Went to salon with 2 daughters, during the Delta variant surge, a period when the CDC advice was for everyone, including vaccinated people, to wear masks inside. Chose salon because there were large signs outside saying that they wear masks and follow guidelines. My kids are too young to be vaccinated. We went in and the man behind the desk was not wearing a mask at all. I asked about mask policy, he was sitting behind a sign again declaring the policy to wear masks. He said very brusquely that its the stylists choice and they dont have to wear them. I said we couldnt patronize the place unless the stylists were wearing masks. They said they would. But then, as the stylists got to work on hair, mine and kids, I realized they had the masks below noses. I felt like a jerk to be complaining and hesitated to keep saying it, but it is was really uncomfortable situation. I tipped anyway and was glad to be out of there. They did not dry hair fully, and I realized once we were out that the hair cuts were truly awful. Daughters hair was completely uneven at the back, much worse than when I do it for her at home. Mine is also uneven. Definitely never going back, and strongly recommend not trying it; youre better off using nail scissors in the comfort of a public restroom.

My experience at Supercuts was nothing but amazing. It was my first time there and Karina did a fantastic job on my hair. Shes a very talented young woman who definitely knows what shes doing. Definitely going back!!

Karina was very professional. She explained everything she was going to do with my hair which was great because I never had that done before. She made me feel super comfortable. Definitely coming back to her.

This was likely the worst haircut I ever had. The woman had no idea what she was doing. I asked for a simple fade and she had to ask a colleague for help because she couldnt do it. The guy who helped her was nice and professional but he had to rush because his customer was waiting. On top of this disaster, they charged $5 tip on my credit card without even asking me. They probably knew my tip would have been 0!!! Never again.

Dont accept walk-ins and cant book online. Wasted $15 on an Uber getting there, not a single person in any chair (literally 10ish stylist chairs empty) and they wouldnt take me without an appointment. Again, you cant make appointments online even though it says you can. Im furious.

Save your hair and go anywhere else but here. I asked for a trim, and instead I got a mullet and bangs. Its going to take another 2 years to grow it back out, and they dont have a customer service line or reliable email, so good luck getting a refund

I asked over the phone if walk ins are accepted and I was told they are but when I reached there the guy was extremely rude and said he wont accept walk ins no matter what .When I told him about my conversation earlier he started shouting and cursing. This is the worst place ever. No professionalism at all .

I have been growing my hair for 5 months and I specifically said not to cut the top of my hair and that’s exactly what he did. Beard trim was awful as well. Barely even did anything all he did was trim. Not a good experience at all and I’m very upset.

Haircuts are ok depending on stylist, reliability of appointment time is terrible. Plan on waiting at least 30 min to an hour beyond your scheduled appointment time, even if you arrive early.

Scheduled appointment online - still took almost an hour to get to me. I’ve tried them a couple times thinking first bad experienced were flukes but they’re consistently bad. Stylist seems incapable of cutting hair differently from a handful of styles, even with a photograph provided.

I was really disappointed with my haircut. This is the first time that I went here and I am sure I am never going back. My stylist told me layers would look good on me but after the haircut I hardly see any layers in my hair(perhaps she meant seeing the layers using an electron microscope). It is weirdly partitioned and my hair sits unusually on my head. Was much satisfied by my experience at Jean Madeline and Penn Campus Hair Skin and Nail but thought of trying this place after friends recommended it to me.

Kodi, my stylist, did a great job with my skinfade undercut! He took his time making sure my skin fade blended well, and was very attentive to if the length was good throughout the entire cut. Also had a nice conversation. Definitely recommend him!

I usually never write reviews and I HAVE to say Ive been here once and it was the worst haircut experience ever. The hairdresser was extremely rude. For the first time ever, Ive been told that my hair was dirty and I need to get a shampoo treatment in the middle of the haircut so it doesnt get on her, which I was later charged for.

Usually, I do not have a problem with supercuts, but my last experience was not ideal. I went to get a haircut two days ago (Thursday in the morning around 11), but my usual person, Kevin, was not there this day (I think he left the store since his stand was replaced by another person). However, I still wanted my hair cut and chose another stylist. I dont remember her name, but it begins with a B. I showed her a photo of me with the hairstyle I wanted(the one Kevin did for me). The lady said okay and that she will do that for me. When I was finished, I was very disappointed. I knew by the way she was cutting my hair that it wasnt the way I wanted it, nor was it the way Kevin cuts it. Nonetheless, I thought that since she is a professional, she knew what she was doing. In the end, I honestly hated it and did not want to make a scene. I did not want to make a scene since I work in customer service and understand how it feels to have a customer blow up in your face. As a result, I paid and left, which I regret. When I got home and process what happened entirely, I couldnt hold in my emotions. My hair is not straight, it is curly. She cut my hair a little bit above chin length, and now when it curls, its at ear length. What I asked for was my hair to be shoulder to below chin length when its curly, and now I have a taper cut, where it does not reach my shoulder or chin when it is curly! She really chopped the majority of my hair off and made it seem like she knew what she was doing. My hair now is way shorter than the photo I showed her. It is cut like a taper-cut, which is not what I asked for. My hair went from below shoulder length before the cut to a mini afro, where the back ranges from 1-3 inches and the front to 5-6 inches. After this experience, I am never going back to supercuts. Now, I have to wait for my hair to grow back to do what I want with it. Horrible experience, would not recommend!Also, this stylist never asked how short I wanted it, nor did she pause before cutting it to ask if the length she was cutting was okay.

