Honestly the best place I’ve ever had my hair done at. Ask for Gabrielle… I’m a person that is short on words and straight to the point. I walk in as a “walk in” my first cut there to try it out. He asks me straight up, what do you want. I tell him and in less than 30 minutes, I’m out with a fresher cut than I’ve ever gotten at a hair salon in my life. Real skills, real service. Respect.

Started with 2 people in front of me, dude said 25-30 minute wait. They ended up taking 2 other people in front of the 2 I was behind. I’m sure if you know these barbers, you’ll get great service. They do not care to take new clients, and the service shows it.Not a single mask in sight, they even looked at me funny for wearing one. 👍🏼 #whatpandemicSmash or pass? Hard pass. They obviously don’t need new business. 0/10... thanks for wasting my morning. I’ll take my money somewhere else

We had a reservation for 5pm. The visit rolled into almost 30 minutes past and still waiting. What bothered me the most is there were 4 barbers available while only one was working with another guest. The other 3 barbers were simply glued to their cell phones with no awareness or regard that we had been waiting for quite a while. When one of the free barbers got up to leave the shop I asked if we could see one of the available barbers instead of waiting for the other only gentleman working. He acknowledged and said ok. Why did it take having to ask for them to be aware of us for them to notice? This was a first time there. Typically a first time guest is the most important. Not likely we will return. Team needs training on client experience.

If you make an appointment here make sure you tell them when you walk in cause they dont check when the next chair opens. Also be prepared to wait appointment or not i make appointments every time and ive still had to wait anywhere from 10mins to 45mins. Sometimes they will shave your beard and use a strait razor around your edges sometimes they dont even offer i dont understand that but still best haircut in town.

Best haircut Ive ever gotten in my life

Had a simple fade around long hair, looked relatively decent before i pulled my hair back out of a ponytail, about half of the hair was left uncut, and had to re-do it myself. Not to mention, the 1 hour wait time. I left for an hour came back and had to wait an additional hour and a half while they called other people ahead of me. Worst experience at a barber Ive had and i am glad to say I will not be returning. I generally do not write reviews but this is just unnacceptable.Thanks.

I have always gone to this barbershop since I moved here from Boston... I’m extremely picky about who I let cut my hair, but I have to say all of the barbers are very good and I especially recommend Eric or Ricky... great attention to detail, straight razor, eyebrows... the works... I highly recommend studio 51 in north port if you want a clean cut, sharp lines, and a great atmosphere.

Only one barber had a mask on this was scary being in this barber shop and they had no mask on and the clients walks in withot mask..I was scared theyre also not cheap I paid almost 75 for 3 hair cuts..It was the fact that they just didnt wear mask that got me ...were in a pandemic people..loosing lives from this sickness

Been going to studio 51 since it first opened in Port Charlotte 5 years ago. They are the best at what they do and they always make you feel welcome. The prices are good and the experience is amazing. I recommend this place for anyone who needs a good cut!

Very unprofessional! The barber spent more time on his phone then cutting my hair. Checked his phone to respond to texts every time he got one. Then all the profanity in the conversation with co-workers started. My card was even overcharged after the pending charge cleared my account. Unbelievably disappointed...

Where should you take your child for their first haircut? I often hear this question asked. I found the answer. They did a great job on my 1yr 3mo old grandson. When it comes to fine, blonde, baby hair, clippers are all the only thing that should be used. Scissors always leave lines where the cuts were made. Barbers have more education on the use of clippers than most hairstylists. The Barber at Studio 51 was able to give my grandson a neat haircut even when he wouldnt stand still! He was quick about it too. My grandson hardly had time to get fussy. This place is friendly! Everyone there was talking, joking, and having a good time. When I got home my daughter loved her sons hair so much she went straight there to have her hair trimmed too! Now her hair looks great as well.

Studio 51 in Sarasota is a great place to go to chill and get a great haircut and have good conversation. Even the patrons waiting are cool to chat with. Everyone is friendly, prices are fair and they do an awesome job. They great with kids also.

