I made an appointment 4 days in advance, “cash only” was never mentioned to me while making the appointment. The older woman did my nails, it felt very rushed and lazy. I’m not happy with the details of my service. No natural nail or cuticle care was given to my hands, which should have been included in the high price ($78) Most of my acrylics aren’t even at the base of my nail & appear to have grown for at least 4 days when I just got them done TODAY. I was told cuticle oil would mess up my matte polish, which is false. My hands were not massaged or moisturized, my coffin shape is not very defined, and the polish job on 2 of my nails were very sloppy. I had much higher expectations because of the higher prices but ended up being very disappointed for my birthday

Well I had a good experience in the shop and the ladies are really nice. Very happy to support an almost all Black staff. I got gel mani/pedi but the gel peeled off in 2 days like fully removable. Also spent $95 in cash so honestly disappointed 😞

I received F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S service! Due to COVID-19 they have been taking appointments. I was running late, but when i called to give a heads up the staff was courteous & professional. I arrived just before Jenny finished with one client & washed my hands & waited & looked at sime designs to pick from. I enjoyed the massage chair & my lovely (well-overdue) pedicure. And I got to chat it up & converse with the all female staff. We sang, joked & just got to ve pleasant human beings together. The atmosphere is very women empowered but still elegant & light. Tge experience really boosted my week from a gitls night out to running my errands in style. Thank you ladies! And Jenny Im going to see you soon!

Overall the place is nice but they have new nail techs I used one and my nails were the worst I’ve ever had done she had no idea what she was doing if u ask me I felt like she was practicing on me not to mention when I was trying to tell her when she did something wrong she would giggle she left polish all over my nails she put way to much gel polish on which made them lumpy and she didn’t apply the acrylic properly I am highly upset especially because no one else could fix my nails nor was there a manager there to help Do not let Bonnie do your nails she’s just not ready this is how I walked out unbelievable and unacceptable

I actually liked the service! My manicure gel took forever to come off, the only downside was to learn while I was having my mani that the tech wasn’t vaccinated against COVID-19.

If I could give this business 0 stars I would. Completely unprofessional. No proper sanitation. No COVID precautions. They reuse nail files and equipment. Very limited polish selection. Cash only. Terrible attitudes, won’t answer questions. I spent $90 on what I thought was a powder dip (including $25 for a French tip design that was not done well and overpriced for what it was) and ended up getting an acrylic overlay even when I repeatedly emphasized that I was not interested in acrylic. I allowed the tech to finish because I didn’t have time to pivot- big mistake. The work was so bad I had to have them removed a few hours later. The shaping was off, there were gaps between my natural nails and the tips (breeding ground for bacteria). I questioned the cost before I started, I couldn’t get a straight answer and in the end I got hit with a big bill for terrible work- that I didn’t mind as much until I had to have the work redone. I ended up getting $40 service and NO Refund for the original work. I honestly hope this place closes. I recommend Polish on Fairmount. NEVER going back here, ever!

I went for classic eyelash extensions and thought that it would be good because of their instagram. I should have listened to the reviews. I got the classic and a day after my eyelashes started to shed. The fake and my REAL eyelashes. I am now going to have to have to get eyelash implants, Ive already had my consultation. Ive attempted to contact these people and they refuse to refund me. They clearly should not be running a business. I am looking to get a lawyer involved.

Made an appointment here for a pedi and gel mani. Got taken back an hour after my appointment. Picked a white color for my nails and toes. I guess it was old or clumpy bc I saw the tech water them both down with acetone. Everyone knows this will thin out the clumps but causes your polish to chip sooner. Needless to say, everything chipped in 3 days. Even the gel. Wish she would have just told me to pick a different color and trashed the old clumpy one.

I really loved coming to Glo Nail Bar when Aasia worked here! She was the best nail tech and had everything in this business running smoothly! Seemed as though the rest of the nail techs are totally oblivious to the appointments they have booked, and the runnings of the salon. On the day of my appointment, no one informed me in advance that my nail tech would be absent. I sat waiting for a while before I was even noticed. Kevin ended up doing my nails. They were too thin. Here it is about 4 weeks later and all of my nails just popped off on my right hand..but It is taking forever to remove the acrylic from my left hand. I won’t be returning to this salon ever again. The only respectable nail tech they did have, is gone smh. Even another girl complained about not being informed that the same nail tech was absent. The lack of communication was ridiculous. The owner needs to be present during business hours, because this place is ran so unprofessionally.

I love my experience each time I’ve come to Glo nail bar! I’ve only been a couple of times and from day one my experience has been TOP5! As soon as you walk into the salon you are greeted by someone (and I like that because it makes me feel very welcome). Jenny does my nails and she’s super nice, and professional and has a awesome personality! Each of the ladies who I’ve encountered there so far are super polite as well. I’m for sure making Glo nail bar my new “home” salon!