LOVE the staff. They always do great work and are really cheap. Dont waste your money anywhere expensive if you have such a great cheap option. My stylist remembers me and I give him free reign because he always does great.

Im cheap, usually get my hair trimmed every 4-6 months and thats about it. The manager cut it this time and I really it! Not a long wait and nothing fancy... I love it!

I am going to SuperCuts from almost 3 years. Now I moved to Philly University City and found one also here at Chestnut Street.Liz is my hair dresser and she really knows what and how to do. I just her how I want hairs to be and shown some random pics from Google to give some idea. She just did what was in my mind. Last time I visited and was in hurry, she did it quickly as I asked but with perfection. This time I went late evening 8pm and had thoughts she would be tired by now. She had same consistent energy and cheerful smile. I will recommend her to everyone for hairs.

Kiara did a great job on my hair! I have long wavy hair and she did a wonderful job taking off all the dead ends, layering my hair and trimming my bangs. The location was also very clean, friendly and accessible. Definitely recommend!

Terrible haircuts. The hairdressers either do not know common terminology or do not care. I asked for a high fade and got zero fade and zero blend. At that point I had to take off much more length than I would have liked. Hairdresser was very flippant about the whole ordeal, probably spending under 5 minutes decimating my hair. I would not recommend to anyone that wanted a decent haircut—you will leave here looking worse than when you came with a hairstyle you never wanted.

I usually get great haircuts for the price and everyone is really nice. Definitely recommend checking in online to avoid the wait. Also, I got a discount card with my Drexel Rec Center membership--be sure to ask for it if you sign up at the gym, and you can get a discount on all your haircuts.

Online check in is useless.Wasted my entire morning being called Daquan (not my name, but I can guess why theyd think it was), then skipped for 2 walk-ins. Ended up walking out.I sat right next to the door, in front of the register, I couldnt be missed, but still overlooked by both stylist. This was a terrible experience, will not be returning.* I did catch up on some much needed emails and voicemails, though, hence the extra star*

Hospitality: The hospitality is terrible. When I went, they said they arent accepting credit card and it was cash only. So I had to go back home which was a mile away to get cash. By the tine, I came back, they were accepting credit card.Waiting: I had to wait 45 minutes before my turn came even after signing up online and had gone on the exact time.Hairut: I would have accepted all the hassle I had, but their hair cut was terrible. I asked them to do one thing and they did it completely opposite. It seemed as though they werent trained for it.Price: it is overpriced for the work they need do.

Horrible! The lady was suppose to curl my hair to give it a voluminous look and instead she made it flat at the top and a birds nest at the end. In spite of repeatedly telling her what I wanted she completely ruined my hair for the wedding! Never going back again!

I cannot believe that there are so many positive reviews about this place. I suspect that some of them must be paid.I have gone to this place twice, and each time I have received a terrible haircut. After going there once, I swore I would never return, but it is just so close to campus that I decided to give it another go. Maybe the haircutter I got was just bad?Nope. After going to the place again, and asking for an extremely simple haircut (take off about an inch all around, clean up the ears and sideburns), I once again walked out with a terrible haircut. The haircutter was unable to follow any directions. She took off nearly 2 inches. In addition, the haircut is uneven, and yet still bowlcut-like.You probably wont heed this warning. Ill go, youll say, whats the harm, its so close to campus, and itll grow back in a couple weeks anyway. Then you will look back at this review, and wish that you picked literally any other place within walking distance to patronize.

Kevin messed up my hair! He does not know how to cut, first of all, and when i clearly told him what color i wanted he snapped his fingers and told me no. I had to leave and go somewhere else to get my hair fixed. What a nightmare! I wish I could rate zero stars. Avoid.

Ive been going here for almost two years and was always very happy with the haircuts. The last two times, however, have been terrible, enough that Im considering finding somewhere else. It just depends on whether you get one of the good hairdressers or happen to get a bad one. Last time, they did a bad job of getting my hair wet and sealing the apron thing around my neck, resulting in extreme itchiness the entire day until I was able to go home and take a shower. This time, a different hairdresser spent like 5 minutes total before it was over, and was clearly being lazy. She would repeatedly just grab, cut, grab, cut, without precision or smoothness. My hair looks bad and people have noticed the messy transition from the top to the sides and the parts sticking up. I dont want to be rude, I just want a haircut that looks acceptable.

I got hair color done on my root tips and when I told them to remove the stain on forehead they replied you can do it at home with any alcohol available. So I had a visit last week for a general cut. The people here were nice! Even though the price was a little bit high, which compare to other store charging about $20 this store is charging $22 for a cut and $5 extra for a wash, I felt it is worth to come here as the service is fast and clean and you get what’s typically worth for the price you paid. 5 star for the service, minus 1 for the relatively high price compare to other super cut stores.
