I’ve spoken to a couple of the ladies in the office and they were very kind, professional, and were a great help understanding my needs and getting me scheduled. Receiving prompt text messages of my schedule and immediate follow up on how my experience was. The tech JD was on time, notified me when he was on the way, and his mannerisms was refreshing. AMAZING AS ALWAYS!!!! I can’t believe they got here so quick today! I’ve had them do everything from repairing my old AC to buying a new one to maintenance and repairs… they have ALWAYS taken such good care of me! They are really inexpensive compared to competitors! Especially for last minute and weekend repairs!Nixa came out this time and was really great! She worked hard to find and fix the problem! Very curious and kind and she was very patient with my gregarious 6 year old that wanted to show her everything! He even made her a thank you sticker/badge for her to where when she left. We are very grateful to have a cool house right now!

If this review were strictly about the staff at Desert Mechanical, it would be a five star review, as they are very prompt in answering my calls, show up in a timely manner, and are very kind.However, the low star review stems from my poor experience with a BRAND NEW unit. Long story short, our very old AC unit went out, we paid an arm and a leg for a new unit, and not even two months have gone by and the unit has broke twice. Each time, a “bypass” was put into place because the actual problem could not be found. It would keep the house cool, which is nice, but the unit was constantly running. When I mentioned this on the phone to a tech, they brushed me off and said the unit should click off after reaching temp but it NEVER did. For the first two months with our brand new unit, what should have lowered our electricity bill actually made it triple, yes triple. I was shocked and bummed. Not only was a paying down a new unit but now I was paying an insanely high electric bill (not to mention I have solar). I called someone back out, and turns out the unit was installed WRONG from the very beginning!! What should have been caught in the beginning dragged on and essentially our compressor was never turning off, hence the high electric bill….I love the unit now, it turns off like it should, but I’m disappointed. Some compensation for the high electric bills would be ideal, seeing as the unit (that was very expensive) was not installed properly and we had to deal with it breaking down for two months in the hottest part of summer. I doubt there is anyway to be compensated but it is wishful thinking.Again, the staff and techs were always friendly and responsive, but the rest just seemed crazy; being told multiple times “we are just really unlucky” is no way to make APS lower our bill. :(After my rant, would I go with them again? Absolutely. There are many aspects of the company that beat out other companies I researched and maybe we are just unlucky.Edit: Thank you for kindly reaching out! Desert Diamond Mechanical exceeded all my expectations. My AC stopped working. Nixa was dispatched to diagnose the problem and it was no surprise I needed a new unit as this house is quite old. She explained my options along with pricing with no sales pressure. Her knowledge and expertise made me feel very confident about this major home investment. Next, Julio and Jordan arrived with the new unit. They immediately got to work and the house was cooling within moments of the installation. After getting the run around for over 12 hours from Chas Roberts, they finally said they could not come out for repairs for at least 2 weeks! I found Desert Diamond online and had a very professional and pleasant greeting from Carly. When I called at 10:30 am, she scheduled my service for the 3-6 pm time window. At 11:45 am, my repairman, JD, called to say he could come early! He was there and had the issue repaired by 12:30 pm. This company deserves more than 5 stars in my opinion. Friendly, fast and reasonably priced. I will go out of my way to recommend these folks to all those I deal with in the real estate industry as well as friends and family. THANK YOU!

This was my first time with this company. I just sort of threw darts and choose them after the company I have done business with for 10 years went strictly commercial. Office gal was very nice. Nice e-mail reminder of appointment. JD called when he was on his way. He and his work were pleasant, clean and through. He offered me their maintenance program with no hard sell. There is no one more outstanding than the Service manager, Cody D. He demonstrates not only exceptional knowledge and expertise but above all integrity - a rare behavioral trait in anyone these days! No, I am not his mother - actually a real customer and given my husband is an electrical engineer has a good understanding of what is going on so if he says Cody is amazing, trust me - he is!!!

Mario came out same day to repair my AC after a blackout/power surge. He was quick, thorough, extremely knowledgeable and got me up and running with no problems at all. The prices were very competitive and I highly recommend them.

During the summer and a week of over 100 degree temps our AC went out, the blower motor to be exact. We were referred to Desert Diamond after waiting for another company that our warranty company had contracted. We were so disappointed with the delays and customer service from the other company that we called and opted to pay out of pocket with Desert Diamond. The part we needed had to be ordered but Mario took care of us and installed a temporary blower motor to get us through the weekend and until he got the right part. While this was a expensive repair the service was impeccable and I was happy to give our money to this business instead of letting our warranty company pay the other business at zero cost to us. Hopefully we dont have any AC issues again but if we do we are calling Mario at Desert Diamond Mechanical.

Our 3 year old AC was leaking and made a mess. On the Friday night of a holiday weekend.Jessica answered the phone quickly and dispatched Ivan to our home. Mario my technician was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained all my needs and repairs very clearly and had my unit up and running quickly. I highly recommend using Desert Diamond Mechanical for your A/C needs.

Very quick service. We called them when our AC unit went out early on a weekend morning and a tech was here a few hours later to look at the unit. Just be prepared they’re pretty expensive, you’re definitely paying for their quick service. But in the summer heat it’s definitely worth it. They had our unit fixed by the afternoon.

So our A/C went out on a Wednesday evening. A repair person was at our house that night - worked until 1am getting our service back up and running. In a few days they came back and replaced our whole AC system. Ran into a thermostat issue which they quickly resolved. Professional. Efficient. Professional to work with. Will use again in the future.

