I am very surprised by the negative reviews. I am a current resident at Allyson Garden II. I absolutely love my apartment and the community. I have never had any issues with rodents or roaches. The community is very quiet and well maintained. The staff is always very professional and any concerns that I have are addressed quickly. I can not say enough how much I love my apartment. I have been living her 4 years and it is great!
This place is rodent infested. Stay away from it!! I will be leaving once my least is up... Worse then living in Baltimore City!! And pest control is a joke!!
My fiancé and I are in the process of moving to the area from 2.5 hours away and Allyson Gardens was our first stop of the apartments we were checking out. We made an appointment to tour an apartment 4 days ahead of time over the phone and were told we would be showed a specific unit. We arrived, after the almost three hour drive, to wait outside the office for ten minutes to then be told they had no record of our appointment and had nothing to show us or available to rent. Their alternative to the in-person tour we were scheduled for was a shaky iPhone video “virtual tour” that did nothing to make us want to move in. The leasing person Ayesha wrote down our names and told us sorry for the inconvenience, but that she would stay in touch. She asked us our names right then and there and later emailed me with a follow up and used an entirely wrong name. She also then called us the next day and still didn’t use the correct name (we emailed her to correct her before the call). She got an attitude on the phone when we told her how disappointed we were in the experience and that the first impression of this place was horrible she tried yell over us saying she is nothing but respectful and responsible... would not recommend even looking at the place.
Thank GOD we are on our way out of this hole and the roaches must know because they are really taking over this apartment…. Any looking to rent from ALLYSON GARDEN…. DONT
My family and I were in the process of applying and the screening company called and told me we would be being denied due to not being able to be on 2 leases(our other lease would have been up a month and a half after move in and we were just going to pay for both places and move slowly). Well my husband called and we were then told we didnt make enough.. Why the hell wont someone need to make $54,000 to live here? They also charge $40 for an application fee and after doing resesrch I found out in the stste of Maryland apartments can legally only charge $25. If you are thinking of moving here... Think again... And again before doing it
Worst place ever in responsible and they don’t care about the condition you live... they only care about getting paid even with the pandemic and the difficulties people are facing they don’t provide any kind of inspections nor they don’t come over to fix any problems they are irresponsible I recommend to make copies of all check you give to them Cause they will change you again and said they never received your payment and they don’t send it to you as a separately bill they just added to your rent bill. Also I have complaining of mice and roach infestation!!!!! And they could never solve the problem Erica the manager is the worst...
So far the application process has been a drag. They do not accept ESA letters and they require you fill out three forms (two of which need to be signed by doctors). Im supposed to get keys on the 31st and I do not even have a drafted lease yet...not exactly the stress free move-in application process I am used to. If you have ESA animals avoid this complex.1/5/21 updateMy application ended up being denied because they said their legal team could not verify credibility for my doctor (It took them about a week to come to that conclusion). The day before I was supposed to get my keys, they told me to go ahead and pay the pet deposit and it would be refunded once I got the situation figured out. Ayesha Beasly told me it wasnt a thing for me to send in my doctors credentials in effort to prove she did possess necessary licenses. I did so anyway, and that same day, 2 hours later my application was somehow approved....all in all I decided to take my money and pets elsewhere. The people who work in the office are not the most professional. They do not reasonably accommodate their residents unless you literally force them to.
Stunning ApartmentThe rooms in the apartment are very spacious. The staff is very helpful and kind. They have answered all of my many questions. Community seems to be quiet and they have nice community events for tenants including children. Laundry facility is always clean and I see cleaning people daily on the property. I love the 24hr access to the gym. Its a great place to call home.
Avoid at all costs. Horrid management.
The community is very quiet. The pool is beautiful. Its a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. The office staff are very helpful, courteous and professional, especially Dee. The maintenance staff is very responsive. I hardly ever here my neighbors. If you decide to visit this community please mention Angela M.
As a current tenant, the Rental office has been polite and professional. My apartment maintenance has always been a top priority. The grounds are maintained very well and I am grateful for all the hard work everyone has put in to make my residency here enjoyable
I absolutely love living here, the staff is amazing across the board. I have never had an issue with calling for any request and it being completed in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Allyson 1 or 2 for your living experience.
