This place is beautiful inside. Great atmosphere, everyone is very sweet, and they follow covid regulations (mask/hand washing/sanitizing). I had the dip manicure. The final results looked a bit messy. Some parts of my nails didn’t get color. It was disappointing because the experience here was great and I wanted to love it, but I wasn’t happy with my results

Billy did my nails 9/7/21 and he did an amazing job as u can see! This place is clean and all makes u feel so welcoming. Def will be going back for refill. Thank you guys!!! ****Update.******I’m dissapointed. 2 nails popped day 5 and 6, 3 more began lifting. I went to get “refill”on day 7. Was charged a whopping 41 dollars for their poor quality! Day three today my index is off!!!! Nancy did them by the way. I have pictures and dates and was still charged $41 dollars and her word they would not come off as soon. I’m dissapointed .

Ive been coming here every 3 weeks for 2 years. They always do a nice job and are friendly. Wide selection of colors and good at designs too. It Can get busy so I recommend calling ahead or coming during the day :)

Nails were amazing. Horrible experience with my toes. The employee continued to walk away and talk to waiting customers instead of completing my toes. The polish bubbled at the top of my toes because they weren’t cured correctly. She had to fix my toes three times because she was paying attention. The owner offered me 10% on my next visit. In addition she told the person I wasn’t happy with her service…. She begun to argue with me… where does that happen? And was upset I didn’t give her a Monetary tip…. Because I loved my fingernails, I revisited the location today and they assigned the same person to me.. WHY? Then she had the nerve to ask me if she was the person who did my toes last time… I’m not arguing again…. I’ll never go again.

Great atmosphere but every time I come here, the workers are never welcoming and very unprofessional. They don’t know how to do pedicures properly and cleanly. It’s not worth the money especially when one of the tools cut me in the process by falling into the tub of water…. but why try balancing sharp tools right there in the first place? Then when I say i’m not paying full proce because I got cut and i’m literally bleeding she says “No it’s apart of what happens. It’s normal”. Its normal?!?!?! I tried going back a second time and just having some one else do my pedicure, but he literally filled the tub up with water just water nothing else & pulled something out for the jets from the next tub over that clearly had dirty water in it then when i asked him to wash his hands and use a clean jet starter he insisted on still putting the jet starter in the water and then go wash his hands after but it seemed pointless by then… 1.. Why is just a tub of water sitting there just soaking. Gross… & When I asked for clean water he questioned me as to why and I told him because he was taking tools from someone else’s DIRTY WATER. Still didn’t get the clean water & I knew I should’ve left right then but no, because it was the only place around that would take me right now. He continues the pedicure by not even massaging or using a scrubber on the bottom of my feet. How do you not scrub them, but apply lotion to them after the water?! I may not be a professional at this, but I know what a pedi is supposed to feel & look like. All to charge me $45. Moral of the story never again.

Went there for my pedicure. I had an appointment for 11 and didn’t get seated till forty minutes later. Afterwards, my feet were literally soaking in water (just water, nothing else) for thirty minutes. No one came to attend to me during this time.The next time I visited was to take out my acrylics. I didn’t have an appointment so I waited for over an hour. My nails were getting soaked off initially, then the nail tech got impatient and started ripping my nails off. She used a nail clipper to chip at the edges and punctured my ACTUAL nail bed. A little bit of my actual nail came off, so the skin underneath was exposed. It hurt a lot and I had to wrap it with a bandaid for a few days. My nails have been brittle ever since and I’m waiting to grow out my nail beds completely. Currently looking for a new nail salon.

Amazing salon! I came in on a Friday night during a rush, and was still seated at a station within 20 minutes. The space is clean and well decorated, and the staff were very friendly. Color selection is AMAAAAZING. They do gel, acrylic, dip powder, 3D design - anything you can think of. I will definitely be returning. Ok so my 1st experience I thought it was because it was a busy day but they are not organized! We made appointments and still had to wait 1 hour before being serviced and even still walk inns got in the chair before we did. They did a nice job so I went back. We were seated right away but the quality of work was rushed and they gave us a hard time when we wanted them to fix it. Yet in still I went by myself again and I waited for 1 hour after I was told the wait will be 30mins. After the one hour the came and told me that I still had to wait because they schedule appointments. No matter if I make an appointment or not I’m still waiting. Mean while everyone that they took in front of me and came in with the same appointment times as me were white. They took all the white school kids while me and another black lady waited and that was the last straw for me!!

