I was in need of a new nail home and I found one here. Mr Tony was very informative with any questions I had and my nail tech, Ms Cola is fabulous. I love my new home. The environment is quiet, clean and has good air quality. There is a practice of taking temps upon entry as well as mask mandate enforcement.

I love the atmosphere of this place the ladies are always welcoming and professional and your nails are always on point!

Immediately upon walking in for the first time the atmosphere was so cozy. I came a little early for my appointment and it was no problem to be serviced right away. I got a jelly pedicure that was soo pleasant, Im still rubbing my feet together to feel the softness. Cant wait to go back!

Honestly, I’ve gotten my nails done here and everyone was nice but i think they pick and chose who gets what clients. Like, any new clients goes to the new staff who is still learning how to do nails because who sits in a nail salon from 5 hrs sun up to down is ridiculous. Also, if the nail tech ask what type of nails do you prefer ( to which i asked for long nails for my birthday) you file them down so low that i still have to pay for long nails, then when it came to design i ask the tech can she freestyle on my nails do something unique but just so the bare minimum for the prices that was quoted. They gonna make sure they get they correct money. That will the last and only time I will ever come to this shop.

They atmosphere and people were nice but the shape of my nails were horrible and it took the tech 6 hours for a pedi and full set. Like I had other things to do. No one mentions the time frame

I came in this nail salon with natural long, strong, and healthy nails for a no chip manicure and regular pedicure. My pedicure was done well and I have no issues with it . My nails were done horribly and are extremely damaged today. 10 minutes after I left the crystals I paid extra for started to come off . My nails were cut with a cuticle nipper instead of finger nail clipper initially, so they were cut too short . They were filed incorrectly with sharp edges which made it hard and uncomfortable for me to do anything. I filed the edges myself and called the nail shop the next morning. I explained to Mo the situation and told her the nail tech had great customer service so I wanted to keep the future appointment I booked if I received a discount and a more experienced nail tech . She asked me to come in that day which I declined because my nails were damaged and unfixable and they needed to grow before another visit. Mo said she would call me back and never did . Today every nail is broken on both edges down to the cuticle, thin, and brittle. All the crystals came off the 2nd day and the edges started to break. Again my nails were natural, healthy and strong before my initial appointment. I wont be returning to this salon again.

I was a walk in and was seated immediately. The nail tech started on my nails at 1:15p.m., at 3:40p.m. I had to stop the nail tech because of how long it was taking and my fingers were in too much pain due to use of the nail file continuously scraping my skin. All of the nail technicians were so kind, but the salon assistant (I assume assistant, she was the first point of contact and handled payment) is bad business for this establishment. She had an attitude and was rude to the techs. I was offered water, my nail tech asked the assistant to hand her one, assistant yells out you gon have to wait, Im busy!..10min later she finally brings water and made a bigger issue than needed over a 6oz bottle of water. Wasnt thrilled to pay $52, walk out with unfinished nails and now have to pay to have another salon finish them. As for the nail tech, I believe she may be new in the field and I appreciate her persistence and patience trying to work on my nails.

I was not going to write a negative review but never go back. I am not here to bash Black Owned Business but the truth is truth. The customer service was good. Everyone was nice. However, I think my nail tech was new. After having some patience, I realized that my nails were going to look terrible and just decided not to waste money on crystals. I arrived at 1:30pm for a 2pm appointment and did not leave until 5pm. Yet, my nails looked terrible. The acrylic was not dry because when I got in my car, the entire nail fell off. The No Chip polish came off an entire hand before I made it home. I try to support black owned business but I dont like wasting my hard earned money. I wont return ever!!!

SLOW!!!!! My tech was new and I appreciate the great care she took to protect my natural nail but she has to work on speed and multitasking. Instead of starting my left hand while I soaked off 2 nails on my right hand she just made me sit there soaking 2 nails for over an hour. I even asked her if she could start cutting the nails down or taking the polish off but she said she was do it all together.

