Even though the site says Walk-ins Welcome, it is advisable to book online as they get booked very fast.I had Victoria shave and trim my beard and I must say she was awesome.I went in knowing the look I wanted and she pulled it off flawlessly.Gonna try to go every 2 weeks to keep my goatee trimmed and neat at all times.

Although I wouldnt say its a perfect barber shop I was still impressed and would recommend.I recently moved to the area and had tried 2 other places for 3 cuts total. All 3 cuts were below par especially for the price, so I figured Id try yet another place. I had Nick, who listened well to what I wanted, and cleaned everything he used thoroughly. Was talkative, without biting your ear off type, and did everything I asked well.As people mentioned, they keep you turned away the entire cut, not sure why even have a wall mirror then other then for show, so I was apprehensive, but the cut came out much cleaner then my last 3 and more what Im used to.Overall, great without being outstanding, but will definitely go back again to hopefully get consistency finally.

Unfortunately I gave this place 3 chances since it has great reviews and even my personal friends recommend it. But each cut was bad, you could get similar at a Great Clips but the prices here are not near as cheap.I had Victoria, then Nick, then Victoria again. Both were very nice. However they turn you away from the mirror so you cant monitor the progress. One of my haircuts I asked for a fade up to choppy on the top, and when he gave my the mirror (I was turned away the whole time) it was some 1920s slick forward into a curl ?? HorrendousThe other two haircuts just didnt look good. My friends would smile when they saw me after because its just a bad haircut and I look funny. Kinda ruins my confidence for a while after each of these haircuts.Lastly, a lot of the tools arent cleaned between clients I think. The clippers had multiple different kinds of hair on them, and after my last cut my scalp is really itchy.

I’ve been going to this barbershop for a few years now and am consistently thrilled with the service and result. Every barber I have used has given me consistent and friendly service. Although I’ve used a number of barbers here over the years, Monique is the one I’ve been using most recently and she’s fantastic! I really appreciate that the shop is welcoming to everyone regardless of gender and don’t upcharge me for being a woman despite asking for a man’s cut. They’ve also never argued with me about wanting a very short cut or tried to get me to go more “feminine” and have always given me exactly what I want. I’m so glad to have found this place after many years of hopping barber to barber.

Israel did such an astounding job, really went above and beyond for just a beard trim. Never got one before, but will definitely be back again soon!

Talking about customers, in front of customers is not a professional thing at all. The fade I received is completely different on both sides and the haircut was rushed. I suppose I am at fault for not booking the right cut, but if you dont think that you have enough time to perform the clients desired service, THEN TELL THEM BEFORE. You should NEVER rush through a haircut. I had entirely way too much hair trimmed off the top and ended up lop sided and also had to ask for a line up. Never have I ever needed to ask for that. Will not be coming back...not that they would even want me back**based on how they respond to upset customers/reviews, you can only assume how they actually treated the customer*

I have used Barber on 24th a total of 3 times for myself and my little guy. It is very hard for me to leave my comfort zone especially after parting from my barber of 16 years (closing/moving). This happened to coincide with my 1 year old needing a regular barber to use.These guys proved to be a perfect fit from the start between the ease of booking appointments to the awesome care of my son provided by Monique. The shop is clean, has good vibe and has great barbers. I have exclusively used Monique for both my son and myself and I’ve never had any complaints whatsoever. In fact, she was so sweet with my son for his first haircut, he was laughing and smiling at her the entire time. She really is great with kids and proves that every time when she finds new things to keep him occupied with. She’s also great with adults too and is able to get my fairly straightforward cut done in a timely manner.All in all, I highly recommend the shop, especially Monique,with a true 5 star rating!!! You won’t be disappointed!

Just got my first haircut here today - absolutely terrible experience w/ Monique and in the shop.After briefly asking what I was looking for Monique proceeded to turn me away from the mirror and take offense when I turned to look at how the cut was progressing.Throughout the haircut she and another employee were trash talking customers from the previous day and when somebody else was waiting for a haircut they finished their conversation (>5 min) before taking the next customer.At the end of my haircut when I asked about a length discrepancy she became defensive, and said she could take off more if I wanted but this was the right way.She was generally rude and abrasive throughout.There were multiple instances where I considered just standing up and leaving the appointment. The haircut was absolutely not worth the price and I regret paying for it!!

