Great location, fair and reasonable pricing, more upscale than the cost you pay. Not really a family hotel, built for couples spending the night in town. Breakfast bar leaves you wanting.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Aloft downtown. The hotel is very well located and within easy walking distance to many sites of interest. The lobby is stylish and offers space to socialize, play a game of pool or enjoy a drink at the bar. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The boutique vibe is such a nice break from the routine big chain hotels. No parking on site but a public garage is just across the street. Our room was very small, but spotless, well-appointed and nicely decorated. The bed was made with crisp white linens, really comfortable and the city noise level on the 13th floor was non-existant. Would definitely stay there again.
Positive: Small room, but space was well used. Perfect size for our family. The bathroom was decorated very nicely, and suited our needs. We did not see any bugs or trash on the floor throughout the hotel. The view from our room was lovely. Negative: I would like to see breakfast included with hotel rates. There was a bit of orange lime along the base of the shower.
Hotel conveniently located. Elevators worked great without much wait, even though just 2. A few negatives included: towels not appropriate for guest number given in our reservation, water in the shower was SO hot (no cold water even an option to take a cold shower!) that not one of us in our family could shower under the water, and the back door to parking lot (only location for parking any of our attempts over our 3 night stay for a soccer tournament) would allow you back in so you had to walk around the building to get back in. In summary, stay ok but would likely not opt to stay here again, although we generally love W Hotels (or affiliates). The staff were fantastic and very friendly/helpful.
Stayed 2 nights at Aloft downtown Philadelphia. The staff was friendly the lobby was well decorated, clean and welcoming, but the rooms and hallways were a total miss for me the hallways were so dark my kids were nervous to walk alone the rooms cleanliness was not great, mattress was uncomfortable and beds were listed as a queen but felt more like a double. Our toilet didnt work at one point it was fixed asap just annoying. Not great for families.
My experience at your Aloft hotel in downtown Philadelphia. As a Titanium level member of your hotel brand, I was disappointed and insulted by the treatment that I received from your hotel manager the front desk staff was great. I specifically chose your location because my girlfriend had surgery (Cancer) and she needed to stay close to her hospital. I requested a change in room to accommodate my girlfriend’s comfort level, and the request was met with rude and condescending behavior. The Manager refused to accept my request as medallion long term member she wanted to charge me additional costs to do so. I was forced to leave the hotel and seek accommodations elsewhere. Having to change my hotel under those conditions increased the stress level of myself and my girlfriend. In addition to being treated poorly, I incurred additional costs associated with changing hotels. As an medallion member I will never stay at this hotel again or recommend anyone to stay there
First time staying in Philly, so we booked here for Father’s Day weekend. So far we have really enjoyed our stay. We met a great couple at the bar who been coming to the hotel for a few years. We also enjoyed the bartenders (Jamie & Jimsen/Jimson). Our rooms were clean and were able to check in ahead of schedule.I would definitely book here again. Thanks for the great stay!
The location, cleanliness, and room/view was great. However, as a visitor for my birthday with my closest friends, we were sadly unexpectedly kicked out of our room due to noise complaints from our neighbor who happened to be a Premium Member of the hotel. They did transfer us to a different room on a different floor after making a big scene at our door and telling us we’d be evicted. I was also charged an extra $75 on top of the already steep $175 security deposit we had to pay at check in for an “excessive cleaning” fee from the balloons we left in the hotel room which we would’ve cleaned up if we weren’t rushed to move to a different room. Extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism of the staff and not getting a warning before kicking us out.
Positive: The staff is awesome! And super accommodating. Negative: The room was super nice. But unfortunately, it was not what I picked online. It was a superior king with a city view. The pictures online were full of windows and a large space. While getting into the room the tv is almost kissing the bed. The bathroom as
I loved this hotel! It was clean and accessible to very famous locations around Philly. The hallways are dark and the rooms are dark as well so that is the mood. The staff are friendly and everything is clean.
Misha was so accommodating and always willing to help! She was extremely professional and always smiling and welcoming upon us returning back to hotel
Bartenders there make the place a thousand times more than what it already is there. Absolutely beautiful, hands down best place to stay in Pennsylvania!
