As a relatively new resident at City Vista, I have had nothing but positive experiences with the complex. The management is extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I had one maintenance request following move-in which was addressed within 12 hours and followed-up on as well. The rooms are lovely with great appliances. The Clubhouse on the complex is a great addition with a beautiful pool, clean fitness room, and coffee/ tea bar. I highly recommend City Vista to young professionals looking for an area close to downtown with easy access to I376!

I love living at City Vista. It’s perfect for any young professional. The apartments are modern and up to date, the amenities like the pool, fire pit, and gym are fun to hang out at with friends, and the staff are always so nice and accommodating. It’s close enough to the city that everything is a quick uber ride away but also far enough out that you’re not in the middle of all the craziness of the city. Best part about it is you feel very safe. 10/10 recommend to anyone moving to the city or just young professional.

City Vista is the perfect place for anyone new to the Pittsburgh area. I recently moved here from out of state sight unseen, I could not be happier. The residence has an amazing staff to include the maintenance and front desk associates. Since living here I have had no complaints and anytime there is a request it is fixed within a day or two. City Vista feels like you do not live in the hectic city but can be there in no time. I would recommend living here to anyone!

We have just finished our first month at City Vista and I have to say it is worth the rent! The place is very spacious, with a nice kitchen. I have not found any bugs or other animals like I have experienced living downtown. If you dont mind the tunnel traffic, the commute is not bad to center city (5 to 10 mins, depending on time of day).People are extremely friendly here, more of a community then other higher-end apartment complexes in Pittsburgh. And I my main like is the cost of living, cheaper due to the location, but in my opinion, worth it.

I moved in at the end of august 2020 and many months later I am still just as pleased as when I signed the lease. Every time I have had a question or a concern they have responded very timely and with every maintenance request, it was done within the same day. I have a 2 bed and 2 bath here at city vista and it is definitely enough space for me, a roommate and her mini goldendoodle! Another advantage for me is where the apartment complex is located, it is so convenient how you can jump on the highway in minutes! I also love how much pride the apartment managers take in this place and make it a great home for us all! Have recommended this place to many people and will continue to do so!

I have lived here for about two years now in both a 3 bedroom and currently a 2 bedroom. The apartments are very spacious and are much more modern than many other buildings in the city. Have had several issues including problems with the garbage disposal, showers, etc, but the maintenance team has always responded to said issues within 24 hours from ticket submission. The proximity to the city is amazing and one of the main reasons why I chose to live here. The secluded area is well-lit at night and as a woman in college, I have never felt unsafe walking to my car at night to leave for work.My only complaint, which is probably something beyond control, is the pool hours during this past summer due to COVID restrictions. The pool is open when the office is open, which was pretty inconvenient on Sunday’s. The weekends are when many of us are off work and would like to enjoy a day by the pool. I also recall the pool being closed on Labor Day because the office was closed on Labor Day. Because of that, I ended up traveling to my parents house to enjoy the sun before summer ended. If there was a way to keep the pool open for extended hours past 5pm, or have someone come in at the end of the day on Sunday to “clean up”, I know many other residents would appreciate it as well. Hopefully when restrictions are lifted, hours will be more accessible again :)

I am a current resident at City Vista and LOVE living here! They have been so awesome this winter. I had to share one of the many reasons why we love it here so much. This is our first winter back in PA... AND WE ARE COLD! We moved from sunny California. We forgot how much of a struggle it was to get our dog to go potty outside during these snowy months. My boyfriend spoke to Josh, one of the maintenance guys one morning about it. We joke, but the STRUGGLE IS REAL!I came home from work one night (dreading the walk I was about to have with our pup) to see that someone plowed a walk-way on the side of our building!! The maintenance team here goes above and beyond for the residents! We have lived in apartments for quite some time, and this entire staff has been by far the best weve had.

