Me and my husband like to go here. We live pretty far and drive all the way across town to them. Most times they are really really busy a few times they were to busy to service us. But we always find our way back. Today we might have found the perfect time. I’m really a neat freak about my nails I like them really neat and closer to perfect. They try to make me happy and that is appreciated. Moving here from Chicago in February I think I have found my new nail place. From Chandler all the way to 32nd st and Indian school

I LOVE AK NAILS! I have been coming here since they opened shop and I’m telling you, I REGRET IT every single time I go to a different salon for services. I’ve had to show my face here and confess my betrayal because the other salons RUINED my nails and I need their help to fix them. Hannah, the owner, is just the best person EVER. She is so smart!, and makes sure her AMAZING STAFF takes the best care of anyone who walks in those doors. communicating with your technician is extremely important and Hannah’s team will take the time to listen to your needs.I appreciate AK Nails for helping me achieve the level of luxury I need to feel special.

Every visit is very relaxing and my SNS and gel pedicures are the best! The services are not cheap but it’s important to know, you get what you pay for. All employees are so sweet and friendly.

I have come here several times & this will be my main spot! Staff has always been friendly. Last time, a blonde gentlemen I’d never met did my gel nails. I love them! Great shaping on them. My pedicure was relaxing but the paint looked a little sloppy. Overall, this is a good salon! My only complaint is that it was hard to tip the techs, they ask for cash instead of tipping with card. I didnt have cash and am unsure if my 2 techs were tipped correctly.

I needed one nail repaired and an acrylic fill with gel polish. My nails were filed too low and in a different shape than what I asked for; I had them shaped perfectly when I went in. The acrylic is lumpy and the polish is a mess! Never again

I went with no wait time. Thinking it was going to be good experience. I asked for dip powder with hot pink French design. So I was moved to another chair with someone else. The guy put two tips on my broken nails and he filed them so much that the tip was bending but instead of putting another tip he just kept adding the powder. The nails came out so thick and bumpy. The gel polish came off already on my nails. I went in on Tuesday and by Thursday the gel polish came off. I was very disappointed. The whole process took more than 2 hours.

Just tried to go with my mother to get 2 pedicures. Sat with our feet in cold water for 30 minutes before we just left. Horrible service

I continue to come back to this establishment specifically for Jay! For me, it’s all about the SHAPE of the nail when it comes to a full set & Jay is impeccable with his work. He never lets me down & I will continue to come back to him indefinitely. Everyone there is also very kind & it’s all good vibes - BUT as far as QUALITY work - Jay is my go to! Their pedicures are always great too! Consistent regardless of who does them.

I got my nails done here. The acrylic was lumpy on different spots, within 3 days one of the nails popped off but the first issue I had was the gel polish peeling. I have had gel polish before and its not supposed to do that. I was going to go back and get them fixed, I went in and the place was crazy busy, the tech who did them was not there and they asked me what I did to make the polish do that. I didnt do anything different than I normally do. I was supposed to return the next day to get the polish fixed but when the nail popped off I was done. Too many problems for getting my nails done. Its supposed to be something I enjoy and I was disappointed on so many levels. The shape of my nails was bad, the polish was bad and they werent sturdy. On top of all that I was blamed for the polish coming off. Im really not a difficult customer. For 50 bucks I really shouldnt have had all those issues

Update: they had me come back and the owner fixed them herself and did a beautiful job!The pedicure was good but short. The lady who filled my nails was horrible. I think maybe she couldnt see very well. The top coat is bumpy, they are uneven and rough and the paint is inconsistent. Im on vacation for a wedding and super disappointed. I have to now pay again at home for someone to fix them.

I’ve been going here for my nails for months, after my sister had been showing me her nails for years. The staff has always been welcoming, and not once have I had any issues with the finished product. Hannah, Marie, Tim, Tee, everyone has done amazing nails that last even on my busy hands.

Very clean salon. I had an appointment for a double gel manicure for me and my girlfriend and we both left very happy. The shape on her extra long coffin and mine were perfectly done. Both the men were kind and gentle. I definitely plan on returning for future fills

Came in for mani/pedi on the way to a bachelorette party. I asked for a pink color to go with the Bach theme but the lady talked me into getting French tip instead, saying it would look better on me (and also cost more). She then proceeded to not properly do my nails! Ive gotten gel nails done enough times many other places to know the steps but she skipped steps leaving bubbles that you could feel when you run your finger over the nail. As a client, I know I should speak up, but I feel like I am coming to a place that should know how to do their job. She was not a new employee. It took over 2 hours in there, $100, and it was one of the worst nail jobs Ive ever gotten. I left and within 30 mins the gel was already peeling off of one of my fingernails, my toe nail polish (not gel) was missing on half of one of my nails - something I didnt notice in the shop. 4 days later the gel was coming off of 4 nails. I ended up being able to peel off without much effort the rest of the gel and was very upset with how much I paid for not even a weeks worth of wear.Many other places Ive gone, Ive had gel nails last me well over 3 weeks, cost way less, and not take over 2 hours to get done - with way better results! I chose AK due to the reviews but I feel I was at a different shop than the reviews stated so be fair warned.

