Staff are friendly and polite (mostly...), the rooms very clean and large enough for a couple of people. Location is great if youre working in the Navy Yard or going to an Eagles game. Only negative was the bar closed at 10PM, much too early. We had a bunch of people come in at 9:45, and we had to cajole the bartender to stay open for a few extra minutes past 10 to get everyone a drink. He wasnt terribly friendly or pleased with this. Overall, though, a nice hotel.
The best hotel in Philadelphia! Awesome staff, clean hotel and sheets, beds are very comfortable and the hotel smells amazing! I dont know what scent it is when you walk in the lobby but its seriously the most amazing smell ever. We stayed here in July when our Airbnb fell through. We were on a family vacation with our children and the place we were supposed to stay at was disgusting and we couldnt stay there. It was 1am and we were stranded in a city with our 4 kids, and far away from home. We drove around the city until 4am looking for any hotel to take us in, but no hotel was taking walk-ins. It was my 31st birthday, our kids were exhausted, and I thought for sure our trip was ruined. This place took us in a little after 4am and got us set up with breakfast in the morning. We ended up just staying here for the rest of the trip because we loved it so much. We didnt have to pay for parking since we were able to park on the street in front of the building. Our kids thought the Navy Yard was cool and we drove around every day checking out the older buildings and ships. We will definitely stay here again if we ever go back to Philadelphia!
Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your place. They compare countless booking websites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area. Ive been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it Im sure!Great spot to stay when visiting Phila. Convenient access to sports complexes, LIVE Casino. Mass transit to center city and Historic Old Town Philly, Theatre District and many awesome restaurants.
Finding this place is not simple but isnt hard either. Its in the Navy yard, some weird construction going on but its simple enough.Employees, first class. You have to pay for parking which I found odd because we arent in a city, its not a garage and theres parking all over. It was Saturday night and nobody was here. With that said, be prepared to pay for parking.Clean. This place smells clean, looks clean and was top notch.Employees. Amazing.Experience was a 5 of 5. Beautiful place and very affordable. With that being said it was not 200 dollars totalThat may be a lot to some people but I thought it was average for this level of excellence.
Ive been to many Marriotts around the country and World. This Marriott rates as on of the best. It is clean, and at a great location. The staff is so nice, friendly and helpful in every way possible . The restaurant in the lobby is outstanding with a great varied menu for all meals. Prices are very good for what you get. Ive had so many different choices. I think Ive had them all. I have yet to be disappointed ! I would highly recomend this Marriott!
Best kept secret for going to Philadelphia sports games/concerts if you are out of town. Relatively easy walk to the stadium complex and free parking. Only bummer is no free breakfast! Been there multiple times and every time it was clean
Great spot to stay when visiting Phila. Convenient access to sports complexes, LIVE Casino. Mass transit to center city and Historic Old Town Philly, Theatre District and many awesome restaurants.
Very nice Courtyard. Looks new. Comfortable bed, pretty quiet for being near a major airport and downtown Philly. There is a Bistro that serves a limited menu, and a bar. The wine pours looked generous.
An easy location to get to within the Naval Yard. Hotel property is very clean, though there isnt much to do in the area surrounding the hotel. There is a small park across the street. Parking is ample and free!
We paid over 200 dollars for one night, yet we still had to pay 20 dollars to park in their parking lot. We had a cocktail in the bar area, where the manager explained to us that we had to put our mask on in between sips and bites of food, which is absolutely ridiculous. I have no issues with covid rules and regulations, however their employees need to get on the same page. Definitely wouldnt recommend.
Positive: Pristine hotel with true ratings reflected in reviews. No gimmicks. The property is underrated Negative: It is in the Navy Yard. Not a convenient location for someone to stay if they want to be closer to the airport. Also construction and road blocks could make it even more challenging. Please dont charge $20 for parking. Remove the sign. Its demeaning.

Clean rooms. Staff is friendly and attentive. Meeting room was excellent, great venue for meetings.
