Listen…I have never stepped foot in this place I swear I never ever will. I live in Texas and accidentally signed up for the one here and I have been waiting for a refund since MARCH…It’s June… I received a voicemail on May the 1st and from Savannah, the manager telling me every was cancelled and taken care of and to also give her a call. Well Savannah,I called and no one answered so I left a voicemail like I’ve done multiple times but yet no one has reached out to me. I still have not received my refund and it looks like there was never an attempt to actually refund me. Each time I call I either get mo answer or I get someone who can’t help me. It seems like a manger is only there 2 times out of the week. This place is trash.

I made my appointment online and the pedi service I selected cost $45. The app asks for your credit card info that clearly shows they are going to store it (including asking for a tip % before the service is performed). I found that BOLD. Turns out its a membership type salon. When I went to pay, the receptionist said that she needed to charge me $10 more because Im a guest. I said that is not happening and you need to fix your website. She tried 3 times to tell me she was going to charge me $55. I told her over and over that is not happening. She finally backed down. I left saying I will never go back there again. The pedi was really along the lines of a $30 service and being a guest they charge $55. Good grief!A side note. The salon is on the strip of shops adjacent to AJs grocery. That strip of shops was recently under construction. Today it rained all day and in the salon 2 roof leaks were apparent. When I left I realized as I walked along the walkway which is covered also had several roof leaks. Hmmm. Was the ask of my $10 to help pay for the poor construction job? Yes that thought crossed my mind.

I got a manicure from Alisza and she was great! Super speedy and flawless work, plus pleasant conversation. I was a total moron and messed up three of my nails RIGHT after she finished and she fixed them in record time (and was very nice about it). My appointment was unfortunately pushed back due to a booking/technology error but these things happen. The staff was very apologetic and I think I actually ended up going back before the pushed back appointment time anyway. Would definitely recommend! Prices are very reasonable

Got my nails done yesterday, 20May2019 and am not satisfied with how they turned out. There is significant blank space where there should be color. The man who did my nails (who was very nice) stated he was new and the work made that obvious. Service is not worth the price.

This business has gone through some changes and improvements since it opened and I believe that they have finally gotten it right. This is a very friendly, well run nail salon that has a top notch professional staff. The facility is beautiful, the equipment, supplies and Covid-19 protocols are obvious and it makes for a very relaxing experience. They have an app and the prices are less than expected. In fact pricing is excellent.And theres one other thing: this is the first neighborhood nail salon that allows me to use them and leave with a clear conscience. In other words, the owners are not exploiting the staff or offering a service that is long on short cuts and short on customer service. Give them a try!

My first time getting a service was in December, and I wasn’t disappointed! I signed up for the membership program, and when I went to make an appointment, I guess I had completely misunderstood how it works. I thought I was preparing for a service, but unfortunately I was wrong. Luckily they were able to accommodate me through my misunderstanding and even booked a same day appointment! I’m keeping my membership (especially now that I know what it entails 😅) and highly recommending Prose simply based on customer service. All of the nail artists are highly skilled and dedicated to making their customers happy. I also love that I don’t need a mask just to get my nails done!

If you are looking for a relaxing pedicure, this place has the best set up. Their chairs are super comfortable and their technicians are highly skilled and kind. One of a kind set up for sure. Great place to take your mother for a pedicure!

I wanted to love this place but I highly doubt that I will be back. If manicure (on the photos attached) is a standard at Prose, then I would not reccomend anyone to go there ever. Cuticle is not removed, skin around nails is sticking out in different directions. GEL is applied horribly, not the whole nail is even covered with it and top coat! Of course at the checkout I said it was OK, because I had no time to redo it. Everyone is super friendly though, but it doesnt make them good nail technicians....

