Gianavenne was great. tried a couple others and I’ve decided to move on especially being rushed when the apprentice took someone else for my 9am and Dianna wouldn’t wait 10 minutes after I called and said I was stuck in some traffic on Kelly Dr. I got to the barber shop and it was closed and she didn’t have the decency to call. never going back.

Been going here for years now. Never disappointed. Did everything and anything you could during covid to keep it sanitary. Has a solid reputation for good reason within the area. I get my cut from Josh but cant go wrong with any of them in there.

Disappointing hair donation experience. I’ve donated my hair to Wigs for Kids four times in my life and each previous time the barber tied my hair up in multiple ponytails all over my head to maximize the amount of the donation. I called ahead when I made my appointment several weeks ago just to be sure Men’s Club was familiar with that procedure. The person I spoke to said it would be fine but I should bring my own hairties because they might not have a lot on hand. When I came in for my cut today Jose seemed to be in a rush from the moment I sat down even though there were no other customers in the shop. I asked him to tie it off in multiple ponytails, offered a fresh pack of hairties for him to use, and explained I wasn’t too concerned with the final cut, just a buzz would be fine. The goal was to donate as much hair as possible. He quickly bunched my hair together, pulled it all straight back and cut it in one ponytail while I thought he was just getting ready to tie it. As a result, I lost more than half of the hair I’d spent two and a half years growing because it wasn’t arranged in multiple tails. The one ponytail he did cut wasn’t even tied before he cut it off, so I lost some more hair just trying to get the loose clump into rubber bands. Donated hair should always be tied off in multiple bands before it is cut. I was very disappointed with this experience. The cut I wanted was a little unusual for a men’s salon but I did call ahead and even showed Jose pictures from my previous donation and I feel he did not take the time to understand what I was asking for.

First time there and it was a great experience. I moved last year pre pandemic and never got a chance to find a new barber shop after going to the same one for years. Diana did an amazing job of giving me a great looking cut while also starting the process of fixing some issues that came from diy cuts over the last year. She explained how she styled my hair and made sure I was happy with how it came out. Will 100% be back and would recommend this shop to anyone.

Traditional Barber shop, great services & value. I make sure to book here whenever I am in the area, always worth the trip. I can confidently recommend Jose, but the entire staff is skilled depending on your preference/needs (beards, color, etc.). Thanks for being a place I look forward to going to guys!

I’ve been going here for three years steady and haven’t thought to change once. Tim and the team do a great job providing a solid haircut every single time. As a health care provider, I can assure you I have felt completely safe throughout the pandemic as they are doing temp checks, wiping down the equipment between clients, and have barriers up between each chair. Have never had a bad experience or haircut and would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely loved my experience here. Genevieve has great skills and is extremely passionate and detail oriented. For the first time in many years, I actually felt happy with my haircut. She has a great sense of style and is highly experienced at what she does. I also really loved how clean and tidy the place was. I will definitely be coming back.

I was debating between the 30 min and 45 min service. I booked the 30 min with Jose. The entire experience took about 14 min. I entered the store at 2:14 and out by 2:32. The haircut was mediocre at best. Not what I wanted. My neck, t-shirt and face was full of hair. I went to this highly rated place for a great experience and I got worse than haircutter. Cost me also $40 including tip.

Super clean environment, awesome talent. Everyone Tim brings in does quality work. Any time I have gotten my haircut here it has been extraordinary. Strongly recommend! They took my temperature upon entering the facility, everyone was wearing a mask and very distant from eachother. I also noticed detail to constant sanitation of work stations around me.

Best barbershop in town!I am particular about how my beard is lined up and I was hesitant trying a new barbershop when I moved into town.I have been getting a haircut with beard trim with Jose for over 2 years now and I have never had a barber line up my beard as perfectly as he does.Jose is consistent with what style you want for your haircuts and takes his time. I always get compliments on the haircut with fade and beard line up.Would highly recommend booking with Jose and to book online in advance as appointments fill up quickly.

