I haven’t used any nail salons around the area of Peoria because it’s hard to trust it will be done the way I want it done. I found Zen and decided to try it for the first time today. I can say very professional place and elegant! There are so many staff members and lots of spots for customers wether getting manicures or pedicures. Most places I have been don’t have enough room for the people that want the services done. I didn’t have to wait at all without an appointment. Sophia did an excellent job and made me relax and enjoy my experience there. I will most definitely be back to Zen for all my nail needs! 5+ stars for me!

A friend and I booked an appointment for 3:00 on 1/9 and got in for out appointment close to 3:30, both of us for classic pedicures and dip manicures. The services were all great and everyone was very professional. The only complaint I have had was that within 10 days I have had major chips and damage to the manicures. This could possibly be because of an older base coat powder on the dip base (I have asked some other cosmetologists familiar with using dip powders for manicures). I would definitely use Zen again for pedicures, but the experience has made me wary of doing a dip manicure again.

Absolutely amazing! Impeccably clean, courteous, friendly, welcoming & professional. I enjoyed my pedicure so much as I sat in the massage chair I almost went to sleep. Everything was sanitary and spectacular. It was my first time there, I got the lavender pedicure which I highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

Would not go back. Nail tech was quite rude. Nails were uneven with the acrylic tips not blended into the nail, so the tips of my nails look bulged compared to my regular nail.

I had a pedicure today at the Zen lounge with Grace. She did a wonderful job on my toes and I am very pleased! She was a little nervous to do flowers on my big toes but she did a wonderful job! I would highly recommend her and this place!

The best attention and service. My mother is using a Walker and once they got her seated in the pedicure chair the young lady had her laughing and enjoying the experience. She even did my mothers manicure in the pedi chair so she would remain comfortable

Linda is really good at what she does. She takes her time and focuses on your nails and what you want. Tell her exactly what you want and she can do it. She is pretty quiet while she does her thing but they come out amazing.

What I asked for and what I got. Why can’t nail techs just say I can’t do that design.. rather than saying yes and failing and then expecting us to pay for the full service I literally went home and ripped the nails right off. So embarrassing.

Very impressed with the extended service provided by Sue (D) in performing a new set of acrylic nails. Have tried other locations in Peoria area and the detail of prepping the nails is at Zen is by far the best. She took the time to trim my nails, clean underneath them, even provided a lotion massage on my hands and arms. Zen is 100% our families go to for mani and pedis!

The first time i went they did a fantastic job on my nails and i loved them and was excited to go back but had to wait a while due to them being on the pricey side. I then went back and got a full set of acrylics with gel i did simple french tips but the shape of my nails which were simple square was not it. They flair out and have super pointy edges and i was cut while she was doing them.

This is my second time coming here for dip nails. I went in a week and a half ago and my nail chipped in 3 days after getting them. After that 4 more nails chipped. I wasnt hard on my nails and always take good care of them to extend the time I need to get them redone but this time the quality of the service was really bad. Not worth the money spent on my nails.

I came in as a walk-in for gel and a nail design. I had Kayla, which we were getting along great! Told her there design i wanted and she said shes a bit rusty and wanted to try something and that if I didnt like it we can change it. But once I brought it up to her she told me its too late and we cant change it. So I just fell silent. I was upset and my first experience was ruined. When I went up to talk to the guy at the service desk, she came up and started a scene where I was just trying to notify him quietly. She said she asked me multiple times and that I was happy with it. He ended up having to have another lady come in. I didnt get a refund on the nail art or the tip I originally gave, but I made sure to tip the other lady who had to finished my nails. A $40 service ended up costing me $70 due to poor customer service of an employee. I was trying to be polite about not liking the art, and tried to be quiet about the refusal of fixing it. But she didnt handle it properly in my opinionEdit: Since I cant reply to the response, you gave me a nail tech who was in the middle of service, it was unfair to the nail tech Me and the other customerI would have waited.. Knowing that she was in the middle I didnt get any sort of nail art which I originally wanted. Therefore, I shouldnt have been charged nor should Kayla have gotten any tipMaybe if Kayla was more professional it wouldve been solved. She told me she wanted to experiment and that if I didnt like it she would remove it. But she didnt. I was lied to and then she made a scene for no reason.

Not only were my nails painted so was my skin on both hands around my nails. Not once did the lady speak to me but spoke to her coworkers the whole time I think that’s rude especially when working for a tip! I will not return there or recommend this place!