I like the way my nails came out. I got a gel mani/pedi. A couple bubbles in the gel, but what can u do.I do wish that they would have more natural color selections, like light pink or soft white that look more natural on the nail instead of all the bright colors that they have. I love the FREE tea, that’s a nice touch. the way they massage your hands 🤚 and feet is great! Friendly Staff👍🏼

I have been going to Prose Uptown since they opened and I fell in love with the place right then and there. Amazing ambience, clean nail studio, no toxic fumes, and the best nail artists in town. Go to Lana or Ashley and thank me later. :)

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. As nice as the place may seem inside, they make it incredibly difficult to cancel your subscription. I was forced to put my subscription “on hold” when I tried to cancel because they were closed for covid. They refused to allow me to cancel, despite me explaining that I am imunocompromised and would not be able to utilize their services even once they did reopen. Then, they inexplicably began charging my old bank account without permission. When I attempted to rectify the fraudulent charges, they refused to pay back the money they took, regardless of the fact that I hadn’t authorized the transaction in the first place.

Staff is really friendly and product offerings are great. Little pricey but great for a nice outing.

Clean, friendly, super convenient - this is my favorite place ever to have my nails done. And to make it even easier, you can sign up for a membership.

My grandma and I had pedicures done by Cynthia and Danielle, both turned out fabulous! They have a great color selection of gel and regular polish and provided us with a warm bead wrap for our neck. We cant wait to be back again in the future. Thank you for taking care of us 😊

I started working in the area and was so curious and i’m happy i went in. They scheduled me for the following day and it was such a nice experience. I explained to them my nails were very damaged from getting acrylics for years and i wanted to get them healthy again. They gave me suggestions and i’m very happy with the results! I even signed up for their membership which i’m really excited about! Very friendly staff and super clean as well. Thank you, Prose!

My first time going to Prose and I was impressed. The walk-in/check-in process was a little weird because I didn’t know what to do or where to go. But once that was sorted out, they helped me pick my nail color. Once I got sat down to have my gel manicure, Lona offered to wash my wedding ring. Other staff brought me a warm towel to put around my neck and gave me sparkling water. If this sounds normal to you, then you are lucky. I’ve never been treated so kindly at any other nail salon! What’s more, my nails look amazing!

The dip manicure feels horrible .They get to scam with their membership.. its month to month until u wanna cancel now its 30 day notice is needed...

Best service I’ve experienced in a nail salon. They are very attention- detailed on your whole experience & multiple employees check on you. My nail artist, Anna was wonderful! She took her time & was very thorough. I’m traveling from Colorado & wish I could come back every time.

If you like to be pampered, Prose is the place to go. They make sure you are getting the kind of experience you want - social, relaxing, whatever. I didnt need the warm neck pillow on a 108° day, but I still enjoyed it! I like the membership based idea, too.

Just returned from my first visit at Prose. It was impressive. I was offered a tour of the salon where the natural products, sterilization methods and customer comforts were explained. The salon is well designed and beautiful. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.I was a walk-in and they didnt have time for both manicure/pedicure but graciously offered to see me later or to separate my appointments. I was offered the $50.00 introductory price and was only charged $25.00 for the pedicure that day. I will pay the remainder when I return. I thought this was an extremely hospitable and courteous way to conduct a business.All in all Prose exceeded my expectations and in a world of salons on nearly every corner, this one stands alone.

The facility is clean and nicely designed. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I had a great manicure. My manicurist was very thorough and took her time doing my nails. Also, they have delicious tea.

It smelled so much better in there than most places Ive been to. The introduction pricing is great. I like how they use the same hue of green in their shop. Its a nice atmosphere and lovely people. Hsts off to Anna who did my French tips, they look amazing! And I know how difficult that is to do on small nails.