Alright so I got my nails done for my birthday I walked in and everything was nice and good but the person who were to do my nails wasn’t there yet.So I was like no big deal and waited because I thought it would be worth it.Her customer service was great but however when I was getting my nails done she was struggling with shaping it correctly this was my first time going there and maybe my last.My nails came out horrible the shape wasn’t done correctly they were uneven, the polish on my nails on the side wasn’t looking to good I paid $52 for a full set I can tell she was a beginner I think that if the person is a beginner the price should be different than a professional one.I try to support black business but 🤷🏾‍♀️

Overpriced I literally payed 125 for someone to practice on my nails if you pay 125 you should be able to get full nails of bling done she was skimpy with the stone putting them on half the nails I knew when she started she didn’t know how to do nails her just putting the acrylic (struggle job)on properly was a struggle the acrylic wasn’t even on the whole nail I had to get glitter to cover up the nail imperfections then she kept cutting me with the drill lukewarmI at best just got them done Two days later nails popping off the same day the stones were coming off Iam out of town an have to pay to get them done again# NEVER AGAIn

Horrible outcome ! i was there from 230 to 730 pm and i didnt get what i want i got basix nails i could have done at home ! i have scratches in my nails and no design and they didnt want to do my nails the shape i wanted they keep saying it should be curved and not flat ! one nail tech was screaming loud and eatinf pizza while doing nails ! you dont go against what a customer wants and tell me they have to be curved ! horrible plce dont go if i could guve 0 i would ! 5 hours for this really

This black owned nail salon has great service and decent prices. They are appointment only so youll want to book a least 10 days in advance to guarantee a shot. The decor is a bit worn, but the place is clean and the staff is pleasant.

This was my first time there since the pandemic and it was still a very enjoyable experience. I miss the 🍷 but with everything going on I totally understand 😁. They took everyones temperature as you arrived and the shop was clean as usual which set my mind at ease. With everything going on it was nice to have some sort of routine back.

Best not to do walkin. Toss up if you will get someone who is good and can do beyond the basics. My design was horrible and it took her about 5 tries to do that! Don’t know why people have a hard time communicating what they can and cannot do instead they waste your time. Charge two dollars for card including apple pay 🤨. Not posted anywhere in the salon. Two days after service polish was peeling off. The owner and a couple others are the ONLY good techs, the rest are amateurs in the craft and need a WHOLE lot more training.

I had a good experience coming here getting my feet done I would recommend everyone to come here for all there services they provide.

My daughters manicure was gorgeous. However my nails were too sharp and the tech tried her best to mull them down. The acrylic was super thick and looked clumpy. The technician didn’t know how to use the galactic polish with the magnet and kept putting coats of polish and letting them dry, I suggested it works on wet nails maybe, but ignore that suggestion. The finished product was t bad until I could see in direct sunlight my nails looked like long witch nails with clumpy polish. I can’t believe I sat 3.5 for that. I ended up cutting them off with a wire cutter. Wasted $55. I didn’t have time to go back. I believe in second chances so after I soak off this monstrosity, I will be back only for a mani. I’ve seen them do amazing work so maybe Miriam was new new.

The staff was really nice. They gave me a glass of wine. The music was nice. They need a bigger space. But the girl who did my nails told me that a new location was coming soon. The only down side was my nails was lumpy. I would actually go back ...but I would want a different nail tech.

After having a horrible experience with another nail tech (not affiliated with glitter nail salon)I came to Glitter In search of better outcome with my nails. Upon entering the salon I was greeted and also offered a beverage of my choice. The staff members were friendly and most importantly professional! When I sat down to get my nails done my nail tech educated me on proper nail care. That has never happened to me as long as I’ve been getting my nails done. So not only did I get the provided service, but they threw in a touch of knowledge.It’s so refreshing to have a positive experience at a black owned Establishment! I felt as though I was home (corny I know but is the truth) The atmosphere was so positive. Each visit afterward When I enter the salon I’m greeted on a first name basis. I’m pleased with my nails and I’m happy to pay whatever price that’s given to me. I truly believe in you get what you pay for. Glitter nail salon specializes in Quality nail services all while promoting a Superb experience.

I went for the first and I had to return within an hour because there were problems with several nails. They gladly fixed it for free. However, a few nails were peeling only after one day. I sent a message via the website and never heard back. I called the following Tuesday and received a follow-up call the next day. They gladly had a new technician fix my nails for free.