Nice hotel, wish they could figure out how to sheet my bed properly
Gorgeous property! Courteous & Professional front desk staff. Room were clean & tidy wouldve like more towels than just (2)
Nice hotel but nothing around. You need a car to get to anything good. Staff are polite and helpful. Rooms are spacious and very clean.
Clean room, good service, good food, easy parking (free on the street), and close to the stadiums and Live casino. Will stay here again!
Nice new hotel, with all classic Courtyard features. The new Phila Naval Yard complex is nice, but the hotels Bistrio is the only real nearby food. Pay parking, though there is free street parking. The hotel has 2 free EV chargers and there are more on the street. Close to the stadiums, FDR Park, and the airport is just down the road. Rooms are quiet and clean. Hotel is dog friendly.
Stayed her for 2 nights. The location is great. Next to the sports stadium and a short drive downtown. I usually stay in center city, but the parking is so expensive. They have a paid parking lot here, but you can just park on the street. Its free to park on the street and there is so much parking. The room was spacious. The staff were friendly and the hotel is very nice. The location was key for me and it was perfect. I will stay again.
They had the main entrance blocked off with cones for no apparent reason which made access for uber/lyft frustrating and I had to answer to it. I think the manager of the hotel was upset and swearing at a security guard. Ahh, Philly, city of brotherly hate
Very nice place clean need shuttle bvb to stadium would pay for it gladly
Nice hotel, waking distance to the stadiums but not many restaurants around.
Pretty good. If the motel would offer shuttle service to the 76ers, Phillies, Eagles and the Flyers stadiums, which are all within 5 minutes from any of the above, a better rating would be given by myself and others who lodge there, Im sure.
Could have been cleaner, wall paper pealing off the bathroom wall. This place is so close to all the sports complexities yet no shuttle bus. We had to walk in the almost abandoned navy yard to get to Xfinety Live. Not sure if we will ever return.
Great hotel very clean food delicious and service was excellent
Absolutely love this hotel. Spacious room and very clean. Will definitely stay here again
Lets start with the only good thing this place is spotless very clean hotel rooms the daughter. Other than that my advice is go somewhere else unless youre an airport employee. There is absolutely nothing in the room to explain where to get food ice or anything else you may need nothing even saying when the restaurant is open if its open what it serves original by food speaking of restaurant it is the worst place Ive ever eaten. Upon checkout there was no one at the desk at all many many room cards laying on the counter because no one knew what to do with them when they left stay away from this place its overpriced and Marriott just has not care
Nice and clean. A great place to stay with easy access to the freeway. The staff is very professional.
Nice place, really impressed with the fancy shower! Bummer about the no free breakfast though.
This hotel is very close to the stadiums and arena. It is clean and a good place to stay
Super clean. Great staff. Great location. Will go back again!!!!
Beautiful. Amazing view. One of the most amazing rooms we have ever had anywhere. Bathroom was top of line, high water pressure. Beds were extremely comfortable. Service top notch. Terrible game!( there for Eagles game. Will definitely be staying here again!
Excellent hotel. Clean and quiet. Best night of sleep I’ve had in a long time. Recommended 👍🏻
I really enjoyed ☺ my stay.very good location i would bo it again ❤❤❤.
Very clean, very nice room/bathroom, and nice little bistro located in lobby. Building looked pretty sleek too
Excellent!! Friendly staff and very clean rooms!
Clean decor with professional service staff.
Nice place, just so empty... Dinged a star for charging for parking, despite no events. Park for free on the street. Navy Yard closed off streets unexpectedly, making access unclear.
Management staff is rude and unfriendly, however front desk workers really make the experience magical.
Clean room, the navy yard is so gorgeous and offers unique sights. Very close to the 3 stadiums.
What a gem, beautiful hotel at a great rate. When we stayed there they closed down the streets to none hotel guests since it is close to a navy yard. Our room had views of all 3 professional arenas in the area. Beautiful
The hotel was fabulous but parking is $20 per night unless you choose to park on the street. Hotel is located in a very nice area so that is not really an issue. Getting into and out of the hotel is currently difficult because a lot of the streets are blocked. Admittedly, I dont know if that is typical or not.
