All the staff were nice and helpful from the front desk staff, the technician to the dentist on site. I didnt feel pressured into getting other work done and was able to focus on the problem I made the visit for. I was very pleased with my visit.

I just went for a cleaning and had a great experience all around. Their dental hygienist Karen is just the nicest person and even took time to show me how to floss with my crowding. The staff is excellent and really made the trip go smoothly.

I just left their office 15 minutes ago to get my tooth pulled. I am a BIG baby at the dentist. They put up with my nonsense. The dentist made sure I was pain free, except for that first and second injection of course. I am without insurance right now, but the price was fair. The front office greeted me and the young lady who does insurance went over the bill with me. Dr. Guindy was awesome, funny and very fast. The assistant (I didnt catch her name) was very kind and soothing. The only thing I dont like is the up-selling they do, but you are always able to say no. I had as good of an experience that you can have at the dentist.

The service was excellent. The associates were professional, polite and very customer oriented. I was very pleased and I would refer my friends and associates to Western Dental. Also, Dr. Altunis was / is the reason I initially came to Western Dental in Pasadena. Thanks totally!! Karen was my dental hygienist and was very competent, professional and she did a great cleaning job on my teeth.

Never get your teeth cleaning done here. Their deep cleaning costs $750. And they will charge you more for hydrogen peroxide irrigation that you can easily buy from 99 cents store. I had to go to other clinic to get a cheaper price. Also, I had my worst regular cleaning here. Dental Hygienist just put a paste and brushed my teeth with a tool without even checking if there are plaques that has to be removed. Literally 10 minutes of procedure and 30 minutes of waiting. Their Western Dental insurance doesn’t really cover much. Waste of time and money.

Western Dental turned out to be better than I expected.

Horrible. Damaged my permanent retainer during cleaning. I only noticed a few days after since it started to get loose. When I tried to come back in order for them to remove the retainer, they canceled my appointment and told me I should go somewhere else. To be short: I ended up worse off after my visit without any help or support. AVOID!

This company care just about money i tell them i will stop working and that i wanted to make sure to be pay off the total and sorpresa they charged me with the last payment saying it didn went throug i ask them per proof and never send me any ...but the send me to colection.. recently a company call me that i own almost 1000 is this fear....think about it..i found no honesty and care about people.

Awful place! I went in open minded to this new office as I lost my employer Delta Insurance via former employer and this location is close to my residence and within my Medi-Cal plan. Despite the mostly bad reviews, there were some good ones, so I went in with an open mind with regard to expectations. First off, the staff is AWFUL. I have no words to describe just how bad their customer service and knowledge to their expertise is. Secondly, staff was frustrated with me because I was “a hard patient.” While It’s difficult to do xrays on me due to my small mouth, I’ve never felt so disrespected. We’re all constructed differently. Lastly, I was given awful advice by a rude dentist on my options for a procedure. So glad I took a step back and returned to my previous/trusted dentist, Dr. Desai of Glendora. Saved myself a lot of stress, time and unnecessary process. Cannot recommend this facility based off of the three times Ive been there. My first time there was uneventful and met my expectations. My second time there I was made to wait for 45 minutes with no updates from the staff, with me eventually leaving without any services being rendered due to my appointment time not being respected. Today was my third and final time there, again having to wait over 30 minutes before being seen and ending with the office manager attempting to up sell me with a cleaning that isnt covered by my insurance, without the doctor completing the exam or explaining why the more advanced cleaning was necessary. I highly recommend seeing a different dentist.

Western Dental Pasadena is a money scam. Do not give them a debit/credit card. They will bill you for work not done. They charged my debit card for work that I didn’t even have done and they won’t credit my money back!I went for a teeth cleaning. They did xrays and said I need 4 crowns on upper molars. They said I need to schedule an appt for the first crown, and pay them $368 Up front, and my insurance will pay the rest. They billed my debit card and after I left they called to say my insurance won’t cover any of it and it will cost me $2400/crown. I can’t afford that so I said I don’t want to schedule an appointment to have any crowns done, and asked them to re-credit my debit card. It’s been 3 weeks and I still haven’t been refunded for the work they never did. Every time I call to ask them to refund me they say they’re too busy at that moment to do it, and they refuse even when I get heated on the phone. After several nagging calls to the front desk, I’m now filing a claim with my bank to fight to get my money refunded from Western Dental.

EVERYONE (Except the receptionist in the front) was so amazing! But the dentist is WOW. She is super informative and gentle. She communicated throughout the whole process. I always knew what her next move was going to be and what I was going to feel. She didnt give me false information about what treatments I needed. Dr. Reza and dental staffs are great. But management and corporate is so horrible and gave me constant nightmare on their billing mistakes. And on going dispute (again their mistakes) is going into 18 months. Watch out. They will send you to collection agency even if it’s their own mistake. Even collection agency was sympathetic for me. I would never never ever go any of western dental office ever. Scam.

