Safety Check for Out of ProvinceRight from the time i booked my appointment to do a Safety check to getting my vehicle ready Earl and his staff have been extremely courteous. They called me to say i would need to change the front brake pads and told me the cost. I knew about the front brake pads and the price they quoted was way lower than the dealership. Earl was just amazing! I heard some noise from my front left wheel before a journey and wanted to make sure that the CV joint was okay. When I reached the garage, Earl took my car in right away. He came back later to tell me that he saw nothing wrong with the car or the CV joint and it was ok for the journey! Didnt charge me a cent for it. Earl is honest, professional and courteous. Do yourself a favor and for any car related work, go to Gilsons Auto repair.

I called Gilson’s super last minute and I was in a bit of a pinch and needed work done on my vehicle. I live 6 hours north and didn’t feel comfortable driving with the way the vehicle was at the time. They were able to fit me in last minute and were way cheaper, faster, customer service oriented than any other auto shop I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend and will only go to this place from now on.

Earl said the vehicle needed $700.00 in work for a safety when it needed absolutely nothing, took it to Canadian Tire and they said it needed nothing and passed it for a safety. Do not trust Earl people.Response:My question would be to you, why did the dealer certify the vehicle and say nothing is wrong with it?

Earl and his sons are amazing people! They are very reasonable with pricing for what you need done to your vehicle, they do an amazing job when they are working on your vehicle, they are honest with and about their work and they are very friendly! I will not take my cars to another mechanic I only trust Gilsons!

Cant find better more honest mechanical experts anywhere. They will not pad the bill if you dont need the work done they wont tell you it has to be done! My father used them over 20 yrs ago. ..I still use them today. I wish they were closer to Ridgeway but well worth the drive. Do yourself and your wallet a huge favor and check these guys out the next time you need repairs. Theyre absolutely the next level mechanics.

Met Earl and his son today. They properly diagnosis my ac problem and changed my auto transmission fluid. Honest, capable mechanic. Completed everything in timely manner. Best referral business I met from my awesome neighbour. Much better than Cdn Tire. I am taking my car here from now on and referring all my neighbours here as well.

I have to give this guy 5 stars. I broke down about a kilometer away and thankfully someone was able to give me a boost to drive to his garage. I was with my boys visiting Niagara Falls for a few days so I suppose this was the best time to break down. Anyway, he fixed my car the next day while I was at the Falls and when I was ready to leave, Earl came out of his way to pick us up at our Motel. Turns out, it was an alternator problem. Considering I am from Montreal as well, this could have been worse for me. But Earl was the Life Saver for my trip and I truly appreciate all of his efforts from him and his team.Thanks Earl!Blake

I called them to ask about a price to get bushings done on my Volkswagen and they said they wouldnt even do the job. They said it was a troublesome job because it is a volkswagen. Would not recommend for any job if they think a simple job is too difficult to do