I dont know how this barbershop got all these good reviews, but my experience here want good at all. First of all, the place is super noisy( they leave the music so high it hurts your ears) dirty, stinky and the barbers arent professional at all. With all the confusion and the barber dancing while he cuts your hair, they also dont speak English well, so you have a real hard time understanding them. I asked my barber to leave it long on top and he just completely shaved my head. I would highly advise against this place. It is also more expensive compared to other good franchise places that are MUCH more worth going to.

Joey is always amazing! So is everyone at 51! My son loves getting his hair cut there and the staff always makes my daughter and I feel so welcomed. Great group of people and wouldnt go anywhere else.

Pretty busy place you may have a wait if your a walk in. They have a nice waiting area with a couple tvs with various shows to watch. I took my 3 year old son for his first hair cut...very patient with him. I brought a pic of the cut I wanted and the cut he got was identical. Would definitely recommend. The place was VERY busy so Im guessing Im not the only person. Who feels this way. Definitely worth the wait I had!

I do believe they have great barbers but customer service is very poor. On more than one occasion I have set an appointment and was skipped or the guy wasnt there on time. I wont mention names but some of the guys only care about the highest paying client and not customer service. People should feel welcomed and appreciated but I always leave frustrated. I can never get the same person and I always wait at least an hr. The only reason I give a 2 is because I respect hard work and know they only make the cash they earn. I walked in one day when they were slammed and said can I make a appointment for tomorrow. Of course they said yes and I ended up with a different Barber and still waited 40 mins. That resulted in my hairline being pushed back big time. Soon as I got home my girl says, I know you dont like that

This barbershop.Havent had a bad experience yet... in fact theyve only gotten better! A weekly or biweekly visit to trim my beard is now on my schedule.

Where did the good reviews come from??? Worst haircut in 65 years, possibly. I walked in with about 4 inches long, asked him to take half off all around. He confirmed with a colleague that spoke English what I wanted, then proceeded to shave my head. Maybe he was buzzed up on something, dancing and singing. I have nothing against being happy but hey, do your job! Maybe if youre fluent in Spanish youll have a better experience, if you dont mind the blaring music competing with the cartoons on the other TV, the broken chairs, employees chowing down on their snacks while working. Just go to the franchise shops, at least theyre clean.

Tried to make an appointment today but was informed there not busy and didnt need one so i drive 25 mins to get there. Upon arriving the lobby is full with one seat open with what looks to be a 2hr wait. The main point i discussed with the woman was i couldnt wait 2 hours for a hair cut today and that wasnt going to be an issue but obvisouly it was. Upon calling back the woman acted like she had no clue about the discussion we had and immediatly tried to put her manager on the phone. I wont be going back here the wait is crazy.

First off, I was strongly against paying for haircuts for the longest time. I eventually tried 3 different barbers that where typical old man barbershops. I was never satisfied and just couldnt get the look I wanted.A friend of mine kept telling me for months to come to studio 51 and I just wouldnt. He eventually told me hed pay for my haircut if I didnt like it. So of course, I went.Studio 51 really did change a big part of me.It never occurred to me how much a proper haircut, with straight razor and meticulous fading can really make a difference. I felt right at home after my first haircut.Bouncing back and forth between the barbers here, you will ALWAYS get a good hair cut no matter who cuts your hair.(Wait times are long, always make an appointment especially in season and around major school events like grad, prom, end and beginning of school. Plan your day accordingly, and try to show up 15-30 minutes early. Things happen, and the haircuts that you get from Studio 51 are %100 worth the wait EVERY SINGLE TIME. )(There was one barber who worked here who no longer does, and he messed up several haircuts over the many times I had been in, and spent more time talking than cutting. But I believe he was taken care of.)My absolute 100% recommendation, to everyone who asks where I get my hair cut (daily basis) is always ERIC. Ask for Eric and you will never be dissapointed, he is a great guy and really takes his time. He has been the only person I have really allowed to cut my hair for the past 2 years.Ive had maybe 2 others cut it (both from other shops) just because Eric was either off or I was out of town and needed a cut, and both of them dissapointed me.. even if it was something simple they got wrong.I will continue to get my cuts from Studio 51 for as long as Im in this area of Florida, and will even return to Studio 51 in my travels to Florida in the future.Again, you CAN NOT go wrong with a cut from Eric.Highly recommend!
