I dont think it goes without saying the quality of Red Door and Hoppis. People... Please read the reviews for there is nothing I can say that they negative reviews can not. They are basically a plague. Once they take over, just save yourself and move out as soon as you can. I can confirm the negative reviews you see on both Red Doors reviews as well as Hoppiss on page are truthful and not these liars who claim they are professional. They are either paid to give false reviews or they are the owners. Take that Corey Johnson for example in these reviews. He maybe a local guide but that doesnt mean all local guides are right. The negative reviews extremely outweigh the positive and most the negative reviews speak the truth. Instead for those who have suffered like us, please report this to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and give them as much detail as you can to finally have them shut down. Thank you.
Horrible company,Sheila Hoppis is the worst, no calls back does nothing they are paid to do! Rid as fast as you can! We have people with overgrown yards, they do not maintain our pool it is green with our pool furniture floating in it! I have more to write but I may run out of room.
I moved into calico corners in May 2020. Since then I have dealt with a leaking roof that ruined my matress which they refuse to replace. Cockroach infestation that I have continuously complained about. They have sprayed twice in 1 year. It is not helping. The on-site manager accused me of making threats and racial comments to another resident and all I asked him to do was turn down his tv. I have 2 witnesses to confirm. The windows are very old and wont seal. The carpet is coming up and should be replaced. However, the rent is reasonable considering the condition of the apartment. They have had the water off numerous times for repair. No hot water for two weeks, which is not necessarily their fault due to old plumbing and weather. The management staff have always been willing to work with me so,Use your own judgement.
We live at Ridgewood Village apartments and we only asked for basic maintenance to be done, especially since we pay $600 for an apartment that stunk so bad of must and cigarette smoke when we moved in that we had to scrub the walls and cabinets down before we could even move in. The windows are horrible and wont lock, maintenance couldnt even measure the window 3 different times properly so now we still have plexiglass that is cracked that my fiance had to silicone. Everytime you close any door the windows rattle so bad. One maintenance guy broke the window out so there was glass all over our bed and floor that my fiance had to clean up and the guy got extremely rude over a simple question. Head of maintenance became rude due to me having a problem with their people who cant measure a simple piece of glass, and the guy being extremely rude. So bc of it being unsafe with the windows we had to get cameras and the only thing they want to offer for window locks are thumb locks?! Our floors have tons of burn holes and pieces missing. Still cant even get just new weather stripping for our front door. Just simple maintenance cant even get done.
Shayla went above and beyond. She is great. Very professional and responsive!! Thank you!!!
NO MASKS. THE EMPLOYEES DONT WEAR MASKS. I just saw 2 if them. No mask!! You are not coming in my home if you dont wear a mask. Not to mention, when he was told to wear one he became very rude and vulgar, IN FRONT OF MY CHILD. NO. JUST NO.
They dont tell you your pet deposit is non refundable. Blame you for damages that arent your responsibility. I.E. mini blinds turning yellow by the sun. Reports to the credit bureau years after you move out.
Thieves, liars.......Too many complaints to list. 6 years in my rent house no problems! That is until red door took over.
Ok. Reddoor management company is an honest, up and up company with integrity to boot!!! They give it there best to meet the needs of tenants and make each experience and situation comfortable and easy. Up to date system in place that allows the tenant to pay rent, put service request, etc. With ease!
Apartments on SW 27th are infested with roaches but they want to raise the rent. Take care of your properties!
Red door management gave me and my family a second chance and I am so pleased with the staff and the kindness that they showed me and my family. Red door management went out their way for us with working with me and giving me an opportunity to have a home to come to in the location that works for me and my family. Out of all the places I have lived and the landlords I have dealt with they are the best I have been treated fairly and anytime I had a concern or Maintenance issue, they have responded and taken care of it in a timely matter. I am so thankful for the opportunity and the chance of being in a house again that red door management gave to me and my family.
During the application process, they were quick, friendly, and super professional. the property is beautifully maintained and in the perfect location. the thermostat was broken on move in day, and they had someone take care of it the next day. its been a great experience moving into my dream apartment with my dog. I would say they are the most pleasant landlords Ive ever had.