As a new client just moving to Philadelphia I had anxiety going to a new shop. Jose was kind, knowledgeable and gave me a different style cut then I have ever had before . I went to work the next day and got some many complements! The staff were kind, shop was immaculate and very inviting ! I will DEFINITELY be back !

Im always skeptical when trying a new barber, but Mens Club blew me away. Dont be fooled by the unassuming location, the place is awesome. Theres a really good vibe and the service is excellent. Justin cut my hair and did an amazing job. Ill definitely make this my go to spot for haircuts.

Best mens haircut in the Roxborough/Manyunk area! It took me a couple years to find this place, but Ive been going to Diana for over two years. I jumped around from Groom to Daves and just wasnt impressed with either the haircut, the service I was getting, or what I was paying. The quality and service here are unmatched. I can only speak for Dianas work, but I see the shop packed with loyal customers every time I stop in. Give it a shot if youre in the market for a new barber.

My 11 year son had dread locs for 5 years so getting his hair cut was a HUGE deal. We were referred to Jake and were told that he was awesome. Justin’s my barber and I was looking for a different cut because i’ve Been wearing the same cut for about 30 years. I just started to grow a beard as of Jan of 2017. Justin asked how did I want my cut and I told him to do his thing. I’ve been getting more compliments than I ever had in the past. Thank you Justin for your expertise and genius!!!

The one star represents a negative one star. Sent my 12 year old son there because it was close to his neighborhood and there are no black barbers in the area. What a mistake. Hardly touched his hair and still charged 23 dollars. My son said they guy cut his hair for 7 minutes and when he asked barber to take off some more, he said he didnt have time. Never again. My ex wife was right and I said it didnt make a difference, hair is hair. Not at this shop. Ive never had a haircut done in 7 minutes ever and 23 bucks should be at least a half hour of service. You fuggers.

As a African American Male I went into this shop with high Hopes of recieving a good quality haircut but instead, I recieved one of the worst hair cuts of my life.Going in as a new customer asking for a taper and shape up turned into a half done mess and when I tried to resolve the issue with owner instead of trying to compromise he gets hostile and tries to start a altercation and even starts to get blatantly racist. I wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to this shop

Great cut and great atmosphere, never left disappointed. Have went to both Tim and Jake. Both are amazing at what they do and for only 20 bucks a cut, its a steal. Look forward to going back every 2 weeks!

I had a pretty frustrating first experience here. Service was really rough and the haircut wasn’t what I wanted at all. When I told that to the person cutting my hair they wouldn’t do anything to fix it, so I had to leave and immediately go somewhere else to finish the cut. I think this just wasn’t the place to get the quick, simple haircut I was looking for, but regardless the staff was pretty rude with me. I’d like to think it was just one bad trip, but I won’t be returning to find out.

Avoid Ricky at all costs. He cant cut hair. The guy should look for a new line of work. Seriously. Worst haircut Ive ever gotten in my life. Not the place you want to go if youre getting anything more than a buzz cut. And terrible service on top of it. I cant believe I paid for this crap.

I went to this shop on March 5 of 2015 and it was my first time. I got a fade from the owner named Tim. He did a great job and me and my wife were impressed with the haircut. It is a good shop and it is hard to find old fashioned barber shops like this one. Check them out.

Unfortunately my first experience going there was a bad one. One of the worst haircuts I have ever received. The back was not blended well at all. Couldve just been the one guy I had, but I will not be returning to that kind of incompetence.

This place is like a hidden gem. Barbershop outside looks like two row home with a simple sign and a barber shop pole. Inside is a ver cool retro style shop with old school chairs, exposed brick and nice hardwood floors. Products offered are great and setting is relaxed and professional. Scheduling is very easy as they have a web client that they work with so customers have full accesd to available times. 1 barber in particular Jake is a great barber. Tried this out bc I moved to the area and am happy to say I found my new barber/barbershop.
