I have been bringing my pets here for a few years now. All the staff is very caring, compassionate and professional and it shows the love for animals. Dr Alonso is great and all the technicians are outstanding. I would not go anywhere else.

I am really happy with this place... they give us hope when we thought that our dog was in his last days.. 2 other animal hospital didn’t help us at all plus they ask for so many stuff and take to long for an appointment but Eastwood give us the appointment next day with out asking the paper work.. now a month later I can be thankful to find this place.. and the people is so nice 👍🏼 🙏🏽 thanks dr Alonso!! Also with the pandemic they are curbside

Hands down the best team to treat our pup. He had a stomach issue and their team treated him perfectly. They followed up with pictures and texts letting us know how our baby was doing. They created a custom treatment plan for us. They even followed up after hours to make sure he was feeling better. I can’t recommend Eastwood Animal Hospital enough. Absolutely love them!!!

We are so lucky to have this place so close to us! Everything about Eastwood Animal Hospital is top notch. Dr. Alonso, Heather, and Guillermo take such great care of our two dachshunds. The front office staff is always friendly, accommodating and quick to respond. We have never had to wait for a call to be answered and appointments are always on time. All the staff know our dogs very well and address any issues we have with such great care and kindness. They are patient and thorough, even with our one dog who normally doesn’t like any other humans. The ease of booking appointments and the follow up after each appointment is also much appreciated. I would highly recommend to anyone!

The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The technicians are so kind and gentle with my beloved 17 year old senior cat. The vets are so knowledgeable and personable. Not only do they provide excellent care for my cat, they also happily answer all of my questions and take the extra step to thoroughly explain and educate me on my cat’s conditions and his treatment plan so I feel included in his care. Every visit it’s very apparent how much they value building trust and a good rapport with their clients.

In November of 2020, my wife, our two old Lhasa Apsos, and I, were visiting in Orlando. One of our dogs is diabetic, requiring twice daily vetsulin injections, and an unexpect extension of our stay in Orlando resulted in exhausting our supply of syringes. Normally we buy syringes on-line, but if we have an emergency we can get the needed amount from our local veterinarian. We contacted a number of veterinarians in the Avalon area, and they not only wouldnt sell us the syringes, they didnt really seem to care.Then we contacted Eastwood Animal Hospital, and they not only had the syringes, they provided us with the very few we needed without charge. Although we dont live in the Avalon area, if we did and needed veterinary care for any of our dogs Eastwood Animal Hospital would definitely be our first choice. Based on our experience they are truly Good People.

My miniature dachshund Penny went in for routine shots, and ended up having a bad reaction to one a few hours later. The staff was extremely accommodating and had me bring her back in immediately, where they took great care of her and minimized her reaction. All of the technicians, receptionists, and Dr. Alonso offered kind words and were extremely comforting as I was obviously nervous during her treatment. They took care of her after hours and prioritized nothing other than nursing her back to health. I am extremely grateful for how the situation was handled, how knowledgeable the doctor was, and how accommodating and kind the entire staff was. It has been about two months since we unfortunately had to put down our family dog. We had been taking him here for almost 7 years, and they were the only people he wouldn’t try to bite. The staff here was always very attentive and helped us care for him in his final years. On his final day he was given the most respectful send off thanks to the kind individuals that helped us get through that tough time. Even after he was gone they made sure to speak with us and helped us cope through the cremation process. The staff and Dr. Alonso were very helpful, communicated clearly about treatment plans, and had transparent pricing. They were quickly available for an acute care visit when my dog had bloody diarrhea and were extremely friendly and empathetic. Recommend.

The entire team of doctors and staff have taken care of my pets as they were their own. They look at all aspects of care for each pet so they live long healthy lives.

Awesome experience with the new vets. Havent been here for a while and Ive had to use them three times in the last month. I think their pricing has gotten a bit more reasonable also. It was pretty high before doctor tea sold the business.

I came to this hospital with my Cat snow white she needed to have c section done. In the midst of me going to other places and getting quotes for the surgery, it all was very expensive. At East wood Animal Hospital the cost was cut in half of all the quotes that I received from other places. The service I received was so amazing! I felt my cat was in trusted good hands, they kept me in the loop, of step by step what they had to do, they answerd all my 1000 questions without an attitude, the staff all had very friendly, happy to help vibes and welcomed me. During this time I was so freaked out because my cat was going through a big procedure and they made me feel very assured and put my mind at ease. Since then my cat is recovering very nicely and her kittens are doing great. Overall with all pet places, I feel personally the cost of pet appointments is too high to take an animal in, especially it is hard during covid times but at least this place worked with me on prices and the service was phenomenal. I will continue to come here and I recommend it to anybody who needs a pet doctor. At Eastwood Animal Clinix you will get genuine service and trusted hands here! Love the VIP and the life-time vaccination programs. These programs really encourage and support timely preventive care for my dog. VIP program more than paid for itself, recently, when my Dachshund broke her leg and needed numerous visits. Vets and staff always friendly and competent.

Just went here for my first visit. The staff were great, and seemed to really want to help my dog. They were very kind and understanding, and you could tell they love animals. My dog is afraid of the Vet, and usually tucks her tail, hinds behind me, barks, etc. They were so good with her she actually wagged her tail a few times and walked to the vet tech voluntarily. I will definitely be going back.

Have taken our new Yorkie puppy their since birth...now nine months. Love these guys. They perform excellent work. They have good demeanor with both us and our dog. Got him neutered there at 5-months. Yes, you can pay less for these services elsewhere, but I wanted the personalized service the knowledge that everything is totally sterilized, and the dog was well cared for pre-op, during surgery and post-op. Im not going anywhere else, anytime soon.

