I went to Paul Mitchell’s beauty school to fix my grown out hair and Skye was amazing, she gave me the blonde color I’ve always dreamed of and gave me all the care tips on upkeep and products she recommends. I will definitely come back for other services. My bill was under $100 and it was amazing, if you’re considering setting up an appointment I say go for it!

I have had a few good experiences at this school and I have had a handful of bad. The last two times I went there have been a joke. Both times I got there and waited close to 30 minutes for my stylist. Why? Because the girl that was supposed to do my hair either no showed or was late. Last time I went there were 3 girls in total that worked on my hair. The wait times were terrible, it was chaotic, and because of I I didnt know who to tip and the result wasnt what I wanted. This time I went a new girl styled me. It took over FOUR HOURS for a color and cut. It was insane. There was a teacher/advisor there and she helped to pick the correct color and do my layers. My layers turned out choppy and just look terrible. The worst part is after the color was washed out I was not happy. It looked green. They knew it too because they told me to come back if I didnt like it. (I had to go without a style because it was close time!!!) I Got home and on closer inspection my roots are orange red, and my length is grey green brown. Ive only heard people asking me what happened to it the last few days. Its really bad. I paid 50 for this. I have tried to call twice and have not been helped. Im not happy at all. Im very upset.

If I could give 0 out of 5 stars I would! Please if you are looking to change your hair color, DO NOT GO to this place!!! The students there definitely do not know how to do hair professionally and the teachers arent very helpful either. Take it from me. I went in with the intent to get highlights but instead Maddie the student put in place to work on my hair, bleached the bottom half of my hair. When she showed me the process I was in total shock, there was no dimension, no highlights, just half of my hair an ugly yellow bleached color as if I dipped my hair into a bowl of bleach and left a line separating my dark hair from my bleached blonde hair.The supervisor/teacher overlooking all the students at that time came over her name is Tori, it was clear that Maddie ruined my hair and for a second she was speechless. I showed Tori the picture and explained what my I wanted in my hair. She didnt understand the strategy Maddie took and tried to talk to her. I saw Maddie getting upset and she would not say word. At that moment I just wanted to leave but Tori assured me that if I stayed, she would assist Maddie and they would do a balayage on my hair and it would look just like the picture. I accepted with hopes that with a teacher my hair would be fixed. That was the second worst thing that happened that day, Tori did not stay and help Maddie with the whole process and by the end after drying my hair, it looked worse. As you can see in the picture I attached that was what Maddie showed me as the final product. I could not have gotten up faster and exited that place. My hair felt like hay, dry and brittle, because of so much bleach and who knows what other chemicals they just kept on adding. I left completely, disappointed and cheated. Couldnt believe that my hair could by ruined that bad. The worst part is that I have tried to talk to Maddie and Tori by contacting the school several time over the past couple of days but to not avail. Im leaving this review because there is no other way to show how unprofessional and ridiculous the service at The Paul Mitchel School in Ogden has.I learned a lesson and had my hair repaired with a professional with years of training. Your hair is not something to mess around with and I dont recommend taking the risk with this school.

This school is amazing in a students eye. The STAFF is always there for you. They are always super quick to respond, and make sure they are doing their job. I always felt that I could be open to get all the help I needed. I am going to a new school and it’s been a month and a half and I still am waiting to attend that school, just showing how slow other schools are to get people to attend.I miss this school dearly the students were so kind as well. This place is hard to beat comparing cosmo schools side by side.

I absolutely love this school!!!! They are young with fresh innovative ideas and they actually listen to their clients!! Ive spent upwards of $450 going to fancy upscale places but havent been as happy with the service. I absolutely recommend Paul Mitchells school!!!

I really wanted to like my experience here but that is the exact opposite of what happened. I went in to get a color and the back of my hair trimmed. I went in with a dark brown with red undertones. I didnt want the red and asked for a solid dark brown. I was told what color to go with and told it would take out the red. Needless to say, I left there with more red in my hair than when I went in. If that was the worst part, I would just shake it off and go somewhere else to get it dyed right. While trimming the back of my hair, the stylist asked if she could thin my hair out for me. In the back of my mind I said no but I thought I would give her the benefit of the doubt. She dried it and styled it and sent me on my way. When I got home and tried to style it myself, I was horrified to see that her thinning was just cutting random chunks of hair from different sections of my hair. I previously had short spiky hair and have been growing it out for over the last year. It was just to below my ear. Now I literally have chunks of hair that arent even a half an inch sticking out on both sides. I literally have to slick them down to try to hide them. It just makes me sick.I realize that I went to a school so I cant expect a lot, but I figured where it was supervised that it could never go this wrong. Given the chance again, I would gladly pay triple what I paid here.

