I was asked to pay a security deposit to see the lease and when I got the lease they had unrealistic expectations for insurance to be held by the tenant beyond typical renter’s insurance. I told them I would not be signing the lease and that I wanted my security deposit refunded as a result and they kept my money without my agreement to a non refundable security deposit. Do not rent from this company unless you want to have almost a grand stolen from you. They are highly unprofessional and are essentially scam artists.

We have had a great experience in our apartment for 5 years. Recently, we had to deal with a very stressful situation regarding another tenants behavior in the middle of the night outside our bedroom window. We were incredibly impressed with the response from the landlord.However, theyre still landlords. They expect you to not just pay for the carpet cleaning between tenants, but to arrange it as well. Even though cleaning between tenants is obviously the landlords job.

Extremely disappointed in how this complex handled our move out. When we moved in there were different shades of grey paint all over, a hole in the wall in the bathroom, wasn’t freshly cleaned, we didn’t have a washer for a month and still had to pay full rent for an in unit washer amenity we didn’t even have access to. We decided to move out after our lease due to not having jobs yet in our new state we had to extend our lease and didn’t know our start dates. Once found we realized we would only be in the apartment for 7 days. Attempted to negotiate rent and was forced to pay full rent for staying 7 days In July. Lastly move out instructions were to paint and patch walls that stuff hung on. We acquired the specific paint we were told to get, patch and smoothed all holes and painted the apartment better than what we moved into and somehow they still managed to deduct $700 from our security deposit for painting. They will find any way they can to get your money and are incapable of compromise. Extremely disappointed in my year there.

412 Living is an excellent rental company. We lived in one of their charming apartments for almost 4 years. We had our kitchen immaculately renovated and enjoyed in-unit laundry. All maintenance requests were acknowledged in a timely manner and everyone from 412 Living was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this company!

We lived at the Print Shop Lofts for 4 years. Rachael, Dan, and Kevin were always so kind and helpful. Any maintenance concerns were addressed within 1 day. The building and external areas were always clean. I would highly recommend properties managed by them.

I rented from 412 Living multiple times. Their properties were priced well, acted very professional, and handled any maintenance promptly. I highly recommend them to others.

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. There are several reasons why.#1- our rental property is very poorly insulated. That means in the downstairs portion which includes a living room and a kitchen is very difficult to use for 6+ months because it is too cold in the wintertime.#2- for $2000 a month, we consistently (every month) run into issues with our appliances including dishwasher, disposal, washer and dryer. The house is built as cheaply as it can be while meant to “look nice/luxurious“ superficially.#3- most recently 412living threatened us with the bill to fix their appliances that were poorly installed and or dysfunctional. Remember we pay over $2000 a month to live here.Avoid this management and their properties at all costs. We are so thankful to be moving out soon. Way overpriced for Pittsburgh with a souless management company.

Very responsive and willing to work with their clients. Made finding an apartment easy! I moved from out of town and they facetimed with me multiple times to make sure I saw I was able to see the apartment.

412Living is outstanding. I couldnt have asked for a better apartment in Shadyside. We enjoyed a newly renovated kitchen and in-unit laundry machines. The owners and staff are very caring and the customer service is impressive. All of our concerns and repair requests were attended to within 1 day. I highly recommend renting from this reliable company.

Shadyside is such an amazing place to live! So much fun, food, culture, and experiences to be had. 412living made my apartment a special place to call my home for many years. Highly recommended quality company on all fronts!

We have been living in one of the apartments of 412 and I have to say unfortunately that they are incredibly pricy for what you get. I think that they are mostly that the apartment looks nice but the quality is actually quite poor. I really would stay away from them!

My wife and I have lived in numerous apartment buildings throughout Pittsburgh and the management at 412 Living trumps them all. Only wonderful experiences here at the Print Shop Lofts, Dan the owner and Kevin our maintenance guy are both incredibly timely in response to maintenance requests and are always pleasant to speak with. I wish I could give them 10 stars because in all honesty they deserve all 10. You will not regret leasing with 412 Living!

My transition from NYC to Pittsburgh would have not been nearly as joyous without 412Living. I always felt safe knowing how important security is for Dan et al. The building (Jane St.) was habitually clean and the staff (though compared to a NYC bldg.) is limited in number of staff, are extremely helpful, friendly, quick and efficient. Everything you need within reason 412Living will provide. They were forever caring, full of concern, and respectful. They take pride in their buildings and have worked hard to provide attractive spaces. In fact I never would have left except to buy a house. I miss them and Im happy to say I maintain contact with them and if I ever should sell my house Ill go back to 412Living.

All great things!1. 12th Street in South Side shocked us. It felt safer being a bit out of the main bar scene, more neighborhood-like, quieter, and convenient.2. Rachael, the landlord, is super nice and the team is very efficient with getting any repairs done quickly. The price was a little higher than our budget, but it was very reasonable for what you got (remodeled space, great service, and low utilities). It was a relaxing living situation, compared to our experience living in older apartments beforehand. I definitely recommend 412 Living.
