We stayed at this hotel over the weekend and it is amazing! The location is perfect because it is right in center city making everything accessible and walkable. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean. Everyone working there is so nice and accommodating. It was very easy to check-in and out with little to no contact with the front desk. They also have delicious breakfast and restaurant downstairs in their lobby. I highly recommend this hotel!

The property’s location is awesome. It seems old but well updated. I think they recently renewed the lobby and restaurant area as the current hot decor trend. Classy modern mood is well-matched with Philly. During walking through hallway, I felt like I were in private museum because of their arts. My family(2 adults and 1 kid) stayed in king bed suite which was quite spacious. I like their Lea restaurant, too. The server with British accent(?) was super kind. (another lady was not) Wanna update my home like this place.

I left my cellphone in the room and discovered it 8 hours after I checked out. I went back and everyone there was SO helpful. The valet watched my car for me so I could run it. The front desk called housekeeping immediately. The on-site manager came down immediately to check the room and the lost-and-found. They did all this in a matter of minutes - and sure enough it had been turned in! Thank you to the housekeeping staff for realizing I left the phone and turning it. They even placed it in plastic - nice touch during these Covid times! Thank you Philadelphia Westin!

The location is great we were able to walk to restaurants and to one of the museums we came to visit but it was hard to locate the hotel entrance coming off the elevator into the mall due to insufficient signage. Theres no vending machines inside the hotel and I was traveling with a diabetic who had an unexpected drop in blood sugar. We had to leave the hotel at midnight to go to Rite Aid to find a sufficient snack since what we packed didnt work. Most hotels have a small area where drinks/snacks can be purchased and charged to the room. The staff was pleasant and helpful and I really like the ability to stream to the TV without having to sign into public wifi.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. I tried to extend my stay for one day due to work and was told by the front desk clerk that he couldnt help me. He said that I had to use the Bonvoy app on my phone. I did while standing there with the clerk, who then said I was all set. I lfound out later the next day after returning back to the hotel that I was checked out. Due to the hotel suspending cleaning services, my work colleague, who was also staying at the Westin during the same time period, had requested clean bath towels on the 3rd day of his stay and was handed towels wadded up in a bundle. He said that he never used them because he was fearful that he was handed dirty towels.

My family and I stayed in the Westin on July 3rd in there Executive Suite. But there were a few issues, The ice bucket had mold and rust stains under the lid, and the coffee marker disappeared it was in our room when we checked in but when we came back later on that night it was gone. The walk in shower water didnt drain properly it leaves about 2 inches of puddled of water around your feet.I highly doubt I stay here again for the room to have been a Executive Suite I had higher expectations.

Accommodations were very nice: clean, functional, cozy. We took issue with the parking. Upon arriving was told both valet & self-park were equivalent with in-&-out privileges by both a valet employee & front desk employee. Ended up not being the case & had to pay a considerably exorbitant amount of money in just parking for a single night stay. Even worse, if you do opt to self park I can say with near certainty it’s the single most confusing leveled parking garage to navigate...at one juncture on the second level I was told by a parking attendant to drive in the opposite direction of the arrows, super dicey. In short, if staying here just valet & be prepared to pay around $70 a day for it.

We booked a room block for our wedding here this past weekend. We stayed in the Presidential Suite. We had multiple extra unforseen charges that would make me warn anyone from doing the same for their wedding.1) $250 deep cleaning fee for confetti that was not told to us until after the wedding and ridiculous for the amount of confetti we popped (one bottle, large pieces that we could have vacuumed in 15 min if I knew they were going to charge this). It was almost the price of the entire suite. I spoke to the manager Karim Ware who was not willing to decrease the rate. Popping confetti in bridal suites is extremely common for bridal suite photos and when asked about this at other hotels nobody had any issue for it so Im shocked that they charged this here and were not willing to budge on the fee. Karim said part of the fee was also due to moving furniture around (since when is this an additional fee?)2) Advertising rooms on 3rd party sites and not honoring the reservations -- my parents booked a 2 bedroom double bed room online LastMinuteTravel.com with the voucher as proof. The hotel didnt have this in their inventory despite it being advertised online and having the printed voucher which is false advertising. They forced my parents to pay for 2 king rooms instead, which was double the price. I would think they would just give 2 king rooms for the 2 bed price we already paid with the voucher given that this is not our mistake and explicitly writes that its for a 2 double bed room on the voucher, but they instead forced us to pay double for two rooms that nobody wanted. Karim was also unwilling to make an exception for this.3) Room mishaps with other guest rooms -- ex. a family friend reserved a one bedroom suite online and had to argue at the front desk to get it as they said she only reserved a regular king suite. This was just an additional stressor we had to email about the night before our wedding.4) Throughout the weekend, several guests said there was no one at the front desk picking up phone calls. I myself faced the same issue and spent a lot of time trying to get simple things brought up because no one was picking up.Overall, the suite was beautiful but the extra fees and customer service were not. I would not recommend this hotel at all as we ended up paying significantly more than we anticipated and customer service was poor.

