I had a great experience in this Dollar General I must say. Never has an Employee went above and beyond with customer service like Ross did. This store was extremely busy due to the Super Sales from Friday til Sunday. The lines where wrapped around down to the last aisle and Ross was extremely calm and apologetic to everyone for having to wait so long. He was efficient with checking out and saying hello to everyone who entered the store or who ever needed help he excused himself away to talk to the customer to direct them where the merchandise was in the store. He also helped by giving me his own personal coupon since I literally bought so much stuff and was a 1st responder. But was very Thankful for what Ive done which was very touching to me. I told him he did not need to do this, he insisted. I believe in paying it forward and with the Holidays coming and this pandemic still showing its ugly face, a lot of people are still doing good in this world and it goes to show you, you can find them anywhere. Not to mention this store has more than any store in Rockland . So I found some great items at great prices. So I was very pleased. Thank you Ross!

Good prices and has a lot of stuff, some dollar stores are very limited and only offer cheap stuff. This store offer cheap medium and upper quality items depending on how much you want to spend.

Every time I go into this dollar general, one of the cashiers is always rude. I’m not sure what’s her problem but she’s never helpful especially when comes to questions regarding the store’s coupons.

Sloppy looking store. I used to go to this location once every couple weeks, but it has really fallen apart. They dont have much to offer anymore of value anyway & if they do, its something youve really gotta go digging to find because of the way the stores shelves have just been left & unkept. I overheard Im assuming a store manager, saying to another employee that her manager would be coming in to speak with the employees who kept up the store or slacked in keeping the store up while she had been on vacation the previous week. That looked like wayyyy more than a weeks worth of sloppiness to me though. Some of the shelves were bare with labels on them that looked like they were from the stone age, while newer labeled shelves had other things that werent even in the remote vicinity even of what the labels said. Very unimpressed honestly. Id rather make the 20-25 minute trip to a further Dollar General location than attempt the chaos & scavenger hunt in this location again. So sad how well kept this store used to be, such a shame!

I bought milk here recently and found the price on the shelf was different than at the register. The clerk was very good at calming me down and explaining that I had to go with the register price. I appreciate that she was able to be calm and confident and understanding of my disappointment.

They have a great variety of products. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dollar stores are always great for cards and mailing supplies. This dollar store is very large and in a nice shopping plaza.

Should deserve zero stars. Only put one star because I’m forced to in order to post this review, but I would put negative zero. Worst customer service ever!! All the employees are so rude. I only go when there are good deals at Dollar General. But just by thinking I’m going and the employees I’m going to have to deal with. 1. they don’t like to work there 2. See the employees that disrespect the customers 3. You can’t even ask them the prices without them giving you an attitude and at the end they don’t even give you the price. It’s so easy to buy a price checker if it’s so hard to give the prices. The owners and employees should be the same as the manager now that you guys aren’t capable to make a change to all these bad reviews.

This was the first time, I ever went into a dollar general and the place was a disorganized mess. There seemed to be no end to products being thrown on the floor or anywhere on the shelf. The place was also dirty and I also had trouble, finding any item which, was a dollar or even less than 5 dollars. There were clothes there, that looked beat up, flimsy, dirty, and haggard, yet they were trying to sell the clothes for over 10 dollars and that seemed to be a theme for the entire place,with items that looked like they fell off a truck, yet a high price tag.

The store sometimes looks like it was hit by a tornado, but I always find what I need at great value.

It was a disaster! only 1 register to check out,and a line of 10 -12 people waiting.IIeft my items and walked out withoutanything. The store was a mess,most of the aisles were cluttered with boxes,and the place looked horrible, very sloppy as if no one cared...

I had an ok experience. Store is very dirty and needs an update. Hardly any staff at the store. Easy to navigate in the store with a wide variety of items.

If you are not white, they treat you differently. When I say white, I mean Irish and when I say they, I just mean the manager. He always give me stink eye when I walk in there or if I have a question.But if its a white ( Irish ) person that walks in there, hes all smiles Hi, How are you ? :) .But if you have a darker or browner skin, he looks down on you and gives you 3rd class treatment.Such a disgrace to human society. Hes the one who smokes a lot especially cigars. If you received bad treatment from him, report it to the corporate store especially if you are not white. His behavior needs to stop, immediately. We as customers dont deserve to be treated differently just because we have a different skin color or speak differently than everyone else. Its shameful. This guy should be ashamed of himself.

Filthy my feet were sticking to the floor. And why does the big automatic door open up every time someone walks past the door. You freeze while waiting on line to check out.

Funny staff good people great prices

Dirty, dis-organized, a majority of the food is expired or close to being expired, items are even dusty from not being purchased, often have seen flies and ants in certain isles... gross, overpriced store. Extremely rude staff, always giving dirty looks.. 100% needs new staff!

Great deals on various items from food to cigarettes, clothes, make up. Staff aside from one boy with glasses who is rude) are friendly and very helpful. Parking is available and easy to find location.

Me and my friend were browsing the shelves for a cheap snack and then an employee walks up to us and says Dont do anything stupid Then we proceed to browse in shock and then we were about to check out and a lady walks in screaming and claiming to threaten someone. Other than that it is very short staff in the checkout.

The Hiring process is ridiculous. I gave up. Tried calling the store number for days every couple hours and there is a recording. Unable to reach anyone. Go into store to speak with manager, to be told no manager, come back in couple hours. If its this difficult to take care of business, I dont want to work for this place.

I went into Dollar General over the past weekend and since I only go in here once and a while, its not often I have a problem. Well this weekend I go in and purchase a $.54 card (the only thing I needed to buy). As I make it up to the register to checkout, i put the card on the counterfor him to scan and to get my wallet out, unfortunately I had a pack of cigarettes in the way to get my wallet out (and yes I know smoking is bad)..I pull out my cigarettes and put them in my hand and the guy asks me if I was buying them which I then state no I came in with them. The guy takes them out of my hand and scans them. So I look at him and state that I am not paying for them since I came in with them and start explaining to him that the cigarettes are behind the counter in a case. How am I supposed to just walk behind the register to take a pack off the shelf when I am not authorized behind the shelf? At this point I am beyond shocked at the cashiers behavior and how he went about it. I did end up purchasing the card and the manager did take the cigarretes that I owned off the order but I will say I am very disapointed in their service and dont plan on coming back in there.. There are many other places I would reccomend before going to this Dollar General.

The manager clearly has no customer service skills. Ive been a retail manager for 12 years. Ive never met someone so rude. I was in the store for about a minute and he told his employee to kick us out. Never going here again.

Horrible customer service. All I wanted to do was check out, there were zero cashiers in the front, the entire store. Waited around 20 minutes for the girl to come out to front from where-ever she was and then proceeds to tell me the sale (which is advertised in their flyer) is not valid. UM, HELLO ITS IN YOUR FLYER, you give the customer the discount. Never again!!