The majority of the problems aren’t necessarily the fault of the leasing office. It’s more-so about how they don’t enforce rules. They’re also a property management company so all they’re interested in is getting paid, not actually concerning themselves with the happiness of residents. The people that this complex rents to is a huge problem. There’s a cockroach infestation. My fiancé and I lived here from June 2017 until March of 2019. Starting around June-July of 2018, we noticed cockroaches here and there and it’s only gotten worse. We’ve notified the office SEVERAL times and their remedy is to have a “pest control specialist” come spray the apartment. It works for maybe about a week and then bugs are all over the place again. We’ve found cockroaches in our sealed coffee tins, crawling over our Tupperware, in our drinking classes, over our plates (they’re all mostly in the kitchen, but we’ve killed numerous ones on random walls all throughout the apartment). It’s disgusting. My fiancé and I are very clean and keep our apartment clean as well. It’s other tenants who are causing bug issues and nothing will get rid of the bugs until the main problem with tenants is fixed. My fiancé and I see other tenants on a weekly basis bring out anywhere between 3-8 full trash bags from their apartment. Leaving that much trash in a small apartment draws in bugs and that’s why there’s a huge infestation. We’ve also noticed people leaving their trash on their balcony. It’s just disgusting to constantly see cockroaches in an apartment that we pay 1500 dollars a month for.The rent is ABSURD. We were paying almost 1500/month in just rent...paying for “luxury” and “luxury” does NOT EXIST HERE. Unless you consider living in a pest infested apartment luxury. If you rent from here, better get a top floor or else you’ll be miserable. We lived on the third floor and about a year into our lease, new tenants moved in above us. They have three children (in a two bedroom apartment which is not allowed but the office has done nothing about it) and it is CONSTANT noise. We can’t even focus or have a moment of quiet in our apartment because of the noise. The stomping and running around never ends. The lights on our ceiling and the dishes in our cupboards SHAKE because of all the noise. Don’t try to confront anyone about the noise, because half the tenants here are rude as hell and stare at you as if you’re from another planet. It says dog friendly, but again you’ll get glares from almost everyone when walking your dog.The tenants have NO consideration for the complex. There’s always trash throughout the buildings, in the elevator, OUTSIDE the buildings, and the trash compactor is always full and people just leave their garage laying outside (hence the bugs). It’s truly disgusting. No rules are enforced by the management. It is not worth the price you’ll pay here, I promise. The apartments are cheaply made. We’ve had to have our dishwasher and microwave replaced because they broke (which took forever to replace). The drawers in the kitchen are crooked. The sink in the master bath is falling apart and there’s constant wood chips on the floor because the sink portion is like unfinished. There’s nothing about this complex that justifies paying over $1000 in rent. You also get charged a fee to literally pay your rent...which is so ridiculous. Anything to make money this complex will do. There’s never parking. You have to pay for a parking spot if you have more than 1 vehicle. Guest spots are always full because other tenants park there instead of paying the 50-80/month for a parking spot (again, nothing enforced by the office).Living here has been hell and I’m so happy I left. Don’t make the same mistake we did!

This is by far the worst complex I ever lived. Moving out was the best decision I ever made. Not only is the company unethical, the employees are useless and while I’m not a licensed contractor I would guarantee there is nothing about the living spaces are up to code. Please be wary of the “positive reviews” I’d bet 99% of them are either employees of the complex or were created as part of a way to “win” a promotional contest. There is no winning with this place.

I lived at City Vista for over 3 1/2 years. It was my very first apartment, even though I am a senior citizen. I chose it for proximity to major roads safety, and full sized appliances. I always felt safe and secure. I started using Uber to go to the theater in town (pre CoVid) because it was so handy.I had a bright and cheerful apartment located at the end of the hall on an upper floor. I had privacy and a spacious end porch --allowing furniture and plant/vegetable stands. It was easy to keep clean and there was plenty of light from the windows and patio/porch door. There is a pool, gym, car wash with vacuum and a 24 hour package access system. Access to the building can be done on two levels and my less mobile friends had no difficulty. It also makes it easy to get packages etc. into the building.Maintenance promptly took care of any repairs. I got to know the staff well. It was a good experience.

Review №31

I have lived at City Vista for about a year now. I want to preface this review by saying that the people in the leasing office, specifically Sunny, are incredibly nice.Upon moving in, we ran into a snag where the apartment we were originally going to have would not be ready in time. We were moving from out of state, had all of our belongings packed, and movers were scheduled. The original apartment we had chosen was on the top floor - since we had read reviews about the walls being thin and people having issues with upstairs neighbors being too loud.We ended up settling with an apartment on a middle floor since we had no other option. The leasing office did right by us and waived some additional fees due to the inconvenience.Upon moving in, we had a pretty substantial ant problem. Our poor cats had to endure ants crawling on them for 3 weeks until pest control could finally come by (since pest control only comes on Fridays) to rectify the issue.Things were great until our fear came to fruition - we had a family with a dog move in upstairs. All hours of the day we heard the pup sprint through the unit above us - shaking the lights and rattling dishes in our cupboards. We hated the idea of complaining because we understand that there’s little one can do about their dog being too loud other than moving out or keeping it in a crate all day. We eventually complained and the pup was clearly put into a crate for long periods of time due to the constant barking in the same area of the apartment. I believe the tenants above us moved out because after a month, the sound stopped.Next, the price of living here is a little outrageous. We currently pay $1,558 for just renting a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. We also pay $150 for two covered parking spots, $5 for trash (the dumpster is in an inconvenient spot and is always overfilled to the point of mounds of trash being stacked up outside), $2 for pest control, and $11 for amenities. The main reasons we decided to go with city vista were the location to the city and the amenities. I believe sometime in March is when the amenities were closed down due to COVID-19. We were still paying the fee, however. After awhile, management opened up the amenities, with restrictions (they are open 10-5 on weekdays only). Being an employed adult, I have no chance of using the pool or the gym during these times. This is the main reason for this review. I am still paying for amenities I am unable to use.I understand being cautious, but I believe City Vista is taking the caution to an extreme level. The CDC states: “There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of recreational waters. Follow safe swimming practices along with social distancing and everyday preventative actions to protect yourself [while] cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces at least daily and shared objects each time they are used.” They are adhering to these guidelines during the week until 5pm. With how much they are charging the entirety of their tenants ($11/month per unit with at least 200 units on the property) they could at least have a person stop by at the end of the day on Saturday and Sunday to clean to allow tenants to actually use the amenities they pay for.I do hope management intends to rectify this issue, as I know many other tenants feel the same way. Bite the bullet and hire someone to clean the amenity locations after the leasing office closes so the gym and pool can be open after 5pm, and allow us to use them on the weekends so we don’t have to resort to paying for a gym and pool membership elsewhere.Again, I have no real gripe with the leasing office. They have been incredibly nice and helpful with any complaints we’ve had. I understand the issues I’ve laid out above may be out of their control. My hope with this review is that it makes its way up the chain to the people making the decisions. We are not the only ones with these concerns. We’ve talked to dozens of others that feel the same way.Thank you.