Cant get anything taken care of+
I honestly wish that I could give 0 stars.I moved in in April of 2019 and I lived in apartment 14 at their 2415 N Harvey apartment complex and I should have known from the start that these were not good apartments. When I tried to let myself in to tour the apartment the mechanism holding the key wasnt working so I couldnt even get inside but I decided to put down a deposit and move into the apartment anyways. This was a mistake. The people who lived in the apartment next to me kept their large dog on a chain frequently and would let her poop everywhere by the apartments which had no grass only dirt. In the beginning of October the girl who lived above me was on a rampage and broke in my window (Ive attached a photo for reference). The apartments took until early November to replace it. In the middle of October after spending one single weekend away I came back and after my first night back woke up with multiple bites on me. THEY WERE BED BUGS!! They took over 2 weeks to come and treat the apartment and all the while I could not stay there but they refused to give me any sort of prorate on my rent even though I was clearly not the one who had brought the bed bugs because I had already been there for months. The property managers essentially told me that it was my fault and that I must have brought them in and pushed all blame onto me, extremely negligent. Through all of this I had been corresponding with the manager Sheila and she repeatedly refused to have a face to face meeting with me constantly saying she was protected under the Oklahoma Landlord and Tenant Act.After all of this of course I decided that it would be in my best interest to move out of these apartments. That brings me to today. I received over 15 notifications saying that service issues from APRIL of this year had been filed. Which clearly seems fishy. On top of that they are saying that I owe over $1800! Some of this I am 100% responsible for, I did leave some trash in the apartment and my $400 lease breakage fee is a cost I have known about but they are trying to charge me random amounts like $250 for wall and door damage which is nonexistent. The morale of the story is run for the hills and rent with ANYONE besides Red Door.
Red door managment has help me a lot. The office staff is amazing. They will help you when you get in a bond. As long as you communicate with them. RED DOOR STAFF will help you stay in your apartment/home/condo/etc Let them show you a bright side. Communication is the Key with this company
Have lived in house managed by company for only two and a half months but have enjoyed my new home. The application process was quick and took only a few hours. The next day we signed the lease and moved right in. Red door has fixed any issues we have had in a timely manner. They are pet friendly which is something we were having a hard time with. Highly recommend.
They care! I recently moved from out of state through emergency situations, the whole process, although trying on myself and my family- on our end-was wonderful! From the first call to the last couple of days we dealt with the office and leasing staff and they seemed to go out of their way to make us feel at home in a new state, and scary situation. Everything has been handled as quickly as they could. Respect and honesty from staff is a welcomed relief. If they say they are working on it or getting answers, they get them. This is a smaller group who seem to really cherish each tenant, and even if they can’t give an answer immediately, strive to get any issue resolved quickly. Have respect for your home and for your landlord and they respect you- that’s how I was raised. I for sure am very thankful for OK RED DOOR!
I recently moved in to the property on 6601 NW 30th. I had a great experience from the first contact with my leasing agent. I was unsure on what property I wanted as they had a couple that I really liked. I wanted to wait a month to make sure it was not all smoke and mirrors to get me in the door. I am still very pleased with service, maintenance, and I love my little home! THANK YOU, Amanda, Shelley, and Oklahoma Red Door Staff. I will recommend you to anyone I know looking for a home.
My family rented a property from them for 3 years. Aside from the fact that it was always hard to get maintenance out there we thought our relationship with this company was solid. Recently we moved out after buying a home. We followed all move out protocol and left the home in perfect condition and turned in all necessary cleaning receipts and documentation. One month later now and I recieve a letter from them, a final bill. Not only did they keep my whole deposit but they kept my overpayment of $800 from the prorated rent when we moved out. Further, they sent this bill with a balance of almost $300 listed below unclear charges along with a nice hand written note at the bottom stating Accounts 30 days past due go to collections as if we had NO say in any of these charges and as if to threaten us into just blindly giving them more money. The part of this that REALLY bothers me is that this is all amid COVID19 when the whole country is hurting, people dont have jobs or money to feed their children... Hoppis Real Estate didnt even care to CONSIDER any of this when sending my family this threatening letter. It was uncalled for and completely unprofessional to not at the very least give us a detailed account of the charges, payment options, a say at all???If you would have asked me a day or two ago if I would recommend doing business with this company, I would have said yes but after this the answer is absolutely NOT.
