My original nail tech cancelled on me for my wedding and thank GOD she did. Frankie did an amazing job on my wedding nails, one of a kind or should I say 10 of a kind. He did exactly what I asked. There is a bit of a wait time but other than that, 10/10 id recommend.

I got my nails done here thinking that they would be great because of the pictures that were posted. It was a long wait for me to get my nails done & all of that just for me to realize as soon as I got home that all of my nail designs were different sizes.😐 Never again. Don’t let the pictures fool y’all like it fooled me.😐 And this was 110$.😐

Van’s Nails is the best nail salon I’ve been to so far. In Philly, there aren’t too many good quality salons and I used to leave the nail salon upset all the time…having to file and fix my nails after paying a “professional” to do them. The salon looks nice and is very welcoming. Franky takes his time doing my nails and they always come out perfect. It’s like there isn’t a nail design he can’t do. I show him a picture of what I want and he gets it right every single time. His shaping is always perfect and he has great customer service skills, very friendly. I always leave satisfied.

I was a walk in. A young lady did a full set for me which turned out, blah!! The owner attempted to correct the issues however it didn’t quite work out. To make a long story short, the owner needs to train the ladies on how to do nails the way he does nails. Practice makes perfect!!

Great place when you have time to wait. Don’t expect to get the owner to do your nails (he only takes appointments). The owner and his team are friendly but service is very slow.

After waiting 5 hours for them to attend me, the work was horrible I do not recommend this place at all and the prices are super expensive, ask for something and they gave me something else. first and last time I visit this place

I go to different nail salons every time because I’m not picky and particularly this is the only nail salon I experienced such disrespect and rudeness....I was completely shocked with how rude he was!! I’m speaking on Franky ‘the owner’... he over charged me BIG TIME!!! I never questioned anyone’s prices, I’m a non confrontational person but I needed to figure out how was it so high and then he switched prices in the end on top of it already being pricey he tried charging me more!!! Worse experience I ever had in a salon, customer service was horrible. Beware of franky lol completely unprofessional!!

Called for an appointnent. Had to wait forever .Asked for ombre nail. Did not get that. It looked like half and half. Ombre supposed to be a gradient effect.nails seemed rushed. For the price it is not worth it.Response: You need to be more clear in regards to an appointment. I specifically called with a time and you said it was okay. Maybe you should invest in a business class and work on time management

Cranky told me I had appointment at 10:30 I get there at 10:35 and door was close very unprofessional especially after paying 20$ deposit do not get your nails done here they are very unprofessional

I told them what I wanted done twice before my service started and they waited after my toes was done to tell me the design I wanted for my nails requires an appointment. As much as I like the results of my nails and toes, I don’t like how they run their business. Won’t be returning.**Update**I had to set an appointment with a different salon because the set I got with this salon is trash and doesn’t last at all (8 days!!). Base of the nail is already lifting and snagging my hair while styling. Huge waste of money.

Got both mani and pedi done by one of the other workers besides owner. They were nice to me and took care of my feet and nails.

They did not have several colors that they advertised. The lady who did my nails quoted me the wrong price. We were catfished by their Instagram page. They actually only have one person who is good at making designs. He was not there. Coming from Texas this was a horrible experience. Please if you are not familiar with the area do not stop here.

The lady was nice enough but my gel pedicure chipped later that same day and the nails were horrible, they didn’t move up clean, they started lifting by the second week, my cuticles were bleeding and bruised, the shaping of the nails was terrible and so much top coat was put over the nails that they were essentially lumpy instead of smooth.

Took my girlfriend there to get her nails done and wasted my money. Should have read more reviews like we did after the fact. And Frankie commented on another customer having nails who is a doctor implying you cant have nails if are a doctor. Maybe if youre a surgeon it could be conflictual but aside from that doctors can be fashion savvy. My gf is also a doctor so your commented is not well received. Word of mouth is the best advertisement, dont forget.

It is a little small and right across from the Roosevelt mall with limited parking in front, but great service strong nails very attentive to detail, show them a picture on your phone of what you want and they will do it.

Such a wonderful experience, they take there time and always checking up to see if you like what you are getting. Affordable, comfortable and almost no waiting. Loved the experience and definitely will be coming back for more. Thank you Van’s for the amazing nails.