Mario is here now at 9:30 at night replacing the blower motor. I decided to purchase a new ac unit because of the age of my current unit. As first time homeowners, we were in a panic when our AC stopped working at 10pm in the middle of a Phoenix summer. We called Desert Diamond that same night and were greeted by prompt customer service from the dispatcher. They sent out JD first thing in the morning at 7am and he quickly diagnosed what was luckily just a clogged condensate line. He was informative throughout the process, educated us on preventative maintenance, and was kind with our dog that is timid of strangers in the home. Desert Diamond has our business from here on out!!

We were out of town on vacation. Received a call from our neighbor this morning saying our AC wasnt working and its 91 in our house. My son told me about Desert Diamond Mechanical. I was having AC problems. I first contacted the company I have my maintenance agreement with (Goettl) First, I could not get same day service. Then the next day the technician did show up on time but after an hour or so tried to sell me on an overhaul of my systems (around $10,000). My units are only 12 years old. I said I needed a second opinion. My daughter in law suggested I call Desert Diamond. Not only was a technician out the same day but he did a thorough inspection. It turned out I needed refrigerant for my units. While he (MARIO) was here he also change all my AC filters and adjusted my vents, opening them for a better airflow. Mario fast, thorough, friendly and very instructional. I wasnt a maintenance customer (but I am now) but he treated me like I was. I truly felt like I mattered. He left around 11:00 pm but never rushed. I could ask him anything and he responded. Technicians like him are a diamond in the rough. I strongly suggest you ask for Mario if you have AC problems.

Ryan got here a little earlier than scheduled and was able to get our 13 year old AC unit up and running. We have been in this house two years and we were not aware that AC units do not last as long in AZ as in other states. He was very professional and also a nice guy. He explained everything and also emailed me several options to replace our old system. No one wants to hear that they need to replace their system, but you can’t be without it in AZ. We will be replacing ours within the next few weeks. We are very happy to have our AC working again. The response time was only a few hours from the phone call to the office to having AC again. Explained each step he was doing. My son was also here and thought that everything was done correctly. Im in a wheelchair and live alone.They came out quickly because it wasnt cooling to temperature it was set at, but kept getting hotter toward med day. Now it is cooling correctly,. Im grateful for their help.

Sales and prep were great and Steve was professional. The installation crew were prompt and polite. The lead seemed to know what he was doing not so much for his helper, some of the install problems were caused by lack of planning. I suspect that some work that was done was not in workmanship manner or met industry standards or code.. I am going to call Steve and get his opinion..9/10/21As usual Steve was on time and did a great job addressing the problem. Steve is does an excellent job. The company has always kept their attention to completing their promises.

They were here within 2 hours from the time I called them. They diagnosed the problem and the recommended repair and hopefully will be able to fix the issue within a few weeks.Very courteous as professional.

The AC at my parents house stoped working this morning.So I did a little research and found Desert Diamond. They had great reviews compared to Bob Brown Heating and Cooling, which my parents had used for yrs. Called around 8am and they were able to have someone come out same day. The tech, Dontre arrived almost an hour before scheduled earliest time which was great! He was very friendly and promptly diagnosed the problem. He was able to replace the fan motor and check all components to ensure the unit would be up and running. The AC is now running great and blowing ice cold! The unit is quite old and will need to be replaced so Dontre gave several estimates for new units. Will definitely be using them for all future repairs, maintenance and eventual replacement!

Reservation process was simple and scheduled Ryan to come out and service/inspect the old system in the home we just purchased. Total SCAMMERS. They came out to look at my unit. Then quote 1900 for a PART that costs about 200 and say - you might as well replace the unit since it will cost 3000 to fix. Sorry I have a brother-in-law that does AC repair to check your quotes. Taking advantage of people during these hot times is NOT COOL.

Our 21 year old air conditioner went out when it was 117 degrees. Mario came out at 9:00pm and had it going in 20 minutes! We felt rescued! He was incredibly competent. He found the problem quickly and was very polite. This is a GOOD company!

Great experience all around with Desert Diamond. We were looking to replace our two units at our home and called four different companies in the valley for quotes. In the end we chose Desert Diamond due to Steve Schilling. Steve did a great job identifying what options would work best for our home and walking us through the details of each option. The installation crews were efficient, professional and kept a clean work environment. Desert Diamond provides high quality at a fair value and I would recommend giving them a call for your cooling and heating needs.

I want everybody in the Arizona valley to know that this company took care of me in a time of need during the summer and my AC went out. I originally contacted chas roberts due to the home builders using them and telling to use them for all my AC needs. We’ll the AC went out after living there over a year and chas roberts proceeds to tell me that I’m a priority customer due to paying there maintenance package. We’ll they told me great news that I could be seen in about 5 to 6 days in the summer without AC. Wow thanks chas roberts. What a joke. Desert Diamond was then contacted from the Yelp and google reviews. They never gave a timeframe on the initial call but did say that someone would be calling today. About 10 minutes later our AC dude Ivan called and stated he could be here in a few hours. Ivan showed up in a few hours and was ready to work, got to the root of the problem and fixed our AC. I have 3 young kids and the convenience that Desert Diamond AC company gave us was great. Pricing was as expected nothing to crazy. Thank you again and I will remember how you took care of us.

Steve was the “Consultant” that came to the house to see my old system, help determine the proper size and configuration along with providing recommendations and answering all of my questions. Steve appears very, very knowledgeable and came across as a “straight shooter”. I like him! This was the first of 6 companies that I have scheduled to come to the house to sell me a new air conditioning system. My old system is 22 years old so I decided this is the year to replace it. I won’t choose which company to use until I’ve talked to each. I can tell you right now I’m impressed so far. Jd came out after hours and replace a contactor and capacitor and got us cool a couple weeks ago during the heat. Then we had to call them back out because the contactor failed. They showed up first thing in the morning and replaced the faulty contactor with a better quality one, no charge. These guys definitely stand behind their work.