I am still here at their Pasadena office but so excited to post this review. Its my first time with Western Dental as I have always been to an individual dentist.After reading all the reviews, I had doubts about proceeding with my appointment today. But Im glad I chose to come. I feel like I needed to write this, even though I dont usually write a lot of reviews, because the rating its getting seem to contradict my experience with them.From receptionist to dental assistant, to dentist, to hygienist, to coordinator, everyone was just so nice, polite and professional. Theyre very thorough, yes! From the xray, to gum analysis, to dentist explaining procedures needed.. They all justify the need. Not that theyre gouging. In fact, I have been told somewhere else that I needed more procedures than what the dentist here recommends.Ill be coming back for follow-up but I understand the process. Today was a consultation, then they get authorization from the insurance company. So I havent had the teeth deep cleaning as it would require insurance approval as well.Thank you for making this a wonderful experience!

The worst customer service ever. The front desk receptionist should just be replaced with the kiosk because shes useless. Walked in on time for my appointment. Checked in just fine, sat down and began the longest wait of life. Hour and a half later, I asked what the hold up was and the receptionist told me I was never given the paper work to start whatever process they need to call me. Really! Are you kidding me, Receptionist of the year over here! No apology on her or anyone elses part. They just think people have time to waste in their lobby. I ended up leaving not being seen because I had to go to work. Thanks a lot western dental. Will not be coming here again and I will be telling everyone I know to stay away as well.

He knows his job as a dentist, very professional can’t complain about him and his care towards the patients.He knows on how to give you back your smile.

My wife just got a bill from Western Dental Services saying she is past due on a contract amount. She has not had any procedures done yet, and she is already being billed. I called their office so they could would explain why we are receiving a bill and the wait time was 30 min. After reading these review i will tell her to cancel all her appointments and find another reputable dentist. Seriously, you are dealing peoples health and this is how you treat them?

After reading reviews I was so scared to come here, but because I’m limited with options I decided to at least check it out. Walking in it’s small and the front desk doesn’t welcome you and you have to check yourself in on a computer screen, it’s meh. Only took about 10 mins to get called back which I was surprised since most reviews say it takes an hour + so that was nice, though I did spent about an hour sitting in the dentist chair which I’m okay with personally. What won me over was the Dentist, she was absolutely amazing. She listened to all my concerns and did fantastic... Dr. J? I believe. Only 4 staring because I believe staff could be better. They seemed just as lost as I was, but for the dentist 5 stars, oh and the assistant.

My father had work done BY western dental... and apparently other wester dentals can’t help us because they didn’t do the actual work?? What a joke. He’s moved and cannot for to the old location... why would you have all these locations if you can’t go from one location to another?

The most horrible, unorganized, ill-informed dental hospital Ive ever been to in my life!First, their sense of time management is absolute zero. They kept me at their place for 5 hours, and all I got done was dental scaling: the simplest, quickest and perhaps the most common thing one needs to see a dentist for.Second, they have the most ill-informed staff ever! The folks knew nothing about insurance policy and allowances, they made me call my insurer to retrieve information! And my insurer said that they could just get it from the website! Really senseless staff! To top it all, after having all the information that they needed, they took hours to prepare the final bill for me (again, all I got done was scaling!) and kept me waiting endlessly.Third, the staff was really lacking basic courtesy and protocol. For instance, the person who did my scaling just left me unattended with that liquid in my mouth and I kept waiting for her to come and let me rinse at least! And you know what, she never showed up again! This other crazy staff comes to me and says – Your bill is $267! And since I couldn’t talk with the liquid in my mouth, I had to type on my phone and show it to this staff – CAN I PLEASE RINSE MY MOUTH? And later when I went over the bill with her, it turned out that she added some weird amounts from nowhere and all I actually owed was $50!I can’t believe I spent 5 HOURS of my day today at this really nasty, impolite, unprofessional and the most unhelpful place ever!WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE!

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars!! My dad broke a tooth. He doesn’t frequent the dentist and wanted to go to Western Dental based on a positive experience he had there from 30 years ago. After reading the reviews, I tried to persuade him to try another dental company. He’s stubborn. I called and got him a same day appointment at the El Monte office for 2:45pm. He arrived at 2:30pm and was told his appointment was at 2:15pm and they were short staffed and so he could be rescheduled for a different day. Keep in mind, he was in considerable pain. My dad called me and I called their customer service line. The representative confirmed the appointment was in their system for 2:45pm and could not offer and explanation as to why it showed up as 2:15pm in the clinic system. He rescheduled my dad for the next day at the Pasadena location. This was just as bad. He was there OVER 3 hours and they sent him on his way with NOTHING done after telling him it would cost “thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars” to fix everything that needed correction and recommending he have several teeth pulled and get dentures. Again, I called customer service and was placed on hold for 42 minutes before hanging up. Today, we tried another dental company and they were excellent and he gets to keep his teeth. Western Dental, you should be ashamed!!