Review №33

After 2 years of living here I don’t see how this is considered “luxury” the finishing is incredibly cheap, the countertops are the faux laminate ones, they installed fake tiles for the floors that peel off easily, the carpets and showerheads were also the cheapest options you could buy and the soundproofing is horrible; it was incredibly hard to clean anything because of that. While the amenities and everything they display were decent and properly maintained, the apartments themselves did not live up to that. The rules are not enforced here and when they are they send an email to everyone that is rudely worded. We had an issue with our neighbors and they did not keep us informed with what they were doing to resolve it unless we asked repeatedly. While the offer they give to everyone is very tempting, we noticed we were paying a lot in fees. One thing I liked was how prompt and friendly their maintenance staff was, they would be there the day of or a day after putting in a maintenance request. As for management, Sunny was the most pleasant to deal with and you could tell how everyone at the complex loved dealing with her.

Incredibly rude, unprofessional management. They are helpful up until the moment you sign the lease. Do not believe all online reviews, residents were given $10 Starbucks gift cards if they wrote online reviews.City Vista is advertised as a 6-minute commute from downtown Pittsburgh, and there was even a sign saying this at the entrance to the complex. In reality, a typical commute to downtown is 20-25 minutes at minimum, and longer if there is poor weather or construction/tunnel closures. To see this, just plug your route into Google Maps during your commute hours. If you rent here, be prepared to pay more than the list price - there is a monthly trash fee, a monthly pest control fee, and a parking fee. If you have a pet, you will have to pay both a $300 pet fee AND monthly pet rent for each pet. And that doesnt even include gas, water, sewage, or electric. If you want to renew your lease, you can expect a significant rent hike.Parking is very limited, and frequently there are other cars in reserved parking spots. Indoor cell phone reception is poor. After moving in, management NEVER responded to emails. (Even though they always responded quickly BEFORE the lease was signed.) I had to call (usually multiple times) or go to the leasing office in person to get a response.Shiny on the outside, but if you rent here youll probably regret it. Certainly not worth the price.

The residents get a 2 1/2, to 3 depending on the day.Ive been here for almost a year and a half. The apartment I have is very nice and constructed pretty well. I havent had many maintenance issues and I havent had a major ones when I have. Washer and dryer, while not top notch get the job done. Not much noise, just the normal amount you expect at an apartment complex. I have a unit with a fire place and I must say when its cold I flip that on and I dont need to put the heat on at all. Electric and gas costs are pretty good. The staff does an excellent job and have listened if Ive had any concerns. They are always pleasant and helpful for the most part. The complex is in a great location. Close to everything, yet tucked away for peace and quiet.Only issues are... fellow residents with dogs. Alot of them do not pick up after their animal. Its a huge problem. The complex has sent out emails but that doesnt seem to work. I have a dog, I pick up after mine its not hard. I would think youd want to keep your community clean and beautiful. Also people drive through here like its the Indianapolis 500. With children and pets in the community you would think people would be more cautious.Overall I would recommend just based off the apartments themselves and staff.

A posh community with all the perfect amenities. It also has a free car wash and a gift wrapping centre. The only thing missing is an indoor pool and a jacuzzi

Had the worst experience. Wish I could give negative stars. Don’t let the newness on the outside fool you. Management is completely clueless to any questions you have and very unprofessional. They are basically only there to hand you packages (which most of the time the door is unlocked and anyone can steal what is in there). The hallways and elevators always smell. Although this is a “dog friendly” apartment, most of the people staying in this complex despise dogs and will give you terrible backlash when they see you walking your dog. Honestly if you are looking for a new trendy apartment that is affordable and close to the city DO NOT GO HERE. You will be disappointed. Oh and if you think you’re getting any type of incentive for referring your friends to live here, don’t count on it.

