I was at work when my wife made plans to get this installed. She assured me after I got home this was going to be finished work and it would only need a coat of paint to hide the duct. So I did not make an issue after hearing the high estimate of $12,XXX to be home in time the following day to ask questions. It is only a 1200 sq ft home. So for 12 grand it should be a flawless job. I think they took advantage of my wife and her mother because they have foreign accents and are trusting people. Not only did they not do carpentry work to hide the duct inside, the conduit outside is cheaply done. They shouldve hid the pipe in the rafters outside. I had hihats installed outside and the electrician hid the wire above the rafters but not the ac company. They only put in a single return vent in the same closet as the unit. Ive had 2 outside opinions to make sure I am not being unreasonable and they said there should be 2 to 3 returns for this system. With just one it sounds like an airplane taking off when it turns on. The system does work for the most part but it does not cool the house evenly. So yes they installed a system I would be ok with for the right price. But they charged us for a perfect job and clearly what we have is not perfect.

Completely replaced our AC and moved our air handler to the garage. Designed a new duct system to remove warm spots in Southern bedrooms.I had some issues with condensation at the air handler, but they have quickly sent out repair people twice to address the issue.

A week ago today, I was at my sons Pop Warner football practice complaining about how hot my house was. One of the other dads overheard me and told me he worked for Tommys. The next morning, a Friday, he was at my house at 7:30am. He put a plan in place, we signed paperwork and he told me a crew would be there on Monday to get started. Now today is exactly one week later from me complaining at practice and in that weeks time Tommys installed a complete new 5-ton beautiful system with new ducts, extra returns, extra registers and even blown in insulation! I am now sitting in my home office and enjoying the wonderfully cold air that I honestly did not think possible without replacing the slider and both windows. My whole house is absolutely the perfect temperature and I have a 10-year warranty to make sure I have this same level of comfort for the next decade. Alan was the Football dad/salesman/designer/life changer! My ducts were done by Zach and Juan. Didnt get the name of the installers and insulation guys, but every single person that I came in contact with from Tommys was a true pleasure on every level! The only thing I would change would have been to complain a little earlier so this could have happened months ago! It would not be possible for me to recommend any one more highly than I can recommended Tommys for anything related to Air Conditioning!

Our technician was Joseph. He is extremely knowledgeable and willing to explain everything to us. He really took his time inspecting every part of the system. We will definitely recommend your company!

The first repairman said we needed a whole new unit then we told him the unit was only 3 years old. Then he said it was something else which was 500.00 something for the part then this guy that just came out said it was the compressor before he even looked at the unit. He was only here for 10mn. He said he replaced the compressor and told us it was 318.75 never showed us the part and never told us how much it was. We looked up and a compressor takes 4-6 hrs to install. Plus they said the warranty on the air conditioner that was installed 3 years ago does not apply to us as we are different owners of the house. Will never use this company again!!!!☆☆☆☆situation has been rectified by the owner of the company ☆☆☆☆☆

Tommys is my go to for HVAC. Joseph was very professional conducting the annual service on our two units. On time, polite, clean. We had AC duct work issues. In February, Wade, came out and methodically accessed the air flow in the the house. He didnt try and sell me something. He took the time to understand the issue and then recommended changes to our duct work. A few day later, his crew performed the work. Our HVAC system has never worked better.

This is the best business around. I’ve called on my multiple occasions very late at night early in the morning doesn’t matter what time of day they are there!! 100% I’d say use this business you will not regret it fair price is great people wonderful service!

I am not impressed by service people easily. My annual service was beyond what I expected. The Tech was well prepared to make sure my A/C was going to give me another year of excellent service. Trust them. I do.

!st visit Tech didnt have equip. on truck. Charged for diag. 85.00. 2nd Visit charged Diag, freon, leak detect. told coil had leak, under warranty and under warranty confirmed this twice. Ultimately told COIL NOT under warranty. Office help needs PR training. Ended up getting second AND third opinion. Coil absolutely NO LEAKS!!!!!Once upon a time, TOMMYS was the BEST. Under another ownership Ive since been told. GOOD LUCK> OH, after questioning SECOND diagnostic charge, they removed. So gracious of them ?

