After a horrible experience at another shop Jesse at Ricks Muffler was able to repair the exhaust system that was damaged by the other shop.Jesse not only repaired what was wrong but went above and beyond to setup the exhaust how I wanted it originally.

Jess, was incredibly informative, helpful, and professional. I am so happy with how much truck runs after the quality work these boys put into my truck. They installed an all new exhaust system got me in and out same day and the pricing was fair and honest. Cant say enough good things about them would highly recommend to my friends and family!

I have gone to Ricks Muffler for muffler service for years. Just recently have been going to him for automotive repairs. While they tried hard to diagnose the problem, they could not get it figured out. I took the car to another shop. Within one hour that shop had the issue figured out. A fuel pump. It did not take them five (5) times to look at the car either. Sorry, Rick. Cant give a good rating here.

Walked in with a tricky problem... They ordered parts.. Had me come in the next day at 1 PM.. drop off the car.. Was finished before 4 PM.. fast and good.. never love having to spend the cash to get my car fixed but when I have to these guys make it so its not a multiple day thing...

Ricks Muffler really is a great place, and working with Matt in particular has been a pleasure.They did around $2k of suspension work on my Odyssey - everything turned out great.I also took my Accord in for some power steering work, and even though it turned out to be a bigger project than expected, they stuck with it until it was fully resolved.

Ricks Muffler did a terrific job. I took my Camaro in to have a MBRP performance exhaust installed, replacing my stock exhaust. The tech doing the install was meticulous, checking and re-checking clearances and gaps over and over as he tightened everything, making sure that it was perfect. And the end result is that it was perfect. I was so impressed that I tipped the installer, and I have NEVER before tipped anyone that has worked on my car. That should tell you something. Rick is fair and honest with his pricing. If you are looking for a good place to take your car, this is it. I cant emphasize how impressed I was with the entire experience, and everyone was friendly and professional from the guys doing the install to the people at the front desk. These guys have it going on!

We have had Ricks Muffler do several repairs for us. They were originally recommended to us by a good friend. We have had some good experiences with them but today they just went way above and beyond. We had them do a brake change and when the car came away the AC wasnt working. Could have just been a coincidence and unlucky timing but they didnt charge us for fixing the AC. Also they stayed late on a Friday to finish the repair because they new we were hoping to take the car out of town. Really exceptional. We are new to town and this is the only pace well be taking our cars.

Would refuse to work on my car unless I bundled there packages together. I came with my own parts and they wouldnt fix it unless I use theirs, and I just wanted labor done, and instead they insisted on tacking on other prices, Im sure maybe this was either a bad day or poor salesmanship but either way Im not comfortable using this establishment

Ricks Muffler is great! My dad recommended them to me a few years ago and I have been going to them ever since. They have taken great care of us and our cars, everything from exhaust trouble to regular oil changes. They are great to work with and are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Took it in to have a guy named Jesse work on it. Dude did great work and charged me an amount I could hardly argue as anything less than reasonable. Wish I wouldve taken my car there sooner. Master Muffler wanted a crazy amount to do the same work!

Visited Ricks on the advice of another mechanic for an AC problem with my 2009 Tacoma. Dropped by at 3:30pm and they were booked for the rest of the day. The gentleman at the counter, Matt, suggested I come back the next day at 8am. I told him I was unable to do so due to a previous commitment and that we were driving back to Idaho right after that commitment. He said hang on a second. He disappeared and came back and asked for my keys and said, we will fit you in somehow. They did and the AC now works like new. Great crew, great attitudes, great service. Will recommend them to everyone I know in Utah. And a big shout out to Matt for a great dinner recommendation as well!

Ricks Muffler and auto repair has done previous work on my truck so it was a no brainer that I bring it down to them to do more. They got it done in record time. These guys are amazing, we had an appointment and they were quick and efficient. Being from out of town we expected several hours of wait time, but they only took a couple for our exhaust manifold and even found and repaired a second exhaust leak. Matt helped us do a basic diagnosis on our car. He took his time and didn’t sugar coat anything. He was very helpful. The other place we went to charged us $30 and spent only 15 minutes checking the car. He spent an hour and did it for free. We will come back here next time we have a car issue for sure.

I had an error code pulling on my vehicle, and it was constantly being misdiagnosed by mechanics as an O2 sensor issue when (unbeknownst to me) it was an exhaust leak. This was preventing me from renewing my registration, leading to a lot of stress. I ended up bringing it to Rick’s as a last resort, and within 40 minutes they had not only found the issue (rusted hole in muffler/pipe), but welded it and charged me a very, very fair price for it. Really nice guy at the front desk as well. Highly recommended!

This place is awesome! i recently had my A/C fixed as well as new tie-rods and struts in the front. my driver door hadnt opened from the inside from the inside (i had to roll my window down and reach my hand outside to open my door) they also fixed that for me and DIDNT EVEN CHARGE ME. this place is awesome! Matt is super helpful and this place is extremely honest.

A bit late on this review, but I had to have a catalytic converter replaced on my red Chevy Blazer about two years ago. I had purchased the part myself and just needed a shop to install it. I called around to a bunch of shops and Ricks was the best price by far. They did a great job and I was in and out in under 40 minutes. The truck passed emissions and was back on the road. Two years later, not a single issue. Great job guys, and thanks.