Do not stay here. I had the worst experience here. We were kicked out of our room at around midnight because my friends and I were being “too loud”. We were forced to switch rooms and were told that they were just doing it to satisfy a platinum member that was right next us. They told us that they were on our side and we weren’t even being loud. Their security stood outside our room till we were all packed up and watched us go to our new room. We were told that our security deposit was going to be okay. Now a month later, we were charged an extra $75 on top of the $175 security deposit. They said there’s nothing they can do about it.Also, if you want your room and the whole floor to smell like weed. Come stay here because as soon as we arrived the hotel reeked of it.
The hotel is in an excellent location, the rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly. You could have an amazing stay if you never run into their front desk manager Andrew.I have never met such a malicious person working at a hotel in my life before. He seems to be keen on making your stay as miserable as possible. I had to extend my reservation and Andrew was refusing to do so. I had to wait until another staff member started their shift to do so.Another evening I called to ask for fresh towels, and Andrew answered the phone. He refused the towels and hung up the phone!A few days earlier a friend of mine was checking out of the same hotel, and forgot his scarf in his room, and Andrew refused to let him go back up to get his scarf. When I started reading the reviews on various websites, I was not surprised to find over 5 negative reviews about the front desk manager just within last year! He even barged in into one of the guests’ rooms without permission!I guess the manager in question must be related to their general manager mr Evans, or else I cannot see why such a rude disrespectful and malicious person would be allowed to work for an otherwise great hotel like Aloft.
The staff Jamie, Kiyona, Keisha & Misha are amazing. They made me feel like I was home.
I was excited to spend my significant other’s birthday at this hotel for a staycation, but was disappointed when (at 9pm) someone from the front desk comes to our room (not call, but came to our room) to notify us that a neighbor complained that he was “talking too loud”. When we expressed that he wasn’t talking that loud the young lady replied “well voices do travel”. I honestly feel that it was a racially motivated act and I will never stay here again. Here I am paying my money like everybody else and I am met with a complaint about talking too loud at 9pm. I am very disappointed and upset that our special moment was kind of ruined.
Super convenient location, especially if youre going to the convention center. It can get a bit noisy at night as its by the busy Broad Street, but thats what you get with the central location.
Positive: Location. Got upgraded. Early Check in Negative: Downton so gets noisy.
This was my second stay at Aloft Downtown Philly. The space is really neat. Its a beautifully redone Bank!😮My check-in experience was delightful.I believe it was Jamie at the front desk; she was such a doll. When I mentioned to her that last time I stayed there, my City View had the window & desk tucked into this tiny corner that was awkward to maneuver around to, - She did everything she could in making sure I got expactly the type of room I wanted with a better layout and decent view, instead of into the wall of another building.Even went the extra mile to ensure that I had a standing glass shower in the bathroom, instead of a bathtub. She even hooked me up a little by providing me with a cold water bottle out the fridge, after I asked if there were water bottles in the room. I guess because of Co-Vid they no longer put them in the rooms. 🤷♀️Jamie was excellent at providing me with service that made me feel important and appreciated & for that I appreciate her. Thanks to her, I was absolutely satisfied with my experience.I enjoyed the layout of the room I stayed in, 804 & I look forward to staying at an Aloft Hotel again, be it this one or some other location.Definitely one of my favorite Hotels Ive stayed in.
So I just looked into and booked a room for me and my girlfriends bday/anniversary surprise trip. I called and spoke with Jamie cause all my girlfriend wants to do is take a bath (we only have a stand up tiny shower at our house) and we live in Nola but my girlfriends is from philly where all her friends and family live. We are in covid times and she hasn’t seen them in so long. So naturally I wanted to surprise her for her bday. So I bought plane tickets and we are going to philly. I called so many hotels. I just wanted to be able to light candles and make a bath and maybe give my lady some bubbles everywhere I called was so short and only slightly helpful, enter Jamie a true blessing. I called aloft looked at picture thought it was such a cool funky hotel which is right up mine and my girlfriends style but I didn’t see tubs in the pictures. She informed me only a few do that if I booked she’d make sure I had the room that does. So naturally I book. I called back cause I’m a planner and needed to make sure it was perfect I’m spending so much money to get her home and get a good hotel in a decent area so naturally it means a lot that things are right. When I called back Jamie answered again we talked and was so sweet and patient with me. She made sure to look up rooms that had tubs made sure I had the best view and a nice room cause I told her the plan and how important it was to me. Honestly haven’t even stayed there Yet but from these two phone calls alone and talking to Jamie you can really tell this is a place that cares about their guest and I’m so excited to stay there. she made sure to make sure to make notes so they wouldn’t move our room. Best booking process I’ve ever had.