Weve been taking our pets here for many years. Dr. Taeubel for many years. His skills as a veterinarian are top-notch, and they are matched by his caring and compassion. The staff also rises to the same level of excellence. Everyone is professional, friendly and though its often an overused description, they do treat you as family. The office is spotless and modern, and they are very proactive in addressing health and wellness. Weve used the services of many different veterinarians in many states over the the years. None compare to Dr. T and the staff at Eastwood Animal Hospital.

They are great and my dog loves them. The last doctor I saw was kind of pushy on there in house dog food but other than that they are always great.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Robert Taeubel. Both he and his assistant Guillermo form an excellent team.My puppy was with arthritis pain, ear infection and skin infection. With in 10 days my puppy was fine.I am very happy and I highly recommend them.

Ive been taking my cats here for over 2 years and just recently my new dog.I love this place, unlike other vet clinics that stack appointments on top of each other they spread them throughout the day. Which makes coming in with my two very anxious cats a lot easier and less stressful for them (and me). The room is always ready for me when I come in, which means no waiting in the lobby. The vet techs and doctor are friendly and before the start of the appointment they explain the costs, which means no surprise bill at the end.I cant recommend this place enough.

Dr. T, his assistant Guillermo and Zoe are just amazing. We had to say goodbye to our 10 year old golden this morning, Molly. It was so hard and we are having such a hard time. Ive been taking my boxer, Kira, to Eastwood Animal Hospital for years and I highly recommend them. The staff has always been very caring and professional, even calling the day after our visit to see how Kira is feeling. One time, when Kira ran away, they even helped me get the word out by posting a notice on their Facebook page.Ive always been given a reasonable estimate beforehand. They are flexible, highlighting which services are imperative and which services can wait in order to work with your budget. Dr. T is an expert who provides top-notch service you cant find anywhere else in Central Florida.

We take both our dogs here, and the staff is wonderful.I was disheartened with other vets that just wanted to put them on more and more medicine, where Dr. T wanted to figure out the underlying cause and make sure they were treated and feeling well. I can’t say enough good things about Eastwood Animal Hospital.

For over 8 years I have been coming to this vet for my Siberan Husky. We started going here because it was close to home but even after we moved away to the other side of town we still wanted to come back to this location because of how friendly and helpful the staff was in addition to how knowledgeable they are in everything they do. Im updating this review now as my husky has now passed, a huge thank you goes out to the staff here at Eastwood Animal Hospital for everything theyve done over the years even on the last day. You cant find service like this anywhere else!

I just moved here and was looking for a new vet to take my two cats. I took my first one in, age ten, for just a check up and vaccinations. I was there for over an hour and not one other person came in with their pet. Was strange to begin with. They took my cat to the back to do everything and I could hear her screaming from the office. She is never very happy at the vet but I never have heard her sound like that. I was shaking when they brought her back and I will not be taking my second cat. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

We have taken all of our dogs there and you will never find a more caring or attentive Dr or staff.

These folks will do you right and treat your pets like your kids.

I would never, ever go back to Eastwood Animal Hospital.Two weeks ago, I brought my very sick cat to Eastwood Animal Hospital. He had been vomiting and not eating for 48 hours. He is a young cat and has a tendency to get into the trash, so I figured he might have ingested something he shouldnt have and it caused a blockage. I am new to the area, so this was my first experience with Eastwood.I should have known that there would be a problem when I walked in to a completely empty lobby. I was put into a room and a vet tech took a brief history on my cat. I worked for a vet for many years when I was in college a couple of years ago, so I am pretty well versed on animal medicine. When the vet came in, he was cold and unfriendly. He told me that he wanted to do bloodwork and x-rays, which seemed totally reasonable to me. Then he brought me an estimate... of $906! This was a completely absurd price to me. I was afraid to walk out at this point, as I knew I would already have to pay the $50 examination fee for just coming in. I agreed to x-rays to see if anything was obviously going on. I was surprised when the vet came back with old-school film x-rays. He showed me that there could be something in his intestine, but he couldnt really tell. He said we could wait it out or he could do surgery. When I asked him how much the surgery would be, he said roughly $1,600-1,900 but potentially higher. I knew then that this place was outrageously overpriced. He didnt even provide me a printed estimate or anything for this surgery.As I was checking out ($255 for exam, x-rays and a fluid take-home kit), I asked to take the x-rays with me in case I had to take my cat to the emergency clinic for the surgery (they had given me brochures on the emergency clinic). Eastwood closes at noon on Wednesdays and this was already 10:30am. My cat was extremely sick and could honestly have crashed at any moment. When I asked for the x-rays, the technician acted as if that was an absurd request and went to find the vet. The vet came out and told me that he would charge a $250 deposit for me to take the x-rays with me, which would be refunded if I brought the cat back for a recheck and x-rays the following day. This was really the straw that broke the camels back. When I worked in an animal clinic, we would give copies of x-rays on CDs or via email with no questions asked! When I mentioned this, they held firm on the deposit. I had just paid $180 for two film x-rays and I could not even take them with me. They clearly care only about the money and not the well being of my animal.The following morning my cat had continued to decline, so I took him for a second opinion at my previous vet, Hunters Creek Animal Hospital. They were super friendly and informative, took a digital x-ray of my cat and immediately diagnosed him with a foreign body blockage. When the vet went to get me a surgery for the procedure, I was extremely nervous, considering the estimate for bloodwork and x-rays at Eastwood was over $900. When the vet came back with the estimate, for the exam, bloodwork, x-rays, surgery, hospitalization and medications to go home, the cost was $656. One third of the price that Eastwood had thrown me for the surgery.I cannot believe the positive reviews this place has, I am highly suspect of their validity. I would stay far, far away from this place.