I called and set up an appointment with Michelle to have our AC serviced for the first time since we are first time homeowners. She was as nice as nice could be and took the time to explain the different services and what goes into servicing an AC unit. I was thrilled with the service I received from here and that she was able to send someone out the next day!Allan was the tech that came to my home. He was polite, arrived on time and introduced himself as soon as I opened the door. He inspected my AC unit only to find that it needed to be replaced, BADLY. He took pictures of my unit and explained what was wrong and why it needed to be replaced. He also took the time to check the vents for any additional concerns that may have happened due to the shape of the AC unit and provided advice on what the best option was since there were so many.I asked a lot of questions and he was patient & understanding with my concerns when answering. I felt like he was speaking to me as a person and not a client/customer which went a long way.When making the decision to have to unit replaced he did not try to up sell me on anything or add any additional unneeded features or anything. A true professional putting me the customer first instead of a sale. He went to the ends to make sure we were set up correctly and got the most value for our dollar.When the two installers came out the next day to replace the unit, they were amazing as well. Unfortunately I did not catch their names but they were just as professional and took their time with installing the units and they also fixed the mistakes that were made when the original unit was installed. Thankfully they did that because their were a lot of mistakes that could have cost me a lot of money to fix in the future. After everything was installed, they walked me though the new unit, how to replace the filters and some other tips and tricks to keep the unit in good shape between service calls.Thank you again Tommys Air for your extreme professionalism starting at your front office all the way to the servicemen and installers that come into our homes. You have earned a customer for life and I will be referring everyone I know in the area to your business! Please be sure to go to the ends of the earth to keep Allan on your team! From the time I called the office until the time Kyle came out, I knew I was in good hands. The lovely lady in the office got me on service route the same day I called. I was a little concerned because our window of time came to a close & I hadn’t heard from anyone. As soon as I called the office, I was reassured that we were next on the list & Kyle would let us know he was on his way. Sure enough, I got a text & a phone call a few moments later. Kyle was able to fix our issue in the 90 degree weather even while my husband hovered over him like a giant vulture waiting for its prey. He got it all done in a timely manner & without hitting me up for a huge repair bill. Thank you all so much!

They did install in 2018. However we had an ultraviolet light system already so they did not put one in. Well the ultraviolet bulb burned out and we had mold glogging our drain pipes along with debris. Theron corrected the problem and installed new ultraviolet system. Just as a side note, always get the maintenance contract with install. Otherwise manufacturer may not honor the 10 year warranty. (We did not know this). Theron was very informative, fast and friendly.

I have never bothered to write a review of any service company. Fact is, I do 99% of all of my home, auto, and boat maintenance myself. Reluctantly, I agreed to have Tommys service my Father In Laws AC. I was truly impressed. Kyle showed up early, and he was courteous and professional. I am a retired Engineer, and he patiently answered all of my questions. Tommys has impressive, state of the are equipment for AC evaluation and Kyle hooked digital sensors up and linked readings directly to his tablet. He checked out precisely what it made sense to evaluate, processed a payment electronically, sent a text and email with the receipt, and was on his way. Great company, great rep.

We have used Tommy’s for many years. While we miss the original owner we are pleased with the service, expertise & professionalism of the new owners and all their workers.

I called on on a Wed night just after 5:30pm because my A/C wasnt cooling well, the system was 15yrs old and in bad need of a replacement, but I wanted to wait until the cooler months to have it replaced. The answering service put me in touch with Michell (the dispatcher/secretary) not real sure of her title. But after explaining my situation to her, she connected me with the Sr. Tech, Alan (maybe, not real sure, not very good with names). He said that he was in the area and could be there around 8pm. He arrived at 7:50 pm. He then further explained to me what was wrong with my system and understood that I was interested in installing a new one, he explained that they offered a financing program that was 0% interest for 48 months. I didnt realize you could finance a new system so I was sold at that point and we proceeded to discuss my options. I was immediately approved for the financing and he helped me decide on a system that was perfect for my home, RA16 5ton and RV1H air handler from Rheem. I was expecting to have to wait at least a couple of days and possibly longer due to the current Covid situation, but Tommys A/C planned ahead and increased their inventory to better serve their customers. They had the units available and again I thought I would be waiting a few days for installation, but as it turns out their installation crews are very knowledgeable, professional, and efficient at what they do, so I was scheduled the next morning for them to arrive at 8:30am to install my new A/C. They arrived at 8:26am and got right to work. They completed the entire installation in about 5 hours, to include clean up. When they were finished the only way that I knew that they had done anything was that my home was cool and comfortable. This company is the best and they proved it with their service, professionalism, and expertise. I felt like I was their top priority and only customer.

