Sophia gave me the best haircut Ive ever had, I had somewhat of an idea of how I wanted my hair but I wasnt sure exactly what to ask for and Sophia knew exactly how to achieve what I had in mind, Sophia is very skilled in haircutting, I liked that she updated me on all the techniques she used while she was doing them so I am aware of how she achieved the look I wanted, I for sure will be coming here to get my hair cut from now on. Even before i stepped foot into this great establishment, I researched other barbershops in the area and none of the other barber shops reviews compared to Downtown Barber Shops reviews and from what i read, it was exactly what i was looking for in a barbershop, and when I got there I got exactly what I was looking for. An old school barber shop in the best way possible. Everyone who worked there was friendly and made me feel welcomed, I cant wait to go back and experience such a great hair cut experience again. 10/10 I will be recommending anyone to come check this place out.Also bonus points for their music selection, I enjoyed every single song they played, cant go wrong with oldies, reminds me of home.

Eddy has been my barber for 5 years, I retired and left Phoenix I came back for a new job downtown and immediately called my old friendly barber. I got a great haircut and beard trim reasonably priced and professionally cut in very short time.Eddys the best!

Just walked in and was taken care of very quickly. Outstanding haircut from start to finish. Staff was extremely friendly and the owner is a delightful individual (from New York). One of the top places in the country to get a haircut. I prefer a more classic style of haircut and it is hard to find a place that can really perform consistently. Most places end up butchering my hair and cutting my cowlick too short so when I return home to style it nothing lines up right. I have been here three times and gotten a great haircut every time. Their prices are very good! I fly from Philadelphia to Phoenix on work trips just to get my haircut here!

More than a great haircut. Eddie brings a 10/10 experience. Ive been going to him for the last 8 years since I was a student at ASU. Since then ive moved to two different states, but always make sure I make a stop with my barber every time I visit AZ again. If Im not mistaken, every generation from his great great grandfather has been a barber including his son who works there and another shop in Scottsdale. He has appreciation awards from Phx Fire Dept and more all across his wall for good reason. Plus, I havent found another barber in the country who can line up a high fade like he can. Went in for a beard trim. Looks great and had an awesome experience with the barber. He gave me some insight on taking care of my beard and gave me a great trim. Will come here in the future.

Being from New York Barbershops have always mattered to me. Always preferred the small business barber shop. This one downtown is perfect. Great people and fantastic attention to detail. Definitely going to be my barbershop of choice from now on.

Been going to this place for four years, always a great cut. Owner is a fascinating man who knows how to use his shears and Yuri gives great haircuts as well. No parking but its worth walking a few blocks from the parking meters. They have a card reader to pay now!

Eddie is the epitome of barbers. He not only is a whizz with hair but he is a master of beards! He is an old style Russian barber with an understanding of a mans modern look.

This barbershop has provided a consistent great experience. I have used them for a little over 2 years now and have always received superior customer service. The haircuts are always as desired (with no unwanted lines) and includes a neck shave with razor.

Love this place. They are always friendly and do an amazing job cutting hair.

Piss poor service! Hair dresser was 20 minutes late. Cut my ear with the electric trimmer, and didnt even apologize. Trimmer was dull and kept pulling my hair. I even helped them hang a sign while waiting on the hair dresser to arrive. Hair dresser was very unsociable, and didnt even offer a discount. I figured she was having a bad dad, and tipped her well anyway.