Absolutely beautiful hotel... The food at the restaurant was really good, the hotel was nice and clean, customer service was great.
Clean. Quiet and beautiful area. Friendly staff
They charge $20 for parking in an empty parking lot, rooms are clean and the front lady is really nice
Nice customer service. Clean .
Me being a Navy Vet, I was inquisitive as to what this place had to offer. Due to the current ongoing cornovirus 19 issues going on at the time of my stay, the streets and hotel where fairly void of human beings. I decided to take a leisurely stroll down to the Philly Navy Yards to reminisce about a time gone by for me . I love the historical feel to the place ...most older bldgs. are well maintained. The area is kept clean ( unlike what I observed driving thru Philly to get here ). Anyhow.. in a nutshell, I enjoyed my stay.
What you would expect from the courtyard brand...Clean rooms, Bistro and Bar.. My only draw back is there was no room upgrades or suite night reward offered to me with titanium status....In fact they dont even acknowledge your status like how delta or IHG would...
Very comfortable clean rooms Hospitality was nice I would visit again and tell anyone that I know its a very nice place to go
Nice nice place 👍👍
Always clean and nice rooms. Excellent shower and amenities. Location is in the Navy Yard which is nice and quiet at night with security and a gate. Lots to explore during the day and a quick 10min ride into center city. Lot parking is 20/day which is irritating, but street parking is free. We always can find a street spot in front of the hotel on the weekend though.
Never again. Cured of hotels rooms!!!
Clean, perfect location.
Clean. Comfy. And awesome view of the stadiums!!
We stayed two nights so we could attend the Army/Navy game. On the plus side. The hotel was clean and modern. The staff is very amiable and knowledgeable. The food and drinks in the bar/restaurant were very good but the prices were a bit high. The room was very clean and adequate in size. On the down side. It would be nice if there was a breakfast buffet. Also, even though it is within walking distance of the stadium complex it is a pretty long hike for older people such as us. It would be nice if there was a shuttle offered, even for a fee. Because there was an “event” the price of rooms was astronomical. It’s a shame companies take advantage of people this way. Would we stay again? Probably because of friendly staff, cleanliness and convenience.
Clean quiet nice people. My fiance enjoyed himself. Great hotel. Its on the Navy Yards property. That made even more cool to stay there.
Nice people!
Nice. Quiet. Going back to do some bike riding.
The food is good but, the pricess are a rip off
Overall it was a good stay. There are amenities that were missing and for the price, should have been included. For example, there was not hot tub or pool. There was no breakfast included other than the option to overspend at the Starbucks counter. The place was clean with no issues. Staff was pleasant and easy to work with. My experience with Marriott has generally been very good and this place was just a little under par for their average so I am judging a little harsher. Marriott sets a high standard which I respect. Definitely would stay again.
Very comfortable stay during my Philadelphia business trip.Rooms are great and well equipped with modern amenities. They have in-house Starbucks outlet and great fitness room. I really enjoyed my coffees and workout during my stay.Locality is also great if you are fan of peaceful and quiet place. Similar like country side place.
Good deals, but whoever stayed in the room before me was a freak!
