Changed the property manager for student housing a week before the lease was up. Contact information (phone number) for new manager was not given until manager had an issue. Online portal system is not user friendly. Lack any type of understanding when we first signed up for the online portal to pay rent. Charged excessive fee despite paying as soon as automated pay mistake was realized. Beware automated paying system does not automatically pay the water fee for the last month of the lease which is only about 8 days. They are quick to jump on charging the fee and definitely are pocketing money from many tenants. Definitely need to work on customer service as it does not exist especially with Matt

Very professional company, no issues when I lived in their apartments. JoEllen was friendly and easy to communicate with for any questions or concerns. Maintenance issues were handled promptly and Neal, the maintenance person who responded for my apartment, was always helpful. The only real con was the quality of the rental for the price, however, this is nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to student housing in Oakland.

The office manager was absolutely TERRIBLE to work with. He is taking money from our security deposit for cleaning that was not necessary. He is claiming that he staff was not in the wrong. The landlord did the walk through and said everything was great now when I call them out because I’m being charged $100 the office manager wants to get nasty with me. Took over 1 week to get my maintenance issues fixed. Sink was backing up because other apartments put grease down the drain and I had to suffer with a 4 month old baby and was out a kitchen sink for 1 week. I would NOT recommend this company!

The property managers are professional but the owner is not. No communication. Owner is very unrofessional especially with the staff.

Robb Real Estate is the most professional real estate company I have ever used. Jo Ellen was so pleasant and worked with me on several issues that came up in my time renting. Highly recommend them for your renting needs.

Ive been a renter forever. I am not resourceful enough to handle maintenance nor do I want to, thats why I rent instead of buying. I am a long term renter too, so I look for properties for long term, at least 7 years if not longer. Thanks for Robb Real Estate, I have the greatest house EVER. Seriously, everyone that sees it says, this is the greatest house ever. But lets not talk about the house, lets talk about Robb Real Estate.The house was clean, painted and PERFECT when I received the keys. Everything was handled seamlessly.If I want to know about the realtor, the greatest indication is my first contact. That was Michelle. In all my years, I have never encountered such an honest person. She is amazing, caring, and was as excited as I was about me getting the house. She knew I fell in love with the place and was there every step of the way. Michelle has been helpful and proficient and no request is too small. When I couldnt figure out how to turn on the furnace, (Dont make fun, I really didnt know how) she offered to send over a maintenance man. Because I was embarrassed to have him come over, she had him talk to me over the phone and walked me though it.Speaking of maintenance, Jeremy is the best.Recently, there was an accidental water problem with the tub that resulted in a mess. Not only was the issue addresses in HOURS (And it would have been sooner had I not requested they come after 10AM) it was addressed professionally. Jeremy explained what happened and how he was going to fix it. He entered my home with respect. He was the most polite and personable maintenance guy I have ever met. Not only that, because it was the first time he had been at the property, he did a check of the furnace and other safety checks for me.Really? That was above, beyond and appreciated. The property is solid and Robb Real Estate made sure of that.While these two have been my only employee interaction with Robb Real Estate, they are a superb representation. I hope to be with the company for years to come. Outstanding work.

Rented from Robb Real Estate for the past 3 years. The company, apartment and staff (especially JoEllen) have been terrific. Any questions or apartment issues were addressed right away. I have nothing but good things to say about my time renting with Robb Real Estate.

I rented from Robb Real Estate for 2 years. From the application process and moving in to leaving the property it was a great experience. The property manager, JoEllen Burns was easy to reach at anytime. I had only one maintenance issue where my water heater needed replaced. It happened on a Sunday. I had an appointment and could not be there for the replacement. I left for a few hours and when I got home the new water heater was installed and you could not even tell that anyone had been at the property. I loved my apartment in Sharpsburg. Thank you JoEllen. You are a wonderful person as well as a property manager.

Beyond happy with my decision to rent from these guys. I had an issue with my windows, I emailed them, and I had someone here to get measurements in TEN MINUTES for new windows. And when they were installed, the guys who did the work were extremely kind and respectful and they did an excellent job. They also did extra work in my apartment on things I was having issues with but didn’t even tell them about!The only thing I could ask for one of the parking spots behind the building. On the waitlist but taking a little while:/ I drive a lot so I’m really just sick of street parking and stuff.

My family and I rented a home from Robb Real Estate for approximately 5 years. We loved our home, its location, and how we were treated by the company. If we were ever in need of maintenance, it was always in a timely manner. They were always a call away, even on the weekends.   Due to unseen circumstances we had to relocate abbrutly.  The team at Robb made the transition smooth. They were very understanding, fair, and helped us through our situation. I would highly recommend them and I have to several people.  Thank you Dan, JoEllen, and Neal. We will certainly miss you guys.

I am currently leasing an apartment on South Oakland from Robb Real Estate for the 2017-2018 school year. JoEllen, my property manager, has been extremely courteous and answers quickly via email and phone. She answers all of my questions promptly and sends maintenance when necessary. Although the rent is a little pricy, the lease agreement leaves no surprises. I would recommend Robb Real Estate to students looking to lease an apartment in Oakland.

As a realtor myself, I can only imagine how awful this company is. My current tenants were once tenants of Robb Real Estate and the horror stories that Ive heard about this company are absolutely absurd. After reviewing a contract that they had utilized I was floored with the deliberate lies and unprofessional use of power. I HIGHLY suggest staying as far away as possible from this company.

Ive been renting from Robb Real Estate for nearly five years and have never had an issue. Any repairs weve needed have been taken care of within a day or two maximum. Folks there are very responsive.

Horrible business! They hire absolute idiots! They make up their own rules, and if you ask for a supervisor or email for a supervisor they will refuse to give you anything. They are a conniving manipulative business! Never ever rent off of them! BRENTWOOD TOWN HOMES ARE THE WORST!

Yeah they raised our rent 16 percent first year they managed our apartments !!