In my experience, Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! I walked away a very unsatisfied customer. My first and only time there (which was 4 hours) and I was given a technician that had just finished the “nail academy” and in my opinion absolutely no experience BUT you bet they charged me prices for an experienced technician. I think a customer should be given the option and also offered reduced prices if that’s who you choose. The so called gel is a total waste of $$. I must say I was offered the opportunity to return and get nail repair but it makes no sense to me for the technician that messed them up should have to repair them, I was told that’s their policy, I chose not to return!!!! I must say everyone there was quite pleasant though, but unfortunately I will never patronize that particular business again, I TRIED!!!

Loved my experience! We recently had a spa party of 20 women today and the team did an excellent job. And they rocked it out for us! They are usually closed on Sundays but they opened for us and we all got serviced in a timely manner . They too their time with each service and made sure we were comfortable AND happy with our outcomes. The owners were very pleasant and the establishments was ran smoothly. If you want to be seen without a long wait ( BOOK AN APPOINTMENT) OR else hope for a no show.But all in all, . Ill be back! !!

When they first opened I had a manicure and was not impressed and at that time the nail specialist was very new and I could tell by the service I received. I decided to revisit especially now that they are advertising themselves as a full fledge nail academy. I called a little after 10 to ask if they accepted walk-ins. She said they did, but took my info and told me to come in between 10:15 and 10:30. I arrived at 10:20 and was told the nail specialist wouldn’t arrive until 10:30. Apologies were given and I was offered something to drink while I waited. I was immediately struck by how dusty and dirty the surroundings were so I declined. Kiim, my nail specialist arrived at 10:30 and was very personable and gave me an adequate manicure. Her area was also very dusty. In fact she had an allergic attack which I’m sure was made worse by the amount of dust on bins, chairs, etc. The nail dryer was coated inside and out with nail polish. When I asked if it was ever cleaned her response was I use the equipment I am given. I would not recommend and will not return.Addendum: my no-chip manicure chipped this morning.

Yes the salon is great, they love treating customers with respect, water or wine. However, $35 for no chip polish is CRAZYYYYY!!!!!! There is no way in this world I would ever spend $56 for a fill in and no chip polish again! Having fresh out of class nail tech work on me wasn’t what I expected! The gel powder was not put on evenly and the paint job was truly mediocre, and it took 2+ hours just for the fill in! Yes, they offered to fix it, in which they tried, but it’s still not what I expected at all ! I don’t know if I’ll be back!

I came in later on a Tuesday night and even though the place was packed they still made sure to fit me in for a pedicure. This was an overall good experience, everyone was so friendly and I look forward to coming back

I had a signature pedicure done here and the experience was so amazing! They didn’t rush on my feet, they offered me wine and water and the customer service was amazing! I can’t wait to go back! They rock!

Me giving the 2 stars was being nice, but they deserve 0. I will never ever go back here. This was my first and definitely last time. I will stick to my nail tech. The reason why I went, because it was a last resort and that my nail tech doesn’t take walk ins. Glitter stuck me with a new tech and she moves like molasses. It took her nearly 3 hours to do a fill in and it did not last long at all.

Went in for a full set. Very disappointed with the final product. The paint has enough bubbles in it to be considered a part of the design had I not been there for damn near FOUR hours (for a full set)I wouldve had her redo it. Then to find out that if you get gel polish its an additional $35. I will never EVER revisit this establishment.

Got a gel pedicure by an extremely new nail tech... Didnt know until she did my no chip Mani... Dont waste your money on the Gel experience, very overrated. Nail tech such a doll, but Gel pedicure $50 + $35 for no chip that chipped the exact same day with bubbles underneath polish clearly showing... Not my cup of tea. If you use a card youll be charged a $2 convenience fee...soooo tacky... They truly prefer cash. I truthfully give it a low rating because I feel Ive been took/Conned/treated unfairly due to not given the option to say if I wanted an experienced nail tech or one whos only been a tech less than a year.$87+ $5 tip just to have 2 nails to peel up and to see bubbles in my nails wasnt worth the drive far south suburbs to oak Park to go 2 days later and pay $63 to get no chip Mani and pedicure done over. Nice atmosphere though 😁

I had been going to this nail salon since October, and had a wonderful nail tech Jojo. She always does a wonderful job on my nails and she is a very sweet person. But the owners of this salon are unprofessional and disrespectful. As an owner/management you do not yell across the salon all your employees business in front of clients. They have done this twice and it’s ridiculous. As a Manager myself, I would never do that, as whatever problem you are having with that employee, is supposed to stay between management and the employee. I will not be spending another dime of my money with such people.