I have previously stayed at the Westin in Philadelphia five years ago and back then I would have given it four stars. I have to admit it has declined. The beds and pillows need to be replaced and it also wasn’t as clean as it could be. The hallways desperately need to be vacuumed and it seems so stuffy like the air filters need to be changed. Especially when Covid is affecting the world I know places are short staffed but these things shouldn’t be overlooked

Spent the night to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and location was awesome. Restaurant was around the corner, entertainment was in walking distance and the one attraction my wife has wanted to see was only a block away. Only thing that would have been a little nicer, it would have been helpful to know the hotel was under renovation. We were given a free drink voucher from the front desk at check in and were looking forward to sitting in the place we saw online and not a make shift bar in a conference room. Either way, we got our drinks and enjoyed them in our room. Would definitely recommend The Westin and look forward to staying again.

I enjoyed a solo stay at the Westin in a spacious, comfortable room with a city view at a quite reasonable ‘group rate’ offered as an attendee of the Symposium. I was undisturbed and a fan of the heavenly bed, appreciating the quality furnishings and vintage wallpaper. I felt very safe and enjoyed returning to my room nightly. I recommend the restaurant- healthy, tasty choices —I was happy to see Sourdough toast as a reasonable option for breakfast, for example. The coffee’s good (Starbucks) in the room and elsewhere. The bathroom offers plenty of room for toiletries- a fan would be nice, but I imagine all was constructed before that requirement appeared. . I was within walking distance to stores and drugstores, DiBrunos, cabbed and Ubered to a restaurant and back to meet a friend. I can’t respond about nightlife, etc., as I didn’t venture out a lot. The various meeting rooms for great or few numbers were outstanding. Highly recommend!

As a Marriott rewards member with 100+ night this year and 1180+ life time stay I was extremely disappointed with the service level at the Philadelphia Westin. My work scheduled had changed and I needed to check out early (I wanted to give the hotel the heads up that they would have a room sooner). At check in I was told, by the gentleman working the front desk, that regardless of when I was checking out that I would be charged the full amount as I was out side the 72 hour window. I fully understand policy and procedure but the tone and passive aggressive approach was none professional. When I asked for the managers information I was told he was the assistant manger and policy is policy. After asking again for information he retrieved his card. I explained that my company has a strong partner ship with Marriot family and as a fairly large customer in Philadelphia was their anything we could do? I was told yet again in a unprofessional tone that and I quote well you booked under the AAA rate so if your company had a policy you dont qualify. I book all my travel through the company travel site so not even sure how that happened but now he offended me as both as an employer and a AAA member. I will NEVER use the Philadelphia Westin again and now question the Westin Family as a whole. In addition the hotel was under remodel with no lounge, sub par gym, and sub par lobby !!

I am not trying to bash Westin Hotels & Resorts or get something for free, but there are several things that should be addressed. I stayed at this Hotel in May and had several bad experiences, but I figured it was just a one-off and would try it again. Oddly enough, not much changed. I didnt have another drunk guy trying to get into my room at 2:30 in the morning, thinking it was his, a hotel car valet sleeping in a car out front, an electrical power outage during breakfast in the restaurant, or a stifling hot dingy room, but I did still have drama. The room I checked into this time was cool, but still dingy. The carpet had high traffic wear, was stained and probably needs to be replaced. The several layers of paint covering up moisture problems in the bathroom, on the ceiling and door, stained marble tile, and broken tub and shower fixtures were back, only this time in a different room. The bed was very comfortable, as it was before, and the towels and linens were inviting. The breakfast buffet was disappointing. The hot food was warm at best, lacked freshness, and was not worth the value. The check in service was excellent. The location is excellent, and the amenities are good. I was unable use the car valet because no one was available when I arrived on site. Overall poor experience for a Westin, I know they are better than this. If you are looking for mediocrity, a place to sleep, and expect little then you will be happy staying here. At this time I would not recommend this property, until they bring back the quality.

