We moved in a few weeks ago and have had such a good experience with the management team at this property. The Assistant Manager, Destinie, made sure that every detail leading up to our move-in day was finalized before we got there which made the transition into our new home very smooth and less stressful! The maintenance staff is also very friendly and resolves issues in a timely manner.
The property manager Destine helped make the move in for roommate and I not so stressful.
I just wanted to say that Im currently living at Ashford Walnut Creek apartments and so far this has been one of my favorite places to thus far. The apartments are nice of course however its the staff at this particular location, especially Jennifer.Since the day I met her and was looking for a place to stay she has been on top of everything and goes above and beyond to help not just me, but everyone that walks in who Ive seen her deal with. Simply put... She a wonderful person and down right awesome!
Unbelievably greedy and unhelpful. If you want to live here you better make really good money and have 0 problems parting ways with it.I have a vehicle that I’m fixing up and have current insurance on.I was given a 24 hour notice to remove my vehicle or it would be towed. I’ve paid rent here for almost two years... no parking pass, no explanation, just a 24 hour notice to vacate.Late fees for 1-3 day are upwards of 500.Had verifiable proof of TIMELY payment and was still charged a100$ fee and told to “deal with it”Wish I could go back and choose another place. Feel trapped and unwelcome at the same time and wouldn’t wish this living situation on anyone.....
Dwaine is the go to guy for light bulbs, no problems at this place
Currently a resident. They are slowly getting the place nice.
Apartments leak air. My electric bill for a 504 sq ft apartment was twice the amount compared to my 1100 as ft apartment before. They said my apt was renovated. The kitchen was renovated but the rest was just like when it was built in 1983. You have to salt and clear your own stairs and side walks when it snows or ices. By the time you pay for bad construction and poor insulation, you should go to a newer apartment and pay more for rent and save money.
Contacted and visited the property in November. I found an available unit and applied for it through their website the first week of December. I was emailed and notified of my “approval” about 10 days later and told I could send in my deposit and sign a lease. I was very happy but hoping to tour or at least view the unit in some sort before I signed. The agent I was speaking with named Shelby was polite and asked if February was still my expected move in date, I said yes and we confirmed all the details.*Fast forward to Jan 4. I reach out to make sure everything is good before my move in which is now one month away and Shelby responds that her manager adjusted the unit because the current tenants have cancelled their notice to vacate? Excuse me? Why did I have to email you, for you to tell me that I no longer have an apartment?? When was I going to be notified of this? How unprofessional is that? So I’ve paid for my application and fees and waited for a fake approval for an apartment that no one is going to moving out of. I’ve emailed and called them twice since January 4th with no response what so ever.I just find it disappointing overall. I don’t understand the point of putting a notice to vacate in November if you can cancel it. Especially while another person is completely in the process of renting that exact unit.
Good luck ever getting anything fixed. Good luck ever getting a hold of anyone. These folks are absent. Things like sinks and hvac may be broken for days or weeks before anyone comes -if they come at all. Even when a squirrel has entered your apartment from the fireplace -can’t get anyone from facility to help. Save your money and live somewhere else !
I moved into AWC two and a half years ago and have since moved out. At the time I would have given AWC a 5-star rating as I really thought this was a great place to live and had no major complaints. It was quiet/clean, the rent was reasonable, and Shawna (property manager at the time) would respond quickly to any issues that tenants might have. My apartment was recently renovated so it was very clean and modern. I even remember AWC having a 4.3 review rating on Google when I was looking for an apartment back in the day which made me interested in it in the first place. Oh how the times changed.Today I am giving AWC 3 stars as the situation had really changed especially in the last few months of my stay there. For one, I couldn’t walk to my car without having to walk past candy wrappers, pizza boxes, fast food bags, and other things in the parking lot or walkway next to my building on an almost daily basis. The rail on my patio actually started falling apart as it was probably built decades ago, but after weeks had yet to get replaced (see picture below). None of this was an issue when I first moved in.Then there was the sometimes very slow or absolute complete lack of response from management with issues raised. Emails and phone calls may go completely unanswered, the only option you will probably have is to go talk to the property manager in person. Maintenance requests can also take days or sometimes weeks to get resolved. I once waited over a week (after submitting a maintenance request) to get my AC working again while my apartment sat at 87 degrees. To be fair though the current property manager Jennifer and building staff seem like nice people and likely have a lot on their plate, but it’s very frustrating as a tenant to try and deal with these problems only to be ignored. The new thing towards the end of my lease, and probably the last straw for me was the noise. The building I lived in used to be very quiet, but if you move into it now and want some peace and quiet after a long day at work, too bad. You’ll have to listen to the people next door play their loud music with the subwoofer all the way up for hours on end almost every day. The paper thin walls don’t help and frankly it’s like living next to a nightclub at times.I realize that some of the above complaints are not directly management’s fault, but there seems to be little or no effort on their part to hold anyone accountable (for the trash especially). Thank God my lease was almost up when these issues became a dealbreaker, I just never thought when I moved in that I would someday leave AWC on such a bad note.
Shelby is amazing. She is very friendly even when she is busy. I applied a few days ago and she has made the progress up to now very smooth. I look forward to living here soon.
My experience with the personnel has been fabulous. Brandon as well as Latoia have been very attentive to my needs. I’ve seen multiple units and each are clean and the landscaping is very nice. I’m very picky about cleanliness and the management seems to be picky about it too!Thank you for all your assistance while braving the heat!