I loveeeeeee coming here! Frank and Katie are always a joy to be around and their sets are amazing! I’ve been going here for years and I never go anywhere else. I don’t let no one to touch my eyebrows but my good sis Katie and she gets me right with the nail set every time ! Her input on the designs looks better than my original ideas! Frank is super sharp with shape and designs! He knows how to do a set HUNNY! They got new stuff and the prices are affordable! Way more affordable than anywhere else. The shop is small but don’t underestimate!!! I see people complaining about the wait, but that’s because he has LOTS of clients, loyal and new! Trust me, the set you will receive is WORTH THE WAIT!

I got a pedicure here and the technician ripped my cuticles off. I have sores and scaring from it. My polish started chipping within 5 days of my pedicure. The tech did not do a good job at removing the dead skin from the bottom of my foot. There was still dead skin there. I also got a full set and my nail broke off 10 days after the work was done. Im very disappointed. I would not recommend

FRANKIE told me to come in at 7pm. I made it there 10min earlier to my appt had to bring my 3 small children with me also. FRANKIE made me wait 3hrs then when asked how long do I have left he said 3hrs. I made it on time and had small children out in this weather. He couldnt even look me in my face when I asked him why would you tell me to come in at 7pm if you knew you had clients. Unprofessional and HEARTLESS. Philadelphia dont waste your time. Go to someone who is not in it for the money. The most HEARTLESS NAILTECH IVE EVER MET!

I just read recent reviews and have had a similar unpleasant experience when I went so never went back. My nails didnt last five days and the price was crazy for minimal level design.

I came there to get my polish changed on a Thursday by Saturday my gel polish was chipping off four nails my polish not even and my polish change on my feet is no better. I am going back to get it fixed.. this was a lesson he must of been rushing because I just wanted a polish change but when I spend any money I want it right no matter if it is 10 dollars.

SCAMMED ME the other reviews were NOT lying. I asked for all ombrè nails which I was told by the owner are $60. He finishes my nails and charges me $140!!!!! He replies with “These look better then $60 nails” despite that’s being the original price. Never going back

I went in there for them to fix two nails to come out with all my nails slanted and thin they did not no how to do a ombré nails then charged me 55$ And all I got was a color change and 2 fixed nails, they didn’t understand what I was asking, do not go to them it a bad experience!!!!!

The review that said Frank charges half of what another nail salon would is so inaccurate. Yes, he’s talented but for the condition and of the shop, tools, colors, and everything else, he overprices. Paid $75 for a regular full set.

I can’t BELIEVE the owner comes on here and says these reviews are fake and acts victimized. I’ve read all the reviews, good and bad. If anything the good ones are fake ! Everything is true. The shop is super dirty, tools aren’t cleaned ever, I was overcharged as well, and he’s rude. It’s sad the owner comes on here and lies but may god bless him.

I wish i could rate 0 . worst experience i ever had ! i was in there for FOUR hours !!! the owner knew the person he had to do my nails, did not know how to do nails so why have her do nails ! the lady had my nails unevenly shaped . my middle finger was short and she told me that its because peoples middle finger grows fast ! like what?? then i asked for coffin yet two of my nails was oval, ONE was coffin and the rest was square she didnt even know how to put the powder on correctly and she continuously burned me with the nail tool that they used . the guy said when i come back ill get 20% off ! 20% off my behind !! i just waited hours while he finished 3 clients took pictures of there nice nails and was working on his fourth & continously kept looking over at me because he knew the lady didnt know what she was doing . im never going back

SCAMMER ALERT!!!Always did my nails with frankie his a nice dude and at first I would tip him till I notice he was over pricing me for nails, I let him because he was good at first, than after the years he start lacking I always had to ask him to fix something wrong with the nail. After today I will not be going back! He said he was gonna refund me because he charged me wrong so I check the receipt and he did charge me wrong he wrote on his slip 83.50 and I payed 63.50 so I asked if he had square cash so I can send in the 20$ and he said I owed him more! I was like no I dont and he even blocked me from Instagram because he knows I wasnt gonna fall for his SCAM!!

Worst nail salon I’ve ever been to ... for starters they have no Sanitation equipment for their tools ... my nails were lifting within 2days, I took them off about a week later and had a horrible fungus under my nail because they were not sealed properly..I would never recommend them to anyone or return for for any future service

I tried to give this place a chance despite how dirty it was and rude the owner was but nails broke in 5 days after paying over 100 for them! So disappointed

People are very friendly and I mean very friendly they dont mind talking and holding conversations with you. Prices are a little high which is a downfall and when you charge me to use my card I guess thats your tip because you should not charge when Im paying so much money getting nails and pedicure done. I have a serious problem when I go to any store and purchase items and they charge me to use my card after purchasing items in your store. I dont return because I do not carry cash in this day and time.