I wish Google allow less than one star rating. Totally unprofessional, they force you to sign paper that you cannot sue if doctor does bad treatment. They refer doctors by code words Dr C or Dr D so that you dont know their real names. On Aetna websites, they post many old doctors name with good reviews but none of them work there from very very long time. Total unprofessional. Be careful of them. They just want to extract 1000s of dollars from your pocket.

My employer sent me here for a dental exam as a pre-requisite for employment. The staff were very professional and friendly.The doctor recommended one filling, and it was taken care of within one week. What I really liked about this place, as opposed to other dentists that I went to ( I went to two different dentists in the area for a second opinion. ) was that she was interested in fixing what NEEDED to be fixed, and she wasnt interested in trying to do more than what was needed. Other dentists were trying to get me to do procedures which were not necessary, as they were in it for the money. Not this place.I liked her philosophy about dentistry: if its not needed, dont do it. Its more of a conservative approach, and I like that. Im not interested in the song and dance that other dentists were trying with me, in an attempt to just get my money. Again, this was a pre-employment requisite, thus I was looking for just a bare minimum treatment in order to be approved for my new job. As I didnt have much money at the time to spare on excessive treatment that wasnt really necessary, I am quite satisfied with the treatment I was provided with. Again, the staff were great.She did an excellent job. I will be going back.Just a quick note. Some of the reviews mention rude staff, dirty facilities, even cockroaches. LOL. The place was clean. I didnt see any cockroaches at all. LOL. 😂 🤣 . Honestly, if youre complaining about the front end staff being rude, it is my belief that you were probably rude to them to begin with, and you didnt even realize it.To that extent, I close this review saying they are highly recommended.Thank you.

Terrible place ! Horrible costumer service .Left work early for my appointment. They called me to verify my insurance 3 TIMES! When I get there 10 minutes late they said they can’t see me !! Bc they have 3 new patients ? So why book more than 3 new patients ! Oh yea, bc they said they close at 6:00 pm clearly on their site is 7:00pm . And the place looks sooo dirty kind of happy i didn’t get any work done with them.

SCAM SCAM SCAM AND VERY UNSANITARY!!! Do not go here unless you want them to bill you for something you never received and then send you to collections for something you never had done in their office!!! I called several times and went into the office to cancel EVERYTHING and they still billed me and sent me to collections! I went to this office once and never went back because I was so disgusted by how unsanitary they are!!! The equipment IS NOT CLEAN and they do not sterilize equipment, that they put in your mouth, after using it on other patients ...I saw it with my own eyes and couldnt believe it, when I saw the dental assistant put this nasty, dirty camera, that she took off of the wall and tried putting in my mouth...it was just sitting there, attached to the wall, it wasnt sanitized and she did not cover it with any protective cover, before attempting to put it in my mouth! She was struggling with it, trying to take a picture of my tooth and bumped my tooth with the dirty camera...when she stepped over to the computer to adjust something, I looked over and saw what she was using, where it was, and where it came from and almost flipped out with disgust!! I immediately got up from my chair, I left, and I never went back...now Im being billed and sent to collections for something I NEVER RECEIVED OR HAD DONE IN THAT OFFICE!! X-rays were never taken because I was so disgusted, I got up and left that office immediately, so what am I being billed for, if I never had anything done...I sat in their chair, so I guess Im being billed for that!! DO NOT GO TO WESTERN DENTAL...EVEN IF YOURE DESPERATE, DO NOT GO HERE!! THEYRE EQUIPMENT IS NOT SANITARY AND IT IS NOT CLEANED BETWEEN PATIENTS!!! In 2014 I went in to Western Dental to get three wisdom teeth removed and a crown put in. While I was getting my wisdom teeth removed, the electricity wasnt working properly but the dentist said he was almost done and to continue, rather than moving to another room. Before I finished paying the $1300 the crown fell off. Im so irritated and mad because I didnt know that I could file a complaint and that they would have fixed it FREE of charge until today when I called after they billed me for $490 because my insurance didnt pay what Western Dental thought they would. It is 2016 and I am just now getting billed this, and the crown has been gone since like 2014 or early 2015. Im mad because I remember calling Western Dental for some billing stuff and telling them my story and they didnt tell me that it would have been fixed free of charge. Now they tell me when its too late... I feel robbed. The wisdom teeth removal left me feeling traumatized. It was painful and I kept telling the dentist it hurt but he didnt listen. And when the electronics werent functioning, he didnt move to another room even though the assistant said we should.