I think that this a great place to live overall. At times there are issues with the grounds being cluttered with trash due to the residents not properly disposing of the trash. As for maintenance, I think the manager Mike does an awesome job. If the request could be filled in a timly manner that would be awesome. However, as a overall staff eveyone is friendly, professional and respectful which make the pros outweigh the cons. I do appreciate all of there hard work and efforts to improve the customer service. I plan on staying here for awhile.
The noise level above us is ridiculous!! 4 months after moving into our new apartment we experienced a leak flooding our master bathroom it took them forever to fix that! Once that was fixed our bathroom in the hall flooded!! Literally a week apart! Took them about 3 weeks to fix that. We later downsized and moved to a different apartment now we have a mice problem with a toddler running around. Great 👍🏽. Upon leaving our last apartment we were charged $1200 for two little quarter sized stains on the carpet. They don’t replace the carpet every time someone moves out they just clean it! GROSS. No wonder everyone is complaining of mice and roach infestation!!!!! Sadly we’re stuck for another 10months we will not be renewing for another year. Eboni that works in the leasing office is great though 🤷🏽♀️
I moved in here at the start of October 2016 and I have had very little to complain about so far. The neighbors and the community in general are quiet and I have never had any problems parking my car. I am staying in a one bedroom apartment and a for a single guy, i can say that its spacious and I like the layout of the apartment. The staff are very professional and Brittany in particular has been a delight to communicate with. Overall I would recommend living here to anyone.
Dirty water leaked under my door when they washed exterior of buildings. Though they replaced my unit for filter/ac/heat without telling me why, and said there was no mold, I have been sick with lung problems and other issues. When I tried to get them to respond to my problem they would not. I have had this no response problem for other problems like rent payments they made mistakes about, and I wound up paying.
Do not Do not Do NOT move here I recently moved out of Allyson Gardens. I have ALWAYS paid my rent on time in the years I lived there. When it was time for me to move out I did exactly what was on the Security Deposit checklist, so I could get it back. Needless to say the apartment was SPOTLESS. Weeks later I received a letter stating I owed a balance for a stain on the carpet. I took pictures of the apartment & I know for a FACT there were no stains on the carpet. If it was I would take the responsibility but it was NOT. I called the property manager, and he was of NO help. So I never received my security deposit for doing what I was suppose to do. Not only that these apartments has a SERIOUS mice problem . Our first month in we saw a mice jump off our couch & from that point forward we had a cat has a mouser. Please beware of this place. I would not recommend this apartment complex to any one.
Secure property which offers ample square footage and closet space. Laundry facilities in each building. Enjoy the easy access to 695 and 795. Management staff very accommodating to make your property the home you always wanted.
Eboni help me out a lot she is the best and very nice I love her Personality
If it’s not one thing it’s another. First month here my whole light fixture fell to the floor in my kitchen. I’m talk wires hanging. Next the electric sockets randomly not working. I had to move my microwave to the living room to warm my food. Next no running water.. like nothing coming out the tap. That went on and off for a few days. Then when the water finally came out it was ice cold. When I went to the office to ask about it the lady said “ oh nobody has hot water right now” maybe a notice would’ve been appreciated ahead of time. I got an email afterwards... great I know. Let’s see what’s next... now every time I get home to take a shower the water is cold. So again no hot water. Water is apparently free and I pay for the gas... why don’t I have hot water? At this point I’m not considering renewing my lease here. One thing I did like is Eboni, I think she’s nice.
This place has gone down. We moved here in 2016 and it has gone down a lot. The maintenance never fix anything properly. Then they won’t fix the on going plumbing issue in apartment that has beeen going on . My washing machine leaked all over my floor in my bedroom they pulled up the carpet and never put it back down properly. Now they have a new Asst manger name Erica who is very nasty . Not a very pleasant tone at all. The rent is increasing and the place is going down and out dated. People move in and move right back out . I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY. We are getting out ASAP! Ted was a much easier property manger to get along with !!!