They owe me for prorated rent, $200+, from my move out over 60 days ago. Wont return calls or emails.I moved from one Radco property to another after I had a mostly positive experience. When I secured an apartment at the new property (Ashford Northwest) I was told I would have to pay higher rent for holding the property but then when it was move in day, after calling for two weeks to view the apartment, I was told that the apartment was still not ready and I would have to be moved to a different, more expensive, apartment. Then I had no properly running hot water for the first three weeks. At the previous property (Walnut Creek) I was told I would have to pay the full months rent and a prorated check would come back to me, even though they had inspected the apartment before I moved out. It has been sixty days since my move out and I have never been able to speak with the manager. Th office person consistently says that she cant do anything. Ive tried the managers at the new property. The manager will not return my calls or emails. Ive been told multiple times that the check was mailed out, but she cant verify my address- so I dont really believe that. Now Ive found out that the properties were sold, so I dont know how Im supposed to be reimbursed. Everything about this move was terrible. And between this two hundred + dollars and the extra monthly rent they screwed me out of by switching my apartment at the last moment they are costing me nearly a thousand dollars when the only reason I moved was to save money. The office people have always been nice, but nice does not make up for costing people money. I deeply regret staying with Radco.
Ive been trying to get ahold of somebody here for a month now... nobody returns calls... nobody returns emails... nobody is ever there when I go by. I guess all their apartments must be full because I think they could care less if they get any renters at all?
Great staff. Beautiful smiles 😊
I love living in these apartments. It is quite community even being off 2 busy streets. You are close to shopping and food. The most things that I love is my apartment manager Shawna is amazing and friendly. She is always on top of everything. Daniel the maintenance man just as amazing he does a great job and always on top of things. If you want to live in a place the property team is here for you this is the place. I think of Shawna and Daniel as family.
I have lived here over a year (on my second lease term) and this apartment has been the best by far. The two bedroom layout has been the only one that i can find that has worked great for my family. We have had our share of maintenance issues but what place doesnt? the guys have always completed things in a timely manner and have been very thorough. Shanwa is very friendly and is always making sure her residents are happy.
Its a safe area and very quiet apartment complex. I highly recommend. The pricing is affordable and the apartments are actually cute and clean. Great Manager Shawna and Maintenance. Always friendly and welcoming.
I have lived here for a bout a month now I am loving it! It’s nice and affordable! I haven’t had any major issues, thank god! Shawna is very caring and thoughtful a week after we moved in I got an email of her asking if everything was still great and it was but it was nice that she goes out of her way to make her residents feel at home!! It is a smaller company and that means not as many maintenance guys and that’s 100% understandable but they will get the job done as soon as they can ! The maintenance guy is also great he gets the job done, he is thorough when completing a work ticket, and also very nice! Neighbors are also nice and quiet :) another thing I wanted to say is I never have an issue with parking ever and it’s not crowded which is another thing I love about living here!
Not a good place to live. My year lease is ending and while I lived here I didnt have air conditioning for 6 months because they said it needs to get to a certain temperature outside before they can fix an AC whenever it was over 80° inside the apartment. Then had electric go out and they have not fixed that which is going on day 4 so. If you want to pay around 700 a month to live somewhere with no air conditioning and no electric then this is a good place for you. But if you would enjoy basic amenities like cool air in the summer then definitely dont sign a lease with this complex.
They said, Ill squash you like a ton of bricks.Staff, residents (old, new, and friends of both staff old and new) use harassing fire on people. They have all sorts of crime in the complex from petty to white collar, as well as fear using night runners along with many other issues. Deplorable, despicable staff, old residents, and their friends. As they have said, This is your last warning about moving into this place. This is a clear, transparent description of what it is like to live in this complex. Look at the property, listen to the undertones and do not ignore anything about the property, the staff (all staff) and what they do and permit - It is very important that any future resident is aware of what happens here and that they try to hush it all up.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! The apartment itself is nice, but the paper thin walls, plus the trash people that management has let in have made living here unbearable. I am currently listening to the entire Billie Eilish album courtesy of the guy living in the apartment behind me, while the guy upstairs dribbles a basketball, and the woman next door screams at her kid and the kid screams back. Its not even 6am. All of the decent human beings are moving out for good reason and we will be leaving as soon as the lease runs out. I would NOT suggest anyone live here.
Super cute apartment complex. Newly renovated. Love the townhome feel! Great pool and patio!
You should move here! Seriously the best apartment I have had, and I have lived all over the place. Its quiet and pretty and the office staff is really nice. I LOVE the maintenance guy Dustin. He knows what hes doing and he will go out of his way to fix whatever you need. I have a sunroom! Ive never had that before and I love it, especially in the winter.
Paid my rent on the second and what happens?? I get a 5 day eviction notice on my door, as well as hundreds of dollars worth of ridiculous charges! Do no move here! Not worth it! The square footage is pathetic for what you pay per month in rent. I cant wait to leave in April.
“Show times are from 9a-530p” however you cannot view between these hours, they give you two times that day and if you cannot be available then tough luck. Also they cannot answer the phones and any communication is thru text service that only sends vague answers. What a joke.
Definitely the best place to rent. Staff is nothing but friendly and willing to work with you.