Rick is a great guy! I pulled my car in with my muffler 6 inches off the ground, one hour before they closed on a Friday afternoon. They got me in and out within 30 minutes. Fair price and they didnt beat around the bush when giving me options for the repair.

I had an exhaust leak on my vehicle and upon arrival they mentioned what the problem might be. Within 10 minutes they confirmed what the issue was and it was what they expected. They had it fixed quickly and I was out the door in 30 minutes with paying much less than I thought I would be paying. I dont think Ive ever been in and out of a shop that fast. Would gladly return in the future for them to work on my vehicles.

Update Jan 6 2021: I took my Ford F-150 Crew Cab in to have the exhaust manifolds replaced. I was again amazed by the quality of the work and the awesome customer service. Very reasonable on the price and a most excellent job on the work. Highly recommend these guys!----------------3 yrs ago: I tried to weld my own muffler. After a huge fail I called Ricks Muffler. They were amazing. They got me in the same day and their price was very affordable. I inspected their work and was amazed again by how nice of a weld they did. Beautiful work! So glad I called them.

As someone who knows nothing about cars it can be very intimidating to go to the mechanic, however I had a great experience with Rick’s Muffler. Their customer service was excellent, they took the time to sit down and patiently explain the issue, the method to fix it, and kindly answered all of my questions. So nice!! They were fair priced and got my car running smoothly again!

When a shop has 4.9 review stars out of 5 you have to at least check them out to see if they are legit ratings. I can attest from my short experience, that they are legit ratings.I grew up the son of a mechanic and school teacher, so when I go into a shop because I have an idea of what exactly I need them to fix, how it should be fixed and what it should take, cost and time wise to do it. But even more importantly than this is that I put a higher value on a place where Im not left feeling as though Im bothering them or their mechanics when I walk through and ask questions, present the details of my problem. This is the place if you want to experience friendly and knowledgeable people who act like they really want your business.I went into their office with a simple need. I needed an exhaust piece from one of my motorcycles flared so it would mate up to my new muffler. I explained to Rick (yes Rick actual is the owner and works there!) my need and what I thought. He gave his thought and ideas on how to solve it and said hed be right back. He came back out with my exhaust piece flared and it mated up perfectly to my muffler. I asked him the charge for his time and tooling and he said, $10. Wow, in a day where a shop would try to shake me for $50 for a 2-minute job this was unexpected. I gladly reached for my wallet to find the only cash I had was $4. I pulled my debit card out and told him to take it out of it. He said to give me the $4 cash and said I was good.As I started to walk out I told him that I really appreciated his expertise, service and for cutting me a break. I then told him that the reviews I saw online must have been all correct and true. He said yes they were, and that even though he was approached before by a company who said they could swipe the bad reviews off he remained honest and steadfast that everyone should stay. This my friends is a man of integrity. He and the other mechanic I dealt with were friendly, welcoming and even before the break he cut me, I got the feeling I was dealing with some very honest people. When you find honest people (a bit of a rarity) in the mechanic industry you stick with them, go back to have them do your work. Because of this, Ricks will be the next place I take my vehicle to when I need service or repair.

My family has a friend who works here, so weve been going here for several years for their work on our vehicles. I just bought a used car and it needed a new Catalytic Converter which they replaced, no hassle, and were very polite. They even charged me a decent amount for the work they had to do on it, which was so sweet and awesome! Its a really good place to go for a quick check-up to find out whats wrong with your vehicle when you hear something strange or feel your car doing something weird. Two-thumbs up, definitely.

Ricks Muffler helped me replace both front ball joints, and my gas tank. They only asked for about half of what every other place requested ($$$) in order to fix up my newly bought vehicle. I appreciate how they treated me as I went through this unfortunate but necessary process. They were hardworking, truthful in their answers to my questions, and concerned about me. I couldnt have asked for a more honest mechanic. I took my vehicle to Rick and told him my exhaust had a hole in it, but that the dealer wanted to charge me more to get the whole exhaust replaced. He took it in on his lift and looked at the issue. Came back and told me that he could fix the part of the exhaust that had a hole in it, and save me money, but that he was concerned that because the vehicle was at about 100k miles, I may have to end up coming back to replace the catalytic converter and then spend twice as much money. He then told me that the price the dealer quoted me was fair because it included the catalytic converter and that it was a good idea to change it out via the dealer (if they could do it for the price I mentioned). I thanked him for his honesty and asked him how much I owed for having him spending 45 minutes looking under the car and putting it on your lift to generate your report? He said nothing. I felt bad he spent so much time for not getting the opportunity to make any money so I wanted to let others know that here is a great mechanic that isnt out to take advantage of you but give you honest truth and not charge an arm and a leg for service. He was kind, courteous and incredibly honest. Will be going back to him for all future service because of this!

This place is awesome. My family car was filling the cabin with exhaust. In less than an hour, Jess had the issue identified, repaired, and put back together. He even showed me my cracked exhaust manifold before he welded it. No shady price stuff, no grumpy/condescending mechanics, no nonsense. Just fast, friendly, fair-priced service from people who obviously know what theyre doing. They even have super comfy waiting chairs, and fast internet (I got ~25 mbps). 10/10, would recommend!

Ive put to many mechanics to have work done including jiffy lube, point S and many other chain mechanics. I have NEVER had a more honest AND inexpensive work done. EVER.They are a full service shop, do yourself a favor and go to them for anything. First mechanic that I havent had to make a correction to a bill.