The 3 times I have been to this particular nail salon, I have waited an unreasonable amount of time. Im not sure how a 10 minute wait turns into 30 minutes. I understand appointments are first, I am a walk in customer if you tell me the correct time I could plan accordingly. Bad customer service. You make sure to point out to me where the hand sanitizer is but didnt mention it to the other guests🤔 I gave your salon multiple chances just because I like your decorations. This was the last time. Thanks. I dont need your paragraph apology either. I just wanted you make a point to share my experiences with you! I may not look very well put together when I come but I do tip well and I can afford whatever services I am requesting thanks!!!! Ended up getting right into metro nails with friendly employees!!

Very clean nail salon and they properly COVID screen clients . My gel dip manicure didn’t turn out like I had imagined but it was made right when I returned the next day. Customer service is very good and they want their customers to leave happy. Rose did a beautiful job with my nails and I am very satisfied. Thank you Zen Nail, I’ll be back !

The worst nails I’ve ever had done. Me and my sister went here for a sister day to get manicures. The place seemed really nice whenWe first walked in. Once we sat down the nail tech was super rough filing to much put nail tips on crooked. The lady did a terrible job painting my nails and talked on her phone they whole time rushing through the entire thing

I came in with a picture of what I wanted. They immediately said to me, just one color right? I said no. I have a couple. They directed me to write down my colors so I did. I was guided to a chair. Through plexiglass and masks I couldn’t make out a lot of what she said. Not only did the result look nothing like the photo, it was the most awful job I’ve seen in my entire life. I just left though because I felt like I already wasn’t understood. It took two hours to fix the mess. I was asked if a child did my nails.

They do a fantastic job with my gel nails and pedicures.

The ladys are awesome. They do a great job. Today was my 4th visi. I usually get gel nails and I need my EYEBROW AS WELL!! my last visit 9 days ago I WAS TOLD NO EYEBROW PERSON. Today Gel started chipping so I go back today willing to pay for this to be right even brought my own gel polish and I wanted my EYEBROW done as well. He was kind about the nail fix. But this bothered me the lady that does EYEBROWS was there today and 9 days ago. I asked couldnt she do my EYEBROWS and the response was not what I should have heard. If you offer the service and theres a wait give the person the choice to wait. But I was told by another man that I had to get my nails or feet done and I would had gotten set up with a lady for that.. well my nails are done but not my EYEBROWS. AND I STILL VOLUNTEER TO WAIT Why was I refused service for my EYEBROWs twice??

Zen Nail Salon is one of the Highest in my opinion, the most extraordinary, relaxed establishment to be in by having a pedicure for males like me. It is rare due to cultural biases to see that women dominated the scene by thinking of the type of service theyre accustomed to. Males too should take care of their feet as females do. And the service is unbeatable as the charges are absolute as its worth the time, and to mention the most cleanliness of the facility during the impact of the Corona virus, the usage of quality products of health department requirements used in sanitizing the equipment that no transference of the virus will transpire to any of the customers they serve during this time of the covid 19 pandemic. I would highly recommend more Males to come and enjoy the ambiance of being in the tropics and in the hands of the caring staff... An experience youll never forget! Thank you for all you do! Ike B

I am utterly dissatisfied, disappointed and very upset with my experience at Zen Nail Lounge. All I wanted and drove an hour for was a simple Dip Powder Manicure that cost $50, which was not worth it at all. My nail tech, Linda (D-W) was rough with my hands the whole time. I have naturally thick nails, Ive never had issues with thin nails. The nail tech dremeled my nails so thin that ALL of them were bending. She also burnt my nails with the Dremel. I pulled my hand back abruptly because it was burning! All she said in response was, Oh.. its hot and proceeded to continue giving her awful service. She also took the nail clippers out and cut two of my nails before I could even say No clipping. She cut them down to stubs!! Another issue I had was after she did the Dip Powder Manicure. My nails were lumpy, uneven and you can still see my natural nail underneath. She only dipped my fingers in the powder twice. As many nail places Ive tried, she was the first to only dip twice and not three times like all of the other places. After she was finished she asked me for payment. I gave her my card and she soon returned with my receipt to sign. She stood over me as a teacher would stand over a child and watched me fill out the receipt, she needs to give clients space. Her behavior was uncomfortable and very upsetting. I called and left a complaint about my awful experience there. I was supposed to receive a $25 gift certificate for my wasted time, but Ive yet to receive it. Whether I get the gift certificate or not, I will never return to this place. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Worst nail experience Ive ever had, itll take months for my nails to recover from this. Such a waste of my time and money, very disappointing.