Front desk staff were extremely friendly. After coming up from the lobby they always greeted us warmly - both day and night. Decor in the lobby and rooms was also thoughtful. Felt like we were in the great city of Philadelphia with the chairs upholstered in fabrics with Constitution signatures and Ben Franklin. The classic details in rooms like crown molding, brass doorknobs and white marble baths lended to a hotel located in a city with such rich history. I also really enjoyed the wood doors in the lobby that automatically opened. Again, it blended classic design with a modern twist. The fresh fruit in hallways and coffee/tea/water in the lobby added a small touch feels like the hotel cares for its guests. It complemented the cleverly-named lobby bar. It makes one ponder If I have time for water, why not make time to enjoy a drink?Location is top-notch. Near plenty of unique Philly-only restaurants and sightseeing locations but also close to chain stores for shopping. My only complaint would be the overall cleanliness of the room. The bedding and carpet were clean. However, there was dust on the light fixtures and headboard, the bathroom walls were stained and the light switches were very dirty. Common in most hotels but this hotel has such personality I would have liked to see it pay attention to these details.

Amazing hotel. Clean, spacious rooms. Adjacent to a shopping mall. Everything that you need is within walking distance. More shopping, restaurants, sight seeing, the subway. All of the staff that we encountered were very friendly. The only thing that I didnt like was the design of the shower head. It sits high in the air so ( especially if youre short)the water falls on top of your head as opposed to hitting your body. The water pressure is also low and it takes a while for the water to get hot. Theres a fully stocked bar with snacks and the fridge is stocked with drinks (that will be automatically charged to your room in you consume them). Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely stay here again if we were to come back to Philadelphia.

You can see in some areas where this used to be a St Regis, but you can definitely see why its not. Lobby is pretty and clean and comfortable. Room and bed nice, but part of staying in a hotel is not having to take care of the details.Check in was fine, but when we got to the room, both the safe and phone didnt work, and there were not enough towels, nor was there shampoo or body wash. We let the desk know this around 9pm, around 10pm we called again for the towels and shampoo which was then brought to the room. We didnt expect the mechanical repairs to be done until the next day. Well the next day we got back from sightseeing around 6pm, nothing repaired and no maid service. We called again regarding the repairs but asked if they could be done the next morning after 9am, when we had left for the day. Got back to the room around 4-5pm and no repairs yet. They did finally show up that evening. The last night of our stay I noticed that the cold water faucet on the sink was leaking onto the counter whenever it was turned on. I didnt call about the repair since we were leaving in the am, but felt bad because I had been accusing my son of getting water all over the counter.Bottom line, we are loyal SPG customers, the staff was always nice and friendly, but the facilities are aging and would probably stay somewhere else if I were in Philly again.

We were surprised when we saw the main lobby completely under construction. This was an unpleasant way to enter and exit the building and no one was helping guests navigate the work zone. More importantly, we had no hot water when we were there, so the renovation seems to be beyond just the lobby. People at this property are great, but Marriott should disclose the situation, and guests should not pay full price for partial service.

Centrally located hotel, Close to all siites and shopping. Walking distance to historic centre, Kimmel center and museums. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous. The waiters in the bar would serve items that are not even on the menu upon asking. The room is beautiful and spotless as is the bathroom. The bed is very comfortable.I am definitely coming back

My husband and I stayed at the Westin Philadelphia and it was a wonderful experience! Our room was very comfortable and very clean. The person who cleaned our room was so very nice, professional and cordial. Her name is Amparo and she was the sweetest and took care of us. We also had a great experience with Ms. Gerri, the Concierge. She recommended and made reservations for us at a couple of restaurants and they were excellent. Overall, it was a great time and we would definitely recommend this hotel!!

This my first visit to Philadelphia from Atlanta to visit my husbands family and we received excellent customer service. I received SPG member recognition and for my welcome to Philly, Paul upgraded my family to a suite and complimentary breakfast for the next morning. He made the start of our stay very pleasant. Valet was great and the staff during breakfast was great. The crib i requested for my daughter promptly arrived after I called for the request. We visited back in April, but I forgot to review. My first visit left a great impression! I will be back again and will definitely stay here.

All the staff were extremely professional and friendly. From the valet to the front desk, check in was a pleasure. Minor issues when we got to our room - the complimentary in room water bottles were opened and half empty, then it took 2+ hours and 2 phone calls to get the mini fridge unlocked. The late night dining menu after 11 pm was very limited (we called 11:02 pm and had only 2 or 3 salads and a sandwich to choose from) but the speed of room service delivery and the quality of the food itself were spectacular. Its not often I rave about a turkey club and side salad, but they were delicious! Overall, an absolutely beautiful hotel and extremely friendly, professional staff.

The Westin Philadelphia is right in the center of the city, and is a great value for all of its amenities. I live 15 miles away, but love to stay at the Westin when I have special occasions and want to stay overnight in Philly. The staff will go out their way to meet your needs, and the rooms are an upgrade from the standard hotel, while not being much of an upgrade in price.
