Got me through 6 levels of math in one semester. Completely worth the money. Thought I was bad at math but maybe I just didn’t have good teachers in high school! Beware: it’s ONLY compatible with BYU and UVU. If you transfer to any other school it will not work.

Do Not Trust Ology!!!! They are dishonest scam of a company. I signed up for online math 1050 class for Fall 2019 in April. Two weeks after enrolling and paying tuition up front I was informed I no longer need the class for my degree. I contacted Ology, filled out the drop form and waited. Making a process unreasonably difficult on purpose can be infuriating. SEVENTEEN phone calls, numerous texts, emails and even a text from the owner promising a refund and four months later still no refund!!! I never even took the class and still cannot get my money back I would not believe their money back policy for the life of me. Maybe a call to BYU would resolve the situation, a large University should not be working with a company like this. My name is Laurie Bronson if you care to ever refund my money.

Ology is great! The instructors are so patient and willing to help you with anything. I would strongly recommend doing the in-class option as opposed to just doing the videos. I didnt have another option so I had to do the videos and it was tough. I cried a lot. But the tutoring lab and private tutoring were so helpful. Missy and Dave are phenomenal! There was some disorganization in the beginning, which was frustrating. I was told different things by each person I spoke to. But in the end, everything worked out. Ology really wants to see you succeed. Im very grateful for everyone at Ology!

I did not pass Ology. I had a perfect attendance and averaged a 97% on the homework. I took all the exams more then once to improve my scores. In the end I still did not qualify for the guarantee even though I had only 2 late assignments but those assignments just happened to be below 80%. If you have even just 1 of those you will not qualify for the guarantee. Just go into it realizing that they make it very hard for you to not get your money back on purpose. They have good instructors and offer a lot of help. I did the 8 week course so it was about 4 hours of math every day including time spent on the homework.

Ology is the BEST place to get your math credit taken care of. I hadnt take any math for 13 years and I passed with a B! They do everything they can to make sure you will pass. This includes make-up classes, test reviews, and an open lab where you can get extra help any time. They also have copies of previews tests that you can take and study so you can know exactly what to prepare for. The tests are only 20 questions too! Oh and not to mention the, pass or dont pay guarantee, and the payment plan is nice too! There is never more than 8 students in a class which is so nice because you all get to know each other and ask questions and never fall behind. Its easy to transfer your credit to UVU too. I never even took their math placement test and I never will, thanks to Ology! It is a fabulous program and you will be grateful you took it! I sure am!

I attended Ology for STATS 121 (which transfers to UVU as math 1040)Ology is fantastic. I think some people go into it thinking that they will somehow magic you through math, they dont do that. What they do is provide an awesome environment, concise resources, and excellent instruction. They also place very rigid expectations on you. Its those expectations that insure that you actually pass, not your spent money. Those expectations include; mandatory class attendance, completing the homework on time, completing exams on time, and any other assignments your instructor will give you which are usually practice exams that you need to complete to prep you for the midterms and final. Its absolutely doable for just about anyone. As long as you are willing to dedicate the time and when you are there be there. I did a block class so it was 8 weeks, 4 days a week, and I spent an average of 3 hours and 45 minutes a day there. Its a lot, really fast (at least the block was). But I now have my quantitative literacy done and in a fraction of the time it would have taken doing it on my own and I got a solid grade. The pass or dont pay is not hard to qualify for if you are serious about not missing class for any reason and serious about getting the homework done. Users on here claim that the guarantee is so hard qualify for; its not. They post everywhere the expectations you have to meet to qualify for it. The first day of class your instructor tells you exactly what to do to qualify. Their website will tell you if you are missing anything that would make it so you dont qualify. If you dont qualify for the guarantee, its your own fault. You can miss class and make it up to still qualify but it is very hard to catch up because you cover so much material every day, so dont miss class. It may feel overwhelming when you start, I know my first class day I almost bailed out because of how intimidating it is. Just go to class, find your groove, dont miss class and you will pass or you will qualify for the guarantee, take it again and then youll pass. The staff are awesome. Every single person there will treat you like an individual. Each day I spent there I felt like there was a whole building filled with people who had one single goal: make sure I pass math. Its a lot of work but this place is worth the investment.

I have zero regrets finishing my math requirements at Ology! I couldnt bring myself to spend the time and money on 4 semesters of math going the traditional route. I took the 8 week 1050 class and needed a better grade than just passing for my major. It was an intense 8 week but made it out with the grade I needed. Ology was well worth the money. I had taken college algebra two other times 15+ years ago and did not come close to passing. Ology teaches you what you need to know to pass the class and thats what I needed. The teachers are knowledgeable, the classes are small and there is always someone to answer questions in the math lab. If you struggle with math and really need someone to hold your hand through the process I would recommend them. It was a lot of work and yes it was a lot of money but it was so worth it for me to get through my math requirement once and for all.