We had an amazing stay at Aloft in downtown Philly! We were planning to stay at an Airbnb nearby when we had extremely loud neighbors which caused us to find a new place to stay in the middle of the night. We called Aloft and Nora at the front desk picked up and had us come over immediately. She welcomed us and made us feel right at home. She checked us in quickly in the middle of the night, helped us get settled in and up to sleep ASAP. We couldn’t have been more grateful to be greeted by her. The next day there was another friendly face at the front desk who was very helpful with information about the surrounding area. (Unfortunately we didn’t catch his name). The room was aesthetically pleasing, clean and quiet.
Positive: The price of the room was great. Also the whole check-in process was easy and a good experience. The guy at the desk was pleasant and professional. Negative: There was no microwave in the room.
Horrible..they dont have any parking or valet. rooms were small and halls look like something out ofa scary movie.
Beautiful place and very safe and clean.I recommend the Aloft for any single person or family
Positive: Location was great Negative: The ceiling leak
The hotel looks nice and the staff was friendly and thats why Im giving it 3 stars. The room was very dim but that wasnt a big deal. The issue was the wrong was dirty when I arrived. The trash was full, there were feathers from the pillows every where and the bed was covered in what Im guessing was dog fur which means the sheets must not have been changed.
Rooms not impressive. Limted service
Quiet and clean. Disappointed the pool table wasnt open and there was no maid service.
This hotel is hands-down my best first stay in Philly. In the center of it all in Central city - therea really no location more perfect than where Aloft is. With a Trader Joes right accross the street, week-long stays are just as good as home stays. Some of the attendants however are just not as warm and friendly cognizant of what a Marriott of this art-deco caliber staff should offer. Definitely checking in again though!
Beautiful hotel. Located Downtown Philadelphia. Employees are great.
So I stayed here for a few days the rooms I was put in was very nice the main thing that I loved was the fact that the tv was Bluetooth I was able to play my music and not have to use the remote and also the room was a nice size only problem I really didn’t like was the fact that it was issues with the hot water but jamie was so patient, caring and just very sweet in general ♥️ Oh and Andrew I think that’s his name and it was another guy that was sweet I never got a chance to get his name but you guys keep up the great work🥳
The hotel is nice but the rooms are small but it is called Aloft hotel!!! Beautiful
Had a great visit with my daughter. The Aloft is located right downtown close to all Philly has to offer! So much history and all within walking distance of the hotel.
This place was great Its so much history in what use to be an old bank..Took your key & forgot to turn it in....No Worries..Its a souvenir...
Confusing check in. The side door is not clearly marked so I drug my luggage up the main entrance stairs alone while 2 employees watched and didnt offer assistance. If its your first time to the hotel how are you supposed to know about the side door? Post instructions on the main door directing customers. Good location, kinda safe area for solo guests.
Awesome stay.....and front desk was very pleasant.....would stay there anytime...
Positive: Checking inn was just perfect wouldn’t except my ID. Yes my ID was expired but I had the picture card from the DMV she said cause my old ID was expired but the card from the DMV didn’t have pic she wouldn’t che Negative: The woman at the checkin desk I asked for the manager she said she was this was around 12:30 am on 12/25 was only there for one night
I spent the first night in the room and tried to get the heat working all night and took a cold shower because the water wouldn’t get warm. They moved me into a different room the next day. The toilet in the new room stopped flushing (it wasn’t stopped up), water was still like warm, and the sink wouldn’t drain properly. I called the front desk & she said they would send someone up, but I asked to be moved and she was rude, rushed me off, and hung up on me...8 second conversation at the most. This is my first time in Philly and I should’ve went somewhere else. I wasted my money. Very unhappy... I have another night here and I don’t even want to be in this hotel anymore.
Positive: This hotel was in an excellent location and allowed us to walk to the historic areas and to restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Negative: Parking was very expensive. It would be better if hotel guests received a discount.
Im not going to deny it, it is a nice place. The pillows are weak, but everything else is great. Including the showerhead. It just seems to have a desperation for some hipster appeal that I dont understand the marketability of. I feel like if they just took their foot off the gas just a bit it would ride smooth.