When my husband and I started our search for an apartment, let’s just say, we were filled with discouragement and trepidation. We were newlyweds returning from our honeymoon, and our previous arrangements to rent a house, had not panned out as we expected. So there we were, frantically searching for a place to call home, and praying that our decision would not be one ill-conceived from desperation. I stumbled across Allyson Gardens II during an internet search and called, begging to take a tour with about 20 minutes left before closing. But of course, that did not deter the staff from waiting patiently to guide me through the property. From the first telephone conversation to the signing of the lease, my husband and I knew that this community was an answered prayer. It is our privilege to call Allyson Gardens II home. We are so grateful for the Office and Maintenance staff. Their tireless efforts, especially during this winter, and ability to address any issues or concerns, has won our hearts. And of course, we will like to add a special thank you for the new gym!
I have a 1BR and it is perfect for my needs. The rent is reasonable for the area, I have a washer and dryer and there is always plenty of parking. Maintenance is always prompt, I plan to renew

I would tell them that Allyson Gardens is a great family community. My family was offered a great rate on our rent, a spacious apartment, and plenty of parking. Daunetta Hagens was the Leasing Specialist that helped us with the move in and she was very friendly and did everything to make the process go smoothly.
I LOVE EBONI she is right on time with all my needs and concerns I would say it is an excellent environment To start out on your own and excellent for growing toddlers.
I really love it living here. The staff is frendly and so are my neighbors. Every time I call the rental office with and concern Dee makes sure that it is assigned and fixed right away. I made a good choice moving here.
Since my residence at Allyson Garden my rent has fluctuated monthly due to the charge for gas. Since the apartment buildings only have one gas meter. The gas is divided amongst the residents the reside in that building. My rent has been late because of this. Sometime you will be charged from $30-$300 in addition to your rent. When asked if i can pay my rent then the gas separately I was told NO like many other residents. This is unfair when some of the apartments range from 1-5 tenants per apartment. Ohwe have a bad mice problem :.(Other than that the apartments are roomy!
We did have a mouse problem! I give the maintenance 6 out of 10 stars! We end up breaking the lease due to personal issues but they charged us 1000 for carpet!!!! Like at the most they had to replace the living room carpet cause I have two kids and we all know things happen! I had 3 bedroom so I will be contacting them! But for families thats looking for big spaces and cheaper prices this is the place to go .. everyone minded they buiness. I just gave them one star cause Im heated about that carpet price lol BUT WHEN YOU MOVE IN CHECK EVERYTHING!!!!
I lived here a few months ago and I HAD TOO MOVE OUT due to a dirty and moldy apartment. I am a very very clean person I mop vacuum every other day and do other cleanings through out the week.. I would clean the floor and dirt would not come off. The carpet was so dirty, I even got the carpet cleaned and it barely did anything. Worst of all I FOUND BLACK MOLD on the inside of the window/ around the window area (the wall), also in the bathroom which I tried cleaning everyday. I called maintenance about the mold it took them 10 DAYS TO GET TO THE APARTMENT AND EVEN TAKE A LOOK AT THE MOLD. Even after going to the leasing office showing them the pictures, the calling maintenance several times. MOLD IS CONSIDERED AN EMERGENCY and is considered illegal .... On that 10th day, for the concern of my health, I had to move out. DO NOT DO NOT LIVE HERE. THIS PLACE DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR
Do not move here. The pipes are old and break often. The people are rude and the neighbors constantly yell and pound on floors and ceilings. And for the cost, you could get a much nicer place a few towns over.Update: I’ve had many issues recently with the office since they didn’t regard my email about renewing my lease and I’ve gotten online notifications that I need to sign a brand new lease and pay all the moving in fees, even though I’ve lived here for over 2 years. They don’t keep up to date with their residents, or check their email, since this request was made after talking with the property manager who allowed me to prolong my lease for another month while I find a better apartment. The office hasn’t been professional enough to listen to the property manger and keep their word. Don’t put yourself through this hassle.Update: They haven’t been able to fix the water problems they caused by not maintaining the water pipes, so two buildings were left with no water or brown, muddy water.