Just got a hair haircut and dyed my hair. I absolutely love the new haircut, do expect it to take a while since they are students. Would not change anything I love it, pretty good price especially since they have lots of Groupon deals all the time🥰

I love this place so much! The lady thats done my hair has been so nice. It was a while ago that Ive had my hair done there but I even remember the ladys name and Ive always been so happy with the results. I believe the last time I went in for an appointment was I think later in 2015, and I got a relaxer. But her name was Hope, and she was the nicest, really good at hair and even her own hair was beautiful and she claimed to have done it her own. I recommend this place.

I am leaving a review about the Ultimate Face Makeup Academy makeup class that I took at Paul Mitchell, and I just want to say that I loved it!! Emily did such an amazing job at teaching the material and building up my confidence as a makeup artist. I learned so much about makeup application, mixing custom colors, and about all types of jobs I can get as a makeup artist. If you’re interested in makeup and getting certified I highly recommend taking the makeup course at Paul Mitchell.

Karissa did an amazing job with my hair. Right away after she dried it, and seen that it wasnt quite the color I wanted, she told the teacher that she needed to schedule me in to get it done again @ no charge, so she can get it to the color I want. I didnt even have to say anything. She knows when something isnt right and was quick to getting it fixed. I dont hate the color it turned out, just not what I was hoping for. I understand that this is a school. As I walked in I was greeted so warmly and it seems super professional. Unfortunately thats where it ended.I was picked up an hour later then my appointment. There was supposed to be two girls working together on my hair. One sat there and did nothing but distract the girl who actually did the work. I was pretty chill with that until it took 4 hours to apply hair dye. Ive been doing my hair for years. Every cosmetologist i have been to would start up my roots and then get that all done and then go to my ends.The girl that worked on me started at the middle of my hair and then went to my ends then went to my roots. Now my hair is beautiful on the ends but my roots still are light and grey is showing. (Which is why i went there)The most frustrating thing is the teachers seem to not be observant and catching small things like that. Multiple times it took the girl 5 to 10 minutes to find her teacher to get help. Its was so chaotic the whole time. From not being able to find product and tools too, not even having the teacher present, and the student more worried about her social life then her schooling.Saldy this has left a sour taste in my mouth about the standers this school has. I was thinking about getting my cosmetology license here. But they are not up to my standers.On a positive note i found a groupon that made this event only cost me $31. Sadly that was the highlight of my night and the greeting team was amazing.

Well when you get better service from students than you do from professional stylist that says something about the quality of attention and detail that Paul Mitchell School for hair in Ogden Utah puts in to their services. The quality of customer service is better than anywhere I have been. Melissa, student number 91, has great skills. Did my highlights and cute and everything came out wonderful. Very personable and focused. Joe also gives great attention to detail and making sure that the students have everything they need and that everything is done to their standards as well as the customer.

Ive had my hair cut by Nic twice now and Ive been thoroughly satisfied both times. Im pretty picky about my hair, so I really appreciate his attention to detail. He does a fantastic job communicating what hes doing and asking me exactly what I would like. 5/5 would get my hair cut again.

I have had varied experiences here. Some have been good, & a good value, but even those have taken 3 or more hours, even just for a cut & color. Last night my daughter nearly had her hair burned off during a full highlights treatment. Today her hair is breaking off, piece by piece. Definitely taking a risk to save money & support student learning.

I will say I love the way my hair turned out, but HOLY COW! It took them 5 and half hours. I was there until 11pm. This is my second time going here. The first time I went it took the girl 5 hours and I finally had to leave without getting my hair styles because I would have been there for another hour and a half. The girl who did my hair this time was super nice, but did everything slowly. The people who answer the phone there are super rude and need to get an attitude adjustment. I would suggest to save the money and go to a salon that will do your hair in half that time. Even Taylor Andrews (another hair school) is much quicker. They died my hair completely blonde from brown with no damage to it in 3 hours.

I had my hair cut by Kristen, (#49), and it was the absolute best haircut Ive ever had! She was so patient and kind and did EXACTLY what I wanted and asked for. She was constantly making sure I was comfortable. My husband also got a complimentary scalp treatment and he said it was orgasmic. I highly recommend stopping in and seeing Kristen!

I went to the Paul Mitchel School in Ogden for a wash and style. The facility was very clean and professional looking. My stylist (whose name I unfortunately cannot remember) was very professional and did a wonderful job styling my hair. Every staff member I met was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and pleased with the results!

