I am by no means a website wizard so when my site went down I was kind of lost to be honest. James called and explained to me the site was down because my SSL had expired. Despite being on auto renew with GoDaddy they DID NOT handle it for me. GoDaddy charged $199 for 1 year service that sslguru said they could do 3 years for the same price. Since GoDaddy left my site in this mess I got that refunded and James had my site back up in less than 30 minutes. Couldnt recommended the gurus high enough!

Dan contacted us that our SSL Certificate was going to expire. We dropped the ball & accidentally let it expire. Our email and website were not working properly. I contacted Dan and he had it done within 30 minutes for us- and the price was better than most others I researched. I was reluctant because some of the bad reviews, but I would highly recommend now!

If you receive a call from SSL Guru regarding your SSL certificate expiring just know that they are trolling the web looking for expired certificates to try to drum up business. I messed up by allowing them to install the certificate which I didnt end up needing and they would not refund me or give me a credit. I would not recommend them.

These guys are not only great because they call you if your site goes down, but they can get it back up within the hour if your SSL is expired. I switched over to hosting with them (Ionblade hosting) because of the exceptional customer service which I’ve NEVER experienced while using Godaddy.

Just off the phone with a tech rep his name is Jimmy Hill. Great service. they left two messages to remind me that my SSL certificate is going to be expiring soon. I called him back and asked some tough questions as I am not really familiar with their service at all. Jimmy did not take it personally, instead he answered every single one of my questions in a professional and honest way which I was quite impressed. I followed up and crossed check what he has told me and it turned out everything he said is true and correct. I might ended not use their service this time, as my web hosting company seems able to provide such service for free (well I paid in lum-sum already, to be exact), and I will use this company for my future service if needed and definitely appreciate the great work Jimmy has put in, although this is not sale for him, but I think he deserves a big thumb up for the way how he treats his work and how to turn a non customers into a potential one in the future!

Total nightmare. Purchased an SSL with a one-year subscription and auto renewal. SSLGURU charged my CC three months before renewal date giving me no opportunity to cancel. Requested a refund. They gave me a store credit. I then had to fill out a form and mail it via USPS to get a CC refund. That was weeks ago. Still waiting. They dont reply to my emails

I have been going with this company for a long time now, and have had really great experiences with them. I dont understand the bad reviews here, except the bit about some hard sales tactics. That does happen a bit, but isnt really a bad thing, as its good to know that you are going to expire.

Scammers. Cold-called my small biz client and made it sound like they were from his web host. Completely overcharged him. Fortunately he texted me to let me know and I helped him cancel the charge.They were just cold calling small web pages with soon-to-expire SSLs. And they’re probably successful in fleecing naive non-techies. Disgusting.

On November 5th, my website went down and immediately I received a phone call from Ed at SSLGuru who told me I need to renew my certificate. If I dont pay $199.00, my web site would remain down. I paid but minutes later my web designer got back to me and told me this was a scare tactic which worked. I immediately cancelled and so did my web designer. It is now December 1st, and we still have not received credit to my card. We were told we would be refunded. SSLGuru never issued a certificate. My web site remained down for most to the day. I fell victim to the high pressure sales bulling tactics by Ed who now is stringing me along about my refund. I would caution all to do no business with this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT.This place is just a re seller of certificates, I got tricked by one of their phone sales people close to when our certificate was expiring, and their customer service is awful past the sale. Their numbers go no where when you call, I tried every option when calling for technical support and they all just hang up after you select one of the options. I will be returning to Godaddy once this expires as they offer great service and lower rates for the same exact thing

Dealing with this company for a charge that was not authorized was complicated. First, they sent me to an online form to fill, then they seemed to have issued credit but no credit was received. Then, I had to call them again for the reason why credit was not applied. They replied that I have to go online, fill a different form, sign and mail it to them. The person at the billing was not courteous.

The good folks at SSLGuru get things done. After my web-hosting contractor collected an SSL renewal fee but failed to follow through on the certificate renewal, SSLGuru solved the problem for me promptly and efficiently -- including kicking the web host into action when I could not. Support from SSLGuru was expert and seamless even though I talked with multiple people -- Eddie, Alex and James -- and corresponded by e-mail with ticket support. Everyone was cordial, knowledgeable and attentive to details. SSLGuru delivered high-quality customer service that is very rare in todays online world. I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

Cold called me and acted like they were GoDaddy to sell me a SSL certificate which I had already purchased from GoDaddy. I asked for a refund on the same day (Feb 12th) and they emailed confirmation that refund would be processed with 3 - 5 days. 11 days later and no refund, but they sent an email indicating that I now have a credit balance with SSLGuru and that I can sign a form certifying under penalty of perjury that I am a valid member in good standing in order to expedite the review of your account for possible refunds. No mention of what I am certifying that I am a member of. This appears to be a high pressure telephone sales scam.