DO NOT MOVE HERE, PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE, PEOPLE ARE DOING DRUGS IN ALLYSON II. They smoke in the hallway and camp in the laundry room and my apartment is right beside it. I am in great regret now, i should have stayed at Morningside apartments where I lived for two years but i moved here because I need more space. I pay my rent on time each month and me and my kids dont deserve this type of living condition from my hard earn money. The worst part is the people smoking and doing DRUGS dont even live here because I have spoken to the few neighbors left, the other neighbors moved out(that should have raised a red flag). I have spoken to the managers several times but their solution is that I should keep calling the cops, then they will send a cleaner to clean all the debris left from smoking like that should fix it. The secure entrance door is always broken, which enables this drug activity to continue. I am sad here, i am currently speaking with a lawyer to understand my legal options.
I used to think that this was a good place to live but they are infested with mice and they wont do anything about it. I cant wait until my lease is up so I can get out of this filthy dirty place
I moved into Allyson Gardens 2 along with my roommates as a young college student, trying to adjust to being on my own and paying my own bills. Allyson gardens has done nothing but add stress on top of that. I thought it would be a good experience but i should have seen the warning signs from when we first saw the apartment. Our sink was not attached in our bathroom and was laying on the floor, the floor had marks near the sink. And a lot was unfinished but we where promised it would be finished upon move in. Of course we said fine and when we moved in guess what was still on the floor, our wonderful little sink. We have called maintenance (who shows up whenever the hell they feel like it, if they show up at all). We have had it when they mixed our money up with someone else rent and would send us threatening letters saying we owe and they will take us to court. We have had it at one point when our rent was super low for whatever reason and we talked to many people in the office and was old not to worry about, and we started to think it was because of the place not being fixed like it was said too (which we should have had that off since it wasnt fixed for a month of living their), after all of the constant hastle with that they magically sent us a letter saying we had to pay that or else we where going to court. It got to the point where I was ready to run out of that apartment when the lease was up. Finally, we have moved and we made sure to clean up the place spotless, even patched the holes from pictures up ourselves, it was maybe a few stains on the carpet but other than that everything was spotless. I am contacting ted (Who is never around, or never available, and only answers emails if you send them times) and he tells me that my deposit should be their soon, I turned in my keys and the lady brittney lied and told me they where open and when i came they left two hours early. To make matters worse Ted (The scamming of all time) sends me a lovely bill saying not only did we lose our deposit but we also had to pay 200 dollars because of the carpet, which i have pictures only had a few stains. He told me this but lied to my roommate and told him that we would receive our deposit back soon. Calling him he became very hostile and said nothing i can say or do can get me out of this. And when my roommate called he had a similar probably even ruder response for him. Its just amazing too me how Mr.Ninja Turtle was so nice when we lived there but when we moved became Dr.Jerkoff. I should have been warn when i read he was a scam five times in the reviews but hey you live and you learn. IF YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED AND MISLEAD AND STRESSED OUT FOR YOUR WHOLE LEASE. MOVE TO ALLYSON GARDENS 2. I Hope you guys rot to the ground. Bye Now :-) Off to Better Business Bureau.
Parking was good. Spots are always available at my building. The neighbors above (only apartment adjacent to ours) were very loud, and it was a little too easy to hear them. The community grounds are very well kept and looked presentable.HEATING, imagine paying 200% more during the winter months because the heater is a power hog from the 80s. Kept our heat at 66 degrees only for it to struggle to stay there and us be left with a $300, $400 and another $300 BGE bill.We had an extensive mold problem that took 2 weeks to be fixed during which one shower was unusable and a large hole left in our wall. The manager that we dealt with regularly with our BGE bill issue constantly put us off; using unfounded reasons to delay what he had to do. The receptionists are fantastic, however.I would highly recommend someone renting an apartment here if they love paying large sums of money to BGE at the fault of the poor furnishings and admire a overpriced quality of life.