Made an appointment for a pedicure, came in and sat there with my feet soaking in water while not being attended to for over 40 minutes. I was seating there so long that the water that was initially hot turned freezing cold. Service is HORRIBLE.

Good quality took little time at all even with my tech leaving my services several times to assist a previous customer during her drying. Love the look of the place. I love Luxe Nail Bar.They provide for men and women, men get also get there feet done.I went and my nails lasted for DAYS !!!I will definitely be returning.Also great for around special events or a birthday.They will get you out as fast as they get you in.Thank for the great experience !

The worst customer service experience. Came in for services was told that we were unable to dry our nails due to CDC guidelines. Told if we smudged our nails it was our responsibility. There was no seats so we left out for 15 minutes cane back and was told they were too crowded to take us! They took our phone number and no one even called. I asked for a specific design and they only gave me a basic gel manicure . Also the lady who did my pedicure cut the top of my foot because she was too rough. I tried to tell them that and they were rude and started gaslighting me the whole rest of the time.

First, I have never written a review for anything, but the experience I had at Luxe last night was so bad that I needed to write this. I was here yesterday and had my worst experience so far at Luxe. I want to start off by saying that I understand that the phone and card machines were down, so the day was understandably a little funky for the employees. However, that does not excuse the horrible service I received yesterday. I got a gel manicure, pedicure, and my eyebrows waxed, and in that whole time the tech said no more than 10 words to me. She looked miserable and like she had no desire to be there. She also didn’t offer to help me to carry my boots, purse, or coat from station to station, but instead just watched me gather my items and follow her. Regarding my nails, she filed them so short to the point I could feel it on my skin. As she was putting the base coat and polish on, she kept going back to my cuticles and over-filing to the point where the sides of my fingers have been slightly sore since I left. So, I was extremely disappointed both in her actual nail service and in her customer service. She did not make me feel welcome at all, and if I were a new customer, I absolutely would not be going back. However, my experiences at Luxe are usually quite the opposite of this review. But, I will be requesting that I do not have that tech from here on out.

I usually dont come here (for good reason) but couldnt make it to my regular salon. I came in to remove my acrylic and get a regular manicure. Not only did the lady 1. judge me for getting acrylics (which i needed for my show because they are harder and sturdier than dip powder, which really i shouldnt have to explain myself) but 2. wanting to take them off. If it were really such a problem that she knew she was going to rip half my nail off because she was in such a hurry to do it properly she should have just turned me away. also the manicure i received afterwards was subpar and smudged right away. I really hate when the nail technicians put all the blame on the customer. Really a pretty horrid experience. Take your money elsewhere.

I like the environment here. It is very relaxing. They do not talk too much if you do not want to talk. The technicians suggest beautiful colors which I appreciate because there at so many colors. The space is clean and location convenient for me.

Most of the staff is unwelcoming and rude. The technician I had twice now spoke maybe 2 words to me. Nails are sore from how much she kept filing them. I have now had 2 experiences where I have cringed in pain from getting my nails done here. My nails were also not done the way I asked, the technician had to ask for help in understanding what I wanted from another co-worker and must have relayed the message wrong. It wasn’t even worth me saying anything, I was already extremely frustrated with my experience. The only reason I came back here was because it is in a convenient location for us college students. I’d much rather take the trip to go somewhere else. Do not recommend at all! I will not be going back.

Came for the first time for an acrylic full set and they turned out great! Jenny did a fantastic job! My appointment was at 4 and I came in a20 minutes before and they took me within 10 minutes, even though they were really busy! Super clean, too! Definitely be coming back!

Great experience, but I am still disappointed with the actual quality of the manicure. Ive had my gel manicure for a few days now, and every day, more and more tiny brown spots (which I assume are bubbles) keep appearing on my nails. Ive gotten gel other times before at other places and this has never happened. Not sure what to do, it looks a bit like dirt. Edit: I went back, and had great service. Will be coming back again, Lynn did my nails very well!