Spencer Davis is the man!! Hooked me up with a NICE bald fade with a hard part lookin solid. Definitely a fan of this place and of him.

Best price and experience one of the best hair cuts I have gotten the products they use are amazing staff charming and kind. Very insightful of ideas for a hairstyle. I didnt exactly know what I wanted and they just look and gave me my options and ran with it. They kept my length and styled it!!!So many times I have asked for a treeming and they cut was away to much. But Trista way spot on I love love love the price the staff and my awesome haircut.

I have had my hair done many times at Paul Mitchell the School Ogden and found it to be a great experience each time. The staff is friendly and the students seem motivated and eager to please. It is a lovely facility and I look love to go there. Ogden is lucky to have such a nice school in the area!

My experience here was an absolute disaster! Do not go here at all costs. The hair stylist was extremely rude and had an attitude. She looked as if she hated her job and didnt want to be here at all. I had simple questions about my hair, and she got upset and left? I was there for maybe 5 minutes. Never have I had an experience like this before and NEVER should people be treated this way in a hair salon. Absolutely absurd. A manager Jessie didnt try and help at all, but asked me to leave because she was having personal problems? I understand that but dont understand asking me to leave. Horrible service and awful business.

Very disappointing experience. Had to give one star so I could post my review.My daughter went to Paul Mitchell the School in Ogden for a Mani-Pedi on Thursday. Cost was $30. She wanted to support the school this time.I, as a mom think that $30 for a Mani-Pedi is too much for a school to charge. I feel it should be less than what I would pay at a salon. Since these are students who take a little longer to do the work, and also need their work to be approved by an instructor.She was appalled that the polish used was Dollar Tree nail polish!She has used Dollar Tree in the past & only spent $4 on false nails, 2 colors of her choice, with super glue, and had better results than whats on her nails right now.Here it is Saturday and the polish is already chipping off.Very disappointing experience.

Too bad, I was given a free haircut after a couple instructors came to lunch at the restaurant I work at. They were so friendly and welcoming, I strayed from my usual hair girl to come to the school. Made an appointment for this afternoon and ended up with a really awesome student. I told her I had just washed my hair and let it air dry, since I had to be to work shortly after the appointment. She said they could just spray it down, no big deal. I showed her pictures of the cut I had in mind and she started pulling my hair up, saying that we just had to wait for the instructor to come over and check before we started. When Anna Michelle finally came over(20 minutes later!) she looked at my hair, looked at the pictures and asked if I was sure I wanted bangs, because I would have to style them daily. Why would she even ask that, I had already said I used to have bangs, that I knew the shape I wanted already. I must just look like someone who doesn’t do her hair . Anyways she said to go ahead with the shampoo, which is when my girl said that I had just washed it, it was still damp, and the instructor said they absolutely couldn’t do it. That the bangs would never look right even with it being freshly washed and even if the stylist sprayed it down to saturation. That they could trim the bottom then I would need to come back for the bangs. At this point I’ve been in the chair for over a half an hour, plus I was early to the 2:30 appointment. I was promised a cut would take an hour when I made the appointment, and I’m only able to stay until 3:30 at the latest and it’s 3:00 now. So I decide to cancel my appointment. She (the instructor) wasn’t sorry,and didn’t accommodate at all. It felt very much like she looked down on me...it’s too bad that’s the way the appointment went after how great the first couple ladies I met were, and how interested I was not only in the appointment today but also in the school for a new career.

I went to Paul Mitchell 01/04/14 it was amazing, a young lady named Dayna #25 done my hair, she is in phase 1 but done a wonderful job, she cut and colored my hair and I had many compliments today at church, I am glad I re-booked an appointment with her! you should try her and they were very nice at the school! Loved the environment!

Getting a scalp treatment right now from Morgan M (#65). Yeah, the wash house was super nice with anther scalp massage. This is such a good deal. Morgis super nice and knowledgeable on the product shes using in my hair. When I first scheduled my appointment, I wasnt entirely sure what to expect.The place is clean and everyone is really friendly. Kendra did a fantastic job cutting my hair. The whole time she was cutting, she was making sure I was happy with the result. Her instructor was present the entire time, checking and double checking Kendras work.I only paid $10 for the cut and style. It took about an hour, but Im incredibly happy with the result. I look forward to additional appointments!

Granny did an awesome job on my hair. I am super picky and usually would never go to a hair school only because I like experienced hairdressers. But I honestly was shocked with how well she did. Exactly what I wanted thank you!!