Everybody was helpful and friendly. I was worried about my wheelchair not being able to fit through the door. But it did and I was able to get my nails done. My nail technician did a Fantastic job on my nails and I will be going back.

Twice went there, and nails came out wrong, not happy with my services will take my business elsewhere I had a video shoot when I got my last nails done wouldnt shoot with these nails if they were the last nails on Earth sorry not sorry! So frustrated about it, my glitter is coming off one nail, the Polish was done completely wrong, and my nails are uneven. My opinion dont give someone who has only been doing nails for 4 months a client who is paying their money to you!

I went to this salon awhile ago with my best friend for her appointment, and I really wanted my eyebrows done. I believe her name was Noel, she was tall and had glasses. So while she waited in-between clients she waxed my eyebrows perfect with just a right amount of arch and definition to them. Noel you have a permanent eyebrow waxing client.

I wanted to support my fellow black sistas. The atmosphere was great. I had an appointment for Thursday @10:30 . I was introduced to the sweetest nail tech and she was very professional and very informative. However she asked what was I getting I told and she stated that it wasn’t her signature 🙄🤔. So I said ok no worries I’ll keep it simple I asked for a full set medium length and coffin shaped nails, simple right ? Nope I wasn’t happy with the ending result my nails weren’t medium they were short and the shape was off. I feel like If there’s starters doing nails then the prices should be more affordable! If the talent is there I don’t mind paying but unfortunately it just wasn’t there. I was very excited to go to the salon and now I’m upset that I spent my my money 😩. I wouldn’t visit the salon again nor refer anyone .

Terrible place they have so many hidden fees and they DO NOT know how to do nails. Don’t trust their prices and don’t waste your time. Just go to your usual salon where they are much more fair and talented. They also do not follow their appointment times, they are unprofessional, rude and they take 3 hours to do a terrible job. I didn’t think you could mess up a fill in and a pedicure but I was sadly mistaken. I will NEVER go back and I hope you heed my warning and never go there.

I walked in with no appointment and I was told it would be 10-20 minute wait which turned into 40-50 minutes!The technician that I had was not worth the wait! I had a very important meeting and I was embarrassed of my nails and was trying to hide them when I arrived.The nails were not buffed out well, so I had crated rough areas, the cuticle area was awful and in addition to that they did a lousy job on polishing them.It is my fault for stopping, it is a school!

Let me start off by saying that I was sorely disappointed in the contacting process. Trying to reach the owners to sign up for the nail program. Already a licensed professional in cosmetology I fell in love with nails. I had heard about this salon and decided to get some training through this establishment. I called left msgs. No reply I called no answer so I just popped in to see if I could meet in person. Well I did and felt Tisa the owner was cool and I left my card and felt really good about doing business within my community. So I called her after that no answer again this process repeated itself, until I called one morning at 10am and Nikki answered the phone. She was very short and rude right away. Now I have worked in customer service since I was 16 and in this beauty industry since 1997, and this young lady was not trying to help or understand why I needed to speak with Tisa instead she told me! Thats not Tisa job its tony WOw!!! So sad I said when will tony be in she said 230 ok so I called at 3:00 she answered the phone again I asked for tony she said who is this I gave my name she said he on lunch what?!?!?! He just started at 230. So again its sad that we cant work with our own, but much blessings on your next location

First time in the shop and its a beautiful inside, I had Jade as my nail tech and she did and excellent job, They explained the process of drilling the color of my nail and I got an understanding.Appreciate they took the time to explain the healthy way.

My first and last time going to this place. Extremely unprofessional. The senior tech had began to prep me walked away for about 20 or more minutes talking to I assume the owner. While she was doing my nails she took a break to eat. Ive never had that experience any where else. It took her 3 to 4 hours to do my nails.