Current tenant. The management is very polite and helpful. I had a couple maintenance issues they resolved quickly and the house I rent is decent quality for the price. I would recommend red doors to anyone looking for a cute place in the city
The girl who showed the units for lease was sweet and well informed . Looked at an amazing apartment, and was excited to move in! Paid the $60.00 application fee and was told that my paperwork would be done by Monday and I would receive a call to talk about the deposit . I never received a call back and when I called on Monday, I was informed that I was approved for the apartment BUT they rented it to someone who seen it AFTER me... even though I had already paid an application fee for it... Very shady and extremely unprofessional....
Red Door has been my property manager for approximately 7 years and I have found them outstanding in their field. They have responded timely to my tenants needs, They are friendly but stern when it comes to collections, evictions etc. There job is not easy because some renters dont pay, damage the property and then get mad when they try to collect or evict. For years, I did my own property management and lost thousands. Red Door has made owning property much easier and much more profitable.
I had a very pleasant experience getting into my condo at Quail Springs. Erin helped me during the whole process and the manager Sheila helped me accommodate to a move-in date due to having to give 60 day notice at my previous location. I am very pleased with the staff at Red Door Management!!
I wanted you all to know I had a great experience with getting into my home. The leasing process was very easy, the office staff was quite knowledgeable and friendly and i love my new place. The onsite manager, Cynthia here at Canterbury, is very friendly and easy to get along with as well as the whole maintenance staff. Thank you
Would not recommend this company to anyone. We rented one of their properties for one year documented prior damages properly and still ended up getting screwed for the 1,100 deposit. We paid to get carpet professionally shampooed and vacuumed and they still charged us 175. You could rent for the whole year and not have anybody live in it and you still will lose your deposit. good luck
They were very helpful when I first viewed the townhome. They worked around my schedule to allow me and my wife to view the place. Anytime I have a maintenance issue they have someone out in a reasonable amount of time. I am very happy with the management of our location
Very nice people. Management always making sure my work orders is taking care of, if I need something fix, they are quick to respond and solve any problems I have. Well professional..i would recommend them to anyone looking to rent.
Fantastic Management Company. I have lived in a property they manage for a few years now. The Ladies in the office are very attentive to any needs you may have and the maintenance staff are very polite and professional. Would recommend this company for anyone looking move, or any homeowners looking for a great company to manage their property.
New to this company but the front girl Courtny has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced she got an attitude just because I asked for proof of payment for my rent. Mind you the entire time she was liking post on social media and not once greeted me. They should consider a different roll for her where she is not in direct contact with people
Went without AC (while pregnant during the summer time) for weeks on end. Staff would ‘forget’ to put in work orders. Unprofessional/ridiculous. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend to an enemy. 🤷♀️******Editing review because it was a little too harsh. There are some very nice members who work for this company. Tammra and Pam being the top two. These two women did go above and beyond when they were actually notified about problems. My problem with Red Door has to do with lack of communication. There were at least three times that I called and put in a work order with whoever is in charge of answering the phones. After not hearing back for a few days, I would either call back to check or I would text Tammra and there would have been no work order put in. The weather being in the 90s and myself being pregnant wasnt fun. Being without AC for weeks was not an understatement. The days we were without AC added up to just that (whether it was the time that a work order was not put in or while we were waiting for the warranty company to actually come out).Leaving the house was inevitable. I wasnt going to continue having AC problems in my third trimester. When dropping off the lease break fee, I wrote two checks asking to cash one at a later date (which they agreed). Both checks were cashed that same day even though one was post dated and I had an okay that they would cash it a week later when I got paid again. That wasnt fun.If communication were better, I would possibly recommend.