I always love any chance I get to see the gang at Barber on 24th. I go to Burke and Payne Barber Co. on 9th and Fitzwater these days, on the east side of town (Same Team), but Barber on 24th will always hold a dear place in my heart. Phil was incredibly cool and great at communicating with me as to what kind of cut I was looking for and good thing he did because I would have come outta the chair very different. I walked in for my appointment and showed a picture of a hairstyle I had on my phone to the hairstylist. He replicated it perfectly making that made me satisfied and happy. Make an appointment with this salon now, you wont be disappointed.

First time and last. One of the worst costumer service ever. Felt like I was getting a haircut with my enemy. If you like to be treated good and professional this is not the place. If you booked with a barber and a guy with a long beard comes, RUN. Trust me. Don’t get fool by the shop. The shop looks good but the service is the worst.

Got a haircut here after months in quarantine. My barber Israel was professional, nice, and gave me a great cut! Barber on 24th implemented safety protocols during COVID-19, including large pump bottles of hand sanitizer, the barber wearing gloves, everyone wearing masks, etc. A great experience all around, and I look forward to coming back.

Always had good experiences here but yesterday I got a really bad cut. This barber nailed me in the neck when doing my line so hard it made me jump, still red and irritated the next day. While doing my line on my beard, he was so rough my face has red lines on both sides and is still irritated. Also my fade in the back is messed up and not blended well at all. Didn’t even brush off the hair anywhere on me after the cut. Total waste of 50 bucks. I expect better from this place

Pretty easy to schedule an appointment online. Each barber has their own strengths but overall they are all very good at their jobs. Fun place to get a hair cut. Friendly staff and reasonable prices for the area.

Super good hair cuts from Olivia every time; someone else once cut my hair when Olivia wasnt available and she didnt really listen to me, I ended up with something I didnt ask for, just a generic 2 on the sides, 4 on top.Try a few of the barbers and find the right one for you.The price of a cut is $30; this is worth it if you get more than just a buzz cut all over. If you have a simple request, you would waste money here.Overall very friendly and some really excellent hair!

Great service, quality and courtesy! Arrived at 1pm for my appointment and was sitting in a chair receiving a haircut by 1:02pm. They switched barbers on me at the last minute, but I have no complaints in terms of quality and service. Had great conversation throughout the whole process and not only did I get a very nice even beard trim, she did a great job with my very long, thick, curly hair (not a skill all people have). Will definitely go back if Im in Philly again and a little behind on my hair care :)

Had to hold my breath because the barber didn’t brush his teeth and the area smelled like puke without any exaggeration. Haircut was patchy and not close to what I asked for. The blades weren’t oiled so my skin is irritated now. $35 without the tip is definitely not the right price for going there.

Had a cut done by Evan today.. all I have to say phenomenal. I was skeptical about going to another barber, especially when mine is about an hour outside the city. I walk past this shop weekly and never realized they are opened on Sundays--pretty rare. That was the only thing holding me back from making an appointment here, so I think it is safe to say I will be a returning customer. I showed up 10 minutes early and my haircut started 5 minutes early, so that was a win/win. The haircut I got was great and the barber made sure to ask me if everything looked alright before wrapping things up--its nice to know that he wasnt just going through the motions.

I was on vacation in Philly and luckily went to Barber on 24th to get my hair cut. Victoria was my barber and she took a lot time and care with my cut and styled it exactly how I wanted. She was also very friendly and suggested a lot of places to check out in Philly. Quality barber shop.

I had really high hopes coming here to get my hair cut, but the lady who cut my hair must have messed up or something because there is an area right in the front that was pretty much shaved all the way down, a solid 2-3 inches shorter than the rest of my hair. I thought it would grow in fine, but its been about 2 weeks and its still extremely difficult to hide; I need to find ways to put my other hair over this extremely short chunk and its very irritating. I expected way more from an expensive haircut like this, not one of the worst haircuts Ive ever gotten.I asked my family as well and they agree that it looks really off, so Im sure she mustve slipped with the clippers or something.Update (3/23): I was reached out to by someone at the barber offering to fix my cut; solid customer service. I did really enjoy the atmosphere there and this was probably an extremely unlikely occurrence.