I would have given a 5 star but the young man who knew I was getting SNS manicure and pedicure told me next time let him know I wanted matching colors. 🤔?? Who do get matching colors? I thought that was a given. Anyway Amy took care of me and got the colors close enough. I will be back.

I walked in with claws looking like I just got back from the Jurassic period. Seriously, it was that horrific! Mike worked on my claws patiently and got my feet looking cute again. This place is busy, but they took my daughter and I as a walk in on a Sunday. Hannah is sweet and she did a fast acrylic set on my daughter in less than 30 minutes and it came out PERFECT, then did mine in less than 30 minutes as well. Very happy.

I want never go back to this place my nails are to short with the price l paid it not worth it. They have favor if you new customer they will charge you any price in if you regular customer you will get your satisfaction guaranteed. It should matter if you new customer or regular customer. Right is Right, Wrong is Wrong.

Ive been coming here for almost three years, they always take care of me, especially Hannah. I do the SNS dipping powder on my natural nails & they have a variety of colors. The staff is very friendly, the place is always clean, & they do a great job :)

I always enjoyed coming to get my nails done here with Larry. This was the first time I had been back in awhile and was told he no longer worked here. I was hesitant to find a new nail tech but I wanted to treat myself. Im not sure of the guys name I was placed with but he sits at the last seat at the back right corner. Things were going well, until I told him I wanted them the same length as my natural short nail with glitter tips. He told me, no my nails arent long enough for tips ( after he just added tips) and proceeded to cover my entire nail in glitter (which is BS because others had done them before, no problem) before that, he mixed the bottle and the clear glitter coat turned yellow. I then told him I didnt like the color and he got attitude, told me next to let him know I didnt like the color before he colored my nails. (Rude) I then became agitated and told him I didnt want any color with the attitude he was giving me and I was done with my appointment. Now, at this point I should have just walked out. Instead I paid $40 for a short natural nail with a clear coat. I have paid LESS for longer nails and that was WITH color! I am NEVER coming back here again!

Was in AK Nails Spa for a week and needed my nails done. Walked in and they were very welcoming. They did an excellent job on my gel manicure. Very gentle and thorough. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area!!

The lady that did my foot was not good, she didnt even pay attention to what she was doing, and before I know, she said she was done, and I later find out that she was rushing so she can go help another worker customer, by doing their nails, I was so disappointed...

This nail salon is the best in Phoenix in terms of efficiency, friendliness of staff, lack of strong odor and overall ease. Its a total home run in my opinion. I am always impressed with how the pedicures turn out and last. The staff is also attentive to adjustments and feedback which is nice. Oh, and my husband even had a pedicure recently and enjoyed it, especially the massage chairs. Id recommend calling in advance to schedule an appointment if possible.Id absolutely be back if I need my nails done any time Im in town. Great service, great staff.

This place was clean and relaxing, the employees were very nice, the girl that did my pedicure did a great job she took her time and paid close attention to details. The service was wonderful! I spent a spa day here with my mother and grandmother. The staff was very friendly and did a great job. Very reasonably priced too. We will definitely be going back!

I went in today to get a full regular set for $30 and planned to give a $10 tip. Unfortunately when I went to pay, I was charged for GEL nails which I did not want. When I was first getting my nails painted I decided I wanted a lighter pink color, and the young man in the shop brought over a color I liked, conveniently not telling me it was a gel polish, something I did not want. When I expressed my confusion and disappointment at the counter, I was not offered any consideration, only a snarky response of Well gel will last longer by (who I assume to be) the manager. This experience shows that despite living 2 minutes from this salon, Im better off going somewhere else where I wont be scammed.If only this salon realized they would have made more money from me if they simply fixed the billing mistake. Id love to come back since the nails were done nicely, but the poor customer service has pushed me away despite wanting to originally become a regular customer.

I have been looking for a new nail home since moving downtown but it is always so scary to find a new nail technician.I came to AK Nails Spa because of the reviews they had. I was immediately greeted when I walked it and was handed a basket full of gel colors to choose from. I have a hard time choosing every two weeks so it takes me a while to decide but I wasnt rushed at all. I get my toes painted first and the pedicure chairs are amazingly nice! I got my acrylic fill in done buy the girl who was fabulous. We talked the entire time! She is very knowledgeable about nails. She asked me all the right questions to do a marvelous job on my nails. I will be returning every time I need a fill in! The atmosphere is relaxing and the salon is very clean.

I had gone to three different salons and they all messed my nails up, one gave me a fungus and the last two had my acrylic lifting within a week. I walked into AK Nails Spa and the owner was AMAZING!! I will definitely be going back, because she did my nails exactly the way I like them without me even specifying it to her. I will definitely be telling everyone I know about this place

This was my first time at AK Nails Spa. I called and made a last minute appointment and they were able to squeeze me in. Jasmine, who did my gel nails, was very sweet and did a great job. I just wish Id chosen a different color from the selection of gel polishes they had (this one ended up being a lot brighter than it looked on the sampler), but thats on me. I will definitely be back again when its time for a new manicure!