Some final thoughts for now. Im insulted that they use the good name of Oklahoma in their company title. They dont meet anything like a standard of integrity or business ethics, let alone Oklahomas. They are, sorry, vultures just like the owner that hired them, himself apart of the vulture class which creates the market for vulture companies. These companies, for one example here at my Sheila Hoppis rental, drive contractor bids increasingly down to maximize short-term gain. In a classic race to the bottom, those laborers, as was the case with the painters who served my exterior recently, didnt bother to coordinate with the tenants about opening windows for painting. They painted in place, so they painted them shut from the outside. They didnt paint the inside of the casing. They didnt even bother to vacuum or blow out the paint chips they scraped, and it is an old house, so the odds are around 80% that when I open my windows lead dust and chips are blowing throughout my home. Fortunately a lot of the paint chips and dust got painted and frozen in place, but it is a bad job. The race to the bottom is wild. There is a child next door in this duplex. I hope his kids dont get birth defects.***************Original post: Not good so far. OK Red Door took over the management contract of my duplex in Crestwood and Ive never been in worse shape in my 20 year renting life.I asked them for nothing for over 2 months, though the place is a mess. Then I attempted to schedule maintenance to fix my window a/c unit, also mentioning that the old company said they would add a second unit for my 900sq/ft home before summer. They replied that they would address the a/c unit when the temperatures rose, ignoring the other piece. It was 90F today, and if I open the windows the bugs flood in because there are nearly no screens. Its really a pickle. When I asked them to fix the a/c I also asked them to fix my garage door. It is off the rails, stuck closed like I warned them would happen (pictured). Yet they ignored this issue, of me not being able to get to my thousands of dollars or personal property, instead only saying that they didnt think the garage was in the lease. However, the garage was explicitly in the ads, was a major point in discussions related to getting me to move in, and I believe in the language of the lease if you study the definitions. It feels like theyre trying to force me out, maybe because they are trying to raise rent or because I am transgender or whatever shady reason. Im not sure what to do, if you have a choice think about getting a non OK Red Door Management place. I hope they can clarify some of this stuff soon or at least give me a responsive reply soon.*update 4/10 I tried a bunch of channels of communication today. No replies. It occurred to me that the first time I asked them to do anything, i requested they address 4 reasonable things. One was insignificant— my front door wouldn’t latch. They gave me much less than 24 notice, the OK Red Door maintenance person was 30 minutes early, and he said he had no information about a broken a/c or garage door. I asked him to check that stuff out but he said he didn’t have time. Then he left abruptly 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment start time.He agreed to address a serious security issue with the place, but said they would have to schedule it for some other time. They never followed up.In other words, they sent a general maintenance person to my place, who they employ (i did ask), and he was ahead of schedule, and he did not even bother walking within 20 feet of the real problems. Is anyone still wondering if this company behaves ethically?*update 4/15They said they would schedule someone to open the garage, and that I had to move my entire shop and everything else in the garage into my house; that the garage was not available for use at this time. But they want me to pay for it. Is that ethical? Friends it is not ethical and it is not legal. Id allege criminality.
Oklahoma Red Door Management has been very nice and helpful throughout the two years Ive lived at my residence. They get maintenance right out when I need it and very understanding at a difficult time. I plan to stay leasing with them as long as they will let me. :)
OKRDM has managed our properties for years, and they are great. They get us reports on time and help us to figure out issues if a property needs some help to get leased up. I
I had just moved to the area and quickly found a suitable place in El Reno Oklahoma. The staff, especially Shelley Long, were incredibly helpful in helping get approved and moved in within 3 days. There was a hang up on our family dog, the company wanted to do a dog interview to ensure my dog was ok. That was a bit of an inconvenience due to my wife and dog being in Denver. However, my wife and dog made the trip to the OKC area and our dog was given high marks. No issues, would recommend Shelley Long and Oklahoma Red Door Management to rent from without hesitation. Thanks Shelley.
*RENTERS AND HOMEOWNERS BEWARE!*I had the unfortunate experience of renting a condo in OKC using this management company. The level of incompetence displayed by this company is STAGGERING. Time and time again they attempted to squeeze more money out me. I waited weeks for their maintenance to come by and inspect a leak that was never fixed, which caused damage to the wood flooring. If you are a homeowner and are thinking about using this company, I would look elsewhere! If you are a renter looking for a place to live and this will be your management company, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
What a great company to work with. Very helpful and great customer service. Highly recommend.
