They installed my unit 2 years ago. I called them bc the ac stopped blowing cold. He said I needed pipes at $1800 or!!! He could run a sealant through to plug any leaks for $350. I was hot and not thinking clearly so I agreed. Even after he said my unit didn’t have oil and I asked him to show me where there isn’t any oil- he couldn’t. After several second opinions, I know I was sold something I didn’t need. How could a 2 year old system installed by you already need new pipes?

Had a employee of this company driving under the speed limit in the left lane on the highway I passed him and motioned him to moved over by pointing over to the right lane and he continued to flip me off and pull out his phone for the next 2-3 miles holding it up recording after I slowed down to get a picture of his vehicle

We had our unit serviced on March 4th. Tect also gave an unsolicited quote for replacement of ductwork. One month later electric bill went from 55 to 377. Called them back and same tect came out and said all was ok but still wanted to replace ductwork. Another company was contacted and they said that the heater and air were working at the same time. What a scam to get ductwork replaced. Scam scam scam. Weve since had to replace that 5 yr unit completely. We had them put in a new unit in our own house and we paid 2000 more then anyone else and still had them come back out as it wasnt put in per contract and still had problems afterwards. Stay away.

My A/C unit stopped functioning in mid-August. Mike came out, identified the problem immediately, and the unit was up and running in no time. He (Mike) was extremely knowledgeable, efficient and gave suggestions pertaining to keeping the system functioning properly. He also suggested ways to enhance longevity and air purification for the system. I was completely confident with his ability as a qualified HVAC employee. Quality Control Air, Inc. is a first rate, reasonably priced company that I would highly recommend.

Called for yearly tune-up of an older A/C heat pump system. Service technician took about 10 minutes looking at my unit then came in to deliver the bad news. He started off by talking about how my system was low in coolant and how EPA had banned the coolant in my system. Since he couldnt recharge the system, my system would soon burn out. He also said other components were in poor condition. Then came the sales pitch. For a mere $6500 he could put in a whole new system.Of course, if I paid cash or credit card, he would have his boss sharpen his pencil! I declined and the very next day had another company come to service my unit. In a half hour they recharged the system and said the rest of the components tested fine. See you next year! Unbelievable that during a pandemic, when most of us are either out of work or on reduced hours, there are companies like Quality Control trying to sell expensive new systems instead of maintain completely capable well-built older units. Based on my very unpleasant experience, my advice is if you have an older AC unit that needs service, stay away from this company.

Jeremy came and did the six month check on the new system which they promply installed one and half year ago when the system we had failed.Upon inspection he saw alot of grout dust in the system and inall the ducts. We had the tile and carpets removed and new tile tile installed this summer while we were gone. The ducts were suppose to be covered during the removal of the old but obviously this was not done as we witness the amount of dust there was inside.Jeremy spoke with his boss and was able to get his crew to come within 2 days and rotored/vacuum all the ducts and the box around the ducts. All the vents were taken outside and washed and sanitized. Tarps were put on the surrounding areas when the work was being done and the cleaned up any they ended on the floor.They were very professional and explain what they were doing. We would recommend them.

Top notch a/c installation. I doubt if there is any better around. Completely satisfied with their fast service, overall value, and complete attention to detail. Call them first, you will be happy you did. And if you dont then let them give you a competitive quote. If the prices are close, chose Quality Control Air Inc.

They tried to scam a potentially vulnerable woman. The service guy said sprinklers rusted through the condenser resulting in a $3,600.00 replacement which would not be covered under warranty. he refused to observe the irrigation while running to verify they do not spray on the coil. Given my 5 year warranty will expire soon, he informed me it may be better to replace the 4 yr old system. $6,000. for another low level builder grade, $7,500, or $10,000. Naturally, I got a second opinion. This service man removed the cover outside, showed me there is no damage anywhere, not inside nor outside. If there was I would see moisture and stains. So, Quality Air, you will not be scamming me. BUYER BEWARE. especially in new communities where everyone has the identical layout of sprinklers and a/c units .

Exactly one year ago I put a new system in to replace one Quality Control Air said couldn’t be fixed. I paid approximately $7000. I am back in Indiana for summer and my son stopped by to check on the house. Air wasn’t working so he called number on unit. A service guy came right out (no charge) and the problem was a completely stopped up condensate tube. This is my conjecture of what happened. When they put in my $7000 new system last June they not only didn’t put in a new discharge tube( that I paid for) but they hooked up to the old one and didn’t bother to clean it out first. This is what two different Heating and Air guys have told me happened. Quality Control Air did clean out the tube this time, but told me the insulation around the unit was all wet because of the clogged pipe. He said they can fix it for $1000. I have called their office 3 times talking to an office manager and still haven’t gotten a call back from bosses. Do YOU want to do business with these people????