Good day Ms. Smith,Hopefully, all is well. Please be advised that Jaleel should not represent the heartbeat of the property’s front desk. He does not exhibit exceptional customer service and professionalism. Jaleel needs more training on how to interact with hotel guests. My encounter with Jaleel was distasteful, and fully unacceptable by his actions. My sister and I walked to the front desk on December 28th prior to our departure to partake in our Mother’s birthday dinner in the city. The approximate time was 4:30PM. I walked nearer to the front desk, Jaleel was on the phone, I said hello and he so rudely placed his pointer finger up and stated “one minute”. I was so appalled by his hand gesture and wondered how can he interact with guests in that manner and think its acceptable. I remained calm and waited over a minute, hence he never assisted me and answered another call. I looked at him and again he edged away from the desk and that ever belligerent hand gesture with his pointer finger was repeated for a second time, with no hesitation.I was truly taken aback by his unprofessional behavior and wondered why he was given such a positive job role within hospitality. He will change the standards of how the Courtyard Marriott Navy Yard is viewed if this is not addressed immediately. Jaleel if he had any inkling on how to be a true ambassador of customer service, would have stated, “please give me a moment, I will be with you momentarily. Thankfully a colleague came from the side corridor came around to the front desk and assisted me accordingly with my request before our departure for the evening. Please address this complaint with Jaleel, ask if he needs any updated training courses for 2020. The Ritz-Carlton training guide would be quite resourceful for him. An update regarding the issues that occurred will be greatly appreciated.A longstanding Starwood/Marriott Guest/ former employee of SH Group Hotel & Resorts.Thank you and regards,
Room was clean and neat. Staff was helpful and professional. Within walking distance of sports complexes. Beds were comfortable. Only down side is no restaurants for dinner and the bar closes at 10:00. They do have a little market open 24/7 to purchase snacks and a bistro that serves a quick breakfast or lunch. We would stay there again
Stayed only one night but there was enough staff to take care of any request that I have made. The only downside is now they will charge a daily parking fee. I guess its not really bad because of the parking cost in the surrounding area. I really enjoyed my stay and will stay at another Marriott after this experience. Also, it was a Football game night and enough staff to be attentive to the guest, in my opinion.
Great spot, close to all the sports. I actually walked to an Eagles and Flyers game while I was there, very easy and no problems. Watch out the extra fees. I didnt realize that as a guest I would still have to pay the $15 per day parking. Also the city taxes and hotel fees on top of everything threw me off. Check in is at 3pm, try not to arrive early, I got in around 10am and my room wasnt ready, ended up getting into the room around 2pm. And lastly, I booked this room a few months ago, I fully expected the money to be taken then. Not the case, they charged me when I arrived. This is not a big deal for me, but if you arent watching your money you could wind up in a world of hurt.
Great customer service and I slept well
We stay at this hotel every year for our annual family weekend of attending Philadelphia team games. The location is perfect to walk to the stadiums. It is clean and has everything we need. We love the breakfasts at the cafe and there are other restaurants in walking distance as well. Highly recommended for going to your favorite Philly team games.
Highly recommend this property for people visiting Philadelphia for business or leisure -- bang for the buck as compared to downtown properties while very convenient to downtown area and to sports / concert entertainment venues. Loved the setting on the Navy Yard -- enjoyed several photo ops w/ the ghost fleet ships. Staff was customer-focused, breakfast perfect, room comfortable and spacious -- a fantastic deal as compared w/ other properties downtown for a weekend get-away. 4 of us stayed in the room and there was sufficient space. Beds very comfortable and room quiet. Will definitely stay here again and already recommended it to friends!
I loved our stay at the Courtyard Navy Yard. The hotel feels brand new, and is what I have come to expect from Courtyard. The location is great. The Navy Yard is an attraction in itself, with dozens of decommissioned warships, and awesome historic architecture. It is also conveniently located near the stadiums, and isnt far from the airport or downtown. The only things I can critique is that they charge for parking. I dont usually expect to have to pay to park in a surface parking lot unless I am downtown. There is plenty of free on street parking though. A pool would also have been nice. I definitely plan on coming back to the Courtyard on my next trip to Philadelphia.
