Had a lovely manicure but I felt she rushed it so quick. I was out in less than 30 minutes. Seemed she rushed it so much that I had a bubble under the nail under the UV lamp. This is a picture from less than 24 hours after the appointment. The bubble bursted and now there’s a hole in the polish. Really disappointed because I used to love this salon. I would definitely recommend going somewhere else for a gel manicure.

Ive been coming to Dee at Zen nails for over two years now and Im always happy and my nails always look awesome and healthy. I dont like boring and Dee helps me choose fun designs and colors and has great ideas when I cant decide. The music is relaxing and all the girls are friendly... and so cute;)

Generally comfortable and clean, and friendly staff. I got a full set of acrylics and got one hand done, then was passed off to another tech. The first hand was pretty good with shape and volume, the second hand’s nails are thick and uneven. The base color is great, but the art is so so. Granted, she had to free hand it, so it’s still pretty good.

Eewww! I went here a few times for fills and a full set. but Today i decided to go somewhere else bc Zen nails was a bit of a drive. The man at the other salon today started to take off my polish when my jaw dropped. Some of my nails were green and black under the acrylics. I asked him to instead take off all the acrylics. Zen nails gave me a fungal infection because they don’t properly clean their tools. Everytine I went to zen nails, the drill bits were NEVER clean. Now I have to go the the doctor and get medication because of their lack of respect for MN laws. Never going here again.

My experience with Jessie at Zen nails was AWESOME!!! I went in with a photo of what I wanted and changed my mind about the gel nail tip color 3 TIMES but Jessie was patient, kind and did an excellent job. I drove from Saint Paul to go here and it was worth it! I cant wait to go back for my gel pedicure with her this Friday!!! Absolutely love my nails and my daughters nails. Ive been to other salons in the area and end up settling - only to change them within a week. I tried this salon out and was very impressed. It was pretty busy, which was a good sign. I liked the brochure that was at the front of the salon. It made me feel like I could choose what was best for me without being pressured into spending more money. The nail technician even gave me some education on nail health and why gel is good for some clients and bad for others. I should also mention, there is a very large variety of colors and styles to choose from. The price was perfect too. 5 stars and a happy customer. Ill be ditching the previous salons and coming back here!

I go along with my wife for pedicures- yes pedicures are awesome- I don’t have to break my back cutting my feet.. Zen staff are great, friendly - and what I come accustomed to expect. My cost $35 ($5more than usual) The place has 8 pedicure chairs and 10 manicure tables- a bit cramped. I did like the store and the staff. Great place!

I went in for a dipped manicure and gel pedicure and was really surprised at the excellent service, clean shop, and numerous colors to choose from! I loved my experience and I am going back in today, one month later, to get another manicure. That’s right, a month! And that was after a Vegas trip, trips to the pool, and moving! I love my manicure now and I am sure I’ll love the next one!

Absolutely unreal customer service! Im a high maintenance customer I will admit, and I definitely dont review often however this place has blown me away! Ive been getting acrylic nails and designs for 5 years in the Plymouth/ maple grove area all the way to uptown and downtown, and I will never go another place besides Zen nails again. each staff member greeted me and every customer after immediately as they walked through the door. They are all kind and professional and make you feel so welcome. The manager Jessie- there are no words besides for AMAZING! professional, sweet, did an incredible job on my nails, the salon easily has over 500 color options with the most updated and in trend designs from chrome, to mood changing, you name it shes got it. The prices are absolutely reasonable - I expected it to be more for how high class the service was. The salon itself is absolutely gorgeous and very well kept, clean, has such a welcoming ambiance. So happy I found zen nails moving back to Plymouth!

Got the Deluxe Pedicure, one of the mid-line pedicures they offer, and it was amazing!! Cant even imagine how nice the Heavenly pedicure they offer is! I have had a lot of pedicures in my day and this was by far the best. They actually take the time to massage and dont rush through it. I will definitely be back!!

This place does a great job. I had a set of acrylics put on by another nail salon and didnt like the shape/ quality. Jessie did a wonderful job shaping my nails, and also manages the salon very well. Gel Pedicure was great!!!!Gel manicure, not so great. After working on letting my nails grow... I specifically said I didn’t want them filed down, just shaped. Before I knew it they were all filed short. While trimming my cuticles the associate cut my finger, finally stopped the bleeding only to continue the polish application with no apologies OR discount. Paid $70 and will never go back. Paid more attention to the people coming in the door than the ones they’re working with.My 9 year old granddaughter could do better with her home gel kit!

They are super fast in their work so the dipping powder nails for hands are not buffed properly.They need to improve the quality of there work along with the fast work.

I tried this place because of the good reviews. 20-40min wait, even for people with appointments. Pedicure was ok. Manicure was awful. The clear coat on my fingernails never dried (20min under the drier), so I just wiped it off. My nails were poorly trimmed and rough. Definitely not worth the price. I wont go back. There are plenty of other nail salons that do a better job.

I used to rave about this place to everyone but they keep getting worse and worse. I got a dip powder manicure and half way through cleaning my cuticles, the tech goes you have a lot of cuticles. If you want me to clean them really good, it will be $5 more. I politely declined and she went back to working on my nails. She filed my nails completely uneven and I kept telling her to fix them and she was getting an attitude and even let out a huge sigh of annoyance. I was with a friend and her nail tech didnt even clean her nails at all. So as we were paying, I noticed that I got charged $45 and she got charged $40 and we did the same dip powder manicure. I called my tech and asked her why my manicure was $45 and she said because she cleaned my nails. I clearly told her I was NOT interested in the $5 more clean up of cuticles. Again, another sigh of annoyance but I was refunded and only charged $40. This place does not respect the customers and only want your money. With unevenly shaped nails and stained skin from the dipping powder I write this review to tell you to find a better nail salon. Spend your money elsewhere.

