Friendly, fast, and courteous service over at Gene Gorman. Would definitely recommend

Complicated experience. Paid $900+ for new brake pads, rotors, and an engine mount before a big move. New mount significantly helped but the brakes have continued to squeak and squeal since having them changed. It’s normal to last a few days but not weeks. Had them checked again after the move and there was a line unattached. The brakes continue to squeak. Called Scott (not the manager who oversaw service). Said it couldn’t be their fault. They don’t touch lines. I explained that even if that’s the case the pads must be problematic because the brakes are still squeaking. Said without looking at it he can’t help and that it’s on me. They definitely could’ve knocked a line, and he refused to work with me. Overpriced especially not to receive the services paid for

These folks are so friendly. Even the guy who does the detailing went out of his way to greet me cheerfully.

Purchased a used trailer from a private party, while on the way home one if the wheel bearings let go. Pulled into this business. The staff was friendly and worked with me on a possible fixed and allowed me to leave the trailer while I looked at other options to get it home. Later returned after hours to try and fix the issue. The owner of the business arrived and without hesitation began helping me to fix the problem. He even opened up his shop to get some tools to help me out. I was able to get a part and get the trailer home. I had offered to pay for his services, but he refused and said he just wanted to help. Wow, who does this anymore, says alot about the owner and his business. I will definitely be doing business with them in the future for my two vehicles.....

These guys really helped me out when I was in a tight spot. Did a full brake job and replaced a couple tires. Car drives great and it was better than a fair and reasonable price. If you need work done or just some simple maintenance I highly recommend these guys.

They were literally trying to steal my money by over charging me for something that I paid less at another well known place to do. Over the phone they told me one thing to reel me in there, then in person it was another. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Please, spare yourself the headache and dont go here.

Thay did a great job in finding the nails in my tires and repaired them

I got an alignment done here and 2 Weeks later I went to Tire Kingdom and they told me I needed an alignment done. Tire Kingdom provided a printout of the diagnostic report showing where Gene Gorman did not do the appropriate work. When I went to Gene Gorman’s to fix the problem they said the work was done and they know the man who did it. But they provide ZERO printout reports. They say they are honest but how do I know? My report shows they are not.

They took my car immediately at my appointed time and made the repair to my complete satisfaction! Excellent techs and friendly mgmt.

A nice small auto repair place

Excellent service and they didnt try and over sell me. I had an alignment issue on a vehicle I just bought from another dealer. They offered one fix that is common for AWD vehicles at no charge. Although it improved it, it wasnt completely fixed. Brought it back and did the full alignment it was spot on. Good price for good work. Ill be back.

I had called and made an appointment and spoke with Jonathan and specifically told him I wanted 2 full synthetic oil changes for my vehicles he had told me it would be around 55. When I came back to pick up my second vehicle I had noticed it was gone one of the guys took it and drove it to try and get the low tire pressure sign off my vehicle without even asking on top of the covid19 going around and no mask wonder what the BBB would say and it was not what I wanted done on top of that they put synthetic blend instead of full synthetic oil and also overinflated the tires very UNPROFESSIONAL and unorganized

I was driving home from work yesterday and my car started bucking. I pulled over to see what was going on. The motor is junk. Blew a hole through the head. And there was no warning. Turns out there is a recall on the motor, and Hyundai is going to replace it for nothing. I lost sleep last night stressing over this! Thanks to Gene Gorman Auto Repair for having it towed to their shop, checking it out and going the extra step to find out about the recalls (there are 3 on the car), and for having it towed to the nearest Hyundai dealership. I truly am so thankful!

Just had my oil changed and brake services done today, it was excellent!

I visited this shop looking for help replacing my headlight bulbs. Their mechanic, Brandon, Was very helpful and incredibly nice. I felt bad because I was asking him for his opinion on my car and another car I own as well as other questions. He answered all of my questions confidently, was very honest with me and very informative. I will absolutely come back to have all of my cars worked on here because of my experience with Brandon and the gentleman at the front desk. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Since living here in 2002 we had gone through four or five different auto service centers until receiving a recommendation to try Gene Gorman Tire & Auto Repair in Charlotte Harbor. This was the best thing that could’ve happened to us, when we think of all the money that we have saved by moving away from our former mechanics, who somehow always seemed to find something else to charge us for when we were in for a simple oil change. Gene Gorman Tire & Auto is by far the most honest and fair auto repair business you will find anywhere. They are very personable, professional and will never charge you for something you don’t need or overcharge you for something you actually do need. They really do treat their customers like they would a family member. Hats off to their entire staff!

The repair was affordable and they dont pressure you to add extra services and are honest about what needs done. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs repairs or tires in the area.

Front desk guys are great, Im undecided on the mechanics. They were trying to replace my fuel pump when all it needed was the electrical connector.

I have a reliable car warranty, but the other two places that I visited made me feel like the plague. I went to the Port Charlotte Gene Gorman auto shop and they treated me like royalty!