Be aware with this awful company when you buy their houses, condos. They are all pushy, HOA fee goes higher and higher and NEVER GOES DOWN. They kicked out experienced board members and replaced by newbies for them to easily control and brain wash. Moreover, they DO NOT TAKE CARE of things they suppose to, what they need from you is money. NO MATTER WHAT YOU VOTE OR SAY, THEY WILL INCREASE FEE AND NEVER GOES DOWN. FIXING COST FOR PROPERTY OF THEM IS HIGHER THAN YOUR HOUSE. Good luck guys!!P/s: people who voted them 5 stars only have 1,2 or 4 reviews. Wonder it is real comments or not??? You know it.
Ive lived in a Red Door Managed property for almost two years. During this time they have been very attentive to any maintenance issues that have come up and have been great to work with during the renewal process. My unit is quite nice and they maintain the facilities very well.
I just recently moved into an apt managed by ORDM. From the time my application was turned in to the date of approval was just a few days. The apt I moved into had some minor issues but other than that was very clean. Amanda the manager who just took over and lives on-site is amazing! She has made many and continues to make changes to make the complex better. Cause like she says this is her home as well. Ive been very impressed with ORDM and Amanda.
So far (about 7months) I have had good experiences with this management company. Will highly recommend their services.
Do not rent from this scam of a company. They never keep up on maintenance and let the property basically fall apart. Furthermore, they charged me for things that were already broken on move in. Theyre out for making money and honestly likely arent even up to code on many things. Dont rent from this horrible company. Many neighbors have said the same thing and one apartment has switched tenants 3 times in a year.
I have had a great experience with this company and they have helped me rebuild the fence at the rental property cheaper than I could do it my self. Trust them to manage it with out thinking it and know they will do the job correct.
I am currently renting one of the houses under their management. They are always quick to respond to any inquiries. When meeting the staff, they have always been pleasant.
Ive had my property with Red Door for a decade and have been very pleased with the way they maintain and manage my property. When I do unannounced drive bys things look well kept and the yard is well maintained. Annual walk-throughs are well documented with photographs, which maintains my piece of mind and allows them documentation when a tenant doesnt leave the rental in good condition. They stay on top of delinquent tenants and are responsive to maintenance requests. I can login to the Owner Portal and get any information I need at my leisure, and look at all correspondence with tenants, maintenance requests and bills. What more could I ask for?
Liars and thieves. My wife rented an apartment from them last year, after falling extremely ill, she had to move back home. I paid for all the fees, rent, and other costs, totaling 3150 dollars. She lived in the apartment for 13 days. A year later, we start getting calls from a collection company. I NEVER received a letter, email, or call stating there was ANY balance due. They had all of my info as the payee for the apartment. I disputed this with collections. She told me to email all statements and receipts, which I did. I never heard anything back. Now its showing up on my credit. I have NEVER had a collection on my credit! Question; is it common practice to swindle tenants? Was 3000 dollars not enough for 13 days in a 525 a month apartment?!
My family has lived in their property for over a year and we are very happy with the service we have received. Any maintenance issue is addressed in a timely manner. Couldnt be happier!!!
I rented a property with them in the beginning my experience with them was a little off until Amanda started helping me with my issues she was very friendly and patient with me I have moved and got my deposit back 😊
Ive been living under OK Red Door Management since Sep 2015. Any maintenance issue Ive had, they have been fixed in a timely manner. Love the location and rent is so affordable as well.
My family has lived in the Tropicana/calico corners for seven months. One example of how bad these apartments are is, four months after we moved in we noticed a leak. Told the head of maintenance, took pictures of the problem sent them to her and still had to go to the office. Only for her to tell me she didnt think it was a big priority to her. NOW our apartment flooded again, I called the emergency number which is also her cell phone she shut off her hone and does not answer the phone. This place is not just poorly managed but have a lot of other issues.
Very rude people. When asked the lady who identify who she was and who she was with, she said it was none of my business. Then preceded to Tell more what I can or better yet cant have on my porch. Then proceeds to threaten my family.Ive lived here 8 yrs. She works for a property management company she doesnt own the property.
Tenants, beware. Kept our entire deposit and tried to charge extra even though no actual damage was shown in the move-out report. They will nickel and dime you to make sure they keep the full deposit like charging $65 dollars to clean carpet THAT WE OURSELVES PAID TO HAVE INSTALLED BECAUSE THE CARPET WAS FILTHY AND STAINED WHEN WE MOVED IN. They hardly answer their phone and wont fix anything unless you beg them.