Was looking for a new nail place. Was excited to find this gem only a few blocks from where I now live. I followed the reviews and was not disappointed. Easy to get a walk in appointment even though pretty busy. Waited maybe 5 min, but got a massage chair and soaked my feet while I waited, so cant complain about a few extra minutes. Opted for the spa pedicure and the hot towel and massage were great. I sometimes feel shorted with the foot/leg massage but was a decent time and great pressure. I like gel, and they had a huge variety to choose from, hard to pick just one. Plan to come back again and try the new powder gel they have available for manicures, no UV lights needed! Very friendly staff as well.

Just went here for the first time and had a great experience! Was recommended to go here by a friend, so I decided on a whim to try it out. Nikki did a wonderful job on my manicure and pedicure; she listened to what I wanted and didnt try to upsell me (it bothers me when they do that at every turn!). I was able to unwind and left the salon with great looking nails. Will return here again!

My friend had made an appointment for 5 of us at 10:00 on a Sunday way in advance, even though they open at 11. We are all there at 10, and no one is inside the place. We wait about 5-10 minutes and decide to try back. We come back at 10:45, and the chairs were all filled with people with the place clearly open. We received no apology for the situation, and now had to experience separate appointments instead of one together like we wanted. On a positive side it was a quicker appointment once we finally got in.

First time here and I will be back. I got liquid gel nails with gel polish and I love them. The place is very clean and decorated well. I also got a deluxe pedicure which was also nice. Id wished they would have worked a little more on my calluses and feet though. Polish looked great!

Went in for a pedicure and it was great. Went back a week later for a gel manicure and it was terrible. Then days later when I went online to my checking account, I noticed I was overcharged for both! I used a credit card both times, drew a line through the tip line and wrote in the total, because I gave a cash tip both times. The pedicure was supposed to be $30 and I was charged $35, and the manicure was supposed to be $30 and I was charged $32! I disputed the charges. I rarely write reviews, but want others to know about this - illegal business practices!

I went there to get gel nails and the next day one of my nails snapped and another chipped. Went in and they fixed them both free of charge which was amazing. However, now 6 days later another nail chipped. The gel nails are not hard and very soft.

They did a great job on my nails. I was an original Nails and Company customer. But this nail salon is more upscale and offers better customer service.

I did acrylic nails here but they were too thick and after a couple of days 1 fell off. Then 2 weeks later 3 fell and I had to go to another place to fixed them. I would not go back to zen nails. Waste of money

I used to love this place and havent had problems. Its affordable and usually good quality. I figured since Ive been before and it has been amazing I would bring some friends. But recently I went with a few friends and we all a day later had chipped nails. I got regular polish and they never dried. My toes were chipped the day after as well. One friend got jel Polish and they are bumpy bubbly and very chipped after just daily wear. The other girl got acrylics and they are filled with bubbles. I can hardly understand anyone who works there and wouldnt recommend this place for more than a cheap manicure/pedicure. I guess you get what you pay for.

Today I had my first appointment at Zen. The positive was the shape, extra cleaning under the nails. The negative- usually wash and scrub after they are done with all the pre-work. Cleaning was done at the end of appointment. Why???? Had asked for a cream colored polish, I have a purple colored grey. For $40.00 plus tip not happy.. May try again- but not sure

I got a full acrylic set done there and i lost a nail within a week of getting them done. Thr quality of the work was very poor. They are rather expensive and I was under the impression that the total would only be 40 dollars. When I went to pay he said it was 50 bucks and that was with the student discount!!!! The guy was extremely careless. Complained about me not holding my hand out correctly and that I was messing him up. I asked for coffin shape and ended up with half my nails still a square shape. I asked for him to reshape them but they still turned out bad. I complained about having to pay extra for a shape i didnt even get. I regret the whole experience

The manager there is very calloused and rude. They way I got treated in there was horrible. I was so impraressed that I started to cry. They nickel and dime you for everything. Some of there gel nail polish is 15 extra bucks and some is 20 ( because they have to use more coats cat eye is 15 plus an extra five because they have to take an extra min to do it.) That is crazy. You are already paying extra for the gel then they add to it. My length of nails is not long yet they charged me 5 extra bucks. On two of my nails I had tiny gems they charged me 4 bucks a nail( only 7 on each finger and they where tiny). I told the nail tec that she was putting my nails on and they where leaning to the left she said she could fix it. Instead of just popping it off and doing it again she continues then when I show her again she got an attitude because she was almost done. Not my fault. Listen to your customer they pay good money for your service not your attitude.

The first time I got my nails done they were terrific I love them but this last time I went in there and my nails turned out horrible my right side is shorter than the other And my nails were done very sloppyI wanted to get them re-done but I didn’t have time to sit there and get them done again

Tell me why they charged me $60 for a full set gel nails???! And she didn’t even do that good of a job. I’ve been to places that charge me half the price and do a better job. Never coming back

This nail salon is frequented by many patrons, but they are still able to accept walkins for manis and pedis without much waiting. The salon has a modern contemporary look that is clean and relaxing. Staff is nice and does an excellent job. The gel finished pedicures will last for months. Enjoy!