I bought tickets to an Monday night football game. I first booked a hotel room at a different hotel that should be shut down!! Cheaper is not always the answer. I ended up trying to cancel that reservation within 24 hours and they never refunded my money! I totally got ripped off. Then I decided I was going to spend the money and stay here! I’ll spend the money anytime! It was a clean, beautiful hotel with an awesome staff and we could see the stadium from our ROOM!! We’re now talking about coming back and staying to see a sizers game! Don’t bother booking a cheaper hotel cause you don’t know what your getting! We walked to the game from the hotel and there were police and security everywhere to make you feel safe on the walk:-)
Even during this time, the staff is very professional and use all precautions to protect guess
We found this Courtyard to be in a perfect location to the Philadelphia Sports arenas. You can walk in about 15 minutes or drive in as few as 5 minutes to any of the their venues. The Hotel was extremely comfortable, clean, and the staff always willing to go above and beyond to help us with any requests we had of them. The breakfast was run by a Starbucks in the hotel so not quite what we were expecting and not a huge fan of the food, but it was good, but in our opinion OVERPRICED for what we were served. Would do better to serve a continental breakfast!
Newly updated hotel, room (#212) was updated, clean and comfortable. Hotel was a safe and easy 15 minute walk from door-to-door to Wells Fargo Center. The baseball and football stadiums were also right there. Ample parking available. Free parking on the streets around the hotel or you can pay a daily fee at the hotel (I believe $15 a day). Only spent one night in the hotel but I would definitely book here again, especially if attending a sports game or concert at any of the stadiums.
Beautiful place. Surroundings were awesome views
Great hotel. Staff was wonderful, everyone from check in to bar/restaurant. Food from bar/restaurant was fair priced and delicious. Room was very clean. Extra towels, shampoos and soaps were provided as requested per reservation special request. Would absolutely recommend, the hotel is fabulous.
Great customer service, clean room, no complaints. Definitely will stay again.
We decided to take a quick After Thanksgiving trip. We decided to come to Philadelphia and check out the UConn vs Temple game at Lincoln Financial Field. We stumbled upon the Courtyard by Marriott at the Navy Yard & I am glad we did. The hotel is very close to I-95 so we did not have to deal with the downtown traffic. We were able to walk to the SEPTA (public subway system) in about 15 minutes. We also walked to the Lincoln Financial Field which was next to the hockey/basketball arena along with the baseball field. To make the stay even better, there were free rental bikes. We were able to take the bikes for a spin around the Navy Yard and not once did a moving car pass us. The hotel is also across the street from a family friendly park area which has hammocks, table tennis and just a few seats. Even though the hotel does not have a free breakfast, we were able to get bagels and other breakfast food at the Starbucks in the lobby.
If this is the new layout for the showers in Marriott hotels Im very pleased. They had the multi use soap/shampoo/conditioner and the temperature/flow control was on the opposite side of the stall from the shower head, meaning you dont have to reach your arm through hot or icy water to adjust it. Its in a neat little area with plenty of walking areas and close to the stadiums. Staff was friendly and the place was clean.
The Navy Yard Courtyard is a great small hotel. It is nicely decorated and clean, and the food and service are excellent. The lobby / Bistro area has several different seating arrangements. The staff is super friendly and provides great service. The rooms are clean and comfortable too. The new free bike loaner program is a super cool addition. (I got to ride around the navy yard close to the ships and the river; very therapeutic after a long day of work. This hotel provides as good or better experience than the busy downtown hotels.
Refused to reschedule room due to a concert being rescheduled due to the pandemic.Very rude and inconsiderate when attempting to do so. Would recommend avoiding this hotel.
Positive: The hotel was exceptionally clean and the front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. Negative: Finding the hotel in the Navy yard was a little confusing but the hotel was great!
We decided to stay overnight at this hotel after a concert. It was a great idea! The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly! The room was spacious and a beautiful bathroom. This location is great for people who want to be close to the city but also enjoy peace and quiet when trying to relax. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
We came down for Mets/Phillies games, stayed two nights. Everything was excellent. We went downtown on our way home, saw the area and was so happy we stayed at the Navy Yard. Plenty on street parking, great diner (Penrose) nearby, minutes from a casino (Sugar House) and downtown, super fast and easy access to citizens park. We will definitely be back.