Technician Rick came out and serviced my unit and recommend that I replace when I am able to, due to the age of the unit. When I was ready to replace it he came out and gave me a quote that I couldn’t refuse. My unit was installed within the week and has been great. No issues and my electric bill has dropped tremendously. I would highly recommend Quality Air.

Just wanted to share my experience with your tech Rick. After speaking with him, I felt more at ease about the service I was about to have done. He was very professional and did not just rush through the process. Being a senior, it takes longer sometimes for things to be understood clearly. I would recommend him to any of my friends. I had a 2 year maintenance contract with Quality,and when the so called technician came out and he wasnt here very long..and they were always trying to sell you something after they were finished,then I would ask ...did you wash the coils down.,I didnt hear the hose on, the response would be ..oh I was going to do that on my way out...then the technician was last out in late January for maintenance and told me to keep an eye on the cooling because he may have to come back and add refrigerant..About 6 wks go by and I felt the unit was not cooling as well..I called the office,the receptionist set up an appointment,and out comes the GeneralManager/technician looks it over and (15 min. Tops)puts his hand on the top of the coil, and said the top of the coil. Is warm.....you have a leak in your coil.....replace coil $2300. Plus. Or we can put a Allied unit air handler and compressor ( never heard of it) for $5600.and the kicker is our unit is only 6 years old ( builder grade Lennox). Also he added that he had put the same coil in one home 4 times in 18 months..I know.....warranty you say. Well the builder never registered the unit which would give the original owners a 10 year warranty.We are the 2nd owners so only 5 years and out of warranty.Now Im the person that never bites on the first quote....however I did take the leaky coil,..hook,line, and sinker...not only did I find out I can have a new coil installed for between $1400-1700. I had another choice...not given by Quality....a new and improved air handler yes the complete inside unit...complete and installed $2325. By the same company as the coil for $14-17 00...with a 5 year manufacturers warranty the coil alone would carry a 1 year warranty

Worst air conditioning company EVER!!! Put in a top notch $10,000 air conditioning system FOUR years ago and they won’t do a thing to fix it (now won’t work and it’s 90 with a 98 degree heat index at 5:30 pm. STAY AWAY!!!!

I had a good experience with this company. Called them late on Thursday night and received a prompt call back, promising to be there first thing in the morning. Technician Brady showed up promptly at 9 a.m., diagnosed our system, and presented the repair or replace options. We decided to replace and by 3 p.m. that same day we had a new, working air conditioning system.

Hang on to your wallet!! I had two two year maintenance contracts with Quality Control Air. At one time they told me I need a infra red light to kill the mold that was growing inside the unit. They quoted me $770.00. They left and I mixed up a solution and killed the mold. Everytime they come out they were trying to sell me something especially when one of the bosses came out for the maintenance inspection. In April the General Manager came out for the inspection before I headed back north. He told me that I should purchase a surge protector for the unit for $372.00. I told him I was leaving and I would discuss this with him when I returned in October. Well I just returned and my air was not cooling. The GM came out again and said that my 8 year old unit which has been running a total of maybe 30 months in its life span had a large hole in the coil and that it needed to be replaced. He continually told me that units down here only last 10 to 12 years! The charge $2400.00 or I could buy a entire unit for $6300.00 but he would work with me a bit on this price. Low and behold I do not have a leak and the unit is repaired! Liars!! Scam artists! I told him that I just wanted to think about it and to add some freon to it. He said my unit was down 3 1/2 pounds of freon and that the freon would cost me $75.00 a pound. Another overcharge!! I called a company while the GM was still at my house and received a quote of $30.00 a pound. It turns out that my unit was only down 2 pounds and like the other gentleman said in his review I wonder if my unit was somehow manipulated in April? Do not trust this company! I have one question for you Quality Air, how do you people sleep at night? Seniors and snowbirds especially beware!!

New unit and pump went out in 6 months. Went out again after few more. Under warranty but they charge to install. Crazy install cost doesnt save you money. Try to sell you everything under the sun and then threaten you with liability if you dont spend thousands. unless you enjoy being threatened, dont hire these guys. Lowest rating of all ac guys in the area and they deserve it.

Crooks! Told I needed 2 switches replaced at $150 each. Tested both switches after they left and both were good. Unit was still not working and they wanted another $730 plus on day one they sold me a service contract for $140.I had another AC company repair my unit. I was ripped off. Should have read the reviews before talking to them. BUYER BEWARE!

Nothing but con artists. They advised me I needed a new blower motor and it would be over $900.00 I said no way and then he said maybe I can get one for $600.00. I said absolutely not. I had another person come over and replaced a relay switch for $100.00. Never again will I call them... How they stay in business is beyond me.