Is a good place over all. The person that do mine regularly does take care of your nail but there is a tiny negative side to it. After he puts the acrylic and gel he does file the nail again and it uncovers the nail making a gap between my nail and the acrylic. This space gets filled with dirt and vulnerable to brake.

My wife and I came here when they first opened and had several great experiences. The last two times we have gone we are sat in the chairs and told it will only be 10 minute wait. Fast forward 1/2 an hour later, you are still sitting there with your feet in cold water like raisins. I feel like they arent honest with wait times so you dont pick up and go to a competitor.

I am from out of town and always am scared to get my nails done somewhere new. After a prior bad experience at a different nail salon in Phoenix, I have AK Nails Spa a try. Finally, I found a great place and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I was also late because I went to the wrong location and they accommodated my lateness and still kept my apt. I had the pleasure my nail tech doing my nails and toes. She was maticulous and did and excellent job. I am very picky with my nails. Shes awesome! I will be back!

Im really picky about where I get my nails done. So I thought Id try a new place I was treated very good my nails came out good. But for all about 17 years that Ive been getting them done. This is the first place Ive ever had my nails break with in a week. Not only once but twice.

I LOVE this place. Always greeted with a smile and helped right away. Prices are competitive and they have a wide range of colors in gel, polish, and sns. I am pretty particular about my nails and I am always very happy when I leave. I would highly recommend!

This place is such a hidden gem, and I will never go anywhere else for my dip-powder manicures and gel pedicures! I stopped by as a walk-in several months ago to kill some time while my kids were at a birthday party nearby. I was very impressed by their quality and customer service, so Ive continued to come back every 2wks. Before I found this salon, I have never been a loyal returning cutomer to any place for very long. This place is friendly, clean, has reasonable prices and short wait times, offers you free water, and does great work every time.I HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone. My daughters first visit, she got full set and said the experience was great. Within the week she broke a nail, they fixed it for free and that was amazing to me. Three weeks later took her in for fill, nail technician wasnt very talkative and seemed annoyed. Tonight I took her back, best experience yet. Cici was our nail technician, she was very sweet with my daughter and you can see the quality of workmanship in her nails this time. I will be requesting Cici from now on.

I thought as a woman not just African American but as a woman I could go to get my nails done really good at this salon but in the end if you tell them no you don’t want a service they do little things to make you feel uncomfortable like for example I wanted acrylic and pedi then I said no to the acrylic since I didn’t want my nails done while I sat in the chair (because they was trying to rush on me) I was cut with the drill on my main toe right after refusing a rushed service - long story short I’m speaking to my lawyer

Love going to AK nails and having Jimmy do my nails. He never makes me feel rushed nor has his work ever disappointed. He even Did my Gel pedicure and it was amazing. The quality of his work is what keeps me coming back, as well as, the friendliness of the staff and efficiency. Like all businesses, when times are busy they still try and get their best work done, and that’s when I dont mind to wait.

They make you wait even if you have an appointment.

I moved from Dallas and haven’t been successful at finding a good nail tech yet. I came here yesterday to give it a try and had the WORST customer service experience in a nail salon in my entire life. When I first walked in there was a young man at the front and he was pretty friendly. Once I sat down I had a older lady start on my pedicure. She asked me if I wanted the regular pedicure I told her that I didn’t know what other option I had so then she gave me the menu. I went with the $40 dollar one because it included the callus removal. The whole time I was getting a pedicure the lady was making sounds and complaining about having pain on her right hand. So during my pedicure she barely touched me or massages my legs. While she was doing the calluses removal she spent maybe 5 seconds on each foot and then stopped as if she had taken anything off. I had to ask her to re-do it because I went with the higher pedicure just for that. After that I notice that everyone was asked if they wanted a water and I was never asked. Also, no hi no bye no conversation at all which I’ve always had nail techs at least say hi to me. After the pedicure I told her I needed to get gel on my nails and also do eyebrows. She did my nails (still complaining the whole time about her hand) and after that she just got up and left. No bye, thank you, nothing. So then I reminded her that I needed to do my eyebrows. She took me to the back room and left me there for 10 minutes just waiting for someone to come. About 10 people walked back and forth from where I was and nobody came. After 5 more minutes this lady walks in talking on the phone shuts the door and starts doing my eyebrows. While I’m getting my eyebrows done she is screaming on the phone and ends up pinching my eyebrow because she is to damn busy screaming on the phone. After she was done I get up look in the mirror and had some hairs that still needed to be taken out well before I was able to tell her she had already left the room. I walk out and she’s already with someone else. So at this point I’m ready to leave. Well I go to the front got charge $75 dollars and the guy literally took about 5 minutes to check me out because he was arguing with the lady that had just did my eyebrows. Once again WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Don’t waste your money. There is a lot more nail salons that need and want the business more than this people!