I have been coming here over five years!!! Lately the service has been awful. Even when you make appointments they sometimes don’t start on time. And they also choose who they want to take first. Example I made an appointment for 10am I was already told the tech I normally have was not going to be there. So they made me an appointment with someone else.. I was there early first one to walk in then a few more people walked in one did not have an appointment she was the first to be taken care of we were getting the same service her skin was white mine black!! After I notice people walking in without appointments of color was turned away and they were giving everyone almost the same time to come back and they wonder why it mad busy and Chaotic.They prices also don’t match up the tech tried to charge me for something she did not do😡😡😡I have a tip for you!! Their will be no tipping today!! My nails are just okay until I get them redone not happy with the service!! They need to be more respectful not only to one kind of people but to all!! Not all techs are rude there is a few good ones!!?Less then a week my nail has broken 😞

Very friendly and they do a great job! I had to get acrylics removed and there was a discount for the gel manicure if I did it together. It was $35 all together. The lady made sure she didnt damage my nails, and made sure the gel polish looked right (the first couple coats looked off because the color was light). Definitely getting my nails done here from now on.

I absolutely love this place. Everyone here is fun to be around and very hospitable. I literally have not gone anywhere else since I found them. Definitely recommend!!!!!

Very disappointed. I told the lady that was doing my nails that I didn’t like them (they’re dip and she smacked one, put her thumb over it and pretended they’re fine... I can still see her thumb print) and she was like: “they’re fine”. Completely ignored that I told her they felt uncomfortable (super thick). Still had to pay full price. Never going again.

Rude service. At one point during my gel manicure I realized there was nail dust all over the bottom of my hand, so my natural instinct was to wipe it off. Upon doing so I accidentally got some of the dust on top of my *already dry* nail polish in which my nail tech snapped at me saying Dont do that. See why? then proceeded to show me my nail that had the dust on it, to which I said theres dust all over the table then she snidely replied Its a nail salon. My nails were rushed to be finished/are completely uneven lengths and I felt so uncomfortable I wanted to leave ASAP. I wont be returning.

I found my new nail place! I was loyal to a nail place in center city even though I lived in Ucity. This place is amazing! The negative reviews here have absolutely no standing whatsoever. I ran here at 4:45 asking to get a gel fill on a Sunday. Even though they closed at five, they completely accommodated me. They did a beautiful job and took their time. Will definitely be coming back.

Greatest place ever. They are soo family oriented and they all associate with all of their guest as best possible the at the front is amazing. He has wonderful hospitality skills. And Alex (the gentleman whom did my feet) did wonders.....The setting and decor is very beautiful . I would def recommend them to any one who asks about nails.

Was empty, they took me right away which was great. Nails were ok but my pedicure was horrible. They didnt scrub my feet and was rushing even tho it was empty. May go back if I need a nail fixed or something but def not for a pedicure

Ive taken some time to reflect on the hurtful experience we had here. My partner and I came to this establishment for pedicures. My partner was asked if we were related by the young technician. When my partner said I was their wife, the technician then asked man or woman My partner said neither and the technician said Im just not used to this, Im just not used to this. The rest of the pedicure was rushed, and it was clear that the technician no longer wanted to service us. I hope that this does not happen to anyone else. And I hope that this place learns from their egregious and hurtful mistake.

Never again. Went in there were only two techs. One asked if I would wait 20 minutes. I said yes and sat down. A white woman comes in and he asked her to have a seat at the counter. When I asked why I wasnt next he said she had an appointment. I was never asked to make an appointment, I wasnt advised that if someone came in with an appointment I would have to wait. Unacceptable customer service, and racist.

Extremely rude and bad service. I went for regular mani- pedi. They kept forcing me to upgrade to their lux mani pedi. Dont go to the lady with glasses. She is very rough with process and rushed through the whole process. This was my second visit and I noticed the team is always on their phone or watching TV, when they are called for a service they rush through the whole process. I have never written any bad review for any business but this I had to as I was very disappointed. If possible avoid this place as it is not worth the money spend.