If anyone gives Ology a bad review it’s because they showed up late, didn’t show up, or didn’t utilize the tools they have for you. Really anyone should be able to do this. Jaron was the best teacher. I had a couple other teachers as subs and didn’t like their methods at all but glad Jaron was my teacher. He is straight and to the point. He doesn’t try and give you weird shortcuts or try to over teach something. I hadn’t taken math in over 10 years so I was worried. Passed the class with ease. This was for Stats and it was the only class I needed to graduate. Thanks Ology

I definitely suck at math and Ology is for sure the only reason I passed. My teacher was great and really explained things very well. The smaller class sizes helps make sure you get the attention you need. There was a bit of confusion with the website and handing in homework, but nothing major. Everyone there is super nice and helpful. It is pretty expensive, but worth it in the end if you are like me and have failed a few math classes already.

I like many others, despise math with a fiery burning passion. I pushed having to finish my math credit to the very last stretch in hopes that a miracle would happen and math would no longer be a general education requirement. Unfortunately that day never came however I stumbled upon Ology and upon doing some research decided to enroll in a block semester statistics class over the summer. I dont think I have ever worked so hard in my life and definitely have never studied as hard as I did trying to get through the class. Tears were shed at least twice a week and my stress levels were through the roof just because it really was a lot of hard work and if I would do it again I would not have chosen to do a block course and would have stretched it out to a full semester because along with two jobs and other responsibilities it was too much. With that said however, I give Ology 5 stars (but wish I could give more) because they were absolutely PHENOMENAL! Talk about customer service and people literally bending backwards to help you, everyone I came across who worked at Ology anyone from the front desk to the instructors were great. Jaron was my instructor and was awesome and super patient. If it wasnt for Brianne literally catering to my needs and helping me any way she could there would be no way I would have passed and all the tutors who helped me seriously made every minute worth the long gruesome drive from Salt Lake to Orem when I needed tutoring. If math is not your strong suit and you need that extra help and attention, go to Ology but just know you will work extremely hard and its not a program where you can comfortably sit on your butt and hope to pass with flying colors. With that said however, Id recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Math has always been my hardest subject. In past math classes I felt like I was really trying my best, but I wasnt able to understand the concepts at all...The nice thing about taking math here is that you are in the same boat with everyone in your class, everyone has a hard time with math for the most part, and the teachers are AMAZING with their patience and encouragement, they understand that math doesnt come easy to us, and they taught in a way that made soooooo much more sense! I took the 8 week course, and it wasnt an easy class by any means, but I passed the class! If you are willing to put in the work, and attend class, then you will succeed. I did the 8 week course a few years ago and it was very difficult but totally worth it. My instructor Michelle was key in building our confidence that we could do it. After passing the clsss I took Business Calculus & Statistics at UVU and was able to earn an A- in the class. This is a good class if you were above average or excelled at math in HS but don’t have the college courses to meet prerequisites. Also, if you have been taking math recently you should be fine. If you’re just a math dumbie who wasn’t taken math in 10 years good luck.Few keys to success:1) GO TO CLASS-sit in the front and pay attention, class will go faster and be more entertaining.2) Use the resources they give you. Use the study center. It’s money. Study with the smartest kid in your clsss if you can.3) Give it your all. You’re paying tons of money.

This is an absolute no brainer. Especially if you’re fresh out of High School—your first item of business should be to take this course and get your math out of the way. Taking Math at UVU BLOWS, and it ends up costing you tons of money. I wish I would have done this during my first semester of college. Don’t put it off, you’ll regret it! The teachers here are unreal, especially Missy and Grace (and Alan). They made the math so much easier to understand. Also, remember that you’re not in High School anymore, you actually have to put in the time and effort to succeed in this math. If you do that, you’ll pass.

I would highly recommend Ology to anyone that wants to complete their math requirement quickly. I took the 8 week stats class and it saved me four semesters of math classes that I would have had to take at UVU. The most important thing in succeeding, is that you show up to class. The people that are giving poor reviews must have either missed a lot of classes and didnt make them up, or they didnt do the homework. Ology is set up to help you pass, as long as you do your part.On a side note, what proportion of the population believes reviews people write, when the post is anonymous?