Doesnt even deserve one star. Sheila, the broker of the company gives you the run around and is unreachable. Rude staff. I lived at the Robinson Avenue apartments. The building received a citation from the city on breaking down of the building, foundation, chipped paint, rotting windows ect. To fix this they just painted the windows shut which created a fire hazard and refused to fix it. Then tried to tell us that they didnt receive a citation (even though it was taped to the door) and threatened to kick people out after complaining. Refused to fix maintenance problems, Dyer wouldnt work most of the time. My refrigerator stopped working and it took them 3 weeks to get me a new one (after I called multiple times to get it fixed). They even tried to guilt trip me by saying they would just take one out of one of my neighbors apartments so they could go without so I would be satisfied. I complained about a hole in my window that I wanted fixed and they never came to fix that (Illegal). A peeping tom came to my door and I felt unsafe and asked for a dead bolt lock and peep hole to be installed. They said no if I felt unsafe then call the police. Withheld deposit claiming dirty even though they sent pictures showing shiny and clean apartment. Withheld money for normal wear and tear (even stated in the lease that they couldnt do that) and claimed they lost documentation to upon move in problems so they could charge me for things they didnt fix prior to me moving in. Dont move in!! if you do, make copies and take videos and pics of EVERYTHING. They need to be shut down for the fire hazard and much more. Please dont put yourself through this. They are in the business to pocket money.
I couldnt give a negative 10 stars. Red Door bought our apartments and now it feels like a section 8. I get tired of slum lords. We average 1 apt per year to be caught on fire. Hoppis doesnt even fix those apartments. Trash cans are constantly over filled with trash. No one picks up the trash around the apartments. No one on sight till 1pm and they wont accept shipments.!? Really? This is my home but I cant order anything because you are not responsible enough to accept the package?! This place is worse off now then when the middle eastern owned it.
Oklahoma Red Door Management is a fantastic company! They have been managing our HOA for the past several months and our community looks immensely better than it did with the previous management company. Sheila and her team are extremely knowledgeable and produce solid results for our community! We are so fortunate to have found this company to help steer our HOA in the right direction.
Slumlords!! Also, i find it extremely comical that three of their 5 star reviews come from people who work there. Samantha james, Erin Swaim and Kourtney are in management. Pretty bad when you need your own employees to post reviews to boost your ratings.Edit: My review is not just because of the greediness of your company taking a portion of the security deposit, its because of the conditions you keep your properties. My many many emails to you, reflected that. My length of time at the property had absolutely nothing to do with your management, or lack thereof, i should say. It had to do with the convenience of the location in relation to my employer.Your turnover rate, and reviews, speak for themselves.
Cheated me out of most of my deposit via cleaning fees after I paid someone to go in and clean it professionally.
!!!BEWARE!!! Do NOT rent from these people! They are highly incompetent, rude, and unprofessional. Please believe the other 1-star reviewers and save yourself a headache. Look elsewhere. I lived in an 80+ year old 8-plex apartment for 4 1/2 years. My apartment was really close to work and nightlife so I put up their incompetence. The laundry facilities are a joke. Its a filthy basement with a washer and dryer that hardly work. The washer wouldnt drain completely so your clothes are soaking wet when the cycle is over (after paying $1.00), then you have to wring out all your soaking wet clothes, throw them in the dryer ($0.75), and hope that 1 cycle will dry them completely. Eventually, I ended up driving up to my parents house every Sunday to do laundry and save myself the hassle and money. The hall lights never consistently worked. The bulbs would burn out and they took forever to replace. There would be weeks where not a single bulb worked, and you had to use the flashlight on your phone to navigate the halls. The wall sconce by my door was missing and expose wire was just hanging out of the wall. It was like that since I moved in and it was actually fixed the week I was moving out. It took 4 1/2 years to fix, but hey, better late than never.I paid my rent with a check and I got a call from their office saying to make future checks out to someone else because of issues with the bank. I understood and told them if I needed to write another check to let me know. Instead, I got a notice that they would start the eviction process due to me not paying rent. It was a constant back and forth to resolve this. They admitted that they posted my check to a different account. I was left feeling very unappreciated, because I lived there for many years and NEVER paid late.I decided to move, so I sent my 30-day notice certified mail receipt. On March 1st, I went down to their office to return my keys. The lady at the desk is not friendly. I told her I wanted to turn in my keys and she held out her hand. I gave them to her and asked if I could get