I had a simple cleaning/check-up appointment at 11am and waited THREE HOURS to be seen. They did the x-rays, then left me for another half hour. The dentist came in to review the x-rays and do a physical check of teeth, made one minor comment about an aesthetic issue and asked about pain in one area, and left. I wait another half hour, and some payment rep comes in to tell me there are 14 procedures (some uninsured) that the dentist recommends. Aside from the one aesthetic issue, that was the first Id heard of any of them!! I asked for the dentist to return and explain why I was being recommended all these treatments, and he just seemed annoyed and would not explain any in detail. I particularly was disappointed that there was no reason whatsoever given for the very expensive uninsured treatment, and when I asked for other treatment options they told me to leave their office to go see a another dentist if I didnt like their recommendations. Also, they assigned me a dentist with whom I had not made the appointment, and didnt even advise me of it at any point. This was the worst, least professional medical office I have ever visited and I will not be returning.

I got my 6 months checkup and was told I had no cavities. They did a cleaning to my teeth and afterwords I didnt feel no difference. The wait was too much. I wasnt even let inside to attend with my kids. Probably the worst dentist EVER. Make an appointment for 10am? Expect to go in at 11:30am even though you arrive 10-15minutes before your appointment time. It doesnt stop there. Once youre in, you wait another 40 minutes.When I got 4 fillings, at once, she damaged my gums where it created a deep gum pocket. Now food keeps getting stuck in it and I complained to her about it. She said if I keep cleaning it, it will close up. It didnt. Now she says she might have to stitch it. Ridiculous. When I went to a different office to get my root canals done, they pointed out that the fillings for the teeth next to the damaged gum was done poorly where more food could get stuck in there moreso, now, since theres a bigger gap in between those teeth.You dont even get what you pay for here. You get less. I got my root canals done at The One Dental for a cheaper price than the specialist that comes to Western Dental once a month. The One only has you wait 10 minutes and the place doesnt look sketch like Western Dental does. Reading reviews of how peoples crowns fell off at Western Dental makes me glad I didnt get my root canals done here.

They said my medical insurance on file doesn’t cover dental, so I told them I’ll just be a cash patient. I was told I would have to “update my insurance on file” to cover dental for myself or get a letter from my insurance company that said I could be a cash patient before I could be seen, which didn’t make any sense. It took so long talking about my insurance, they then told me I had missed my appt, and I now couldn’t be seen that day. This is after getting a sitter to watch my kids so I could get this dental appt done.

Great customer service Doctors are very professional

My scheduled appointment was at 11:00 and I didn’t get called in until 12:30. This place does not honor appointment times. You’re looking at a long wait and the girls at the front desk are not friendly

Bad Service. When you call in to speak to someone your on hold for more than 30 minutes. I heard about their bad reviews but I gave them a chance and so disappointed with my overall experience.

Terrible staff especially Karen Balderrama very rude, so unprofessional! Made my daughter cry with one of her comments towards her! Dirty place! Will never go back to that office! Dont recommend this place!

I have been going to see Dr. Daoudian since January 2014 and I have had a pleasant experience. Everyone; from the Clerical staff, Technicians, to the Doctors have made my visit pain free. Many of us think about a painless dental procedure, but at Dr. Daoudians office, the Staff makes the wait as painless as it can get. I have been called quickly, for my dental procedure, and I have been taking care of in a Professional and Thoughtful manner.I was afraid to see the dentist, because of the two years of dental neglect, but Dr. Daoudian simply listened to what I wanted, gave his input, and worked his painless magic. I had two extractions, and the second doctor (forgive me but Im so bad with names) worked on the denture. I am very happy and I am actually looking forward to my next visit. Thank You Western Dental and Thank You Dr. Daoudian.

Dont go save ur $$$ im getting billed for wisdom teeth extrations and my teeth r still in my mouth! !! They send me to collections for a service I never recieved. No stars for this horrible place

Dr. Shiva the Destroyer of bank accounts was my dentist. Straight up Gangster Gangster. This business runs your FICO score and then proceeds to go on an Easter Egg Hunt in your mouth with Father Christmas as a guide. What a disgusting, dishonest and filthy business this is. GO ANY WHERE BUT HERE.

Bad/ horrible service the worst dental place u could ever go to Besides bad service bad job left me a blister on the side of my lip and poked my mouth a lot I dont recommend this place to no one this dental place is trash🤢 they dont respect the appointment time they gave me an appointment at 4 and called me in at 5 and for doing their job fast they poked me a lot and thats how the blister happened they need to respect appointment hours and do their work professional

I had an appointment at 1 pm its 2:30 pm and I havent seen a dentist...this is a horrible place you should never come here

Horrible dentist office I went in for a filling and and when I was finally in the office the dentist leaves me unattended and works on another patient which took about another half an hour my appointment was at 1pm and I left at 3pm also the insurance coverage is taking why to long I have a root canal and I need it fixed but there telling me I have to wait 4 weeks until they can find out if its covered