Ology is by FAR the best option for anyone who either struggled in math or just wants to pass it quickly. I am an excellent student with As in every course i have taken in college........except math. I simply had a hard time grasping the material from day one. In college I was smashed into a class with 45 other students, and in doing so I was lost in the shuffle. College taught me to seek help through the professor. Well when the instructor has a tiny room, and 3 classes of 45 people, you wont see him very often. After that they would send me to the math lab. where i would wait, sometimes hours to get help with one problem, and usually by some poor student that had no teaching skill, but a lot of math knowledge. With Ology things are WAY different. In my class there was 4 people, so I had a ton of 1 on 1 instructor time. Also the math lab always was open and they had real instructors there to help you. I even failed the course the first time, but I turned in all my homework on time and tried really hard, and they let me take the course again for free. I saved 2 years of time and thousands of dollars in tuition by using Ology. I now have my degree in no small part of them helping me get through math. They are the real deal.

Beware of negative reviews - I’m pretty sure those who don’t succeed expect to pass without doing the work which is not at all what Oligy promises.Ology sets the stage for success, what you do with it is up to you.Ology works.Every person in my class passed.100% pass rate- 4 of us in the 8 week block class from me a 49 year old woman to an 18 year young man . Diverse group and it met all our needs .The Pass or Don’t Pay is legit as of this writing and totally doable however you must commit and put in time. Yes, there’s homework - staying after class and doing it in lab is best option !I was in the 8 week block class 1050 - we (4 of us ) had class 2 hours 4x a week. We had at least 4-5 homework’s a week but I did them in lab before I went home. We had to pass 4 BYU IS Math 110 midterms (20 questions ) and one comprehensive final (30 questions) ON OUR OWN - so YES- you need to learn the stuff !I started with very little knowledge, 30+ years away from algebra, legit math anxiety and a truly for real fast easily distracted mind I refuse to medicate .Today I passed College Algebra.Grace was my teacher, she’s amazing beyond words, knowledgeable, thorough and so kind with an amazing ability to decomplicate Math. It’s appatent she genuinely cares about students and is invested in them passing and yes even enjoying math!!!Don’t sign up if you’re not serious and willing to work, but that all of life isnt it ! :-)Thank you Ology so so much .

I took the eight week stats course with Emily and I LOVED it! She is a great teacher and really helped me understand math. I would have had to take two math classes at UVU to get my math requirements finished, and it would have taken me two semesters. Instead, I was able to finish it all in eight weeks, for less of the cost than UVUs program. My class only had five students, so my teacher was able to give a personalized approach. I have taken the comparable stats class at UVU, and had a terrible experience, scoring an average of a C- on my exams and eventually dropping the class. With Ology, I got an A with ease. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to not only get math done quickly, but to do it well.

Pretty cool to pass the class in 8 weeks, if you have the gumption to do it. I really loved the way that Cory instructed, it made sense. The price is a little too high for my liking, though, and considering that it is WAY too crazy to upload all your documents to a separate site and also to the professor there, it was way messy. $1200 for the Ology fees, 600 for the course at BYU IS, $100 give or take for My Math Lab, etc. Consider this, and consider the 800 or so per class at UVU, it wont be bad if I can pass this class. I WILL agree with the last few users, it is really hard to fulfill the Pass or Dont Pay because of taking the tests on time, and homework 100% gig. I have a hard time getting to the test center at BYU IS as well. I started last year, and ended up dropping out because I could never get there to take the test on time (Be warned: they have strange hours, most of the time it runs like an 8-6 and sometimes take summer holidays and other things that interfere with the PDP program). The breakdown:Pros: Good teachers, small classes, easy access to small tutor area lab (until 7 PM Most nights), friendly staffCons: PDP hard to meet, deadlines hard to meet (usually a test every other week in the 8 week program,) BYU IS test center is a beast to get to, and sometimes the lab isnt accessible during hours, the upkeep of the homework is the worst and sometimes the professors dont go through the necessary information to get the knowledge to pass the tests or sometimes homework was really hard to beat problems when they didnt go over it in class. cost.

Ive struggled with math for years, hence why I waited (4yrs) until the last minute to complete the requirement! After enrolling and doing the work I still felt like I wasnt going to finish and knew if I didnt Id be letting a lot of people down! (Im the first to graduate college in my family and I did it with a B.S. in legal studies) So, after taking the final and bombing it, they allowed me to come in everyday for a few hours to study. We set out a easy study plan and as long as I stuck with it they helped with the pass or dont pay guarantee!! Mark, Destry, Brooke and everyone else was amazing!!
