I have been very impressed with the quality of service, professionalism and integrity of this establishment. Brian is awesome! He is honest and straightforward and lets you know whats really going on with your vehicle. I dont know a lot of people around here, but the ones I do, I definitely recommend these guys.

Not the place to go! When you call the lady seems overworked by just your call. She told me all the problems they are having like my vehicle was a HUGE inconvenience! This is the second time I have tried to get my vehicle fixed with them but they seem to not want to work with insurance. I was recommended to this place but now I am hearing they used ro be great and now they just dont seem to like to do the work they offer. No one seems happy to work here and she said they are trying to hire people because everyone quit. Sounds like they need to regroup if they want to stay in business.

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Cone Automotive. We were passing through Ontario in our RV, blew a belt, and needed to find a quick repair. By fate, we drove into Cone Automotive and they were able to fix our belt in a matter of hours, and even were able to fix an A/C problem we had been dealing with as a bonus! They were friendly, (and especially gracious with our toddler) and very reasonably priced! They easily could have taken advantage of us being in a bind, but instead took wonderful care. I was recently helping my daughter move from Washington state to las vegas and had car troubles. We went to Cones. They were short staffed and over booked but they took the time to find us a garage that could work us in. We were back in the road in a few hours and got my gal moved.

Being out of town and developing a leaky radiator while towing our fifth wheel trailer was a bit stressful. But a simple phone call put us at ease.Our radiator replacement was done quickly and reasonably priced. With Brian’s advice (the owner), we chose the best choice radiator for our needs. There is no wonder why they are busy because many locals use them for repairs and general maintenance.We were treated like we were long time friends. Thanks a bunch guys! After 2 different Idaho automotive repair places charged but didnt really fix my vehicle, Cone automotive in Ontario Or. repaired and properly fixed my Expedition. Unlike others I dealt with, they were fair priced and knowledgeable. Bottom line the other 2 shops cost me in excess of $650.00 + towing + rental car. Misleading me on parts they had put in and or what needed replaced. For a fraction Cone Automotive did the Job, I would be $850 better off if I started with them. Ill take expertise over ego any day of the week. They have earned all my business and should get yours too. Thank you so much!

The folks at Cones are amazing! They are honest, straightforward, and keep me informed throughout the process. They dont do any work without personally speaking to me first and they stay in budget! Super disappointed. They tore off political stickers we had on our window. Charged us $100 more than quoted, and took a week longer than anticipated to fix it. Clearly they didnt like our political affiliation and I cant help but wonder if that is why they took so long and charged us 100 over the estimate.

I went in to get my clutch done by far the cheapest price I could find professionally and the clutch was a nice clutch.

I was new in town and was referred to Cone Automotive by new boss and co-workers. I needed my engine replaced. They found a used one with less miles on it than my old one did. Excellent price and great service. They kept me updated all the way. That was several months ago and its still going strong. Yesterday I took it in for a check on squealing noises. Alternator belt was shot. But, they looked closer and the alternator was the problem as it was slowing down and was closing in on its own death. They replaced it for better than the estimate and as soon as they said they would. Awesome folks and service. I am a permanent customer.

My wife took my truck in to get the windows fixed on track doors last Friday morning 8:00 am and they said they could have it done before noon my wife called around noon and then they said it wasnt going to be done until after 5pm they lye to you I will never be recommend to anyone if they cant tell you the truth then I cant afford to trust them

Stellar serviceI have had many experiences with bad mechanics in the past unfortunately, but the moment I arrived here it is evident this place only employs kind people who are professionals. This may seem like a small thing to be happy about but I was significantly late for my appointment today (circumstances I couldnt control) and they still honored it. They began working on my vehicle as soon as they could without ever showing a single sign of grief or frustration. Considering this place stays really busy I was really thankful for that and I apologized on my part. They got the job done thoroughly and they made sure that I was 100 percent satisfied before sending me on the road. I had to stay in the the waiting room the entire time my truck was being repaired, I watched them do the same for every single person coming to pick up. You do not leave here unless you are happy with the final outcome and they do it with a genuine care. In my opinion this is a value that hardly exists these days, I know that I have never seen it quite like this before. Most seem like they want to get you out the door as fast as possible.Anyone reading this who is looking for a TRULY great mechanical service I highly recommend you go here first. This is the only place I will be going back to in this area. If there is a while to wait for an appointment it is worth it, I value getting things right the first time. I can see why this place has such good ratings, it is why I came here in the first place. Anyway keep it up you guys, you truly deserve them!