A classic barbershop full of great staff. Liane (I think) cut my hair/ trimmed my beard and did a fantastic job! I recieved many compliments.

Used this barbershop 4-5 times and had mixed results. The haircut itself, was usually pretty good and barbers friendly/knowledgeable. Organizationally, they can be a mess sometimes. On 2 separate occasions I Made an appt and would wait over 45mins from my appt time. Another time I called to reschedule and no one picked up and after I finally got someone, a woman hung up without providing me with an alternative time just cancelling the current appointment. I’d say my advice to them is never push appt clients for walk-ins and to not be so rude on the phone. Haircuts themselves are pretty solid.Adding to original post: they replied with notes around me not showing up during these 2 incidents where walk-ins were taken before me. Both times I arrived on time and waited 45 mins before leaving. They are correct that 1 out of 8 times I missed my appt without notice. Sometimes it happens and can appreciate them tracking that information to avoid poor customers but their phone was busy when I tried to call earlier in the dayOverall: good cuts but beware of long waits at times. good mobile scheduling but difficult phone service when trying to reschedule/cancel.

I have been going to VICTORIA for over 2 years now. I get a hair cut 2-3 times a month. Vic is simply one of the best barbers I have ever been to and don’t see myself getting a cut by anyone else in the future. I get a tough haircut with the low skin fade, beard shape up and trim and every time I am 100% satisfied. She takes her time and never rushes even if my cut is taking a little longer then normal. Always provides great customer service and I consider more then just my barber now but a friend. I get compliments everywhere I go on my haircut and the profession I’m in I talk to a ton of new people each day and am always confident I look professional and sharp. Thank you Vic for the consistency and respect you always give me. I travel from Northeast Philly to Barber on 24th just because I know I will be getting a amazing cut. The other barbers in the shop are also very kind and provide great customer service.TIP: Most of these barbers book up extremely fast especially Victoria. I usually try to book my appointment in a couple days in advance because of the high volume of clients she has. It’s almost impossible for you to walk in without a appointment. I hate to write a bad review, especially since the person who did my cut was so nice. I have a very long, thick beard that is very important to me. I had never been to this shop but I assumed beard trims were pretty standard. The young women seemed unsure from the moment I sat down. I asked if she was ok with doing a beard and she said yes. I told her that I wanted very little length taken off. I really just wanted it cleaned up. After a few minutes I looked and it was cut short and very uneven. I got home and took a look and I was shocked. My hair and beard looked terrible! I am very disappointed. I am planning on going somewhere else today to have it fixed. I guess Im to blame. I should have asked if there was someone there who specialized in beards.

I dont ever leave reviews but this one is definetly worth it. Amir is one of if not the best barbers in philly. Going from my previous barber to him was lights out different and you could tell Amir has a passion and a gift. Not only that, hes a really chill dude to talk and having that relationship with your barber is cruical. He will definetly be my barber for the next couple of years while im in college. Even Stevie Wonder can see he is great at his job.

Don’t expect to get in your chair at the time of your appointment. Expect around a 15-20 minute wait past the time you schedule-has happened to me multiple times now. Haircut is solid, but overpriced. Won’t be returning.

Another: Ive been fighting with Viki for almost 1 years (I like to call him that because I already have esteem for him). Well, I always eat, shes very professional, Im always a mess with my hair and she makes me look like a king. Again it left me a perfect peeling, which exceeds my imagination. I asked her this time for a combination of two peeled, and she neither short nor lazy, she gave me something better. Shes great! By the way they have a cream in there called suavecito, and it smells very rich, so buy it! Yeeeeaaaa Victoria !!!!Almost 1 years before.The hairdresser whose hair is very good, her name is Victoria, very professional and very fast. I had a head of hair, I showed him a reference photo for my haircut and he exceeded the expectations of the reference. He is also very gentle with his hands. No bad cuts, no cuts. Overall it is excellent!
