut. It was quick, but didnt feel even the littlest bit rushed. With how much she cut and all the extra detail work, I am still having a hard time believing it took less than 30 minutes. Will definitely be returning.

Grace is simply the best in the area. 100% consistent no frills best cut every time without fail. And such a nice person too. I hope her business only grows I’ll never go anywhere else if I have an option. Would love to see a website or a voicemail to tell you if they are open or closed as the only way is to stop by, but it’s just a small inconvenience.

The best barber I’ve visited in Portland hands down. Recently moved from Las Vegas to Portland for work, and as one would imagine the amount and quality of hair salons and barbers in Vegas was excellent, however to my surprise this so far hasn’t been the case in Portland. After trying most salons and barbers in my area (including GREAT CLIPS💀) the results have been rather lack luster and inconsistent.That is until I stumbled upon Grace at JG Barbers! Very clean and precise, no fancy frills, simply the best results at an unbeatable price! My visit was on a Monday and there was no wait, I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she quickly went to work, with the results being better than the photo. There’s no doubt in my mind that I’ve found my permanent barber in Portland, and recommend all to give JG Barbers a try for the price, quality, and overall excellent experience!Note: walk-ins only so there may or may not be a wait, and the shop is serviced by only one barber: Grace, well worth the wait :)

Ive been in several times for a haircut and they have consistently turned out really great! The owner takes her time and pays attention to detail, keeping you cleaned up through the process. Very nice lady and while I wish they took appointments, I will continue to go back. Have a little patience and youll get great value and a great cut vs some of the themed barber shops.

Great barbershop! Most barbers Ive been to try to cycle me in and out as fast as they can so they can take the next persons $20. Not here! They take pride in their work and make sure that you like the cut before they start cleaning up. I was very happy with the way my hair turned out.As other reviewers have mentioned, the cut includes an optional straight razor neck shave with aftershave and hair shampoo free of charge.

Id been searching for a new barber after moving to this area. I tried a couple different places but was never happy with the results. Until I found JG. I get a great cut everytime.

I went here a few months ago and Im returning tomorrow. Grace is an extremely nice lady who gives an incredibly detailed haircut for a pretty good price. She is very skilled and is efficient, but do expect to spend a little more time here than usual because she makes sure your haircut is perfect. It is a little hard to understand her accent (something of Asian origin) but she seriously did an amazing job on my hair. I highly recommend this place!

The lady that works there is super nice and she does an amazing job at cutting hair. Its the only place I get my haircut from now on.

Grace did a great job and really pays attention to what she is doing and how the cut is shaping up. She has full command of the barber tools, thinning and tapering tools, etc. rotating through them with rapid succession---not just the usual power trimmer, scissors and comb hair cut. I am extremely satisfied with my hair cut and found Grace is a highly skilled barber.

Great place for haircut but needs more barbers. Everytime Ive gone its only been one and the wait is a little long.

Als Barber Shop just closed because Al retired after 53 years at the same location. JG is not too far away, so I thought I would give it a shot. I got a good haircut, but being a geezer and all, I kind of choked at the price. Beard trim and haircut cost 17 bucks at Als. JG charges $28. Actually, I shouldnt have to pay for the haircut at all--it should be more like a Finders Fee.