BEWARE. THIS COMPANY IS BAD NEWS. 60 minutes should do a thorough investigation of their business practices. The people that work for them are professional con men. I recently had them come to check a cooling problem in November 2017. Not only did they overcharge me $969. for Maintenance they performed they did not fix the problem. I called them again in February 2018 and they explained my ducts needed insulating and sealed and I paid them an additional $904. In April of this year my unit again ceased to cool. I called to complain about there overcharging practices and there failure to fix the problem. They sent the same repairman out that had been here previously. His entire approach was to sell me a new unit for $5750. I obtained the services of an independent fellow who came out to the house and did a thorough inspection of the unit and air handler system. The problem was a leaking copper fitting which he replaced. Cost of repair was 150.00. The system is now functioning perfectly. The bottom line is that this company as stated in earlier reviews are nothing more than liars and crooks

I received a letter offering a limited time offer for $29.95 for an AC service. The appointment was set for about a week later between 11am and 1pm.On the day of the scheduled appointment I took time off work to be in attendance. At 12.50pm, I received a phone call saying that they needed to reschedule in a weeks time because the truck had broken down.I told them that I had taken time off work specifically for this appointment. Surely there must be more than 1 truck and why had they left it until 10 minutes before the end of the time window to let me know?I know things go wrong, but to call at such short notice, just expecting me to accept another appointment a week later and without trying to put someone else on the job at some time today (even if they have to pay overtime) is just not a company I want to do business with. Ill take my business elsewhere.I know what Ill tell others if I get asked too.Shame theyve lost a customer who probably would be spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars with them in the years ahead.

Contacted Quality Control Air/Sarasota last evening and after a few lightning strikes in the distance and suddenly my air conditioning unit outside started vibrating, making a very loud noise then went back to normal, but had no air. It was Sunday evening and their answering service picked up right away. She was very pleasant and took down the details and would have a technician get back to me. In no time I received a call back from Brandon, and he was out to my house within 15 - 20 minutes. I couldnt be happier with the service provided and cant thank my technician enough for his thoughtfulness and expert knowledge. I have been their customer now for about 3/4 years and couldnt be happier!!! Thank you!

I wanted to post a note about my recent negative experience with Quality Control Air in Port Charlotte. We are on a maintenance contract, and last week they came out for semi-annual maintenance. All of a sudden, after everything being fine, our system was so low on freon that our coils must be leaking and they would need 4000 to fix.Needless to say I got a second opinion. In short, they lied about the freon levels (unless some magically showed back), our system is not leaking. And they left the cap very loose, apparently (my assumption) as a possible cause of the supposed leak.The gloom and doom, immediate attention needed of Qualitys rep was obviously false. I just wanted to warn other citizens. Please look at the BBB if you want other reports of very shady service, I wish I had prior to signing a contract with them. Needless to say they will never be allowed in my home again.

Watch Out!This company has the worst customer service I have ever seen. They will tell you anything but the truth.Prior to checking their reputation (reviews) on the internet we received a quote for repairs on an a/c unit.We agreed to a price on a repair and they triple charged the amount to my credit card. When I brought it to their attention I was told to bring the copy of our statement to their office (like they have no records)and they would look into it. Almost two months later, after getting the run around, the boss is in a meeting routine, and the check is in the mail routine; I phoned the local police who called Quality Control Air and amazingly the next day the check was available for pick up at their office. Beware for any favorable reviews (self posted) this companies ethics are as low as it gets.

I bought a rheem aircondioner with a heat pump. My aircondioner is3and ahalf years old. My heat doesnt work when its cold out. I live in punta gorda. They are telling me heat pumps dont work when its cold outside. I talked to people that have heat pumps and 11 year old unit and it works. I have a ten year warranty. I have talked to4 ac people and they said impossible.I will have to get a lawyer since they wont fix my ac unit.

Im only giving one star because Google wont allow me to write a review otherwise.This company & the people working for them are nothing but liars! Weve had our new unit that we bought from them for just over a year. Within that year it has failed the county inspection 7 times!!! Every time someone comes out they claim we need this or that new part.Then to top it off there customer service is horrible to say the least! My ac went out on a Sunday night so I called to have them come fix it. Of course the guy had truck problems & wouldnt be able to make it out to us until late in the afternoon the day after. So my boyfriend & I called another AC company & they came out instantly. Fixed our problem within 5 minutes (they even mentioned how horrible Quality Air is as well) & were on there way. The next morning we went to grab McDonalds at 11am. We missed the guy somehow within the 20mins we were gone. So I called the front office & proceeded to be SCREAMED at for leaving when I had an appointment.This company is HORRIBLE! Never use them!!!

Have a 2 year contract with quality air since 2016 but when i call them, they said my contract has expired because i have another provider. I asked her why will i pay a company $150 for a 2 year contract n then go n get another company without my contract expiring. People stay away from quality air, they are cancelling contracts with lies. They are stealing from us n i will NEVER do service with them.