This is the most racist and transphobic establishment Ive ever been to. my friend and their partner walked in for pedicures. not only were they asked if they were a man or a woman, but the nail technician also upon learning that my friend didnt identify as either repeatedly shook her head and said Im just not used to this. I called ahead and still ended up waiting 45 mins for a polish change and one nail fix. Yes I do believe it is a race thing. Another female came in and was greeted and treated before me. It was not a good visit at all.

My tech kept commenting on how calloused my heels were, which was annoying after a while. They did a good job, but tried to push moor expensive upgrades on us that we didnt want. I dont think I would return, with so many other options.

I had a gel manicure at luxe at the end of July. I was so happy with the results! Clean, friendly staff, kept my appointment time! I think this will now become my go to place!

Terrible service. The woman I had was constantly pulling and yanking my hand around. One of my fingers, the woman was pulling off so much skin around it that it began to bleed. No regard for my personal well being. I go to nail salons on a monthly basis and this was by far the worst experience.

Sad to hear my friends had a transphobic experience here. I see the comments below refuting that this happened, but they are sure it was this location. Hope you retrain your staff on how to treat all people with respect.

I recently got a manicure here, and the staff was very unwelcoming.The dude made me hold out my hand to see if he had time to do my manicure. Not gel, just a standard clean up and polish. There was only one other person in the store getting anything done. Its been three days and its already chipping, never received or was offered a top coat since the guy who did them was curled up texting on the chair after he completed my manicure. Two stars because the building is clean, and had a very nice selection of polish. However the person who did my nails was unethusatic, and lacked any sense of professionalism. I should include that I tipped $5 for a $15 manicure and I feel like an idiot. Ill likely go to the place on Baltimore ave from now on.

I visited this nail salon today. I was serviced by a young girl named Nhi. I only learned her name because it was printed on my receipt. She never introduced herself to me. Overall, I found her to be extremely rude and ignorant towards me during my visit. Constantly speaking in her language and puffing every time I tried to explain to her what I wanted done. Apparently, she had a problem with this. It was my first time there so I didnt think it would be realistic for me to expect her to read my mind regarding what I was expecting as a customer. She didnt like it when I asked her to scrub the heels of my feet because she barely touch them. She constantly rushed my services. In addition they dont use razors so naturally I would had needed her to put some effort into making my feet appear as though I actually just got a pedicure instead of looking like I only got a polish change. As this visit came to an end, I went to sign my receipt (paid with credit card) and add on a tip although I was disgusted with her personality and lack of professionalism, she had the nerve to ask me to give her the tip in cash. Girl! Excuse me! Youre customer service is horrible! Better be lucky youre getting anything! And she obviously never considered that if I was paying with a credit card that I likely didnt have cash on me. Damn! She actually ended up getting no tip because she became even more rude as I was attempting to give her a tip in cash and she walked away! She didnt say thank you for coming please come back to visit nothing! Oh, and she deliberately charged me the wrong price! For what I got done, I was supposed to get a discount! I will be visiting them tomorrow to get reimbursed for the overcharge.Bottom line, that was my first experience. She represented that business poorly and as a result, I wont be going back.A direct message for Nhi. I have a translator app on my phone! Treat people the way you would like to be treated! How would you feel if I spoke disrespectfully about you in my language that you couldnt understand?P.S. I only gave my experience a rating of one star because this was the lowest rate I could give! Had to select something!

TRANSPHOBIC ESTABLISHMENT: One of my best friends and favorite humans went here and was discriminated against just last week. They went for a pedicure and the nail tech wouldnt even touch their feet! The young nail tech kept uttering im not used to this, asked them if they were a man or a woman and finished the job in less than 10 minutes. Judged, given poor service, my friend still paid full price!. I would never go and never recommend this place. People of color beware, lgbtq family beware.

The nail bar is Marble with comfy bar stools and the service and treatment was definitely 5 star ! They have complimentary water, tea and WINE ! ( I dont drink but it was offered to Me) and the price was my usual that I would pay at my other regular nail salon on City Avenue.I only get a mani/pedi, but it was quick, perfect and Very very sterile !! (I am particular about cleanliness )The pedicure Room is LARGE with about 10 brand new pedi chairs with shiny rock basins 💎! Beautiful ! clean and fast ! my new nail salon for sure !