We had the most generous and wonderful experience with Cone Automotive. We came in under warranty for our alternator at 4:45pm on a road trip still 15 hours from home. The owner and one of the auto mechanics worked on our car to find the problem and completely replaced the alternator after hours. They were fast, helpful, honest, and genuinely cared about getting us on the road again. It was our very own Christmas miracle.

After my clutch went limp getting off the interstate in Ontario the day after Christmas Cone came through in the “CLUTCH.” The owners were super and saw us right away, diagnosed the problem and got us back on the road with no charge! I was so grateful I cried like a baby at the counter. I’m very hesitant to give my trust to someone I don’t know with my car but there are honest auto shops in this world and these guys are ones of them.

This place is awsome. Took my truck in for a rear main seal, said it would take 6 to 7 hours. Told them I would have to wait since I was from out of town. Went to get some lunch came back and the truck was done in 3 hours. They put 3 of their guys on it and got it done. Their other reviews are just as great.

Top Notch customer service. Mechanics are the best. I was especially impressed at the fact that they did not look down on me as a woman coming in to get my car fixed but was very respectful.

Bottom line up front: The best part of the worst week of 2019. Would HIGHLY recommend for routine AND emergency vehicle repair.Although tragic circumstances brought us to Cone Automotives shop door, they were absolutely the best part of the worst week I have had in years. Sparing the tedious details; a sudden death in the family had us driving from Colorado to Oregon and as soon as we turned off the highway to get lunch my Expedition went into Limp mode. The Ford dealership wasnt able to get us in for a month but did recommend Cone Auto to us. Between playing phone tag with the dealership, my family, car insurance, the car rental place, and Cone, we were able to schedule a drop off time for my Expedition. They did offer us a discount code for the rental car, which was unexpected and honestly so nice that I started to tear up. (I was a tad stressed.) We got the rental car, moved ALL of our luggage over to the SUV while our 2 young boys played with rocks, scooted over to Cone to drop off our SUV. My husband and the technician did a test drive, they gave us a tentative timeline of repair, we made sure Cone Auto had our phone number, and then we went our merry way...and had to turn back and run inside to get my husbands sunglasses (we were a tad stressed). They called us several times with updates regarding the plan of repair, what the cost of repair versus new transmission would be. Gave us updates as the part was shipped (from the city we live next to if you can believe it. Oh Karma you are a silly wench!) and as they began the arduous process of replacing the transmission they again kept us updated. We had left my SUV to be repaired and drove 8 hours West to attend the funeral and thanks to their updates and communication we were able to drive back at night while our 2 toddlers slept, take a nap in the car, get breakfast and then get our SUV back. I love the warranty on the new transmission and they were strict on their instructions for us to call them as soon as we got home so they made sure there were no problems. ;) Im pretty sure they called in a few favors to get our vehicle up and running over the weekend so we wouldnt be stranded on the west coast.

Wow. Best service Ive ever had. They quoted me at $80 for service (way more than reasonable), and then when they finished earlier than expected they reduced the price to $50. Ive never seen such honesty and compassion from an automotive, ever. Im not surprised one bit they have an overall rating of 4.9!

How lucky Ontario, Oregon is! We were travelling and had car problems and were fortunate to be directed to Cones. Even though they were busy they immediately jumped in to help. Had us diagnosed within an hour and booked with a neighbouring shop (Newmans Muffler Shop, also fantastic!) and were were on our way within hours. Above and beyond service that is unfortunately very hard to find these days! Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you.

I have to chuckle when I read the reviews because, like many others, our RV broke down when we were heading out on vacation and we were towed to Cone Automotive. They were extremely attentive and, while also extremely busy, they made the time to diagnose our issue and get the necessary parts ordered. We had it back in less than 24 hours and at a very reasonable price!I have spent many thousands of dollars at other mechanics trying to fix one simple problem. I have finally found a shop that knows their stuff! My only complaint is that they are not here in Boise but, you know what, Im thinking that they are worth a drive 50 miles each way:)Thank you!!