Rooms were small, everything felt kinda unkept
Great basic hotel close to Convention Center. Good neighborhood eateries nearby. We used Valet parking with no problems. All Front desk & hotel team were friendly & helpful. The room was very clean. No problems with WiFi. Second stay here & we will stay again. We had a spacious corner room with good City street Views.
This was the absolute worst hotel experience I have had to suffer through in my life. The front desk staff was absolutely rude and unpleasant. Maurice was the most rude, condescending, unpleasant and downright disrespectful receptionist I have ever come across. I don’t understand how a well respected chain such as Marriott would allow someone like this to work there. I will be taking my elite rewards status to Hilton in the future. Please avoid at all cost. I will never waste my time and money at this hotel again.
My sons apartment was flooded due to a fire in the apartment above his, so he had to relocate immediately with his cat. He was busy dealing with landlords and insurance people, so I researched nearby hotels that would take pets. I found another one, but the rate for taking the cat was twice the rate for the room! The Aloft was happy to have both my son and his cat at no extra charge. He stayed a couple of nights and then we all stayed for another two nights when we came to Philadelphia to help him pack up what he could salvage from his apartment. The Alofts staff was warm, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is modern with a nice informal vibe. The lobby has games - a pool table and board games, and it offers food and beverages well beyond the usual hours. I noticed several groups of people there with kids of varying ages who enjoyed being able to be together in the lobby rather than being cooped up in their rooms. The rooms are fine, simple, very clean, and they have everything you need including an in room coffee maker. We will be back.
Great location, clean, comfortable room, modern vibe. Parking across the street is a bit of a challenge and costly but you will pay anywhere you stay downtown. Good price for a downtown hotel.
The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. This is very close to the convention center. It took us 15 minutes to walk to Independence Hall and Liberty Bell. It was a nice walk through Chinatown. The nice lady at the front desk gave us a map and directions. I would stay here again!
We enjoyed the Aloft Philadelphia Downtown hotel so much! It was perfect for walking around and enjoying all there is to see. Super close to the Reading Terminal, China Town, Liberty Bell and Soo much more. We loved the lobby/bar the most! It was 1 large room with pool table and tons of games to enjoy with friends. Drink prices were very reasonable, which is almost unheard of at most hotel bars. And the esthetics of the hotel are wonderful touches! We will definitely stay again should we find ourselves in Philly again!
Great location right near the convention center. The rooms are on the smaller side, however, youre barely in them so there was more than enough room when we were actually in it. Good size bathrooms. Bed and sheets were very comfortable. The lobby and outside bar area were great! All the staff was very friendly and I felt very safe the entire stay.
Dirtiest, most disgusting place. Room wasn’t cleaned properly at all. Found hair in the showers and on toilets. White fluid stain on carpet and on desk... Yuck 🤢. I arrived in the middle of the night after my flight was cancelled because of a storm. I didn’t notice details (besides hair in shower and on toilet) until morning. To be honest, this place feels like a decorated homeless shelter.
Good hotel, decent loft. The lobbys colorful lighting and decors gave a fancy impression. Staff was friendly and responsive. The room was good, pretty clean and comfortable. The shower area was spacious despite being in a smaller bathroom. Overall, it could be more lofty for my taste, by putting in more industrial design elements, instead of just the dark color scheme everywhere.
The Aloft hotel was a great location to experience all of Philadelphia. It was convenient walking distance to many tourist attractions and places to eat. We were there during the holiday season and the staffing of the hotel could have been better. The staff there was pleasant and professional, but they needed more people there to meet the needs of the guests. The lobby and outside area is functional and fun to hang out with your hotel guests. Food and beverages are available to purchase, but it was unclear on how to pay for them. There is coffee and water in the lobby, but it was not refilled on a regular basis. The room quality was average. Nothing fancy, but adequate for the stay. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows.
From the moment I stepped in front of A loft, the valet men were attentive, helpful, & kind. Once I got to the front desk, the representative was so helpful, and extremely sweet! My fiance and I stayed at the hotel for Valentines Day, and ended up canceling our dinner reservations out in the city due to the COLD weather. So, we stayed in the hotel and went to the bar, which ended up being a much better idea! The bartenders were great, and I, myself am not a fan of hotel food .. but the aloft had really great food that we brought up to our room! Thanks so much for an amazing stay!
