Ask for Erin shes amazing at her job. Great person to talk to as well. Care very much about doing exactly what you want but also has the creativity to Branch out, and I promise you wont be disappointed. She does color as well, also amazing. As for the rest of the very friendly and professional. And you cant go wrong with getting your haircut by any of them to be frank. Their products that they sell are top of the line but wont break your bank. 10 out of 10 experience Ill be going here again and associate you.

Was really hesitant to get a haircut at a barbershop since but my stylist (I forgot her name ) gave me an awesome haircut. She was super super communicative all the way through which I really appreciated. We were able to discuss precisely what Style would work best. The price was very reasonable and I will be back.

Great prices when compared to similar downtown salons/barbershops, great location (just a train ride and short stroll away), great people! Just moved to Portland and I am so glad I found this place!I came back half an hour later worried I didn’t ask for enough thinning on the sides of my hair (I have layers), and they gladly did more thinning w/o any extra cost (they mentioned something about a 7-day hair satisfaction guarantee).The place still requires masks, which I personally find to be a good thing.

Rudys doesnt allow customers to bring in their own clippers, even if the clippers are professional level Wahl brand clippers. Ive noticed that the salon stylist clippers are not cleaned adequately from customer to customer. I think not allowing customers to bring in their own clippers and cape is too inflexible considering the times in which we are living. For this reason, I am not going back to Rudys. Ive been a loyal customer there for over two years and Ive always gone to Will. Hes a great stylist and hes also super cool. But I just dont feel safe given how equipment is not cleaned and capes are not adequately cleaned and neck brushes are not cleaned either. Its too bad. I will miss going to Will for sure. I think Rudys should consider changing their policy regarding capes and brushes and clippers. Customers should be allowed to bring their own, provided the quality of the clippers is acceptable to the stylist who would need to use them.

No matter who cuts my hair I feel my experience at Rudys is always positive. Everyone is helpful, skilled, and friendly. If you need a cut on the fly, they have you covered. Need to schedule something out, also cool. I started going here exclusively years ago and never looked back - they a do a fantastic job with my long, wavy/curly hair. Nevermind that they are also far less expensive than your average salon.

Rudys hasnt failed me with a bad haircut after working with multiple people. Theyre very communicative and diligent to ensure your getting exactly what you want.Theyre also really great at making conversation. If you dont have the best social skills, Rudys is a great place to practice some small talk.Ill definitely be revisiting Rudys next time Im in Portland.

Rudys is one of the best places to get hair done in Portland. After reading many recommendations and reviews, I brought my hair business to Rudys about four years ago. I immediately was drawn in by the fun decor and laid back staff. There is always great music playing (Ive learned about several great bands through Rudys). Every single stylist I had was fantastic. Each one was friendly and incredibly talented. The one time I was unhappy with my bangs, they happily fixed it the next day. This is not just a place for hipsters: Ive seen people of all ages and walks of life get their hair cut here. The prices are great for the services they offer. Yes. it is more expensive than Great Clips or Super Cuts, but this isnt that kind of salon. Rudys is an upscale salon at a budget price! I cannot recommend Rudys enough, it is worth the extra trip for me! Ive had more experiences with the Division St. stylists, but several of them work at this location as well.

Edit: my friends and my partner all think the haircut is bad. If they cant lie to me about it then I am really too embarrassed to go out anywhere! Im sorry but I have to change to a 1 star. I got the haircut for a conference and now Im going to be too self conscious to fully enjoy it or the rest of my trip here...---------------------------------------The staff were very friendly and I was seen to quickly, but I was not satisfied with my haircut. It was shorter than I had wanted, which was only a trim on the sides and a buzz down at the back, but the front of my hair was cut extremely short. Not a huge deal, but it was also very choppy looking. Theres clearly a huge cut out of one part of the bangs that looks different from the rest, and I had asked to have my hair parted to the left, but the bangs are so short and in identical length the whole way through that this is not possible.The back and sides were fine but its the front of my face that people will see! Im embarrassed to go out with my hair like this. Im sure the hairdresser normally does very good work, since everything but the front was very nice.

No short cuts! My husband and I️ took our 21 month old son here on a whim on our way home from dinner. We were visiting from out of town and he needed a haircut. He’d had them before, but never at a real barbershop, always kid salons.Brianna did a really great job with him! Despite him being a little squirmy, she did not compromise on quality, and gave him the best haircut he’s ever had. He was in the chair (on my lap) for 30 minutes start to finish.Thanks for great service and a great haircut!

First professional haircut Ive gone for in 6 years. Loved the staff and the interior design. Lots of hair products available. Shampoo/conditioner purchases go to charity for LGBTQ+ youth. Looking forward to coming back : )

I go to Rudy’s in the Pearl District. It is low key and there are a lot of stylists to choose from. Prices are reasonable and they have an easy to use app for an appointment, or you can show up which usually works too.

I strongly suggest you dont go this barbershop. Its ridiculous expensive. Dont trust what they are promoting and they will overcharge you at the end. They are not being honest. I hate people always trying to trick their customers. They overcharged us by just doing basic buzzing job. They charge $35+ for buzzing a mans hair which is so different from their claimed rate of $15. How dare you!!! Also they did lousy job and took so long time. Lets how they make people pay more. It took 30mins to buzz the hair so they cant charge extra fees for that. Life is precious for everyone and dont make it your tool to over charge us. If there is negative stars, I wont hesitate to give them so. Dont go there for gods sake!!!

Had a great experience coming in here for a beard trim. I had an appointment with Levi. He explained what he was doing every step of the way and gave me a small sample of product to take home and try. I highly recommend him and the shop in general.

Best male haircut at a non salon price Ive had. I rotate between many barbers at this location and have been completely satisfied with all but one. Definitely do a great job on classic styles like side parts that have become far more popular then the usual Bishop scene cuts, and great service

I have been a happy Rudys customer for many years, but had a terrible experience at this location, from initial customer service to apathetic stylist. I left with a really awful haircut and its a horrible feeling.I am giving three stars because after contacting Rudys to let them know about my experience, they gave me a full refund, which I really appreciated.

I dont know about a girls haircut. But, Im a guy and this is the first time Ive actually liked a new hair cut. The girl did a terrific job (laura) and she was super friendly. It seems like they specialize in guys cuts which explains why all the negative comments are posted by girls. So, if youre a guy definitely check them out... they give excellent mens cuts! But, if youre a girl you might want to find another salon because everyone has their expertise and Rudys forte is definitely mens cuts.

Had my hair cut by Jason. I really do not require anything dramatic, typically, just a high fade. However, he really did a super job, paying attention to the details that separate a SuperCuts fade from an actual proper haircut. Perfectly tapered neck, straight razored the neck, and I thought the price was real reasonable.I did not make an appointment and had no problem getting in quickly. Overall, I think the excellent rating is warranted and I will definitely be back to get another cut by Jason.

They have a friends and neighbors discount! If you live or work in the neighborhood, mention it to get a couple bucks knocked off your next haircut.

It is cheap, they have beer, and you dont need an appointment, which is nice. But, after failing on three occasions to get a decent haircut, had to relent and return to a traditional salon.
