Nice place giving 4 stars because my rent has gone up every year since I been here. I did start with a apartment 6 years ago rent was at 645 it was a good price went up to a town house in November I like it. I hope to find a house like it living room and bathroom could go bigger but other than that it would be perfect its homey though.
People cry about every little thing here. Find somthing else trust me
I recently had a very short time period to find an apartment. I found silver lake apartments and after seeing an apartment, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to beat the amazing price for such nice and spacious apartments. Throughout my move in, Nicole was very helpful and made sure that I could get moved into my apartment as quickly as possible. After my move in, maintenance quickly came and fixed the few things that I noticed. Everyone is very helpful and responsive.
The apartments are pretty nice for the price and management is very friendly! If you need something you just call ask and they do their best to get it done quickly. We’ve been here for 3 years and still are very happy with where we are at! Awesome place to be!
I moved into my apartment a month ago and I absolutely love it! Very clean and comfortable! The management couldn’t be any nicer! Dealing with Nicole has been a pleasure!😊
I recently had a short window of time to find a place to rent that was not only nice but affordable. I came across Silver Lake through a friend and two days later I was signing my lease. The apartment itself was clean with updated appliances, paint, and carpet. The building grounds were well kept and management staff was beyond helpful with all I needed last minute. Payment and maintenance requests are super easy through the apartment portal and there is always someone to answer your questions in an excellent time frame.
Unfortunately I am not happy with my time here at Silver Lake. Nicole is a good property manager but the apartment is so run down it isnt worth all the headaches. I have emailed 8 times about the dryers being broken and twice about potholes. The dryers keep getting fixed and then one month later they are broken again. The hallways are very outdated and are a safety hazard because the railings are all loose and the poles are broken but are just stuck back in instead of actually fixed. For example, the plastic outgoing box for our mail has fallen off the wall and shattered. It is taped together with packing tape and taped back onto the wall instead of fixing it. There was a pole sticking out by the steps and it was just pushed back into the slot versus actually being nailed. Nicole is sweet and helpful but I do not recommend until some serious changes are done. Each time something needs to be repaired or replaced it is Out of their control. Very frustrating. I would not recommend these apartments to anybody. You can move across the street to Rolling Woods for $100 more a month to have a washer and dryer, garage, and central heat and air. These apartments are worth maybe $700 a month but you will be paying over $800 with any apartment plan. Really disappointed. I used to think it was just me complaining constantly, but after speaking to the neighbors they have had the same experience as me. PLEASE dont waste your time here, you will regret it. Many promises that were never fulfilled here with issues we are having. Look elsewhere!!
I have been here a few years now.. I can’t say enough good things about how far the property has came in the last year! The property has had its small issues, which in my rental experience almost all do in some way or another. But the management and maintenance staff have been doing a fantastic job! I’ve always loved it here, be even more so now!
The former manager there was a joke. Great place, bad management
Turning into a great place! I have seen it transform over the years and love all of the updates I have seen to the buildings. I see kids playing in the apartments parks and staff always on site for the tenants. It seems to have a lot to offer and lower prices than the surrounding apartment communities.
Poor management. Things dont get taken care of, like snow removal, blown fuses, washers and dryers, etc.
Very expensive for 2 bedroom. Heat is 100.00 to 200.00 per month in winter. Cheap owner. 2 great maintenance men. Each been there 20 years each.
Horrible place!!! Eviction notice after 3 days late on rent. Took the late payment fee penalty willingly and scheduled a payment via their app, also made two courtesy calls to explain the situation. 3 days later I get an eviction notice and my payment arrangements were cancelled on their app. After 6 months of early payments. Unbelievable! Never seen such a thing. Watch out for LINDA!
Wow. I give 2 stars because its not the worst apartment complex Ive been to but it sure needs some improvements. Management there is super flaky. They will try to nickel and dime you in petty ways like telling you you owe one amount for rent then waiting until you are late then charging you a huge fee because you didnt pay all of your tent on time. Its a longer story than that but believe me it was completely asinine.Another part that is messed up is one day we found a channel locks (pliers) laying randomly in the middle of the bathroom floor when we got home. They werent ours so someone with a key had been in the apartment doing something. Who was it? Who knows. I cant imagine a former tenant would be in there trying to fix something. There was no word that maintenance had been in there for an emergency and we didnt call them for anything. It was just strange. It didnt seem like anything was missing but who knows. Weird. If you are a visitor dont park in the parking lot. They will tow your car away. That would be just an annoyance if you could park on the street over night in the winter but you cant or youll get ticketed/towed by the city. So basically you cant have overnight company in the winter unless you ask them for permission. It seems like maybe thats a little much for a place you are paying a good chunk of money to stay at.The washers and dryers are always busted. They try to get you to pay for normal wear and tear when you leave. The good:Theres lots of kids around for your children to play with.Playground equipment. All in all it seems like it would be a really awesome place to live but there are some management issues. Process/procedures are fast and loose.
Apartment are clean and nice. Management is helpful.
Too much people cry and complaint, you can not even move a finger cause it annoys every one, management the need to be more careful who they believe, units are bad and small, i dont recomend this to no one, dont waiste your time applying for this complex
These are some shady people to deal with. They said theyd be doing a pre-move out inspection which, in their mind, is a lady poking her head and simply saying, ok looks fine. Without even actually looking around the apartment claiming its, how we do it. Theyll always pass the costs on to you and up them if they can find a way. I can also say, from firsthand experience, that theyll always use their word against yours. You reported something broken? No you didnt or wed have fixed it by now! Seriously, unless you like paying a lot, do not waste your time with this place!
Management and maintenance on the apartments is not very good. Takes 2 weeks to a month to get something fixed when you call. I do not recommend this place to anyone
Was accepted by the company for an apartment, then the day before moving in, got a phone call and said I was rejected. This place isnt worth anyones time, so dont waste your time applying. Customer service was unbelievable rude as well, I have never been talked to the way they talked to me. I wouldnt recommend this place to even my worst enemy!!
Great place to stay, all the rooms are spacious...