some sort of receipt or confirmation. She acted inconvenienced by this request and said do you just want me to write down on a piece of paper that you turned in your keys?. I told her yes, that is exactly what I wanted. So she pulled up my account and wrote down that I turned in my keys. Well, on March 6th I get a notice from OKRD saying that I owe March rent. I call and explain that I moved out and turned in my keys. The next day, I get another notice and a threat of eviction. I had to call yet again to explain that I moved out and did not owe rent. They finally fixed it.I spent 3 days cleaning. Filled all nail holes, wiped out all the cabinets and drawers, cleaned the bathtub and toilet, replaced the stove drip pans, mopped the floors, and cleaned the appliances. I truly left that place cleaner than when I received it and I only got $65 back from my security deposit. They charge vague fees such as cleaning, replacements, and walls/doors. They mailed the remainder of my security deposit to the apartment I moved out of. My 30-day notice had my new address on it. This just shows how incompetent they are. Luckily, I had a forward set up with the post office so it eventually got to me.Consider yourself warned. Avoid Oklahoma Red Door Management/Hoppis Real Estate.
Sheila Hoppis and her team at Red Door quickly found us new tenants when our previous property management company left our house vacant for over a month. Since then theyve been responsive arranging maintenance and when weve had questions about that maintenance.
I will never rent from this company again and i strongly advise anyone who is thinking about renting from them to think twice. I called to let them know i would have my money order in there after 6pm on the 6th to make sure i wouldnt get a late fee and they said ok thats fine i will note the account and they assured me i would be fine but i still got a late fee. When it comes to getting things done in your home they take forever or never get it done till you call a dozen times but when it comes to you owing them money damn there on top of it. This company is a big joke..
ORDM provides the best property management services ever! A second chance at life is what they gave me.
If I could give zero starts I would. There are so many people you have to call just to get matinance. I moved in May of 2017, in June of 2017 I started having problems with my a.c. Ive had to call it in three times, theyre just putting a bandaid over the problems. The landlord that lives here wont do anything. The office hours are a complete joke. So if you have a question about something, forget about it. The ac isnt my only problem. There were so many problems when I moved in that Id requested to be fixed that were never fixed. This company is a JOKE.
Consider this a public service announcement for the well being of others: Do NOT rent from these people. I moved to the area these apartments were in, because there are a lot of people my age (young professionals) in the area, thinking this would be a great refreshing experience. Oh well, you live and learn I guess, but Im telling you, youll have a better living experience under an overpass. When I moved in there was a huge hole in the ceiling from a leak the maintenance guy didnt clean up and ceiling debris everywhere. Whats worse is I had to replace all the air filters, as they were the plastic mesh air filters that were originally in the building from the 40s probably, because they were pitch black. The air quality was so horrible with cigarette smoke from a man across the hall who eventually died unfortunately. Someone also died in the apartment I lived in before I moved in, which I had to find out from someone else. Besides the creepy stuff though, I didnt get my full deposit back for things that were already wrong with the apartment when I moved in, such as light bulbs, which the on property employee never put in like she said she would when I moved in. And every time you ask her about work orders or something, her response is usually, OH, I pretty much just lease apartments, youll have to call the office. Everyone I talked to that lived there by me, said the same thing. Ive known a couple people that lived there at the same time I did, who had the same problems and even had to switch apartments. The laundry area is disgusting and the washer/dryer didnt work half the time. And god forbid you have a work order because they somehow have issues keeping up with the correct keys to the right apartments, and theyll say they cant get in your unit to fix anything because youve changed the locks. (Both comical and sad at the same time, like a Cohen brothers film.) In the winter you will get rude emails telling you if your pipes bust you will be responsible (even though it is the job of any property management company to insulate their building pipes.) I could go on and on and on, but the bottom line is this: dont rent from Hoppis Real Estate if you have standards or expect ethical treatment. They try to put on the persona that they are a professional, better-than-the-rest kind of company, but the truth is they are subpar and dont seem to care much about the well-being of their tenants. The girl who moved in across the hall from me had a plethora issues as well and said her mom was furious renting from them also. They just dont care about you. Period...and its a shame because the people living and working down in the particular area I lived in are all hardworking, newly graduated people just wanting a good place to live.