Initial installation of a motor when wrong. This happened twice. I was without a working AC for over 2 weeks. Inspite of what happened, Tommy AC techs were very knowledgable, friendly and respectful. Things happen some times and I do not hold that against your company. Also due to what happened TOMMY. AC awarded us with a fair reduction in the price of service and installation. Tommys work is top notch. All that Ive spoken to have been extremely professional. Their Techs arrive when they say they will, are very polite and know their craft. They honor their promises. Sometimes they are just a little slow with followup, which can be a little frustrating, but not enough to warrant a bad review or lack of trust in their work. We will have Tommys do our annual inspections.

My service tech was the best I’ve ever had

Our AC went out on a Sunday afternoon during the recent heat wave. So I chose Tommys based on the Google Review score and comments. The repair technician showed up within 2 hours of calling which was acceptable late on a Sunday. Unfortunately, my faulty motor was under warranty so they arent allowed to carry it on the truck with them and must get it from the supplier directly. The technician said he would put the order in the next morning and that we should know if the part is available by around 11 Monday morning. By noon, I had received no call or notification so I called them and was directed to the dispatcher. After being transferred, I got a voicemail and left a message to call me back with an update. By 1 pm, I still hadnt heard anything so I called again. I got the dispatcher on the phone who happened to be on the line with the supplier so she put me on hold for 10 min only to come back and tell me she has to wait for the supplier to let them know if they have the part (even though she was already actively talking to them). She told me she would call me back once they got confirmation that the supplier had the motor. By 3:30 pm, I still had not received any calls so my wife called and spoke to the dispatcher again who now admitted that she got confirmation that they had the part and that we were scheduled for the 1 to 5 pm window for installation. She said I would be contacted to narrow the window. Keep in mind the heat index today was 104. However, the tech showed up at exactly 4:58 pm but I still never received a phone call telling me anything. We had to initiate every phone call. I get that things are busy during days of extreme heat and on Mondays after a busy weekend, but their communication with customers who are suffering could have been much better for nothing else other than peace of mind. The technicians that they sent were knowledgeable, respectful and effective and it only took 10 min to diagnose and another 20 min to fix the AC. I hate that I had to pay $355 for diagnosis and labor for a part under warranty but it is what it is. And while it sucks to be without AC for 24 hours during the heat of the summer, it wouldve been manageable had they communicated better. I shouldnt have to call 3 times to find out if they were able to get the part. And the dispatcher shouldnt promise she will call me back (twice) when she was obviously too busy to do that. Over promising is one of the worst customer service habits and if she cant handle the number of phone calls, the company needs to provide someone else to help. While ultimately they did a good job with the service, I would be hard pressed to recommend them for the communications reason alone. In summary, the technicians were excellent but because they left us wondering the status of the order all day, I give them an overall meh total score. If my expectations had been managed better, I wouldve left a 4 or 5 star review. I will likely try another company next time.

Tommy’s Air Conditioning did a exceptional job. Being a Sunday on the Independence day weekend they fast response and professional work ethic saved the day for us. All works again like new and their price was reasonable too.

Be careful with this company. They gave my neighbor a quote of $4,700. Dollars to fix his air conditioning. Before he went ahead with the fix I had my a.c. repair man come to his house just for a second opinion. After replacing two double a batteries in the thermostat its been working great for two weeks now. Free of charge of course. I cant say the company knew about this but the name on the card is wade l. So just be careful when choosing a company.

Grossly overpriced get a 2nd opinion I cut there estimate in half and they could not locate original installation paperwork for warrantee.... found out they they never registered the unit with manufacturer

They have been servicing my business for a number of years, and last week, when my AC quit on a 92 degree day, they were there promptly, and took care of my system repair so that I did not have to inconvenience my customers. Service like this is hard to find, especially here in Florida. I would not hesitate to recommend Tommys Air Conditioning.

A service call indicated that my 16 year old Rheem unit was one foot in the grave. I authorized a replacement unitThe techs were there at 9 am next morning and were there for 6 hours plus. Labor Day weekend is hardly the ideal time for the air conditioning system to fail, but we woke up on Saturday to a very warm house. I called Tommys and they were here within 90 minutes, and fortunately, had the correct part in their warehouse, came back and installed it a couple of hours later. Saved our Sunday (and tomorrow, Monday). It seems that the man who did the work was the actual owner, too....How special is THAT...? I would highly and gladly recommend Tommys Air Conditioning.
