I came here because it was close to work and seemed to be the cheapest option for a pedicure ($32 which isnt even cheap but beats the other places nearby). Everything was fine until the nail tech started putting the polish on. I noticed the polish looked kind of worn out and old and told her that it seemed gooey on my nail and was creating bumps. I said lets change to another polish and she refused saying it will flatten out as she adds on more layers. Absolutely not. It got worse, as one can logically assume. I told the nail tech to just remove the polish because Id rather have no polish than this bumpy uneven bs and and refused saying it looked good. She didnt even clean the sides or anything. Very quick Mickey Mouse job. So disappointed. This was the worst pedicure Ive ever gotten. Literally dont waste your time coming here.
If you are a woman of color do not waste your money and time at this place. My nails and feet look horrible. She left wax on my face when waxing my eye brows. I regret paying.
My nail tech name was Sharon she was very kind and welcoming. The massage during the pedicure was LIFE!!
Three of us came in for gel mani/pedis. The technicians took their time and made us feel so pampered. They even stayed open for us so they could finish, which took about an extra hour after their closing time. We never felt like we were rushed and they went above and beyond with little touches like paraffin wax and hot towel massages. One of the best salon experiences I’ve had.
Terrible job. Cut me to bleeding 3x. Uneven polish. Worst cleaning of cuticles I’ve ever had.
Honestly one of the worst gel manicures I’ve ever gotten. I got my nails done yesterday and it’s already peeling :/
I was visiting Philly and went to this place on a whim and they were amazing. The staff were so sweet and fit me in right away. They went above and beyond with my mani pedi with a paraffin heel mask, a complimentary massage and offered me tea, hot chocolate and snacks. My nails turned out beautiful and I will definitely be back next time i’m in Philly :)
Stoped in for an acrylic set, lovely staff, great manicure and price; definitely going back!
Im from out of state and went here yesterday on a whim. I had a gel manicure done and the woman who did it did an excellent job! The staff were very nice and got me in right away. I dont like to do stuff by myself usually, but I felt welcome and like I was already familiar with the place. Definitely will go back next time Im in Philly!
I went in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure during my lunch break and had a great experience. Not only did my nails come out great, the woman who did my pedicure (did not catch her name) was so pleasant and helpful. She took the time to help me find the perfect nail color and took her time with my pedicure. She also ensured I was comfortable throughout my whole experience. I also enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the salon (they had holiday music playing in the background and there wasnt much chatting going on). This will be my new go to nail salon in Center City.
Thee best nail salon in Philly! They are warm and welcoming! I called to confirm my appointment and Ms. Helen (head chief/owner) recognized my voice and knew my name! Talk about true customer service! They make sure you’re satisfied before you walk out their door and the ultimate is while you’re drying, they give you a nice massage at the end to relax you! These ladies rock!
Had a great experience at this place 💅 The manicure was fast and cost $15 plus tip. I was in Philly for a friends wedding and they saw me right away without an appointment. My nail tech, Mila, was sweet & did a great job with my nails. Would go again 👍
I will never ever again go to this place. I am new to Philadelphia and it was a bad experience for me with poor quality. I come from Washington DC and I had great experience with nail salons over there. The employees here are rude. when I called them yesterday to make an appointment they told me total manicure and pedicure with gel will cost me $55. But when I went there they said I have to pay $80!!!. I had an appointment at 5:30 pm but I waited for about 45 minutes until someone came and took care of my nails. Also I do not have cash and they ask me to give them tip. They told me we have an ATM and you can get money from our ATM and it only charges you $1.75 to get cash!!!! I never hear this conversation before. I finally found $5 cash and gave them. And now when I look at my nails they are polished very unprofessional. I went to many nail salons before and this one was the worst nail salon. if you want to just waste your time and money and get unprofessional manicure and pedicure go to this place!! I wish I could give them zero star!!
Excellent massage and timely service with just an hour ahead of appointment! Very pleased! Sheryl and Cilla are the best!!
I dont understand why people have rated this place so low. I walked in and was seen straight away. The pedicure (a cheap $25) was super thorough and included hot stone massaging. I would kill for a pedi like this in NYC where I live. Maybe Philly residents have higher standards but Ill definitely be back again.
Ive been going to Gomo for almost a year, and the service is excellent. They give you more than an average nail salon, and the exposed brick is a nice look being that its in the city. On M-W you can get pedicures for $25, and time permitting, you get a brief shoulder massage after your manicure. Many women on the staff have been there for years, and there are generally 4-5 technicians there for handle walk-ins. I would recommend an appointment, as they get quite busy.
The pedicure was great! Worst fill I’ve ever gotten. Cost $10 more than they told me. After 4 Days, the polish is coming off & nails are lifting. The chair massage was a waste of money.
Great experience and wonderful neck massage thrown in!
Fantastic deal! $25 for a pedicure (Monday Tuesday Wednesday) which includes a great massage and hot stones.
Incredible pedicure. Staff was very efficient but never scrimped on the comfort.
Shaniya (sp?) did my pedicure and was very kind and professional, allowing my husband to sit next to me in a massage chair, and was quite meticulous with my nails. A very positive experience— will go again!
First time ever Wednesday, 12/23. I called first thing in the morning for an 11:15 appointment. Arrived less than 10 mins before my appointment and was told I made my appointment later than what I scheduled it for. They claimed I scheduled for 12:15. Though I know I made the appointment for the right time, and they could have recoded wrong. I realize they are busy, and mistakes happen. Whats disappointing is that on no level did they admit hey were wrong and further made me feel bad about arriving at he time I scheduled for! The gel manicure was done without water, and he products used for base, color, and top coat were not all from the same product line. My $30 gel mani lasted TWO DAYS. The top coat and color layers peeled on half of my nails. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I wont be going back.
Best pedicure and neck massage ever.
Was my first time there was very please with the service I received, did an awesome job with my manicure I’m going back for my second visit some time today inclusion I don’t usually add comments I also would like to say the prices aren’t to expensive
Ladies were friendly. Got a full set- rates were extremely too expensive to get gel polish. Quality/look of the finished product was just okay- Not worth the $50 and the 2 weeks that lasted. Wouldn’t do back.
Great service