These must be the worst property you can live in, except for the place that the hot water heater exploded. They need to hire decent maintenance staff and let them do their jobs.
My husband and I found a house that we really liked that was thru Oklahoma Red Door. Tammra was the woman whom showed us our house and I have to say the second I met her I felt like I had know. Her for years. She was not pushy at all she answered every question we had and was very knowledgeable about the property. Going thru the lease process has been a struggle but any questions that I had I was still able to call Tammra and she either had the answer or was able to find it out for us. We love our house and can’t wait to move in. Thanks Tammra!
This is the worst place to rent from they half ass all thier work my wife is pregent and has a two yr old has had a leak from day one which is causing mold she still has a hole in her ceiling with a peice of plastic over it full of brwn water the electric bill hasnt been under 200 since she moved in and water just as high because tgey dont fix stuff the right way do not rent from them they are crooks
Perspective tenants: read previous reviews from tenants. They WILL keep your entire deposit, and may attempt to charge you extra by adding miscellaneous items like cleaning door handles and for doors that do not fit properly because they themselves installed them incorrectly (they installed a door upside down at our property and then attempted to charge us for it). They never fix anything unless you call them incessantly. Worst landlords Ive ever had, by far. Rent somewhere else.
Red Door was extremely professional. I cant recommend this business and its employees enough. Especially Sheila and Erin.
We use them for our rent home and enjoy them! 24 hour maintenance of needed and comfortable homes!
I have been renting from ORDM for about 3 years now and have been nothing but pleased with their services. They always are extremely friendly and take care of maintenance issues as quickly as they can.
I havent had any problems. Pretty good place to live. Management could be around more.
I was able to see a place and literally, 2 days later moved in. When I had ants, the literal next day, they had someone out to help. I thinj this is a good mgmt to be with for an apartment!!
Management is easy to reach and they are prompt about taking care of whatever it is you may need.
Ive rented from this comp for going on 4 years, my maintenance issues are always taken care of and the office and maintenance staff are nothing but kind and professional. Great company to lease from.
My AC had been broke. For over 4 months now. We had black mold, and all they did was paint over it. The lock to our back door is completely missing including the job. They have tried eviction many times. But have never actually fixed anything. The tenants down stairs have ply wood over their broken window. I called about the A.C. and door almost 6 days ago. And have called at least 10 times about the air. I have a two year old son who can only be in the house after 7 or 8. Cause it finally drops to 77-9°. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They dont follow the Tenants renters act at all. Their swindlers and crooks
Great property management company. They address maintenance issues in a timley manner, have a professional office and maintenance staff and are always very helpful.
Katie is great and the maintenance manager was lovely and helpful. The receptionist, Courtney was rude and condescending.
Horrible experience, The apartment I moved in was bed bug and roach infested I threw away 2 beds I barely had 7 months. I moved out in October of 2018 broke my lease and all after they sent me an eviction notice. They go into your home without any notice they absolutely have no respect for privacy!!! Beware you guys of Canterbury Apartments !!! If I could give 0 stars I would. And for the record my brothers live in California nobody lives with me but MY KID so get your facts straight before you come for me!!!
I have lived in a Red Door property for 2 years with no issues. Everyone Ive came across had been professional and helpful.
Fix things on time and care about your needs. Never had any problems with them.
I saw one of their rental houses and it was so disgusting and not well maintained. My friend living there has so many problems and they have seriously ruined their lives. Please avoid their rental properties.
Theyll take your money and leave you homeless. Unwilling to even speak to me. Do not use this company
Great company with outstanding management team!!
Great company, very nice people!
Love this place and how they helped me
We are being kicked out because they dont want to fix anything. We have sent in to many work orders to count. Now we are being forced to move with very little explanation. Do not rent from these people
To bad I cant give no stars. My a/c is broke and they refuse to fix it because it cost so much. I pay almost a 1000 a month so me and my family can sit in an 80 degree house. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!