Great staff. Good view of the city. Wonderful experience. Only thing I didnt try was room service
This tends to be our go to hotel when we stay in the city. The location is ideal for getting around. It?s right by the Reading terminal market and shopping districts. And if we don?t want to park it?s an easy train ride in from the suburbs. The decor is fun the rooms are a good size and it has a nice hotel bar
Room was the size of a shoe box. Night Staff was terrible
It’s our first time in philly (aside from the airport) and we learned parking is a nightmare, there is absolutely no outside dining within walking distance even though we’re downtown (thanks Covid) BUT there is a trader joe and a liquor store within 5 minutes walking! Talk about a great location, especially even under normal circumstances because you can buy less expensive, healthier meals. Kudos to the staff who was super polite and honestly exceeded expectations. We were super impressed with their acknowledgement that the trip might not be as enjoyable due to circumstances that are completely out of their control and that meant a lot. (Not that we blame the hotel in ANY way). We look forward to when we can return and enjoy everything, I know we will be choosing ALOFT. Clean, efficient, customer oriented... and the soaps smell amazing!
Staff very unfriendly and didn’t wear mask properly, when talking to me and my friend, tone was also very unfriendly, and my friend is titanium member, don’t know why we were being treated like this.Room was fine, staff not fine.
What an awesome stay in downtown Philly. The building was neat and tidy, the staff friendly, the bar area and food was good, I did not have to leave the hotel for the night. I like the modern and minimal theme. I would definitely stay again. I was on a higher floor and my view was spectacular!
My boyfriend and I stayed here to get away for the weekend. Due to covid we were planning on just staying in the room most of the time and getting take out and catching up on sleep. Saturday night we were sleeping and the fire alarm goes off at 3 am. We both woke up scared not knowing what was going on. The front desk calls us asked if we were smoking, no we were not also it’s 3 am. Then maybe after 10-15 mins of this obnoxiously loud alarm is going off a man comes to our room to turn it off and leave. No apologies, nothing. I have contacted the hotel and Marriott with no replies regarding this, nothing more then someone will contact me. For a $500+ Stay I would have hoped to have a better experience. I would never stay here again, or at any Marriott owned hotels after experiencing such poor costumer service.
The hotel room was wonderful, really spacious clean and modern. Check in was easy, and the check in staff were friendly. My whole stay was let down by two things...I went to the bar in the evening during happy hour and ordered a round of drinks, I opened a tab to pay for them.Happy hour ended at 7 so at 6:50 ordered another round of drinks. The bar tended brought them over to us just after 7. He charged us the usual price for the drinks because he put them through the till after happy hour was over. Little did we know there would be more problems, when we checked the credit card statement after leaving the hotel he had charged the card for first round and then both rounds in the overall bill. Awful service at the bar to the point where one of the check in staff actually came over and told him that he was behaving unprofessionally as people were waiting to be served and he was messing around. The day we were leaving I tried to call down to valet but the phone didnt work so on the way out for breakfast I asked reception if they wouldnt mind calling down to valet and asking for our car to be outside for 12. I gave them all the details and they said it was no problem. We got down there and low and behold valet said they did not have the request so we had to wait. These two experiences ruined a stay at a lovely hotel and Aloft really need to check some of there bar staff.
Its hard to beat the Aloft in downtown Philadelphia for convenience, great people, and a great stay. Traveling as a group (twice), we had great stays both times. Top to bottom and inside and out (literally), things went smoothly. Front desk, bell desk, valet, bartenders, and everyone were great.
Positive: It’s basically staying in a jail cell This was the smallest room I ever stayed in You can touch the bathroom sink from the bed Very small and expensive not to mention the $175 hold the put on your card Negative: Wish I could attach pics. So small.
This place is awesome, even during COVID, especially during COVID. Rooms are awesome, incredible views, masks and social distancing are de rigeur.
Aloft Philly is in a great location and a very cool hotel. Lobby and bar are spectacular. Outside bar looks cool too, but it was snowing so we took a pass on that. Staff was great. Our room was sleek, nice decorated and clean. Only arguable negative is that our room was a little small. I get that many hotel rooms are small in big cities, and I have stayed in smaller rooms, but FYI. Gym is in the old bank vault, small, but functional. Overall place is great with that caveat re the room size.
This Aloft has friendly and attentive service. The historical building is cool. The rooms are good- basic like Aloft is. We like the rooms with windows on two sides and the ones that have the bedroom around a wall from the front. Great location. Food is average. The market is convenient.