I had a very good experience here, my nails are bomb. The girls were super nice and friendly. Anna recommended a style that she was clearly experienced in creating, and Im so glad I listened. She was very gentle and very professional, highly recommend!

I have been going to Glo for about a year now and this place is amazing. Super clean and modern. All the girls are really friendly and do great work. I always go to Anna and she kills it every time. I usually bring an inspiration photo and she has been able to replicate all of them. Love this place and their talent!

Took 3 hours to complete a full set and pedicure which was annoying especially since I was the only client in the salon. Also prices are too high for the quality of work; they have micro fees for everything (charged for shape of nail and length...strange) and its cash only. Pedicure was subpar. Not the best experience for $90+

The nail color is not even close to what I asked for. I wanted a sage green and it is like a teal blue. The nail shape is uneven across my fingers and all of my nails are pointing upwards. There is a paint bubble on my middle finger and it popped after I left, it is sinking in and looks unprofessional. They did nothing for my cuticles or anything.

I’ve been getting my nails done for years and after discovering glo I’ll never go back to another salon! It’s clean, everyone is super friendly, professional, and there is never a wait time once I’ve arrived. Anna is my nail tech and she hits the nail on the head every time, and I always leave with the exact nails I ask for! Highly recommend

My first and last time going to this place. Was rushed the whole time! Nails were barely dry and was smudged by the time I got out the store. I had to do a make shift job of my own once I got home to make them look better. Color selection was poor. Paid the deposit and was asked for the full amount as if they had no record of it. Not to mention the place was Cash Only in 2020, like really! Nail tech barely spoke and was unfriendly.

I seen the reviews and was excited to go get my pedicure here. The place was nice and ran by young ladies and I thought it would be a pleasure...I was so wrong. They attempted to overcharge me when I already made a deposit. They didnt know simple math. My toes looked like my two year old did them! I literally had polish runnin on the sides and asked them to clean it up and fix it. The girl got an attitude. As for Jenny, I will get my daughter to come back.

I moved into the Fairmount area about 1 year ago. While very excited to experience life living in the city, I was highly disappointed to be leaving my nail salon back in the burbs and was not having an easy time finding any salon comparable (in value for my dollar). What’s a girl without her nail girl?! BUT, then a friend recommended Glo Nail Bar, which had just opened. Needless to say, the rest is history! I’ve been coming here regularly ever since. Sayma is who I’ve clung too (she’s great!), but I’ve witnessed the professionalism, talent and overall good vibes of every member of Glo Nails throughout my time coming here. The value is a great bang for your buck, clean and hip salon and everyone is fun, friendly and pleasant to be around. I highly recommend Glo Nail Bar, best in the area for sure!

Anyone that has anything bad to say about this nail salon is probably another nail salon trolling . I’ve been going here since I found out about this place & they are literally amazing. They shape your nails perfect 👌🏽 they design them perfectly . I love this nail salon and it’s the only one I go to 💯💜HAVENT been to another salon yet .

Sayma, Dani, Katie and all the ladies at Glo are amazing! They are all so sweet and a pleasure to be around! Their service is amazing and they make sure you’re 100% satisfied. I’ve had a dip powder manicure and pedicure there two separate times and each time has been wonderful!! Their pedicures automatically come with a sugar scrub with no up charge!! I HIGHLY recommend them and suggest you stop on by for a little self care !

Avoid avoid avoid! Seen this place instagram and thought the nails were cute. But the workers really are going to run this place to the ground. Unorganized cashapp deposits are very unprofessional for a business. And wear your mf masks!

My lash extensions came off the same day. Half a week later it’s barely any on. Same for my friend. Im not sure where they got their license from, but I’ve never had lashes shed so soon. A waste of time and money

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! My wife and I had an impromptu spa day after discovering Glo. We were in the neighborhood and the beautiful establishment caught our attention. After walking in we were greeted with smiles and attentive staff. We were offered drinks while we waited, and once the service began we were walked through the whole process, and given plenty of options for service. We will definitely return - thank you Glo Nail Bar!

This shop deserves 10 stars for their incredible service. I came in last minute on a lunch break, needing a polish change after a disastrous visit to another salon. I was quickly serviced by two young ladies who reshaped my nails and painted my nails and feet. Prices are reasonable for the exceptional service received. I found my new nailery.