They will try to nickel and dime you for many of the included amenities. Gym is very dirty with broken equipment, lots of dead bugs everywhere. You have to walk a mile to the dumpster and its usually overflowing. Maintenance requests do not seem to be urgent and when they arrive to fix something they ask to use YOUR tools. Guest parking is usually always full so be prepared for your guests to walk from green tree road. Staff does not communicate well. If you are fine with paying extra for pseudo-amenities this is your spot. We will not be resigning our lease.

The move-in incentives they offer is a Total SCAM! New tenants were offered a $500 Gift Card upon move-in back in July, it is now February and they refuse to deliver what was promised. It has been 7 months. Terrible upper management. They refuse to respond to emails or voicemail. STAY AWAY from this property! Terrible experience.

This is an awesome place to live. Close to downtown with good public transport, makes life easy. They also have several parties organised round the year and this helps socialise and make new friends. Clubhouse is amazing with the gym, lounge and the pool.

If you’re thinking of moving here, proceed with caution. I’ve been living here for about 4 months. It’s been nothing but problems. The electricity in our unit goes out at least once a week, cabinets are falling off their hinges, they pretty much hold packages hostage unless you can get to the leasing office during their ridiculous (M-F, 10-5) hours to collect it, we had an ant problem and they failed to resolve it (we had to buy our own ant traps) yet I pay for pest control in my lease, there’s never any guest parking because people who live here use those spots instead of paying for an extra space, the landscaping looks moldy and gross as well. They also charged me a $75 fee because they tried to take rent out of my bank account twice in a week and once got returned. The walls are thin, we can hear our neighbors. This place sucks. On a positive note: maintenance is fast to respond.but they couldn’t fix the ant problem.

Apartment is new but problems are so many-Walls are thin... so you can hear lot of sound and noises from outside and within ur rooms.-Their resident portal is way outdated, hangs every time and with less options.- For everything there is a charge. So total cost goes way above at the end.-appliances and plumbing electricity equipments are new but of low quality which you can easily find out after some use .-Water bill can go above your expectations-customer care or leasing office has one simple answer of your problem that it is like it is we can’t change it or help it.I would say the price on which they are leasing their apartment is high and you can get lot of options in other parts of town.

I love living here! Apartments are spacious and brand new. Grounds are well maintained and the maintenance guy lives here and is always available. The management is very friendly and they have catered to the wellbeing of residents here quite well. There are monthly get togethers for the residents at the clubhouse. Its a very dog friendly place as well. I only wish they had recycling services here.It can be an annoying commute to Oakland and Lawrenceville, but its worth living here!

Great new complex! Ive lived here since June 2015 and have nothing but great things to say. Staff is genuinely friendly. The property is always clean. It takes exactly 15 min to the cinemark theatre, 18 min to Costco/Walmart/target shopping complex in Robinson, 22 min to the airport, 12 min to UPMC/Oakland, 8 min to the heart of downtown (with no traffic of course). The only minor thing is that you have to take your garbage to the dumpster at the top of the hill but if you co-ordinate with when youre leaving, there are no issues.

I have been living here for a few months and love it. The staff is always friendly and on top of our needs. We have events at the clubhouse all the time and they really go above beyond a typical apartment setting. We had one small issue with our washing machine but the maintence came right away (after hours) and the office made sure we were taken care of the next day and followed up after.PS.I live on the first floor and our neighbors have kids and the others have dogs... we might hear the dogs when in the hall if i am by the door, but thats rare. I never hear the little girl next door, actually didnt know anyone moved in for weeks... We arent even disturbed by the cars in the parking lot right outside of our apartment. Its never noisy. Some of the 1 star comments on here are rediculius. No, its not a cheap pgh apartment. These are nice. It is a 5 minute drive downtown with exception of rush hour but I work downtown and lets be honest, you cant drive a block in downtown in rush hour... other than that its always fast (take greentree to north side into downtown)Bugs?? Isnt the gym?? Nope. I got there all the time. The treadmill was broke once and they fixed it fast. Its always clean. And the staff is more than accommodating. Everyone gets one parking spot. Not sure where the one guy commenting on no parking is from ... but any apartment in the city parking can be hard but you get your spot and usually a place for visitors. Sometimes I have to have them park at the next lot and drive them to my building. Not a big deal

I lived their for one year, and i regret it . very expensive and all the bills is on the resident nothing included with the rent .They have only one option for the length of the lease 13 month ONLY, and when we asked for shorter lease, they said we have to pay more, as if we were not paying a lot in the first place . The place is not for families with kids . They do not have any play area for kids to play and run.