A great quiet area. Ive been living here a little over 3 months now. Staff seem to be great. The ONLY thing is my light bill is EXTREMELY HIGH. Last month alone my light bill was $472.00 for 1 MONTH. I see Im not the only one with the high light bill issue. ITS RIDICULOUS. Like IDK what to do. I cant continue to pay a light bill at this price. The lady from BGE told me its because the property use heat pumps. I tried turning it down but my apartment is cold.
Please do not waste your time moving in this mice, spider web, totally bug infested roach motel of a place you will regret you ever did. The manager TED is a money hungry stealing thief. There is mold in the apts, appliances and walls are made out of very cheap material. You will have hell getting out of the complex when its snow because of they lack of cleanup. This place has gone to the dumps I had my window bust out, while I was in my bedroom. There is plenty of weed smoking in the hallways and loud music on the balconies and please be careful at night you can be robbed. Downhill all the way Stay Away
Adding to Kaelyns response, (I am her roommate/fiance) Living at allyson gardens was a horrid experience. Our Roommate was also bit by a dog (A german shepherd, which is against pet policy) as well as my car being broken into and allyson gardens did little to help us in regards to that. The dryer and wash did not work just as long as the sink being on the floor. And pray your neighbors dont have roaches cause they will be in your house. Promise. It looks all nice and wonderful on the outside until you sign the lease. Trust me, I would pass on this one. If i could give this place negative 2 stars, i would.
This place is infested with mice and my neighbors tell me roaches to. Ive tried to get the apt treated and not once have they came to fix the problem I had to go out and buy my own supplies. Maintenance here is horrible..we would call and put a request in and have to wait AT LEAST 2weeks before anyone came out if they came out at all. There were numerous occasions where they came out to see the problem and we never heard back from them again (problems still unresolved). We called the emergency line because our toilet was backed up and they told us we had to wait a few days, mind you we only had one bathroom! Our front door had to be forcibly closed to the point where you literally had to push your body weight into the door to shut it and you had to close it in sections, top and bottom. When I asked maintenance to fix it they said Yea we have the piece for that Ill be right back with it he never came back. I can go on for days. After we moved out they sent us a bill for $450 for carpet replacement, when we asked to see pictures of said damages there were two spots on the carpet that literally were no bigger than my one hand PUT TOGETHER! On the checklist they wrote in the notes Excessive traffic...first let me say we always took our shoes off at the door to cut back on the dirt because I just had a baby who obviously would be crawling and playing on the floor so there wasnt to much outside traffic (rain, mud, snow etc) and secondly I LIVED IN THE APT! Idk if they think we use to fly around the apt or not but that carpet was not bad enough for it to need to be replaced. I wish I could post pictures with this review because this whole ordeal is a pitiful excuse to get money from someone! If I didnt move to another state I would be taking this to court immediately but of course my fiancé doesnt want to drag this out just pay them the money and move on smh the only reason I gave them one star is for the size of the apt. Since day one weve had issues, move in day we had to go dwn to the leasing office so they could call maintenance to finish doing what shouldve been done. Our cabinet doors werent up they still had all their supplies and things in the apt we had to wait an hr and half for them to finish!
Section 8 is accepted here! What was a quiet building turned into wrestlemania, ufc and obnoxious singing on the balcony loud talking just all the hood crap you can imagine. The same day these jokers moved in was the same day the hood showed up!!!! Not renewing my lease!!!!!!
Im a current resident and Im trying to get out of my lease. Its infested with mice and roaches. All the walls and ceilings are cracking with evidence of mold. Weve been getting sick and unable to stay in the apartment while theyre more worried about if I have a dog so they can charge me 300 dollars over my and the childrens health. The rental office workers are very rude and only attempt to cover up any issues by saying what they feel Im doing with no proof. I now see old ice holes patched so this has been an ongoing infestation. The apartments are nasty and I wouldnt recommend anyone moving here. The apartment did not pass a health inspection for the foster children I have and now Im fighting to be let out of my lease so I can preovide shelter for the kids.
I have mice and the Exterminator has been here 3 times and they are still here. Im getting the hell out of here.
The service is very bad when you need maintenance for some reason they send someone when they want there are also mice that is something disgusting and gives very bad presentation everything is very bad