I really wanted to like this place and tried to have a open mind going in but my manicure experience was unbelievable.I was referred to this salon by an acquaintance and instructed to ask for Tia. Tia does not work at this location primarily, shes only on-call. Knowing this I was still willing to give them a try as the nail salon I currently go to is so far and its becoming harder and harder for me to make it there regularly. Prior to my arrival I did call and let them know that I was particular about my nails and would appreciate it if I wasnt paired with a novice technician. I was assured everyone was more than capable. The salon is super cute and has only been open a week and they have little finishing touches left to do but still cute. It is cash only and they do have street parking but no parking lot. I didnt have any difficulty finding parking. The nail polish selection for SNS powder is very limited right now, as theyre a new shop and still adding to their inventory.So, lets get into it. Upon arrival I was greeted by all the ladies: Dani, Adrianna, and the owner(Sayma). Jenny appeared a little stand offish initially. I arrived at 3:45pm on a Wednesday. Adrianna started on my pedicure right away. She did a great job and checked with me to make sure everything was good throughout the process. She was very welcoming and I almost felt like I was hanging out with a old friend. Very personable. So, Adrianna finished my pedicure about 4:45...then it was on to my sns powder manicure with Jenny. This is where EVERYTHING went downhill for me. My real nails were super long when I entered the salon. I asked Jenny to cut them down slightly and keep the shape I already had (coffin). She could not get the shape right and made them way too narrow resulting in them having to be cut all the way down to somewhat correct the horrible shaping job. She did apologize for messing the shape up but still very disappointing. The paint job was horrible, the SNS powder wasnt applied evenly and way too thick, the polish was painted on sloppy and if thats not bad enough she was not finished with my nails until 8:30. 4:45-8:30 pm to jack my nails up. :-( Yup, you read that right!! My entire day wasted. I was upset that the owner never came over to ask if I like it, how things were going or to intervene and take over the job since clearly her technician didnt know what she was doing and taking way too long. Keep in mind I was the ONLY customer in the shop. So, it wasnt as if the owner had another customer. Towards the end Adrianna did jump in and try to help. Once my services were done the owner apologized that it took so long and offered to comp me a free spa pedicure on my next visit. Although, I appreciate her attempt, it wasnt enough. I showed her my nails and how terrible they were and she made excuses for her employee and the killer part is she still wanted me to pay full price for my manicure...bad business on her part. She did take a percentage off but I still had to pay for that awful manicure which is absolutely unacceptable. I will not be back. I hope they get better SNS powder technicians in there or train the staff much better (specifically Jenny) because my nails look absolutely hideous and I now have to go elsewhere to have them done over.

I have never been to either of the vile woman’s nails salons glo nails or Hollywood nails and you could NOT pay me to now. I hope you reconsider forking over your hard earned cash to this woman whom has the compassion of a Cobra, after you see these messages. I love getting my nails done! I have been dying to get them done for 4 months now with covid. I can promise you I am the last person that would want to make an appointment just to cancel. The first appointment I made at Glo. Unfortunately I had to cancel that appointment as my 9 month old daughter is receiving treatment at chop. The only reason I gave her an explanation (she wasn’t owed one) for my cancellation was because I felt awful about canceling on her the same day. I just wanted her to know it was for a valid reason, in that my daughter wasn’t doing well from her previous days chemo. That was my ONE and ONLY cancellation. I made a follow up appointment at her other location Hollywood nails after realizing it was closer to my home. The evening before my second scheduled appointment I wanted to see if she had any flexibility to move the appointment up if she had any cancellations for earlier in the day or when the next appointment was open.. after that initial message I let her know ten minutes afterwards that I was able to secure my mother in law to watch my daughter and that I would still in fact be able to make my scheduled appointment. The next morning I get this message saying that my appointment is canceled. That I can’t rebook because I have done so too many times. On what planet is two too many anyways... even though I really only cancelled once. Then this vile heartless vapid shell of a woman has the audacity to tell me that I “used my daughter’s chemo as an excuse.” I hope this exposes this woman for what she truly is, and that you reconsider giving either of her nail salon locations your business.

I got a full set and the girl cuts me and continues to do so when I told her stop and that it burned. My nails looked a mess and the photos on here are bogus I dm for a refund and they don’t even bother to reply !! bad service won’t last long. there’s plenty of other places to get ur nails done and this place isn’t one of them

While I love Jenni, my nails have been done less than 2 weeks and a whole hand of acrylics has peeled away. Each visit should not be a new set nor should I pay close to 80$ for a refill and toe polish change for it to not even last 15 days.

They have a strict on time policy yet they don’t even have parking around this location. so why be strict? and why get mad at customers when you know where your location is? parking isn’t very convenient around here, so you should really take note of that.

I booked an appointment for a full set on the 4th, 30 minutes before my appointment I get a message saying my appointment has been cancelled with no explanation and I already paid the deposit.

The place is nice inside, but I will not be going back. I asked for gel mani and pedi. I was rushed the ENTIRE time! This was a terrible first experience. I had two people working on me at the same time. I did not feel relaxed whatsoever. I was in and out in 30 mins. Not a good place for some relaxation. More like a fast food chain for nails.