Family of three stayed here for two nights. Visited many historical sights in Philadelphia. Great hotel, super clean room, beds were comfortable. Breakfast in the lobby was excellent. Staff all around was very good. Easy drive from here to Old Town and the sights. This hotel was much less expensive than the options down town. It was a great decision to stay here. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
The hotel was wonderful and the suite we had was perfect, however, I had trouble upgrading to the suite prior to arrival although I tried online and through multiple phone calls. Rates were also significantly less the days before our reservation and other friends were unable to get the lower price. Staff was okay, some were exceptional while others were short and not exactly welcoming. The hotel bar/restaurant only stayed open until 10pm which was okay but would have been nice if it was a little later.
Stayed here for Cher concert at the Wells Fargo Center. Late afternoon check in was busy but was quickly and efficiently handled, staff able to answer questions and provide information on transportation options for concert goers; liked the fact that we were actually able to walk back to the hotel after the concert and did not have to deal with the traffic. Had drinks and appetizers in the lobby restaurant and food was very good and staff was friendly and attentive.
If you are coming to the area for a concert or sports event this is the place to stay. Cabs are readily available and under $10 to the Wells Fargo Center. The area has security, its well lit and very nice at night. $15 secured parking per day. The hotel staff was super nice and the place itself was very clean. The food is overpriced so I reccomend takeout!
Absolutely loved this place. Book out of convenience to airport - concert nearby and also not too all that difficult proximity to city area (Uber/Taxi so easy). A really good stay - what can I say... from Security... to comfort, cleanliness and very quiet on the floor and the area overall. The staff are so helpful, friendly and down-to-earth. Highly recommend!
We ended up at the Courtyard at the Navy Yard by default, as by the time we booked a room, there were not many left. This location had rooms available at a good price and was located only several blocks from the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67). It is a newer building with fresh paint and it is very clean. The location is convenient to the major highways going through Philadelphia. There are shops and some cafes in the Navy Yard, which also hosts festivals and other activities. The location is secure and the elevators are operated with the room key.
Negative: ROACH in the bathroom. Noisy UV light contraption that is apparently not safe to look at left in the room prior to our arrival. TV remote didn’t work, bathroom didn’t have a fan, room was at the end of a very long hallway acr
This is a very nice hotel. The staff is friendly & the food was great. Staff was also helpful & my room was very nice. Clean bathroom, good hot water. Very nice conference room, as well!
The accommodations were above and beyond. We came to Philly for a quick 2-day visit and tried to squeeze all of the touristy things in one day which made for a very long one. So it was so incredibly relaxing to come back to our room at the navy yard away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the luxuriously comfortable king size bed. Not only was the room/bathroom impeccably tidy but the bistro downstairs was a nice place to enjoy a quick bite and a nice cocktail at the end of the night. The next day we headed to the Phillys game and the Navy Yard was situated in the most convenient space that we easily walked to and from the stadium. It made for the most excellent visit! Thank you Courtyard!
The room and lobby were superb. Modern and clean. My low rating is due to the front desk staff giving me the wrong answer when asked about a levy fee on my bill. When we needed help in the lobby the staff stood and watched. We received help from the taxi driver.
Loved the location, Custer service & cleanliness. Definitely will come back again
Excellent breakfast
Great location to attend Flyers game on Saturday and Eagles game on Sunday. Parked once ($15) and walked to both events. Took a nice walk through the Navy Yard on Sunday morning. Plenty of places to walk. Stopped at the Chapel of the Four Chaplains - a beautiful chapel with an incredible story of sacrifice and patriotism.
Great hotel, clean and modern. We were able to find a parking spot on the street and it was very safe, but if you cant get on street parking, it costs $15 to park.If you are going any of the venues - the Linc, Citizens Bank Park, Wells Fargo Center, be prepared for a walk longer than 15-20 minutes, depending on how athletic you are. Wells Fargo is the closest to the hotel, citizens the furthest. If you are in good shape and can walk fast, the time frame is okay. My husband is a slow walker and it took closer to 45 minutes.Best bet is to take a cab back and forth.