My experience at this hotel was superb and its unforgettable. The view was pretty beautiful. I like their quick services and the dedication their staff work with. Food was very tasty and the price was charges also decent. So my overall experience at this hotel was great and i would like to recommend this hotel.
Tiny room but super comfortable and exciting decor felt special. Amazing view. Thank you for free coffee!! Reasonably priced drinks at cool bar w stylish and nice bartenders w free pool table and oversized games all around modern comfy seating area. Ill always look for an aloft hotel from now on.
Located at the heart of the city. If you are looking for a place to stay for sight seeing, would definitely recommend this place. It’s close to many attractions, and it’s suitable for family and couples. Enjoyed our stay during thanksgiving. The valet staff was very helpful. Overall a nice place in the city.
Got a deal that was cheaper than the cheapest air b&b. This place was hip af. From the lobby to the rooms; from the hotel bar to the atmosphere. Would DEFINITELY come back. Not to mention, the location was second to none. Parking was available on the other block and within walking distance.
This tends to be our go to hotel when we stay in the city. The location is ideal for getting around. It’s right by the Reading terminal market and shopping districts. And if we don’t want to park it’s an easy train ride in from the suburbs. The decor is fun the rooms are a good size and it has a nice hotel bar
I stayed at Aloft hotel for a recent conference and enjoyed my stay. The guestrooms were nice and the staff was friendly. Would stay again. The rooms are a bit smaller so I would recommend for a solo stay if traveling for business. The location of the hotel was right next to the convention center and was near the reading terminal market for great food and shopping.
Love this place. Never know who ur gonna see. Very chill atmosphere. Get bartender I think her name was Madeline super nice and love her hard work shell always has a smile on her face and very professional
In August 2018, we provided our wedding guests a block of rooms at Aloft. To say they were amazing would be an understatement. Every single employee was more than accommodating and helped us with every need. The rooms are so tidy and well maintained. We have since moved from Philadelphia, however, when we go back we will be staying at Aloft for sure. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!! Thanks so much!
The hotel staff is great the room was up and beyond our expectations and they welcomed our dog with mo problem. We had a king room with a city view
Didnt even get to stay! My sister was going to stay there and her reservation got cancelled. NEVER ONCE did the reservation say an employee reservation had to be processed or authorized before arrival. I wasnt staying nor did I approve a credit card authorization form. Marriott PRIDES itself on the treatment of their employees and guests. It is very unfortunate this property doesnt abide by that!
Beautiful space, very nice rooms, excellent service. Our room was on a high floor which helped a lot with street noise. The AC has a loud hum but I sleep with white noise anyway. The bed was comfortable which is one of the most important things. Nice shower in the bathroom, but possibly the loud toilet flush I’ve ever heard; you’ll hear toilets from other rooms.Great location that’s easily walkable to food, drink, and entertainment.
Very clean, small boutique hotel. Good for needing a drink at the bar, place to get ready at / come back to. Not very busy for a summer saturday. Which can be nice. Bar staff were friendly and really great. Wings at happy hour were small, very fried. Room was comfy, good view and nice to relax in. Front desk staff were great and responsive to the mobile chat. Mobile key worked great as well. I used points, and as a gold member even with a low occupancy did not receive an upgrade which I have before on a voucher. Not a big deal though.
The only thing that we enjoyed about this hotel was the location. We stayed for (2) nights, November 13-15, 2019 and had the following issues1. The room was halfway cleaned after the first night. The pillows were on the floor and awful compared to the night before. I’ve purchased better pillows for less than $10 from Target.2. From 3:00 - 3:45 am on our 2nd night, we awoke to screaming and doors slamming for 3/4 or an hour. We ended up having to call security to resolve the issue.3. I brought these issues up at checkout and was told I would be called by an assistant manager to discuss the issue, but nobody from the hotel ever reached out to me.For a 3-star hotel, we were beyond disappointed and will never stay here again. We paid over $500 for (2) nights, so there are much better places to stay in Philadelphia for that cost.