I paid $30 for polish remover, cuticle push and nail polish. No cuticle trimming, no cleaning under the nail, no massage. The original price was $45, it was $30 since I was a first time buyer. If I paid $45 for what I got Id speak to the manager. The dude took forever, the Polish was getting thick and hard because he would brush so slow and took forever on one stroke. Some people are meant to be nail techs some people arent. I asked how long hes been doing nails, he said 3 months. The staff kept staring at me like I was in for the worst experience of my life. You people need to stop playing with peoples money. $30 is a lot for something so messed up, but why did I go? To support the business. To have an experience. If you decide to reply to provide a discount or complementary something, please dont. I would like my refund. Thanks in advance. BTW the host was awesome. She made me feel special but it was a set up. I was held hostage. My nails look a mess and Im short $30. I dont review but that guy needs to go. Beware ladies. Speak up if the nails are looking wack. No matter how nice they are. An effed up nail is an effed up nail.

Was a little nervous as a man getting a manicure (wife got me a gift certificate, said I would enjoy it) but lead artist Brittany was awesome. Made me feel comfortable and did an amazing job. Definitely will be going back once a month.

The service is great, the prices are terrible. My first trip I was overcharged for the wrong pedicure... the second trip I was charged to remove the polish, manicure and dip... three separate charges, resulting in a 75.00 manicure.

I was given a gift card but the receptionist would not allow me to book an appointment unless I gave her a credit card. I suggested that she check the number on the gift card and she declined, so I passed. Pretty hostile policy. Happy to take my business elsewhere.

What an awful experience. Now two weeks since my pedicure and 10 days ago my RT big toe chipped pealed and broke. I showed my pedi to friend same day as service and said that polish is not even on and it’s sloppy. It’s all about sales and joining and the perfect polish. My toes look awful and my RT big toe embarrassing. Disgusted how can I fix when toes chopped and polish pealed?

Prose definitely knows how to make a pedicure relaxing!! The entire staff was extremely nice and very attentive to detail!! Very very happy with our experience today, totally wishing we lived closer!!

This place is NOT good anymore. They canceled my appointment last minute 2 days in a row. The last time I went there, she was over 15 minutes late for my appointment. I will be taking my business elsewhere to a place that ACTUALLY knows what good customer service is and comes on time for appointments.

Prose is a beautiful establishment I have to say off top! The setting and monthly program is genius! It was my first time and I went after work to be approached by a very knowledgeable and sweet young man who got me in the same day as they were busy, he treated me with respect and provided sparkling water.The dissatisfaction and disappointment came in when my pedicure turned out to be a train reck! My nail tech was handsome and nice to talk too but I didn’t get to soak my feet at all! That’s the point right!? He didn’t get the dry skin off and my gel nail polish is lumpy, all over my toes and just a hot mess! For $55 for a pedicure alone you expect excellence! It’s so “posh” you would want to come back but never again will I. Only go if you have baby feet (perfect feet) because they don’t know what to do with feet that has actually walked on solid ground. I totally regret my visit yesterday as I wanted to unwind and be pampered 🥺

The first service I received here was lovely- a mani/pedi with gel polish on both hands and feet.However, when I came back to get the polish removed it was absolutely awful. The lady who removed the polish was very unfriendly, which I wouldnt have minded so much (everyone has bad days), but she destroyed my nails, and didnt even get all of the polish off! She also cut me in two places with the nail file. Now my nails are peeling and deeply scratched, and will take a few months to recover. I wont go here again.EDIT 1/13/20: Prose never reached out to me as they said they would in their response to this review.

Not the best pedicure I’ve had, I’m from San Francisco and my expectation is for a good massage with my pedi...even so, the nails were beautiful, and the practitioner lovely and gracious, AND, I absolutely love that it is eco friendly!!!

Prose is an excellent nail salon. I went on my birthday to receive a pedicure, my artist Danielle was courteous, professional and walked me through every step. My pedicure was 30 mins and afterwards I felt like I was walking on clouds. Id highly recommend prose for all your pedi & mani services.

I tried multiple times to call and book appointments but no one answered the phone or called me back after I left a message. I ended up going to the Arcadia location instead, where they actually answered the phone!

I came in last minute but the front desk person Matt was super helpful!
