I love Mona and the Bliss community!! The full body workouts are fun with great music and lots of variety. Mona has deep anatomy knowledge and provides modifications for any fitness level. Her energy and levity make it a wonderful experience every time. Im getting great results while enjoying myself. I am happy and proud to support a small, woman-owned studio versus a chain, run-of-the-mill gym.Mona also gives amazing massage. She is intuitive, strong, gentle and talented in providing a relaxing environment to allow your stress to melt away. She will customize the experience to meet what you need that day - be it working out the muscle knots or just some relaxing touch. Bliss is truly an appropriate name for this studio, both in the workouts offered as well as the massage.
Bliss Fitness is a beautiful, clean, and welcoming gym in Oakland, CA for all fitness levels. Ive recently started up again with TRX class, which is an incredible full body workout without it feeling too strenuous -- I can appreciate that! If you want to ease back into it, try the new stretching class or yoga with Shanti. Ive enjoyed a great boost in my energy after taking just one class.I am hooked! Working out is seriously FUN at Bliss Fitness! Also, the owner Mona knows body movement well (also is a massage therapist and personal trainer) and Ive recently learned she gives a great foam rolling class!
This is my favorite studio in Oakland/East Bay. Its absolutely stunning, has great energy and always tidy/clean. I love dancing in here and it always lifts my spirits! Plus the teachers and classes are amazing! Love Bliss!
Been going to this gym for years and I love the classes, the space and the friends I have made there. What has been really inspiring is Monas commitment to providing virtual classes during shelter in place. No equipment needed and a great workout! Thanks to Mona and all the teachers at Bliss Fit.
Got the 12 pack of personal training sessions with Mona. She was great. Wanted to improve my core and upper body strength and overall fitness.Great sessions, worked within my limitations and to achieve goals. In 12 sessions I double my plank time and increased my over all strength.Great way to jump start myself into a regular fitness routine. Will return for group classes.
I love Bliss. The fitness classes are great but I stay for the community. Everyone is really down to Earth and the teachers really have us get to know each other. I go as much for the workout as the social time!
Bliss is the best fitness studio in Oakland — all the instructors are super encouraging and motivating, and the owner has created a truly inclusive and beautiful space where everyone feels good and tries their hardest. I love Bliss! Always such a good and engaging workout. I leave sore but happy every time!
This is an excellent gym. Their Core Galore class truly engages the core without being hyper ab focused. Love the fluidity of movement and Shanti’s teaching style is supportive and integral.
I love coming to Bliss! I always feel welcome and I get a great workout. It feels wonderful to sweat and work on strength training and cardio in a fun environment!
I just went to rebel recess with Mona and it was really fun. She made everything light-hearted, fun, and I like her music. Ill definitely be back!
This was my first time taking a TRX class at Bliss. The instructors and staff were very friendly and welcoming! They provided positive coaching and feedback through the session. It was a good workout! I plan to go back for more!
This is the most beautiful studio Ive ever worked out in. And the instructors are so fun and knowledgeable. Ive been getting personal training from Mona Meline and she is the best trainer Ive had, and Ive had several over the years. She creates workouts for me based on my need for variety. She makes sure Im really warmed up beforehand and stretched out after my workout. She also provides me with a lavender scented cold cloth that is heaven on my hot sweaty face and neck. My strength, endurance, balance, and range of motion have significantly improved since we started training. Ive also been benefiting from a monthly massage at Bliss with a therapist who is able to offer feedback to my trainer about the subtle aspects of my body and what areas need more attention, or how I might be favoring one side over another. Its like I have a team behind me. I just cant say enough about this place.
The space is gorgeous, and the owner of the studio is top notch — vibrant and kind — a true gem of a human. The class Pilatease was unique and fun. Highly recommend Bliss!

Ive been working out at Bliss Fitness for the past few month and this place is amazing. Great people, beautiful space, and fun workouts. I have had no trouble finding parking nearby. Its also conveniently located above a coffee shop which makes a post workout coffee or snack super easy.So far, I am a huge fan of the Saturday Rebel Recess and Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes. Rebel Recess incorporates games with a challenging circuit, and the Vinyasa Flow Yoga is both relaxing and technically challenging. The instructors for ewch class (Mona and Vanessa respectively) are engaging and very welcoming.The gym tends to be on the cold side, so I recommend you bring a flexible layer until you get warm. Bliss is a bright and beautiful space, filled with a fun and supportive community of people trying to get/be/stay fit. Its obvious that Mona (the owner) has put a lot of love, thought, and attention into selecting the types of classes and instructors. Current, my favorite classes are;- Shantis challenging, yet calming yoga class.- Jordanas TRX class that always kicks my butt, but its too hard to stop with the great music selection that keeps me going.