I had an amazing experience here with Melanie. I have just moved to the area, and started looking for a new place that is clean, and gives great service and I found it! Due to Covid, they’re taking EXTRA precautions to keep their guests safe, and I really appreciated all of the detail that went into making my time there so enjoyable and anxiety free.Melanie did an amazing job on my toes and recommended the best pedicure add ons. My mom even commented how well the polish matched these stickers I had on my nails. Melanie helped pick it out, and it was spot on!I can’t wait for Covid to be over, so I can enjoy a glass of wine while I pamper myself. It was so enjoyable I won’t be going anywhere else.

Have gone 3 times. Each experience was different with different level of nail tech. I always get a gel mani. This time I went a month ago to get cute nails done for my anniversary. It went well but the color was not as dark as I had picked out. I said ok thinking it would darken up with multiple layers. It was kind of opaque and could have used another layer. Got them done on August 8th. By August 10th at least one was peeling. 😭 I was hoping to get a week out of these mails at LEAST. So sad. Overall experience was very relaxing just as I needed that day. Thats why I gave 3 stars. But after 3 chances I dont think Ill be back.

I am very picky about where I go to get my nails done, especially for the first time. I just moved to Peoria for school and wanted to get my nails done before I left for break as a you did it! gift. The atmosphere was stellar and Zen Nails was such a cleanly place. The employees are very kind and actually have a conversation with you. I only got a manicure, but their pedicure station looked heavenly. This was the first nail place that had a drinks bar where you could get non-alcoholic beverages and smoothies with complimentary waters. I instantly fell in love with the place! Their prices are fair, as my full set without gel cost $35. I will not go anywhere else as they have the best customer service and the best experience I have ever had getting my nails done. Kelly did mine, and they turned out a beautiful almond shaped red, perfect for the holidays. They also have a rewards program and every time you go, you receive 5 points! The first reward is a discounted drink!

I cannot speak highly enough about the skill and gentleness of Linda at Zen Nail Lounge. On one foot I have a deformed nail on my big toe that I have great difficulty taking care of, and on the other I have a toe that is very sensitive after having been broken over a year ago. Linda makes me feel comfortable, makes my toes look great, and is my partner in taking care of my feet. Zen Nail Lounge is clean, relaxing, and doing a great job following guidelines to keep us safe in 2020.

So I went here today with my boyfriend and sister for my birthday. I’d say you could go to a cheaper place and get the same exact thing. My sister had got the same thing as me and got a hand massage and I didn’t. She forgot to paint parts of my nails was not talkative at all. Nails are see through in the sun. It’s a very nice place but I feel as if I were to have another person it would’ve been a way better experience. She didn’t put my hands under a vent to dry I had to do it myself and there chipped already not even an hour later. It sucks cause the ratings were so good and I would’ve picked a different place for my birthday if I knew.

I took my mother in law here on Tuesday so that we could get our nails done while she was in town visiting. Neither one of us was happy with our manicures, they are thick, bumpy and it is now Thursday and my thumb nail is peeling and my ring finger has already chipped. For the price I paid I would of thought it would of lasted longer for a gel manicure. My MIL had to file her own nails since they were so rough on the edges.

My daughter and I come here often and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Every time we’re here we’re treated very well and always leave very pleased, as we did tonight!

I visited Zen Nails on 2/21/20 and had a wonderful experience. The facility is beautiful and the atmosphere was very relaxing. My technicians were Reecy and Melanie and they both did an amazing job with my manicure and pedicure. The spa staff was extremely diverse and this was refreshing to see in a spa owned and operated by someone who is not an American but values the diversity of his/her customers. I will definitely revisit.