Noisy, parking is terrible, and no room service, but there is a bar downstairs. I could hear conversations in neighboring rooms clearly and even hear the sound of them drawing their windows blinds. Also, the sliding door in the king sized unit I stayed in had huge gaps when it was closed, which I think might be awkward if you were on a romantic vacation with a partner (on account of the lack of privacy.) However, the rooms are spacious and the building is nicely decorated. I had chosen this hotel because I though aloft hotels were newer, but this one was from the 1920s I think. My reason for this was because I tend to have a lot of trouble with allergies in hotels, but I was perfectly fine here.
This is such an AWESOME hotel. Between the view, the service and the super friendly guest service agents, everything was perfect! 10/10 would definitely recommend! Kekian at the front desk was STELLAR! The bar and the pool table in the lobby was definitely an added bonus, too! Ill definitely be back next time I come to visit Philly!
Here for a quick night, used the mobile app and requested early check-in of 1pm. Got notified at 11am my room was ready, mobile key and all. Staff attentive with requests on the app, room was upgraded but not as big as expected. 11 line rooms have a nice view of the bridge but smaller windows and less sunlight, interior facing concrete shaft. W XYZ and the Backyard are great places to relax and mingle, day/night. Given 4pm late check out without a hassle. Staff always friendly in halls.
Excellent weekend stay. Staff and rooms are amazing. The location is central to everything in Philly. The rooms are extremely clean, and the staff are very courteous and helpful. We were celebrating a birthday, and the front desk manager gave us a coupon for two free drinks in the lounge which was a nice touch. We liked the lounge/lobby for the atmosphere and the variety of games that were available. This hotel made us feel very comfortable and an enjoyable stay. We will be back!
Had a great time at the aloft. rooms were very clean and upto date . Staff was friendly. Location of the hotel was perfect! rite close to everything we wanted to see all within walking distance .. never been to Philadelphia prior to this trip and loved every minute of it we will be back !
Pros: great location and clean roomsCons: forget about internet without signing up for some kind of club or service. forget about it...Im not interested in the hassle. I just want to be able to do some work without being bothered to sell my personal information or set up passwords, etc. This is not an inexpensive hotel room and for that reason I would expect some kind of breakfast options that are a step above packaged food. To buy said packaged food, one has to wander about the hotel figuring out how to pay for it. Its a stupid system. The lobby is pretty all bling and pretty tasteless. If you like the loud techo music pumping in the background youll probably feel at home. Its an effort to be hip, but I prefer something more tranquil and less in my face. Pros: Rooms are clean and staff is friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is really great. Close to the convention center if thats where youre traveling, but also close to many great parks, museums, and other cultural highpoint in Philly. Overall my experience was good, but there are other options that Ill consider in the future.
My second time here - stayed 2+ nights each time. Great location, close to the airport (short 20 minutes Lyft ride). Its in a historic building - the lobby is amazing - plenty of place to sit, lounge, grab a drink, work or just play pool!Staff is excellent and always ready to help - with a smile. Room was excellent - the ones higher up have awesome views too. Room is clean, comfortable and has everything that you need.Cant go wrong here!
Loved it all! All staff was excellent! Great bar menu maxing scotch and whiskey ( Ángels envy ) staff was helpful with sight seeing and events. I had a great experience ! Will be back next weekend !
The value of this hotel is one of the highest in the area. Affordable and grand. The artsy vibe comes off genuine and not pretentious. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Great value for the price. Staff are super competent, and they made it really easy for me to travel with my dog. The room was immaculate and stylishly decorated. I really enjoyed the view of the city. It is in one of the nicer parts of the city and I felt safe walking in the immediate vicinity by myself, even at night.
Had a great experience. Friendly staff fast check in. Asked for extra pillows and they were waiting for me when I returned to my room. Nice facility with a fun lobby. Nice quiet room and fast elevators.
Great place to stay if you are visiting Philly. The hotel is extremely clean, the rooms are very comfortable, and it has a rather hip/cool feel to it. Great location too! Very close to great restaurants and a quick walk to a variety of different shops/sites. I would recommend to anyone looking to visit Philly.

The hotel and staff were very professional and friendly. The hotel is very stylish and clean. The hotel rooms have very thin walls and you can hear water running and mechanical systems cycling on and off. Overall I would ask the front desk for a quiet room if they have one.
The staff and property are outstanding. My room was perfect. The front desk team were the best Ive experienced in a long time. Very responsive and thorough while at the same time friendly and fun. Love the historic vibe of the building and the workout area was in the bank vault! Great location right next to the convention center. Loved the Aloft Philadelphia all around!