SIX stars out of Five!! These guys are great. They diagnosed a catalytic converter problem I had never run into before and then set us up with a local muffler shop to install a new one.

Absolutely the best mechanic I have been to. My friends and I were on a road trip to Forks, Washington when our car had some issues on the highway. We brought our car in to the lot that night and the next morning when they opened they told me exactly what it was, how long and how much.They went above and beyond in customer service. Being a very far distance from home they called hotels all around the area to find us the best deal. They drove us and all our luggage to the hotel and told us to call if we needed anything. My boyfriend and I had a great experience with the kind owners of this auto shop. They went above and beyond to help us when we were stranded in an unfamiliar place. My son and I were stuck at the Big Nasty Motorcycle Climb in New Plymouth, Id. with a broken rear end axle. In two and a half days,Thu,Fri, Sat, the owner found a replacement in Twin Falls (4 hrs away), recovered it by truck, and installed it in my sons 1996 RV. Cones Automotive is closed on Saturday, but since we were returning to California on Monday, the owner not only gave us head of line excellent service, he worked on his day off to get us back on the road with peace of mind and a quality job at a fair price.

My car broke down 30 miles west of Ontario. I called my son in Washington, he did some quick homework and recommended them to me after reading reviews. I had it towed there and they were quick to locate the problem. The extent of my repairs took several days so i rented a car to continue on my trip. They did their best to get it repaired as quickly as possible. They were great to work with and kept me informed of any further repairs it may have needed. I found them very honest, fair in their pricing, thorough and extremely nice people to work with. I highly recommend them !

My Alternator went out on the way to Colorado for sons graduation. Cone Automotive were very busy and backed up for days. However, they were quick to make arrangements at another location in the next town. One of there mechanics charged my battery free of charge and the administrator called ahead to make all arrangements at the next shop down the road including directions. They were awesome!

During my drive from Seattle, WA to Durango, CO my car overheated because the water pump had stopped working. Not only did they fit me in the next day, they were hands down some of the nicest and most caring people I have ever met! They love animals and did not have any issues with my Great Dane accompanying me in the waiting area until my car was finished. They made a stressful situation incredibly manageable, and worked to solve the issues with my car in a swift and professional manner. 10/10 would recommend.

A wheel bearing and axle broke 8 miles outside of Ontario. After being towed by Fred, a wonderful tow truck driver, to Cones on a Sunday night I called the repair shop first thing Monday morning. In spite of a very busy schedule, Cone repaired the vehicle and had us back on the road at 10:00 am Monday morning. The price was less than online averages indicated. in addition to the excellent service, Mr. Cone and his wife were exceptionally kind folks. I was lucky to have broken down where I did.

Im not from the area so choosing a mechanic to replace a clutch on my datsun pick up was a stressful call. Im glad I went with Cone automotive. The final price was close to the original quote (slightly higher because I threw in an extra). They knew what they were doing and it was well worth the wait. They were not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. They also didnt tell me that we typically dont work on that make of vehicles like another shop did. Nice people. 5 stars thank you guys.

I had to have my car towed there. Found Cones on the internet. It was close by where my car had broke down. Took them 4 days to get to it. The fuel pump went out, had just replaced it a year ago. Cost was 304.00 dollars. This time pump was under warranty and Cones charged me 135.00. Thats for the labor. The fuel pump is under the back seat and takes 20 minutes to replace. I was satisfied .

My car broke down near Ontario on a Friday afternoon, on a drive from Utah to Seattle. The staff at Cone Auto was really helpful and gave me a price that I didnt have to think twice about. They were very up front about costs and timeframe. My car was all done by Monday morning when I called to check-in. They treated me like family.

When we were having transmission trouble, Brian determined it was a blown fuse. But rather than replace the fuse and charge us $200, Brian traced out WHY the fuse had blown. Turns out a service person from another company had drilled a screw through the wiring harness that went to the transmission.Youll get it done right, the first time and he wont tell you something more serious is wrong with your car to inflate the price. Honest and Conscientious.Brian is OUR mechanic!

Well much like others who have provided reviews we were saved by Brian, Donya and the wonderful crew at Cone Automative just as we embarked on a 3 week road trip. We were stranded at the local gas station and were fortunate enough to be referred to Cone Automative. First thing on a Friday morning the crew rearranged the lot to accommodate our truck and trailer.