IIm a new client here, as I walked into the nail spa it was a breath of fresh air. A gentlemen that greated me at the front door was very nice and took my name to put me with my nail technician then directed me to either have a seat at there mini bar or there relaxing sitting area.The mini bar server was very polite and had a great smile that was very welcoming.I only weighted for about 5 minutes before my technician came to place me in the chair to start my pedicure.Even though the nail technician was very kind and a sweet lady she didnot show me the menu of the services they offer I just found it under my arm of the chair. Which being a buisness owner and a new client I would think this should have been done first.I picked out the color I wanted to have my nails done in and gave her the number associated with that color. As she returned to set up she droped the bottle on the floor. I didnt think nothing about it as this happens all the time.She then started my pedicure.The pedicure I picked was a hot stone massage with my pedicure.This was awful however the technician was so friendly so I just ignored that.So I rate that a 4 out of a very capable 10 from this spa.I explained to the nail tech that my nails are real and needed a fill but I have been working on them staying in good health so please do not clip or grind them to where they would break.She did the grinding to shorten them and then compleated the polish.This was the worst ever.The pictures will explain.I told her that the colors were not the same at that time, however she looked at me a said they were the same as if I were color blind. This was very rude and inappropriate as I pd 90 for the pedicure and fill.Being offended by only the nail technician not the facility itself I just left. I went home and two days laiter one of my nails broke due to the uncaring job she did on my nails. I would love to come back but will never want the same technician I had. Bad nail job.

I have been to many nail salons over the years, without having a go-to place. I often go for just pedicures, as I just dont care for manicures. I was in the area yesterday and decided to stop into Zen Nail for a pedicure.I LOVED my experience. The manager happily greeted me and told me it may be a bit of a wait for a pedicure but go ahead to pick out a color. Within 7 minutes I was seated in a chair with a nail tech named Reecy at my feet. She was fantastic. The sweetest, most personable person I have had doing a pedicure. Additionally, she was very good at her job. She also asked if I wanted a drink and immediately got up to go order me a cappuccino. The manager had the drink on my stand within 10 minutes. Such a unique experience!Beautiful location and up to date equipment, great customer service, fair prices, and a great pedicure on top of it. I will be back!

Absolutely wonderful experience here! The inside is beautiful and relaxing. They offer a wide array of choice and pay great attention to cleanliness. I love the disposable tub liners utilized, made me feel so much better right from the get go! I had my pedicure done by Bobbie Dee and holy cow was she great! So friendly, did a great job on my pedicure, and always made sure I was comfortable during any of the things she did! I also got a gel manicure by Jolly and she did fantastic as well! Definitely going back!

I love this place its relaxing and quiet. Everyone that has done my full set has be great to be around. However the last 3 times I went to get my nails done, the acrylic became loose within a week. The only thing that had a good hold were the tips. I would scratch my hair and my hair would get caught in my nails. Normally I wouldnt need a fill in until around 2 weeks. Even then the acrylic is still attached at 2 weeks. The first time it happened I thought it was the tech. Went in for a fill in with a different tech and she replaced the nails that came off for free without me asking. Then a couple of days later it happened again with 2 nails. Went to another salon and didnt have a problem. At the end of the day its a wonderful place and I always tell people about them. I dont mind paying $50 but I dont want to pay $50 for my nails to fall off sooner than they should.

Nice people, good work. I have been here quite a few times. I love being able to get in as a walk in pretty quickly. I had an issue with some polish about a week ago (not the stylists fault) and I brought it to the managers attention, just so they would know in case they wanted to eliminate that polish. I was not complaining or asking for anything but he kindly reduced the price of my nails today.

I got a full set of acrylics, the lady I had was not friendly at all, she rushed through everything and my nails turned out horrible. My friend that I was with said Hers were great and she got hand lotion and cuticle oil. I didn’t get any of that. I accidentally smudged one of my nails, I told my lady and she said “don’t mess up my good job, I want to go home” I’m never going back again.

Five of us, the women and two men went to celebrate my daughters birthday and we had a great time! The ladies for Mani/pedis while the men got deluxe pedicures. The chairs are wonderful! The smoothies were terrific!! Also I love the fact that they discard the basin liner and bubble tubing after each client so you know its clean!! Cant wait for our next visit!! There is one thing though while we understand that some of the ladies may not be fluent in English it does make you feel like theyre taking about you, making fun of you when they start conversing in their native language and laughing when nothing funny had happened. But other than that they were wonderful!!

I had a young lady by the name of Tina doing my nails. When I came in they were a hot mess, but she got them looking beautiful for my event the next day. She was awesome, I love what she did with my nails, they looked like a fresh set when she finished. She was very social with me I enjoyed the time spent in her chair. We had a great conversation and she made me feel very comfortable. I will be back and I recommend her to everyone. TINA IS AWESOME

Kelly at Zen in Peoria IL gave me the best manicure I’ve had in a very long time. Most people know how picky I am and not only did she answer every product and sanitation question I threw at her she took her time and made sure we were on the same page with color, shape, and length.
