I contacted Cliffs AC as my neighbor has yes them to have A unit installed bd had a good response. So we went with their recommendation. We are 1200 miles away and did everything over the phone. Talked to Carol and Barbara who helped set our install up. Very pleasant to work with. 2 day install and up and running. Cliffs AC lived up to their name and quality. Would recommend them to anyone.

Do Not Use this Company.In March 2021, the owner, Jeff Cliff, quoted the unit for our house. The AC company is the expert in what is needed, so we went with what he suggested.While it was being installed, I questioned the installation team (a very young team, btw), asking if it was the correct size since the year prior I was told that the inside part of the unit might not fit in the current space, yet the unit they brought fit very easily in the space. They acknowledged everything was the correct size.In June, as it started to get hot in Florida, the unit fan shut off and it started to get hot inside our home. We turned off the unit and called Cliffs for Service. The repair person came out when the sun was down and stated the unit was fine and sometimes the fans do that; stop for a second for whatever reason.The air conditioning unit has continued to lag, particularly during the times of 3pm to 7pm, causing it to never get cool in our house. We arent even asking for our house to be cold. We set the temperature at 78 degrees, but in the afternoon the unit cannot take the heat and our house increases in temperature to the mid-80s.Recently, another technician came out and opined that the unit that had been quoted was too small. He admitted that sometimes the person quoting takes the lazy way out and re-quotes what was previously there and does not factor in the age of the house, windows, building material and possibly new square footage. Our prior unit was 20 years old and our house had been remodeled by former owners.I was told hed review this issue with the owner of the company (the guy who quoted our unit) and theyd get back to me. Tick tock Tick tock. No one called. I called them.The owner told me it wasnt his problem and that we approved what he quoted so we are stuck without offered resolution from Mr. Cliff.DO NOT TRUST THEM. DO NOT USE THEM.

Great company, great service. We had our ac system replaced and needed a few ducts replaced as well. The crew arrived on time, followed proper covid precautions, left everything cleaned up. After they left, one of our rooms felt too cold while another was too warm, so they came back a few days later to install a damper at no cost. They explained how to use it and even left a little wrench for us to adjust it as needed. We will definitely use Cliff’s again when we need ac service.

Courteous young men, thorough and clean job, weve used Cliffs at every one of our residents and totally recommend them. BTW I rarely give a 5 star but they probably deserve it

I have used cliffs for years for service at different houses Ive lived in and their service has always been great. I just had Cliffs replace my entire system and I couldnt be happier. They showed up on time and Cody, the lead tech, the first thing he did was introduce himself to me and asked if I had any questions. What a pleasure to start off our relationship in such a way. They did everything that was promised and were very professional. They also recorded the serial and model numbers for all equipment on my receipt and they registered all equipment with manufacturer for warranty. They go the extra mile, I definitely recommend.

During a recent cold snap she could not get her heat to come on so she called your office. A technician was sent out and he discovered that the switch just needed to be set to heat. I happened to call my mother while the gentleman was there and he asked if he could speak with me. He told me what he had done and had a genuine concern for my mothers well being. Thank you for being honest and not taking advantage. Ive had other family members that have dealt with other companies and have been told they needed a new system when in reality all they needed was a $50.00 part. I can not thank you enough and will be sure to tell this story to whoever will listen. You should be proud of your employee and yourselves. Well done!

From the first call with Barb, the service was polite, cheery, knowledgeable, everything you expect from an AC Co.The tech Geff was very informative, knew exactly what needed to be done and did it in about an hr.& I had cool air when he left.In the past had some horrific experiences with ac cos so its difficult to trust anyone, but they regained this confidence that there are still some great businesses out here in FL.Thank you!!

Recently bought a home with a maintenance warranty from this place already paid for. A huge plus for a new homeowner. Called once our A/C had some issues and was told our maintenance warranty was no longer valid as we were not the original buyers of the warranty and they no longer serviced our area (even though they had been here just a couple of months ago and wrote on the paper they’d be back for the next service in May). Don’t give your money to a company that doesn’t stand by their maintenance agreements.

I have to say that the employees are very friendly and genuinely courteous. I will definitely use them again for my own service needs, the call today is for my old rental that the A/C went out on. Hopefully no new issues at new rental, if so I know who I’m calling for service without hesitation !

The first thing I need to say is, Its the best customer service I have ever received. I called on Thursday and explained that my Father-in-law was ill and on hospice care. He was here within 1/2 hr. Checked everything out with my husband. As it turned out the old one was on its last leg. We needed a new one. He gave us the price. It was very reasonable. The deal was made. He understood the urgency in the situation. He had a crew in early the next morning. Than someone else showed up with a portable air unit so that we could keep Dads room cool. Plus great install crew. These gentleman rocked and I would recommend them every time. Thank You Cliffs. You are appreciated.

When my air conditioning unit went out over a weekend, Cliffs had someone there within 15 minutes. They replaced by unit within the next two days. Their response was incredible. I can highly recommend them!

Ive used Cliffs since the early 2000s. What has always impressed me, in addition to the level of service your receive, they never try to sell you something that you dont need. I schedule preventative maintenance twice/year with Cliffs and always call them if something should need a repair. Theyre reasonable, prompt and do great work!

I only have great praise for Jeff and his staff. When my A/C went out Jeff came out that same day to evaluate the problem. Being on disability makes it difficult to save money for any major expenses but Jeff was on it right away. Not only did Jeff and his staff replace my whole A/C unit inside and out he was able to help me finance the complete unit. The complete staff at Cliff’s A/C and heating are some of the most professional, honest and dependable people I have had the pleasure of working with. Be careful....this is a complete and total.Bait & Switch.I was calling for Port Charlotte Air Conditioning, my regular A/C Company, and when I called the advertised number, was intercepted by Cliffs A/C, who I had never heard of before. They tried several times to set me up with an appointment with them....even thought I told them I was looking for Port Charlotte Air. Then refused to give me the correct number. The ad is below. Even though the name says Port Charlotte Air, the phone number is Cliffs Air. This is deceitful and illegal. I never leave reviews, but in this case Buyer Beware.

A great experience working with Cliff from long distance. Im in MA and they replaced my AC in FL, All with a friend in FL opening the condo for them. They were on time, finished in a timely manner, and billed me over the phone. They were highly recomended by friends in FL and I would highly rfecomend them too, even the ladies on the phone were great!

They do a great job of servicing what they sell. They also respond quickly when you need them, important when you live in Florida and depend on AC.

Not very happy with this company, they were called out to fix my ac system that is older and before even looking into the issue they immediately diagnosed the system to need replacement... After being pressured into diagnosing it they got the system running with new capacitors and tightening wiresYes they got the older system up and running once they had proposed a replacing the entire unit but Im feeling like theyd rather fish for the big money jobs than the actual needed services!Now the system froze up, and again they pushed replacing the entire system saying that the pump was bad and cannot be fixed. I wasnt happy with that so I got a second opinion and the owner of the other company fixed some wires, checked the refrigerant pressures, cleaned the drain and cleaned inside the air handler and now the system works like new!I dont aim to ruin anyones reputation but I dont like being taken advantage of... I believe in honesty and good business practices and I hope this business can improve because theyve lost my business!

I was referred to this company by my realtor and they quoted AC replacement at a vacation home I purchased. They set up a time to install the units and when I called to cancel because other quotes were $1200 less, the woman who answered the phone yelled at me, hung up, and when I called back she told me she was the owner and I was doing bad business by cancelling my order. Awful customer service.
